- "Great hotel, highly recommend!" - "Located in the middle of the promenade, we had a sea view executive room, was lovely looking out to sea every morning. Our room was spacious with a large bay window, spotlessly clean and easily accessible via lift or stairs. The breakfast although a buffet had a good choice every morning with the opportunity to order specials from a menu. Would highly recommend the Piano bar for either a quick snack or an evening meal at a very reasonable price. I would recommend this hotel to anybody. "

- "Paid £4 per day for parking. Space not always available. Should be separate spaces for scooters and motor bikes as they took up the space of a car but only 2 bikes in the large car space. " - "Everyone was very nice and nice room. " - "It's well looked after. Clean and the staff are lovely. Being an old building the floor in our room sloped though not enough to be distracting from the experience. We had a sea view which was gorgeous. There is on street parking but it's generally restricted to 2 hours. Large multistorey car park behind which was not expensive. Easy walk to the ferry terminal and train station. Happy to accommodate my gluten free vegetarian diet"

Breakfast and evening meal options were fabulous with a wide variety for all. " - "Nice room with a comfortable bed" - "Dog friendly, very important as it is hard to find on IOM. - "Great location - lots of space in the apartment 👍" - "we had a gorgeous apartment on the 2nd floor with fantastic views of the sea, amazing location 5 mins walk from the ferry terminal and the town centre is very close, the bus stop is right outside the hotel which is handy, we even got an email from the hotel asking what we would like in our welcome pack, That was a lovely touch, we are already considering booking again" - "This apartment had a beautiful bay window view of the sea and the little castle in the bay. There is a small lift which was great for bringing up luggage. There was a fully stocked kitchen and they provided bread, butter, jam and some cake/cookies, coffee and tea. The reception was able to print our boarding tickets, as apparently IOM airport doesn't take boarding tickets from mobile devices for some reason."

- "On the waterfront, convenient, clean" - "Wonderful location, staff were friendly and competent. " - "We loved the building’s unmodernised features, especially the lift. The staff were professional and helpful. The location is perfect for the sea views and access to public transport." - "From start to finish I had a lovely time. I had a warm welcome from the desk and the room was spacious and clean with lovely touches like coffee facilities and a biscuit. The bar staff made me a smoked salmon sandwich which was what I wanted after a hard day. The Breakfast was excellent and set up on a little table with a clean tablecloth and a rose for an artistic touch. As a business woman staying on my own I felt safe at all times and there is a lovely old fashioned vibe about the place. I would recommend this hotel and will visit again."

- "My friend and I could not fault this farm holiday. The hosts were kind and helpful, everything was clean and in good repair. The animals were lovely!" - "Wonder location, excellent team, beautiful location. Cannot wait to go back for longer stay." - "We only stayed here 2 nights, but it worked great as a base for our isle exploration. It's 5 minutes from Peel, a lovely town with beautiful beaches and a spectacular castle to explore with our kids. At the farm itself, the room was very cozy, the classic breakfast was excellent, the farm animals were fun to see, and as I discovered the farm is adjacent to public walking trails, enabling a quick hike to spectacular views of Peel and the ocean, with much longer walks presumably also possible. You probably need a car to get there, though if we were traveling without kids we might have attempted it by public transport: there is a bus stop in front of the farm (1/2mi to the guesthouse) that appears to be served 4x/day in the summer, or you could walk the 2mi into Peel for far more frequent options. - "The HQ restaurant was exceptional. They had a special TT menu, and I can tell you it was prepared with Michelin style attention The staff made our stay really great, with a special acknowledgment to Phil and the Chef The hotel was historic, and historically old. But still grateful for the stay while at TT. " - "It is a difficult time in the service industry to get enough employees. - "The propery is very clean staff were very helpful Info about meal times werent clear I would stay here again" - "The room was on the top floor and was reasonable spacious and clean. There is a lift but it is small and only takes 4 people. The breakfast was standard but service was quite prompt in the morning. The island authorities were digging up the road outside the Hotel in order to create a new Tram system along the front at Douglas. This work meant that there was a one way system in operation there and getting buses meant a detour to the bus station. The room was cleaned every day whilst we were there. We believe that the 3 stars was well earned. We did not employ WiFi whilst we were there."

Staff could not do enough for us and went out of their way to make my wife's birthday one to remember. Many thanks to you all." - "Firstly let me say that is a very well located hotel right on the promanade, with bus services close by and the main shops a couple of hundred metres away. It is of an older design so has steps up to reception and at a guess most of it is not very wheelchair friendly. Hoeever, it offers great value rooms that are pretty decent in size. Ours did not have a sea view, but others did. Our room was pretty well appointed for the money that we paid with tea/coffee making facilities and a reasonable TV. Breakfast Mon-Sat is a hot buffet with some reasonable quality ingredients. On Sunday it appears to be cooked to order. Nothing appeared too much trouble for them. Eg. Making wholemeal bacon sandwiches. The staff all round are excellent. A lady even waited for us to check in after major delays with our evening flight to the Island. The staff are also both friendly and helpful. Very good local knowledge about tourist sites, local eateries and the like. It also has a decent bar at the front of the building where the bar staff make you feel welcome. Brilliant value for money. A perfectly decent staff with welcoming staff in a historic building which has been well modernised"

It is well-located and close to the promenade. The breakfasts set me up well for each day." - "Really good stay.Excellent breakfast that set me up for the rest of the day. Sharon is a great host. Clean and comfortable accommodation." - "After a difficult start trying to work out how to activate the keypad to enter the building, we ended up having to call the proprietor. After managing to enter the property, we had another problem. Which one was our room? Another phone call! Apparently we were meant to have received a text a day earlier but I hadn't, but the text was resent and by now knew how to operate the key pad. Room was lovely. Actual plug sockets next to the beds. Plenty of tea and coffee supplies. No wardrobe, just a hang rail, ended up using the small cupboard under the tea and coffee, sharing my clothes with the iron and hairdryer! Bathroom was cosy, shall I say, but the shower was powerful and hot. WiFi was hit and miss, and that was after you ended up with the right password as the password in the welcome pack was wrong, but the person who texted me back with the right password acted like it was MY fault I got the password wrong and didn't reply when I told her what she texted me and what was printed was different. I couldn't remember if breakfast was included, but was pleased to see it mentioned in the welcome pack, served from 7.30-9.30. We got down there at 8.50, only to find a breakfast free room, despite signs telling us to "help ourselves" there wasn't even so much as a bowl of cornflakes! So we had to go into town and find a cafe. "

- "Great location. Parking space on car park to the rear. Spotlessly clean. William the receptionist / caretaker was excellent. Has everything you need. However, it sells itself as a luxury apartment and it doesn’t live up to it. Eg. In the bedroom there is only one bedside table and lamp. On one corner of the bed there is only six inches in which to get past. The wardrobe is not great quality and the sliding door comes of it’s rail easily. ( can also be put back easily but.. ) in the living room the settee is ok but not the most comfortable. Also no welcome pack unless you count a few sachets of coffee, tea and milk, which I don’t. Considering the cost of renting this place a little remiss. Whilst we enjoyed Castletown we won’t return the Halvaard Appt."

Packet House is one of a collection of refurbished listed buildings in an historic area of Castletown in the south of the Isle of Man. Castletown itself is full of history and the home of a number of Manx National Heritage sites.
Packet House has been lovingly refurbished to a very high standard, with 2 double bedrooms (plus a separate infant nursery) and a comfortable open plan lounge and dining area.
Sit and enjoy the fantastic views over the harbour and across to Castletown bay from the protruding viewing gallery, part of the large open plan living area. Next door is Ellan Vannin, which sleeps 6 so could be booked together for a larger group.

- "Maggie's cottage is an amazing tranquil contemporary cottage, with stunning views of the surrounding Greeba Valley. We were welcomed by Fliss and Phil, who are great hosts. The cottage is well equipped for a short, or longer stay and we felt right at home immediately. The location is great for exploring the Isle of Man, being quite central, you are only 15-20 minutes away from Douglas, Peel, Laxey, and Castle Town. Likewise Phil recommended a couple of good pubs, and local walking locations, which we gave a go and they didn't disappoint! In all we really enjoyed our stay, and Maggie's cottage is first on the list to book, when we head back to the Isle of Man in future."

- "The property is in a wonderful location, rural and very near a beautiful sandy beach. It is well equipped with every thing you need for a comfortable stay. It’s spacious and has plenty of room for everybody, plus a games room and bar. Would definitely recommend a stay at this property" - "Pleasant, helpful and friendly owners. Just mind your head on the cooker extractor it’s slightly low." - "We will be back. It was an incredibly hot week and the house was perfect; it would have been great in the rain too. Wonderful evening views of the sunset and we walked on the beach every day. Hosts were extremely accommodating and had provided all that was needed in terms of bathroom soaps and shampoos, kitchen cleaning and loo rolls etc for the whole stay. Well equipped kitchen, great living/games room. Quiet and secluded patio area. Our dogs loved it and set up home in the utility which could be secured for them after beach runs. The garden wasn’t secure but with well behaved dogs and no passing traffic this wasn’t an issue. Loads of fridge and freezer space and fantastic oven. There is a narrow grass/ gravel track for access and this was absolutely fine for confident motorcycle riders. Only improvement we could think of was protecting the corners of the low hood over the hob- the sharp edges proved a bit dangerous to anyone over 5 ft 8 in who was cooking!"

- "As a family of 8, we really enjoyed our stay at Bradda Place. It was extremely comfortable and we loved being able to eat together in the kitchen. We had plenty of room. The shops were less than a 5 minute walk from the house and the beach was across the street and down steps. We couldn't have asked for anything more!" - "We really enjoyed our accommodation at Bradda Place - Everything was spotlessly clean, the beds very comfortable - excellent kitchen fully equipped and great space. A lovely welcome pack was so good to see when we arrived. We had one little negative which was the water pressure in the shower (but bathrooms were absolutely clean and modern) - I would have enjoyed a few extra pillows but overall I am very happy to recommend this accommodation and I hope I will get to stay there again in the future."

- "Absolutely amazing place to stay. Good layout and spaciousness of the cottage plus views from garden was just stunning. Brilliant location being able to walk from The Pines to beach, village and hills . Really considerate host and loved details such as wine and chocs. A very minor detail - it would have helped to have more mugs and plates etc to save hand washing, but overall a great place to stay. Thanks Gaye, we loved it." - "Stayed for 1 week May 2023 as two couples. The cottage was superb, well equipped, clean and spacious. Situated in a tranquil setting with sea views but a short drive into Port Erin for food etc. Would highly recommend."

We know you will be delighted when you arrive at Close Taggart. These two gold award holiday cottages, Thie Rhennie ("House of Ferns") and Thie Lough ("House of the Lake") can be found well off the beaten track, deep in the countryside, about two miles from the nearest small supermarket, bus routes and village, and six from the nearest town (Ramsey).
Thie Rhennie has one bedroom and provides the perfect setting for a special break for two.
The owners live on site and will be on hand to greet you and provide any assistance you require, you will have total freedom to enjoy the extensive grounds of Close Taggart which includes a tree house and viewing platform high up in the trees, where you can sit and enjoy a complementary glass of wine. In addition, a further viewing platform provides fabulous views of the setting sun to the west. There is also a summerhouse for guests to use.
The holiday cottages are a great base for nature lovers. The Curraghs where the cottages are located, is an area of wetland and a rich haven of biodiversity with rare flora and fauna. Wild wallabies, normally found in warmer climes, are also thriving here. The animals, native to Australia and Tasmania, have been flourishing ever since a pair escaped in the 1970s from the Curraghs wildlife park, a short distance from the cottages. Researchers believe now there are more than a 100 living in the wild. It is possible to see wallabies living in the wild on one of the short walks from the cottages.
We are very willing to assist with mobility issues, but unfortunately we are unable to accommodate full time wheel chair users due to the layout of the cottage. You can park close to the entrance, with a gravel/grassed area and cobblestones leading to two small entrance steps. Inside the cottage the kitchen and lounge are on the ground floor with normal width stairs leading to the bedroom and bathroom on the first floor.

- "A warm welcome awaited us from the owners John and Shirley, they were fantastic as we were later in arriving - the cottage was nice, warm, cosy and welcome surprises. We were over for a specific event, however there was lots of information on things to do in the welcome pack. I would of loved to wander around the garden but it was too dark by the time we got back in the evening. We would definitely recommend this cottage. Loved the location as it was out of town and remote, perfect, We will definitely be back."

Wisteria Cottage is a self-catering holiday cottage in a wonderfully rural location in the north of the Isle of Man. In the surrounding area is an expanse of farmland providing the perfect scenery to truly relax and unwind in the great outdoors!
The property is set in lovely gardens and woodland, complete with a small lake, it’s part of a working farm and you’ll see cows in the fields and crops growing. Take a walk around and lose yourself in the many acres of land that the cottage sits within. There is an abundance of flora surrounding Wisteria Cottage and a dawn walk to listen to the birdsong is quite magical. The cottage has the beautiful walled garden for your exclusive private use, a real suntrap or place to look at the stars!
If nature is your thing then you have to explore The Ayres National Nature Reserve, a 15 minute drive away. A quirky part of the island to visit is that's also protected is Ballaugh Curraghs wetlands, home to a unique colony of wild, but shy, wallabies descended from previous escapees from the Wildlife Park.
The cottage is extremely fortunate to be in an area where several species of bat were identified during a recent bat survey. You may be lucky enough to see them at dusk or even hear bat activity at night! The bats' summer roosts are normally active until mid September. You will see the wonderful little creatures emerge from a spot beneath the roof above the back door of the cottage to search for flying insects throughout the night, it’s fleeting but a lovely sight. The cottage has recently been awarded The Unesco Biosphere Award, having become part of the agri-environment scheme.

- "Enjoyed a wonderful stay at Wisteria Cottage which was prepared beautifully for our arrival with a few welcome provisions in the fridge too! Beverley gave us a lovely warm welcome and showed us around the walks on the estate- exceeded our expectations- and the secret private garden too for our use! She was a lovely neighbourly presence throughout our stay. We loved the peace and space of the location with gorgeous views of Snaefell and the surrounding hills. The cottage is spacious and beautifully maintained with three showers suited the needs of a family of 5 with teenagers. Beverley even provided garden games and treats for our dog. The only suggestion is that the duvets were quite thick for summer and so a lighter tog with blanket would have suited us better. The IOM escape team have been swift, helpful and professional throughout the whole booking and our stay. Very impressed and will highly recommend to others. Thank you to everyone!"

Beautifully situated in a peaceful location right on the coast (actually on the Isle of Man Coastal Footpath), this 3-bedroom house has wonderful sea views and is just yards away from the huge sandy beach of Ramsey Bay, the Island's recently designated Marine Nature Reserve. An ideal spot for walkers, cyclists, bird-watchers, watersports enthusiasts or anybody just looking for a relaxing break. It is just a short walk into Ramsey, the main town of the North of the island, with its shops, restaurants, pubs and busy working harbour. And, of course, Ramsey is the northernmost point - and has excellent spectating points - on the world-famous TT Mountain Course.
Relax with a nice glass of wine, or enjoy your morning cup of coffee in the gazebo looking out across the bay with views of the Cumbrian coast and the Lake District fells.
Enjoy a walk into town along the extensive sandy beach (tides permitting) or in the opposite direction to visit the wreck of the Fleetwood trawler Cevic - lost in 1927 (all hands saved).
Ground Floor Living room -

Of historic, literary or architectural interest - The land on which Kilmuir now stands was once part of the high-walled garden of a large Victorian property on Ballure Road. The historic gazebo (summer-house) dates from that period and can be seen on many Victorian and Edwardian photos and postcards of old Ramsey.
