- "I needed a place to stay in Alcala de Henares for a weekend, so I booked this efficient yet spacious studio. The place was exceptionally clean, and felt safe with 2 locked doors to gain entry. The location is very convenient as I was within walking distance of everything in the town center. The queen sized bed’s mattress was very comfortable. You will hear some noise from the street just outside your window, but I slept well with my sound machine app on my phone. I would stay here again on my next visit."

Alcala has been part of my life since I lived only 4 blocks away for 3 years while stationed at Torrejon Air Base (1981-1985). This centrally-located apartment is an absolute treasure as are Miguel and Pili, the hosts. They again did everything possible to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Miguel was again there to greet us and insure our comfort. We just walked in, dropped our luggage, and knew we were home. In addition to all the creature comforts we could possibly have wanted, there were gifts of national beverage and treats. Located on the pedestrian-only Calle Mayor, just step out the front door and you are in the heart of all the city's wonderful energy. Having a fully-equipped kitchen, washing machine, air-conditioning and flat-screen TV on both the main floor and in the large bedroom loft, a complete dining area and living room, and a beautiful back terrazza, I can't think of anything else we could want for. Pili keeps the plants on the terrazza and the two front balconies that overlook the Calle Mayor in beautiful condition. Public parking is under the market just a short two blocks away. The daily charge varies according to the season. We had some special requests related to Ann's health. Our hosts went above and beyond to meet them. He and Pili live and work nearby and are available at the drop of a hat. Thank you so much once again to Pili and Miguel! We will be back again and again for as long as you will have us."

In the extreme heat of the Madrid area it could do with a small Aircon unit. - "Lovely little apartment in the heart of Alcala de Henanes. Nicely furnished with all necessary amenities. The owner Felisa met us at the apartment, showed us where everything was and was kind enough to escort us to the free parking facility. Two issues we had was 1. no wifi and 2. the apartment is on the main street Calle Major and on Friday and Saturday nights it is really noisy, most of the night. Also please be aware that it is a 3rd floor walk-up. That was not a problem for us but might be for some. All in all it was an enjoyable experience.
