Pros: 1)Great location – situated one street away from Mongkok shopping district. Mongkok is famous for its memorable shopping and eatery experience. You can shop till you drop from mid-morning to late-night daily and try out all sorts of indigenous foods 24/7. 2)Excellent transportation network – within a few minutes walking distance, you get railway, local bus, airport bus, mini-bus, and subway that can transport yourself to anywhere in Hong Kong in a short time or take a taxi 24/7 around the corner. 3)Good privacy – you have the whole apartment by yourself with no intrusions. 4)Good standard facility – satisfactory bathroom and twin bed by Hong Kong standard, decent space to place luggage. 5)Good indoor environment – it’s a tiny apartment with windows only on one side but the apartment is surprisingly bright, cool and not humid all day around. Open a window once in a while to allow fresh air to come in, turn on the air conditioning, you do feel comfortable. Plug-in at all corners to recharge your laptop, phone, and iPad. 6)Excellent Wi-Fi – two thumbs up. Cons: 1)A bit rundown – toilet seat is loose, drawers under bed not fully functional, closets are full of stuffs (pillows and beddings for a third person), and air conditioning is a bit noisy that needs a good cleaning and servicing. 2)Not thoroughly cleaned - the mini-refrigerator’s freezer box is ice blocked with remnants from previous occupant, all storage compartments looks unclean, there are dust on obvious areas (on top of the fuse box, door trims, TV, corners of sofa and bed, and the cover of air-conditioning etc.), and stain marks on walls. 3)Domestic noise – the apartment is next to the fire escape corridor leading to the stairs where residents living on the same floor dump their refuse into two big refuse bins at the corner. If you have little idea about what cloudy living conditions is like, it will take a while for you to get used to the sounds from domestic activities. In Hong Kong, this is perfectly normal. 4)No dead bolt on entrance door – occupant will feel safer if there is a dead bolt on the door. 5)Need to bring your own amenities – there is a mini-refrigerator, an induction cooker, a pot, an electric kettle, and a hair dryer in the apartment and one toilet roll in the toilet, that’s it. This beautiful apartment is located in the heart of Mong Kok, right next to the famous Ladies Market. Mong Kok is one of Hong Kongs most lively neighborhoods with much activity almost 24 hours per day.

The flat has a unique triangular terrace that is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or relaxing after a walk through this bustling area or a long day sightseeing. In the flat itself, there are two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a common room.

Both bedrooms feature a comfy double bed with fresh linens, fresh towels, cabinets and an air conditioning unit. The living room has a sofa bed and AC unit too. This means that up to six people can stay in this flat comfortably. It is perfect for families and small groups of friends.

Directions and Helpful Tips:

Getting to the flat is easy. We will provide the exact address upon completion of the booking. We recommend that all guests consult Google Maps prior to their arrival or the map photo in the photos section of this listing. The flat is not hard to find, provided you examine the map.

From the Airport:
- Airport Express/MTR: The closest Airport Express stop is at Kowloon Station (HK$90). It contains the arrival and in-town check-in facilities for the airport. If you go that route, it is easiest to take a taxi from Kowloon Station to the flat, although you can arrive at Mong Kok Station by taking the MTR in various directions. However, you will save a lot of money and effort, and maybe even some time, if you just take the bus from the airport (see below).

- Bus: Note that buses in Hong Kong take exact change or Octopus payment. If you do not have an Octopus card, you may use the airport kiosk to buy a ticket. Take bus A21 to Sino Centre. From there, walk north along Nathan Road until you reach the tunnel under Nathan Road. Dont enter the tunnel, but turn right onto the street where the tunnel comes out. That is Soy Street. Walk two streets and you will reach Tung Choi Street, where the Ladies Market is located.

- Taxi: You may take a taxi directly from the airport. Budget at least HK$250 to the neighborhood where the flat is situated. If the driver has any trouble with the address, tell him to go to the Ladies Market. The taxi cant turn into the market during the day, but you will be able to walk to the flat from its entrance.

Neighborhood Overview:
Mong Kok is one of Hong Kongs densest areas and is filled to the brim with all sorts of shops, dining options and supermarkets. You will find everything from shoes to electronics to cosmetics. Just downstairs is Tung Choi Street, the site of the Ladies Market, along which you will find many souvenir stalls and restaurants. You can see the market by looking over the wall of the flats unique terrace. And, just a few streets over is Sai Yeung Choi Street. It becomes a lively walking street with street performers on the weekends after 4pm.

Other markets in easy walking distance include the Flower and Bird Markets (north of Prince Edward Road West and west of Sai Yee Street), and the Goldfish Market (on Tung Choi Street north of Burd Street). The Bird Market has an amazing diversity of birds and bird products on sale. The Flower Market and Goldfish Markets are what the names suggest.

One MTR stop south is Yau Ma Tei, home to the Temple Street Night Market. The market opens in the late afternoon and stretches from south to north along Temple Street from Jordan Road to Man Ming Lane. It is filled with souvenir stalls and food options. Note that the night market is cut in two. The north half is past Kansu Street and the expressway. Make sure to look for Tin Hau Temple, one of the oldest temples in the neighborhood and a major landmark. It is north of the expressway. Yau Ma Tei is also home to the Jade Market. You will find it just north of Kansu Street under the expressway.

In Tsim Sha Tsui you will find the Kowloon Park, the Star Ferry and the best harbor view. It is a very busy neighborhood that is one of Hong Kongs most diverse. It holds many small shops selling everything from luxury goods to suits to watches to electronics.

If you wish to get away from the markets and take in the neighborhood from on high, we recommend that you visit the ICC. It is the very tall building above Kowloon Station. You may visit the observation deck for a fee, or, if you are properly attired (no shorts or sandals), you may visit Ozone, the caf located just below the observation deck. The view from the 118th floor is worth the trip.

All of these areas are densely populated. On the weekend, they can get very crowded. In particular, Mong Kok is popular among working class Hongkongers, especially younger ones. There is much to see, much to do, and much to eat. All you need to bring is some energy.

Getting Around:
From point A to point B:

MTR: The closest MTR station is Mong Kok Station (Exit E2), located just minutes from the flat. You may come out of Exit E2, walk up Nelson Street and turn right on Tung Choi Street, where the Ladies Market is located. From there, it is easy to get to Soy Street. The MTR will take you most places you wish to go. You may purchase single-journey tickets or an Octopus card for convenient local travel.

Bus: Buses going to many places run up and down Nathan Road. Note that buses require exact change or Octopus payment.

Taxi: There are plenty of taxis in this area. Flagfall is currently HK$22. Drivers almost always remember to use the meter, but do pay attention. Also, if you plan to travel longer distances by taxi, or plan to cross the harbor, be aware that passengers are responsible for toll payments.

Foot: We like to walk unless the distance is greater than that of one MTR stop. In general, most of the area is accessible by foot, although it does help to be in good health if you intend to rely on this mode of transport.

Rickshaw: Yes, that would be nice. But they do not exist anymore.

Getting to Major Tourist Sites:

Disneyland: You may reach it by taking the MTRs red line toward Tsuen Wan until you reach Lai King. At Lai King, transfer to the orange line toward Tung Chung. Get off at Sunny Bay where you can transfer to the Disneyland Resort line.

Bug Buddha/Tai O: Take the MTR red line toward Tsuen Wan until you reach Lai King. At Lai King, transfer to the orange line toward Tung Chung. From Tung Chung Station, you can reach either destination by bus or, if heading to the Big Buddha, you may take the cable cars from Tung Chung to Ngong Ping.

Ocean Park: Citybus route 629 runs from the Central Star Ferry Terminal and from Admiralty MTR.

Stanley Market: From Exchange Square in Central, you may take busses 6, 6X or 260. Buses 6X and 260 also pass by Deepwater Bay and Repulse Bay, each of which has a beach.

Mainland Border: In case you are heading to Shenzhen, you may take the MTR East Rail Line. From this flat, it is easiest to walk to Mong Kok East Station (10 minutes). Walk east on Argyle Street until you reach the tracks. A stairway will bring you up to the platform level. From there, you can walk north to the station entrance.

Macau: Ferries depart frequently from the China Ferry Terminal on Canton Road in Tsim Sha Tsui and from the Macau Ferry Terminal in Sheung Wan on Hong Kong Island.

Outlying Islands: Ferries to Mui Wo on Lantau Island, Lamma Island, Cheung Chau and Peng Chau depart frequently from the row of piers next to the Central Star Ferry Pier. Ferries typically depart every half hour.

It is just so accessible to live here. There are a wide variety of shops: computer, sports, electronics...
Several new and big malls are built recently with worldwide famous brands. Langham place is just 3 minutes walk from the apartment.

Restaurants serving cuisines all over the world. More than 1500 restaurants just downstairs to next 2 streets.

There are various convenient stores and supermarkets around. They opens everyday (some 24 hrs). No worry for daily needs

The Neighborhood

The apartment is walking distance to many of the great markets in Mong Kok (Ladies market just downstairs) , flower market, bird market, goldfish market, etc). There are plenty of cheap and cheerful restaurants, boutiques, and stores to buy whatever you forgot to bring with you! Tim Ho Wun, one of the cheapest Michelin star restaurants in the world, is just 5 minutes away.

If you won't mind for a bit crowd with your friend, it is welcomed to host more guests. More mattress could be provided. Just let me know.

Very close to the subway (exit E2), this fully furnished 1 bed room apartment has everything you need for your wonderful stay in Hong Kong. Each bed room has comfortable 6ft x 4ft double bed. The living room has a sofa bed (optional) and a 4 seater dining table.

Fully equipped kitchen has fridge, washer, dryer, cooking stove, coffee machine, microwave oven etc.
Toilet and the bathroom are separate. We also provide the hair dryer, kettle and so on.

- "We have six adults, hence one bathroom became an issue. The location is very strategic where you can shop and eat just at downstairs. The rooms are really small, which making us felt crowded and especially a long and tiring day, you won't feel good unless you don't mind. The landlord is kind that she helped us to book a seven seater car to the airport since we have quite a lot of luggage."
