Our Brand New Apartment (inaugurated in Dec'23) is strategically located in the center of the mall road - center point between Picture Palace and Library Chowk. A very peaceful area just at a 11-13 minutes walk from the mainstream Mussoorie mall road providing the calm, privacy and unwinding you're looking for,  and yet not far away from the mall road buzz. The view from the Balcony is breathtaking. Dehradun glitters like Diamonds/ twinkling Stars from our balcony at night :)

For those visiting Mussoorie for the 1st time - The Mussoorie mall road is one of the most happening and admired walking street amongst all other hill stations with loads of good eateries and recreational joints

Once you book the property and when i get your number, I will send you a video on what app that'll show exactly how to get to our house from "Negi Tea Stall" situated in the middle of the famous "Kalsang Chinese Restaurant" & "Luxmount Hotel" at the mall road. It'll take approx under 500 steps / 6-8 minutes downhill walk to our house from "Negi Tea Stall" at the mall road and 11-13 minutes uphill walk back to the mall road from our house (depending on your fitness level) - some healthy cardio exercise :) The video will also show where to park your car for free at your own risk or where you could avail paid parking too. I personally used that free parking space for 2 months while I was building the house and did not face any challenges. You just have to park the car straight and as close as you can to the wall so you don't obstruct the road just before Negi tea stall and then walk down to our house through the narrow road going downhill right opposite Negi Tea Stall. You can bring your car in the mall road only if the authorities allow given they sometimes close car entry due to rush in the mall road. I would have loved to send you this video in advance but there is no provision on Air BNB to upload videos hence will have to send it when i get your number post your booking.

The walk up and down from our house is a bit steep just like the walk on the road where we have the famous "Lovely Omelette Shop" and like the road way up to the famous Chinese Restaurant "Kalsang". The road to our house is like a little treasure hunt trek :) Not suitable for someone who's used to a sedentary lifestyle or who's not used to uphill walking/cardio excercise irrespectiveof their age..I've seen the 70+ age group comfortable with this walk and the one's in 20's unable to cope up due to their lifestyle/ fitness quotient..so its not about age..its about your patience, mental and physical fitness..The iconic Mussoorie mall road also has steep up and down roads when you walk around there and tourists still love walking from one end to the other end of the mall road multiple times a day..so practically it's pretty much the same kind of roads to our house as-well..My 70 yr old Mom, My 10 yr old daughter and my 40 yr wife and me being 42 love these walks :) The BIGGEST USP of our house is it's walking connectivity to the mall road. Its quite, private, peaceful yet not far away from the Mall Road Shor Sharaba (11-13 Minutes walk). Mostly all other renowned Air Bnb's are outside and far off from the mall road and mostly need to use their vehicles each time they want to come to the mallroad.

If you are not used to walking on up and down hilly roads, pls take baby steps while walking up to the mall road from our house so you don't run out of breath and do the same when you are walking on uphill roads on the mall road too.. And so you can enjoy the walk and view along the way. I will be sending you videos post your booking showing you the way as well. I would have sent in advance but there's no provision of doing that on the air bnb platform and prior to me getting your number.

Mentioning all of this in the spirit of full transparency so you can make an informed decision and so there is no disconnect later..Looking forward to serve you 🙏

While our property is a self checkin property with no dedicated care taker on site given its a self sufficient house, however we have engaged Surender who works at a nearby guest house (Sakshi Guest House) for any assistance that a guest may need on paid basis. You can call Surender for assisting with carrying your suitcases and getting you checked in if required. Just be kind enough in tipping him pls each time you avail his service. Given Surender works at a guest house, there's a possibility of him not being available for service owing to him being busy with his guests at the guest house, so pls patient with that situation 🙏

He wouldn't expect much, just a courtesy humble tip with a smile should him happy and will keep him motivated to give you royal treatment :) Just try calling Surender an hour in advance so he could make appropriate arrangements if he's available. Calling him last minute might thin your chances of getting assistance. Also you might spot street dogs/puppies and Langoor on your walk to our house and walk to the house also is a bit deserted but the most beautiful pearls are found in the deepest of seas, so don't let the walk discourage you, you'd love the "gem" we've built when you get to it.. Animals on the way are absolutely harmless and at super peace with human presence in their habitat. Just ignore them and keep walking. Pet the puppies if you'd like :)

Other things to note
Assuming you already know this if you've been to Mussoorie in the past, but if you haven't just to let you know...If you are coming by your personal vehicle, you will have to pay a toll fee to enter the Mussoorie mall road approx INR 100 (variable basis govt. decisions). If you are coming by cab, pls check with your cab driver on this in advance. Allot of times cab drivers prefer dropping guests and avoid entering the mallroad to avoid paying the toll fee. If that is going to be the scenario with you, you will have to either take a cycle Rickshaw until Jhulaghar and then walk down to our house from there.

Depending on traffic conditions, heavy crowd or planned/unplanned events at the mall road, Mussoorie local authorities could restrict private car or taxi movement totally on the mall road as-well irrespective of the time in the day or month/season in the year. Something I or any hotelier/merchant in Mussoorie doesn't have any control over. In this case you will have to park your car either at the Library Chowk or Picture Palace mall road entry and walk into the mall road on foot and then take a cycle Rickshaw to our house depending upon their availability aswell. This phenomenon would pretty much apply to every hotel / guest house / air bnb property in the mall road - not just only applicable to our house - hence pls don't expect for me to be able to do anything about it.

Monsoon Advisory - Mussoorie is a beautiful hill town known for its lush greenery, but it also receives exceptionally heavy and continuous rainfall during the monsoon season. Despite our best efforts with terrace waterproofing and regular maintenance, prolonged downpours can occasionally lead to minor seepage, roof drips, or moisture in certain areas of the property. This is a common occurrence across homes in the region (except perhaps ultra-luxury hotels) and is largely due to the nature of the terrain and climate. We’re constantly working to minimize any such inconvenience and appreciate your understanding should you encounter this during your stay. We're calling this out in advance in the spirit of complete transparency.

Please Note: The water pressure in the apartment is nominal, as our 1000-liter water tank is located on the terrace — you’ll notice it on the right side as you enter the house, just beside the staircase. Since there isn’t a significant height difference between the tank and the apartment, the flow isn’t high-pressure or gushing. That said, there is uninterrupted 24/7 water supply throughout the house. We wanted to call this out in advance in the spirit of full transparency, so you know what to expect during your stay.

This recently remodelled two-bedroom apartment is situated in Mussoorie, a well-known tourist destination known as the "Queen of the Hills," offering breath taking views of the Himalayan range.

Mussoorie Mall Road is a ten minutes walk from the property. There's also complimentary breakfast and an on call caretaker available.

The space
The property has various amenities just a short drive away. Kempty Falls - 40 minute drive, Landor - 20 minute drive and George Everest is a 30 minute drive.

There are 70-80 stairs to reach the property.

Living Room
A spacious cosy area to relax in with access to a balcony overlooking the mountains, a perfect area for your peaceful morning tea/coffee while soaking up the views. There is a sofa and two free standing cushioned chairs, the sofa transforms into a sofa bed and sleeps two adults. On top of the console is a flat screen 52' television with Netflix, YouTube and Amazon Prime. WiFi is available for all guests.

Bedrooms
There are two bedrooms with attached bathrooms. Both rooms have a double size beds with semi-soft mattresses and cushions for a restful night's sleep. Bedroom two has balcony access.

Bathrooms
All bathrooms are equipped with geysers for hot water. Essentials like soap, toilet paper and a jet have been included. Towels are available on request.

Kitchen
The open kitchen leads to the dining area and has a microwave, kettle and a refrigerator. All cooking essentials including pans, utensils, cutlery, crockery are stored in the cabinets.

Guest access
Car parking facility is available for 1 - 2 cars in which the caretaker will guide you to.

We kindly request our guests to treat the home with care.
Smoking is allowed but only outdoors on the balcony.
Loud music is not allowed past 10 pm both indoor and outdoor.
Any damage to the property caused by the guest will incur a charge for the repair or replacement.
Any illegal activity including but not limited to the use of narcotics is strictly not permitted.

Rickshaws are available from the Library chowk which is a walk of 200 mtrs away from our apartment. This is where the Mall road starts and one can either walk or take a Rickshaw along the mall road.

Kempty falls - 25 mins away by car

Adventure park Mussoorie - 5 mins walking . it's located on library chowk. Recommended for activities like zip line, rock climbing and rappelling.

Bhatta Falls - A picnic place with a beautiful waterfall. It is about 20 mins by car
