The apartment is 5 mins by car (or metro) from the city of Vila do Conde and 20 mins by car (or metro) to Oporto city. The beach is still unspoiled by mass tourism and it's only used by locals (search online for Praia de Azurara for pictures). It's one of the best beaches for Surfing (rental equipment at the beach - contact details in the apartment). There are a few cafes, bakeries, supermarkets, restaurants and a nightclub within walking distance.

Airport - Oporto airport is less than 20 mins (by car).
Golf - Estela Golf 18 holes course is 20 mins (by car). One of the best in Portugal.
Casino - Casino da Póvoa is only 10 mins away by car, great place for food and entertainment.
Kitesurfing - amazing kitesurfing area in Esposende, 20 mins (by car).
Wakeboarding - at the beautiful and scenic Barragem do Ermal, 60 mins (by car).

Getting around - It's really easy to get around, search online for 'metro do porto', the area is served by the red line of the metropolitan, which goes directly to Oporto, airport, Vila do Conde city center, etc. The metro stop is ~20 min walk from the apartment complex.
- A taxi from the airport to the apartment is ~25€.
- The best option however is to rent a car as it will give you the freedom to visit amazing historical places like Viana do Castelo, Braga, Guimarães and of course, Oporto!

A car is needed to get around although you could walk to town or the train station if necessary. The train to Porto is about 40-50 min. The location of the condo was a bit difficult to find on GPS but we put in a nearby restaurant (Inova Beach Restaurant) as our target and it got us back easily each time."

1 - Based on my impression of the owner through his emails, we extended our stay from a week to 12 days. This proved an excellent decision. Carlos is a very nice man who takes great pride and care in his spacious, well furnished apartment. It is furnished to a high standard .. The large terrace gives great views of the sea and spectacular sunsets. The immediate location is a fishing village with long boardwalks, behind excellent beaches. The outstanding feature is the fast, modern metro connection to Porto to city that repays multiple visits. With a car you can explore the Douro valley and take a train or boat expedition up it..Also there is a range of towns within easy traveling distance. We used the Portsmouth / Bilbao ferry which combined with the superb, empty Spanish / Portuguese motorways made for an easy journey.
We do not usually return to places, preferring new experiences, but we are making an exception of Carlos's apartment.

2 - We have just spent a happy and relaxing week in Carlos's apartment in delightful Vila Cha. The apartment is clean, comfortable, well-equipped and homely - the proximity to the sea and views of the sea are wonderful. The set-up worked very well with our lively two year old. We enjoyed early morning runs along the boardwalk followed by a bracing dip in the sea. The beach was busy with locals every day. Local restuarants and shops served as well as the local taxi driver for trips to Vila de Conde, the subway for a day out in Porto and airport transfer. Highly recommended for a taste of Portuguese village seaside life.

We can arrange our housekeeper, to come from the thorough clean for an additional charge and she is available most days. We will leave you plenty of fresh towels but if you need more it is not a problem to drop them off. If you need anything else please let us know.

Quiet location, 1km from the town of Vila do Conde. The beach is a 10 minute walk, lovely beach. The Metro that connects to Porto is a 10-minute walk away. If you do not want to cook at home, there is a restaurant across the street where you can have cheap and typical Portuguese meals.
If you are a Pilgrim of the Way of Santiago of the Coast you will pass in front of my door. You can rest here and the next day to follow your path, for example.

Experience the wonders of north of Portugal during memorable holidays in Vila do Conde. Ideally situated 20 min from Oporto's Airport, the apartment has a T2 configuration to perfectly sleep 4 or 5 or maybe 6 people (Two on a confortable bed and 1 or 2 on the comfortable couch) with privacy and total comfort, a fully equipped kitchen.

The flat was recently redecorated and refurbished in order to mantain the typical Portuguese appeal but also a modern and colorful touch. The condo is near many famous golf courses and within a walking distance to the beach (1 min). It includes, linen and towels, children beach toys and many other amenities you will need for a relaxed holidays. Enjoy long walks by the beach, reading a book in total silence or drink a glass of wine overlooking the sunset, the sun and natural light!

The beach is still unspoiled by mass tourism and it's only used by locals (search online for Praia de Vila do Conde for pictures).

Vila do Conde itself is beautiful and very famous for its history, its beaches, a summer sympa nightlife, but truly the best of it is still some of the blue flag beaches of Portugal throw away. The north of Portugal has good weather almost all year round so the apartment is the best choice for the summer months as well as a golf or romantic getaway off-season. the wonders of northern Portugal in this holiday apartment situated very close to the beach in Vila do Conde. It is also close to two important golf courses but is also perfect for a romantic getaway.

The north of Portugal has good weather, hot in summer and regular almost all year round, being also an excellent choice for the winter months.

Ideally situated 20 minutes from Porto Airport, the apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms that perfectly accommodate 4 or 5 people or up to 6 on the comfortable sofa bed with comfort and privacy (see photos).

It is perfect not only for children and sun lovers, but also for long walks by the sea or for the practice of extreme sports such as bodyboarding, surfing or kitesurfing.

The apartment was recently remobilized in order to maintain the typical local trait, but also contemplates a modern and colorful touch. It includes sheets and towels, children's toys, beach toys and many other amenities necessary for you to enjoy a relaxing family holiday.
The condo is within walking distance (less than 1 minute) of an extensive sandy beach and almost only used by residents (search online for photos of “Vila do Conde Beach”).

The city of Vila do Conde is simply beautiful, calm and known for its history, its beaches, the handicrafts (bobbin lace), its gastronomy and its friendly nightlife in the summer.

Vila do Conde is close to other important cities in the north of Portugal such as Póvoa de Varzim, Guimarães, Braga, Viana do Castelo and the 2nd largest city in the country, the city of Porto that has numerous historical places, with new and old architecture, museums, the FCP football club, Casa da Música, its fantastic and varied gastronomy, and of course, the well-known Port Wine cellars!

The apartment is in the center of Vila do Conde and about 20 minutes by car or 40 minutes by metro from the city of Porto.

Vila do Conde has had since June 2014, with public bike rental stations about 100 meters away. (BiConde)
