Reachable in just 10 minutes by car from Chiavenna centre, the building is a full immersion in nature and calm.

If for you it is worth driving 5 kilometers by car into a winding road to get to a paradise place, without traffic and noise surrounded by nature with a fantastic view over Chiavenna and Val Bregaglia, you are in the right place.
And if you can walk 300 meters from the parking lot (free) in a fantastic stone village, you are booking the right place. Pianazzola is a hamlet of 50 people, with stone houses and paths.
Our building, built between 1906 and 1916 and completely restored in 2016/18, was the old school of Pianazzola.
The rooms are therefore all decorated with school subjects: biology, mathematics, philosophy, geography, enelogy, music, astronomy and letters.
The B&B has 5 double rooms and three apartments of 40 square meters. All rooms have private bathroom with shower; television, wifi internet included.
Around the structure we also find a land of 240 square meters to relax and sunbathe.
Downstairs our house we also have a restaurant, Restaurant La Terrazza, which is managed by Max.

Vecchiascuola is intentionally devoid of the gymnastics room: here sport is an activity to be performed in open air! Our surroundings offer many possibilities for the more sporty: walks and trekking in the nearby Via Spluga and in various paths through the woods (there is also the vertical KM race that passes nearby), canyoning in Val Bodengo, water sports at the lake of Como, skiing in Madesimo and St. Moritz. There are also climbing trails nearby and a via ferrata at a distance of 300 meters. For a stay in the nature, relax and sport!

Around the house there are cats, dogs, dwarf goats, rabbits, the ideal place for children seeking contact with nature.

We are glad to offer four beds in two cozy rooms, a charming lounge with a fireplace and a covered terrace for breakfast during summer.
Our guests can go hiking in the surrounding area on foot or by bicycle in different paths.
In a short time they can reach by car or bus the wonderful Engadine, which is not far from Chiavenna.
The B & B is located in the historic center with typical restaurants and shops in the surrounding area, and it can be reached on foot in just a few minutes of walk from the railway station.
The B&B is not shared with other guest.
If the guest books only one room,the oter room will be closed.
Our apartment is on the third floor with a wonderful view on the surrounding mountains.

We have 3 beautiful little Studios of 40 m2 with 1 double bed, 1 sofa bed, a kitchen corner and a bathroom with shower. Our position is in Pianazzola, panoramic old little fraction of Chiavenna, at 5km from center town and at 630 m asl, with narrow stone paths, totally pedestrian (you need walking on foot 300m from the public parking to us) and surrounded by the mountains, a full immersion in the nature and in the past. This house was the School of the village until 1981

The space
Panoramic and bright Studio, newly furnished in scolastic style, as the building was the School of the village until 1981 and then was totally renovated in 2016/2018.
Our building hosts 3 Studios and 5 double rooms, with a common reception at the entrance of the building

Little reception at the entrance of the building at ground floor and then stairs to get access to the Studios at superior floors.
300m walk from the parking through the pedestrian stony old village of Pianazzola (this fraction is 5km by car uphill from Chiavenna center).

During your stay
we do not live there, but we are usually there in the afternoon for checkin.

Other things to note
No shops in Pianazzola, the only place to eat is a little restaurant (Osteria Micheroli) downstairs our same building, with beautiful view on mountains & valley. Booking is recommended

B&B Palazzo Salis is located in a historic 18th century residence in the very center of the pretty town of Chiavenna, close to Alps bordering Switzerland and not far from the romantic lake of Como. The large rooms with private bathroom are all decorated in stucco and frescoes with large windows overlooking the garden available to guests.

The space
The double bedrooms are very cool without the need for air conditioning.
The large rooms (approx. 30 square meters) allow the addition of 1 or 2 single beds for the other members of the family with the extra charge of € 50/ bed (including breakfast).

Guests have access to the garden where they can relax in the sun or in the shade of the ancient trees. It is possible to have lunch in the garden organizing themselves with take away in the many restaurants in the town.
Breakfast on request is served in a room available to guests near the private room. Minifridge, coffee/ cappuccio machine available in the room for breakfast.
