We have left behind things in other hotels and "no one saw anything", so we really appreciated that. They have sherry & port for sampling/tasting all evening, and have a nice tea time around 4 pm, with coffee, tea, and cookies. We really enjoyed our 2 nights, and will be back again. Walking distance to shopping (washington mall?), a number of restaurants, and we walked down to the beach/boardwalk, probably about 10 minutes away as well. Saturday afternoon we ended up walking into Carney's, across from the water, and stayed for hours due to happy hour specials & had a great time, for less :-) Live music, $5 crushes, mistakes may have been made. - "Carisbrooke Inn is a beautiful, quaint, historic house transformed into a lovely B&B. We stayed here two nights in late June 2017. What a wonderful area of Ventnor City... literally just a stone's throw from Atlantic City. We got stuck in traffic near Baltimore, so we arrived later than the usual check-in time. When we called to let them know they said "No problem!", and gave us instructions on how to obtain the key and gain entrance into the property. What a relief! Our room was very clean, although a little on the small side. My husband would like to have had a bigger bathroom and shower, but I was happy that we had a private bathroom. No matter...we spent most of our stay on the boardwalk and at the beach, which was about 1/2 block away! Great location with restaurants and shopping within a couple of blocks. We found the AAAA Bike Shop just 2 blocks away, and rented brand new bicycles overnight to ride around town. There's a back yard area at Carisbrooke where there is plenty of room to park the bikes and lock them up. Then there was the breakfast. Awesome! The Carisbrooke pancakes were light and fluffy... probably the best pancakes I've ever had! My husband went for the made-to-order omelet both days, which he loved. We also enjoyed the late afternoon snacks of cheese and crackers, wine, fresh fruit, and cookies. The refrigerator was stocked with ice cold bottles of water, as well. The staff was friendly and courteous, and the owner was friendly and helpful. Breakfast servers were wonderful. Overall, we loved The Carisbrooke Inn and would definitely stay there again. We absolutely recommend this place to anyone coming to the AC area. Thanks to all!"

We took advantage of the close proximity of all the shops Smithville had to offer by walking for hours and then enjoyed dinner at Fred and Ethels later that night. People that book rooms here that don’t like rustic and historical buildings shouldn’t get so upset, because pictures and descriptions are very clear on what the inn is. My partner and I would rather stay in a place like this, over those high rise hotels with no personality. The room was quite small, but the bed was comfortable and I felt at home the entire time I was there. The room we were in (Babcock) had slanted ceilings, so tall people watch out lol. Very vintage decor which we love. The bathroom stall is a bit cramped, especially for people that are of a bigger frame. There was complimentary waters, cereal, coffee, tea, muffins etc, available at all times. I felt safe in the neighborhood. There is a riverside restaurant at the bottom of the hill that had live music the day we got there. I was bummed we missed it, I really wanted to try the food and the atmosphere was inviting. The owner and innkeeper was informative and nice. We would stay here again."

The space
Private decks with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. A 50 minute ferry ride to New York City - allows the opportunity to all NYC has to offer - while costs can remain reasonable. 8 miles of ocean beaches, (summer beach passes included), Twin Lights and Sandy Hook Lighthouses, Hiking and Biking Trails in Hartshorne Woods, and Antiquing in the area are highlights. Great area restaurants featuring fresh seafood, international cuisine, or casual dining all on the waterfront.

Guest access
Guests have a private room with an attached private bath. They share the living room, the breakfast room, the main deck with a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean. There is a large yard for picnics and for pets. There is private offsite parking in front of the B&B. There are deer which frequent the area.

During your stay
We are available onsite to help with questions and to provide information on places to go. Local menus are kept for your use. We have full cable TV and WIFI and can help with them, if needed. We're here to make sure you stay is comfortable and enjoyable.

Other things to note
The Seastreak Ferry service is available from Highlands to New York City. There is a published daily and weekend schedule. It stops in the midtown area - 35th street on the east side and in downtown at the Wall Street area. There is Hartshorne Woods which is 700+ acres with trails for biking and Hiking and is great for dog walking. Sandy Hook has 4 miles of sandy beaches with bathroom facilities and food trucks. The Sandy Hook Light House is near the end of the peninsula. The Twin Lights of Navesink Light House is on the hill overlooking Sandy Hook and the ocean.

Welcome to The Getsinger's Guest House.
Simple accommodations in a 102 year old Guest House, built by my grandparents. You will have a private room on the third floor so steps are included in your stay!
There are shared baths-1 full bath and 2 half baths with an additional outside shower
The house has a relaxing front porch to people watch from above. Parking included for 1 car, a 2nd can pay a guest rate of $20/day.
Steps to the beach and boardwalk make everything close by! Must be 21 or older!

The space
A guest house built by my grandparents in 1922, there are 6 bedrooms on the third floor with shared baths, a community fridge and microwave. An outside shower is in the side yard.
There are two apartments on the first floor that are weekly rentals and the family lives on the second floor.
There are two front porches, a smaller side porch and back porch for relaxing.
We are third generation Inn Keepers here at our guest house. We hope you enjoy your stay!

Guest access
You are welcome to enjoy any of the porches and use the common room with a fridge, microwave, and a supply of board games.

Other things to note
Our house is central to Wildwood and all that it offers! Many bars and restaurants are within walking distance. There is a trolley that moves around the town, as well.

The Dormer House was built in 1899 is close to the beaches, shopping and restaurants on the Washington Street Mall, spas, bike rentals, wineries and more! Rates include on-site parking, breakfast, afternoon treats and daily housekeeping. We also provide beach chairs and beach towels for our guests. The Dormer House is good for couples and solo adventurers. Sorry, no pets or children under 10 years old.

The space
The Shannon Room sleeps 2 guests in a queen bed. The room has an ensuite bath, TV and mini fridge.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the common areas of the house including the parlor, enclosed sun porch and open front porch.

During your stay
Our innkeeper is on duty from 7am to 5pm daily. A staff member is available by phone outside of these hours if you need assistance.

Other things to note
The Diana Room is accessed via a separate entrance in the rear of the building and requires climbing a steep, narrow staircase.
