- "Comfortable and clean. Close to the beach. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and the bed was very comfortable. There was a small miscommunication between the innkeeper and us. We did not received the room lock combo from the innkeeper on the day of check-in. We tried calling the number posted on the inn, but the phone just rang and rang and no one picked up. I also called hotels.com to see if they had contact info for the innkeeper, but scheduled a call back because the wait time was 45min. I eventually realized the inn next store was owned by the same company and it had an on-site innkeeper so I knocked and told them I had not received the code for the cottage door and check-in was almost an hour before we arrived. He was able to get in touch with the innkeeper for our building. Andrew was very prompt at getting us the information we needed so we could get our vacation started. Later in the week the battery for the keypad stopped working and we got locked out of our room. Andrew was easy to get ahold of and was very prompt about getting it fixed. He also offered to store our groceries in another inns fridge while they got the door battery fixed, as we had just been to the store."

There is also a renter contributed wet bar available to compliment your cooking. Outside we have an outdoor gas grill and gardens for you to help yourself to with a variety of two dozen different kinds of seasonal fresh herbs, fruit and vegetables. We have several bikes for your use, two beach cruisers, one vintage rat bike cruiser and a Schwinn tandem. For the beach there are beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, beach bags and beach towels.

The bottom floor has an open room design connecting the sun room, dining room, living room, bar and newly remodeled kitchen. Reclaimed barn wood is used on most of the walls with 12 foot high ceiling in the living and dining rooms. . The master bedroom and bathroom are also downstairs at the back of the house away from the street. By the back door are the laundry room and pantry.
The Master bedroom has a queen sized bed, mid-century dressers, closet, sliding glass door to a private porch, ceiling fan and a ceiling dropdown flat screen T.V. The newly remodeled downstairs bathroom has a real beach feel with stone and tile walls, glass shower and aromatic steam room.
Upstairs there is the second bedroom with full size bed, vintage dressers and closet in addition to the loft with office, sofa bed, more closets, T.V. area and sliding door to private balcony with outside steps down to the deck below. Between the loft and bedroom is a large full bathroom.
The decks and gardens are relaxing and large enough for a variety of "feels". There is music, lighting, several chairs and benches, umbrella table and a long reclaimed 19th century butchers block table.
We have off-street parking on the driveway with a converted carriage house for storage of fishing and surf gear.

A classic cedar shingle cottage in the heart of Cape May. A unique accommodation that exudes true small beach town feel, from exterior aesthetics, interior beach decor, and of course, the ideal location - one block to the beach.

This cute cottage is cozy and has two stories with 660 sq ft of living space. Simple open living area on the first level - kitchen, dining and living room. There is a stackable washer and dryer inside the cottage. The master king bedroom is on the second level, as well as the spacious bathroom with tub/shower combination. The bathroom has separate entry from the bedroom.

Enjoy spending time in your two private outdoor spaces, one as you enter the cottage and the other area is on the second floor accessed through the bedroom. After a day at the beach, you can rinse in your private outdoor shower. Leave your car on a designated parking spot and walk all over town.

The property is on the East side of Cape May between Trenton Ave. and Pittsburgh Ave. This puts you about a mile from the Washington Mall, and six blocks from the nearest beach, so this is something to consider if you don't like to walk. Poverty beach, the Nature Center, and the USCG facility are all about 1/2 a mile away. The neighborhood is quiet and is a great place to relax after a busy day. I've stayed at properties closer to the town center and found that sometimes they can be noisy depending on nighttime activities. The house is on the front of a one floor quad unit and includes an outdoor shower, patio, and a reserved off street spot for one vehicle. Inside there is a enclosed porch, living room, full kitchen, 2 beds, and a bathroom. It was very comfortable for My wife, son, mother-in-law and I to share the space. The owners were thoughtful and included lots of little things to make the stay more enjoyable. There are some toys and books for young children and beach chairs. We took full advantage of the dishwasher, stove, and washer/dryer. The communication from the owners was excellent, responsive, and check-in was efficient. I felt like the stay was a great value and we were sad to leave!"

Fantastic east side location! If you love Asbury Park, then you'll love spending summers at The Sea Breeze Cottage. PARK YOUR CAR AND WALK TO EVERYTHING! It is perfectly located between beach, boardwalk and the happening downtown.
Downstairs is an open floor plan with newer appliances and comfortable, beachy furnishings.
Outside the front door is a wrap around porch that always seems to have a sea breeze no matter how warm it is. It's perfect for having an evening cocktail with friends and people watching as folks stroll to and from the boardwalk and Cookman Avenue. The backyard has a deck with a table, chairs, umbrella, gas grill for bar-b-ques and even a peek-a-boo view of the ocean. My home sleeps 6 but when temps drops in the fall and winter the backroom which has a pull out couch can not ge heated... there isnt a heating duct in that room... it still lists as sleeping 6 because i do have 2 couches in the rest of my home although they dont pull out... they are very comfy to sleep.

The property is located in a thriving and diverse residential neighborhood. We do not advertise as being walking distance to the beach. 1.5 miles from Seven Presidents Beach: 4 min drive, 35 min walk, 8 min bike ride.

We cannot guarantee a silent retreat - though most guests comment the cottage is quiet and peaceful. Street/vehicle/train/other guest noise may be experienced. Courtesy earplugs are provided.

An in-room TV is not provided. We provide high speed internet for streaming on your own devices. If you prefer accommodations with a TV, please see our listing for Deluxe Queen Suite.

Are you day dreaming of warm summer nights and beautiful sunsets?

Enjoy a get-away in this beautifully restored coastal bay house nestled in a friendly neighborhood just 2 blocks from the bay and amazing sunsets. Bring your pup (sorry, no cats allowed) and enjoy a much-needed break.

The space
New in 2025! Linens are now provided (although you will still need to bring your own beach towels).

This classic coastal cottage is tastefully decorated to really bring the Cape May Bay ambiance to your family vacation.

Starting with the Family room. This large size room with a vaulted ceiling has a couple of super comfortable chairs and a "fall-asleep-in-the-middle-of-the-day" couch that you will want to take home with you (it also folds out into a full-size bed if you need additional sleeping arrangements). There's a 60-inch flat screen TV mounted on the far wall (with Roku and wifi) and the large coffee table that would be a perfect place to play a round of cards should it happen to rain.

Special attention has been spent on the kitchen and dining room to showcase all the modern touches you expect to find in a vacation home. This fully equipped kitchen includes plates, bowls, silverware, utensils and all the rest of the basics. There are pots, pans, a Toaster, microwave, tea kettle, blender as well as knife block. The stainless-steel gas stove, refrigerator and dishwasher should make you feel right at home and comfortable to cook any size meal from reheating takeout from one of the wonderful local eateries to constructing a complete family dinner.

And of course, there's even a quaint coffee bar where you can get your caffeine fix, complete with coffee and drip style coffee maker. What early morning golf or fishing trip begins without a fresh pot?

The dining room is really special. Enjoy the early morning sun rise drinking your coffee with the sun streaming in through the many windows and skylight with vaulted ceilings. There's a large dining room with enough space to sit 6 (additional seating is right outside the back door on the outdoor deck which also has a metal table with umbrella).

After a long day on the beach, come back to your vacation home and wash away the grime in our brand-new outdoor shower. If your pup has spent a bit too much time rolling around on the sand bar, you can treat her to a nice bath using our Dog Washing station. Complete with hot/cold running water and steps to make it easier to get your friend into the tub. Please use the dog towels located in the main bathroom closet!

Take the chill off the summer night using our gas fire pit and relax in classic Adirondack chairs in the back yard.

For sleeping arrangements, there are 3 bedrooms and the couch in the family room folds out into a full-sized bed. The large master bedroom, right off the family room, contains a queen size bed, a closet you're welcome to store your gear in and a full bathroom. Enjoy the newly renovated bathroom with a custom tiled shower enclosure and luxurious rain head shower head.

The 2nd bedroom, also off the family room/kitchen also has a queen bed and a large closet that is ready for your use.

For the kids, there is a bedroom off of the dining room that has a classic bunk bed (twin over full). There's enough distance from the other bedrooms to let the kids enjoy their sleepover adventure without disturbing the rest of the family!

The shared bathroom off of the kitchen/dining room contains a full-size bathtub that is perfect for washing up after a long day of exploring all the sites of Cape May.

There's also a laundry room which you may use free of charge (remember to bring the detergent of your choice).

Linens are provided for 2 queen, 1 full and 1 twin, and 1 full fold out couch as well as bath towels. You will need to bring your own beach towels in season.

We supply starter dish and dishwasher soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.

NEW (as of 6/7/2025): There is now a single external security camera mounted above the garage doors pointed down the driveway.

Guests will have access to the whole house and driveway (with parking for up to 3 cars.). Additional street parking is also available.

Our cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood just before the bridge to Long Beach Island. Take the 5 minute drive to the beautiful beaches on the Island or relax in the backyard by the lagoon. Inside we have an open concept living space with kitchen, living and dining. There are three bedrooms. The primary bedroom has a queen bed and attached bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the den has a full bed. **No large or noisy parties. Courtesy to our neighbors is extremely important and a main priority.**
