- "We had a great time at this back yard cottage. The location was perfect--walking distance to both the ocean and the bay-side dog beach at Taylor Ave, along with all the great dining options Beach Haven has to offer. There's no inside dining table or counter chairs, but luckily we had good weather for eating at the outdoor patio table when not dining out. The fenced in yard was very peaceful and a nice place to hang out between activities. The bed was a little on the soft side for my body's preference, but otherwise the main bedroom was great. Lots of closet and dresser space. The second bedroom was huge. The couch in the main space was spacious with a large TV for unwinding after a long day of activities, and the kitchen was equipped for what we needed. Overall, we'd stay again."

Second floor stairway door is closed off at the top, and the 2nd floor is not rented and usually is unoccupied. Owners are there occasionally, and use the outside stairway only.

A lovely 'Little House' nestled in a shaded backyard with off-street parking. Close to everything Beach Haven has to offer! On the ocean side and just blocks to Bay Village, Fantasy Island, and other shops, restaurants, and parks. You can park your car in the driveway when you get here and not use it again until you leave. The owners live onsite if you need special amenities or have any questions.

We are currently accepting weekly rentals with arrival and departure times on Saturday.

The two bedroom, one bath house includes a downstairs bedroom with a double bed and an upstairs room with 4 twin beds. No linens included (bring your own sheets and towels). Kitchenware is provided including dishes, pots and pans, and silverware. You only need to supply paper goods and soaps, etc.

Step back in time when a beach house meant simple living. This sweet little cottage is located just a few steps from the beach in Beach Haven, just blocks away from Bay Village and Fantasy Island. Often called the Surf Shack because of the ideal location to a surfing beach. The house has four small bedrooms and can sleep 7 people. It is reminiscent to a time when people showed up at the beach with just a swimsuit and a coverup, hence there are no closets, but all the rooms have plenty of hooks to hang your finest beach attire. While there is central air conditioning, all rooms in the house have ceiling fans and plenty of windows to open and feel the ocean breeze.
The back porch provides a lovely shaded outdoor sitting and dinning area while the upstairs deck is perfect for an evening cocktail and a glimpse of the ocean.

This tiny historic cottage - formerly a houseboat! - has been in our family for four generations. It's full of quirks and charm, but not at the expense of basic comforts like A/C and laundry. Everything you'll need to enjoy your stay is a short walk away, whether it's the beach, fine dining, fresh seafood, ice cream or a stiff drink.

Rinse off in the outdoor shower after your day at the beach, and enjoy a drink on the porch swing while you watch the sun set over the bay.

The space
If you've ever watched a tiny house design show on TV and thought, "I'd love to try that!" then this is your chance. While the Showboat is not technically a tiny house, the first floor was once a houseboat, and you'll feel that when you walk inside. The space is compact and cozy but also, despite its size, feels open and airy. The nautical-themed art on the walls has been in the family for nearly a century.

Step through the master bedroom into a screened-in porch overlooking the bay, where you can enjoy your morning coffee. We like to leave the door to the porch open at night to enjoy the cool bay breeze, but you can also run the A/C if that's more your style.

Up the narrow staircase is the second floor, an open room lined with windows. In the benches by the card table you'll find board games and craft supplies for kids. On rainy days, stretch out on one of the daybeds with a book, or watch a movie (there's an old-school DVD player and a good selection of family-friendly movies, or you can use Netflix, Amazon or Hulu on the smart TV).

The second floor porch is perfect for enjoying lunch and dinner overlooking the bay. Sip a drink on the porch swing while you watch the sunset.

The Showboat, as we call her, is small but with a big heart. Although there is technically only one official bedroom, the house can comfortably sleep eight people, between the bunk beds, the queen bed in the master bedroom, the full-sized Murphy bed (which doubles as a desk!) and the two twin daybeds upstairs.

One thing that newcomers to LBI should know is that most rentals on the island do not provide linens. This is because the turnover times between guests are so fast that cleaning services are unable to do laundry. The space
One of the old original fisherman’s cottages, it has been updated over the years and thankfully survived Super Storm Sandy. This home has been in the same family since 1967 and only recently rented out. It is a completely relaxed home which has brought years of fun and happy memories for many. We know it will for you as well.

Guest access
You have run of the house and yard. Large outside shower changing room at the back of the house. There is a loft upstairs as well as a storage closet which are locked. Thanks for respecting that.
Use what is in the house, leave us a note if something breaks, is used up, or if you have thoughts for us to make your next stay better.

Other things to note
Amber Street is a residential block with year-round neighbors. Beach Haven has a 10 pm noise ordinance curfew. That doesn't mean you can't play music or have fun it just means that you need to keep it to a dull roar.
There is central air conditioning but please turn it off if you will be out all day and use it only if you must. Open the windows and the sliding door. You may find you do not need it the a/c all!

Goldie Point is a mid-century, cedar shingled bohemian beach cottage. A great gathering place for friends and family. This unique home is a 10 minute walk through the gorgeous board-walked dunes filled with pine trees to the clean, serene beach. You’ll find lifeguards on duty from May-September. This beach location is truly a surfers delight. Our home is also walking or biking distance to bars and restaurants, coffee shops and the like.

The space
Welcome to Goldie Point!

This is a place for dreamers and adventures to reset, find inspiration and create. Designed with a “slow” and “calm” pace in mind, our hope is that you enjoy every part of your stay. Whether it be waking up to the morning light with a fresh cup of drip coffee, soaking up some rays on the beach, or settling into the evening with a record playing on the turntable and a glass of wine in hand.

This beach house was built in 1958 with a deep history and budding future. Golden hour feels like every hour here with the sun shining softly into the home from sunrise to sunset. This house is full of luxury, vintage, colorful inspiration and is surrounded by endless ocean air.

Our home has four bedrooms, two king-size, and five queen-size Tuft and Needle mattresses. Luxury linens from Anthropologie complete each bed. There are two full bathrooms, one on each level, as well as an outdoor shower. We offer a fully outfitted kitchen with GE Café appliances, a large family room stocked with games, a projector, and a record player, perfect to put on as the sun sets.

Outside, you’ll find a second-story deck for outdoor eating, lounging, and games. Below you’ll find a fenced in backyard with fire pit as well as more space to relax and lounge.

Guest access
While you are staying at Goldie Point, the house will keep you cozy and comfortable. Feel free to relax on the back deck while listening to your favorite songs through the blue tooth outdoor speakers or turn on the lights strung across the backyard and make your way into the yard and settle into the fluffy beach chairs.

Other things to note
Our driveway fits two cars comfortably for easy and fast access to the house. Unloading is a breeze, but if you want to slow it down even more there is a fun wagon you can use to move your things. The wagon can also be taken to the beach. Just load up your stuff and you’re on your way. If the sand becomes too much - leave the wagon off to the side and grab what you need. You can always come back to it for more goodies.

Goldie Point is an old house with old plumbing and quirky features. PLEASE do not flush anything other than toilet paper.

The house has been updated, but the majority of the house has lamp lighting. We liked that aged aspect, so we've kept it that way. You will ll find light switches that may not seem as though they are turning anything on or off, but thats not the case. They activate the power outlets in the rooms.

Our drinking water is clear, clean and refreshing, so no need to worry about a filter or bottled water.

There is easy access to sea-doo and boat rentals for exploring the Barnegat Bay and out into the ocean. Surf boards, body boards, kayaks and paddle boards can also be rented nearby.

Bikes are located in the yellow shack ‘out back’ and can be used for a pedal around the town if desired. Please show care and softness to them as a few of them are nearly as vintage as the house. Bikes can also be rented a few blocks away if more are needed.
