Nestled among the trees, steps away from the lake, this classic Split Rock cottage is your getaway in the middle of it all. Built in 1964, the knotty pine interior harkens back to a simpler time. The natural stone fireplace ignites with the touch of a button. A galley kitchen has all of the necessary tools to make a delicious home-cooked meal. The dining area seats six, and the wood deck and screened-in porch are great in warmer weather. Two bedrooms and one full bath complete the package.

Only downside was that, while the lake was close, the public access area was a bit farther than we expected (a 10 minute walk on a busy road without sidewalks). But close access to kayak/canoe/pedal boat rentals, tons of hiking trails, great indoor & outdoor spaces on the property, and everything we needed to cook our own meals and relax. The s'mores supplies from the host were a thoughtful, sweet bonus!"

Other things to note
Lake Harmony and the Pocono Mountains are a four-season destination. Aside from all the great restaurants and shopping there are many activities all year round.

Winter activities include skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, ice fishing, and snow tubing. Local restaurants have music and karaoke.

Spring activities include skiing, snowboarding, golf, hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. Be on the lookout for wine festivals and craft shows.

Summer activities include wakeboarding, water skiing, wake surfing, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, tubing, and lake cruises. Several lakefront dining opportunities with bands and dancing.

Fall is fabulous at Lake Harmony and is a destination for fall foliage viewing. We have been blessed with Indian summers the last few years so all our summer activities have extended through the end of October. In addition, it’s a great time for hiking, biking, golf, and many fun local shops, antiquing, and craft shows.

Newly renovated vacation home across the street from Lake Harmony offering convenient access to the lake and as well as a lake view from the front deck. Home has been renovated with many unique and custom features!

Living area is a great place to entertain, offering ample space for all the guests.
Enjoy a football game with the whole crew and the 65" TV with custom sound, wet bar, beer fridge and large comfy sofa! Guests will love the photographs from the 60's, 70's & 80's of some of the most famous Rock 'n Roll icons of the last few decades! Connecting to the living area is another living space with 4 swinging chairs and 2 pull out sofas. Enjoy the view while you relax in those chairs!

Dining area and kitchen offers a sunny place to eat while enjoying the outdoor views through the many windows and sliding doors. The area flows into the living room expanding the space for entertaining. The kitchen includes a new full size refrigerator with ice maker, new dishwasher, stainless steel gas stove with air fryer, coffee station with a Keurig & drip coffee maker and enough coffee to get you started!

Next is the private backyard! Enjoy the quietness of this enclosed space while you sit by the fire pit! There will be enough firewood provided for a few fires!Plenty of Adirondack chairs for all and a covered grill & outdoor kitchen so you can cook outside no matter the weather!

Upstairs you will find 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. There is an additional 3rd full bath downstairs. Both upstairs bathrooms offer beautiful custom tile work & radient floor heating. There is a walk-in shower in one and a combo bath/shower in another. The four bedrooms have lots of custom storage areas that offer unique hooks and shelving. More Rock'n Roll photos are on display throughout the 2nd floor. Individual room thermostats will keep you warm in winter while cental air will keep you cool all summer. There are charging stations in all bedrooms as well as a desk and chair in bedroom # 3 if you need to catch up on some work. Mattress & pillow protectors are on all beds.

Guests have access to the whole house. The barn in the back is not accessable to guests, but the parking behind it is.
Other things to note
Lake Harmony allows gas motor boats so some may find it too busy or noisy.
Ample hooks and shelves are availble for storage of clothes. There are no closets available due to age of home. Washer/dryer are located in the basement so use of steps will be necessary.

The dining area seats six, and the wood deck and screened-in porch are great in warmer weather. Two bedrooms and two full baths complete the package.

Cheery black cottage filled with light, happiness, and design...steps from Lake Harmony. Come relax & breathe the crisp air of the PA forest, make art, read, cook, unwind, get inspired...stay for a long weekend or for a while. Our cottage makes you not want to leave :)

The space
Our house is cheery, cozy and bright and perfect for working at home, drawing, chilling out or baking and cooking on a snowy day. We are 5 mins drive to Big Boulder and 15 mins drive to Jack Frost Ski areas, and 10 mins drive to great hiking trails at Hickory Run State park.

Built in 1928, we fully renovated the cottage starting in 2015 including adding windows and moving doors, removing ceilings, demo-ing roofs/old chimneys and old stone walls! We had planned on renting on Airbnb back in 2015, but the remodel evolved into a creative project for us...it was extremely challenging but surely a labor of love!

The house has 2 x bedrooms:
~one with 1 x Ikea Queen bed with mattress protector and fluffy mattress pad
~one with 1 x Ikea Full bed with mattress protector and fluffy mattress pad
~All of our bedding is down/feather-free

The kitchen is spacious for prepping meals or just warming up a delicious take out pizza.
~There is NO microwave.
~There is a small fridge in the kitchen (which actually holds a lot) and a full sized fridge in the basement.

There is everything you need to cook a nice meal. There are cabinets in the island with some spices/oils and other healthy dry goods that we supply for our guests. Nice modern white dishes and lots of double-wall glass mugs/cups, stemless wine and champagne glasses.

Our bathroom has a small stand up corner shower with top flush toilet and shelving behind the door with towels/TP/Hair Dryer/iron/toothbrush/toothpaste/lotions

The sun room at the front of the house faces the lake and includes our new 40" Smart TV with Amazon prime/Netflix/Apple TV+ for movie watching under the "guest" account (and whatever other apps you want to log in to), and lots of books on some of our favorite artists and topics

~We provide Nespresso Capsules, Teas and snacks

~The house does NOT have air-conditioning, but we provide several fans in case you need them

In order to make your arrival easier, there is a code box on back entrance door to let yourself in

PARKING:
The entrance is on our back road. The driveway is gray gravel and goes uphill. You will have to walk through the yard to the house but there is a gravel path.

We like to park off to the side along the wood pile on the right when you pull in. Parking there obscures the car so you cannot see it when you look out the kitchen windows...all you see is beautiful forest! :)

LONG TERM STAYS (longer than one week):
~Since we offer a large long stay discount, there are no regular cleaning services provided during your stay (no fresh towels/linens/interior cleaning) or refreshment replenishment

If you would like someone to clean the space throughout your stay this can be arranged for a $75/fee per cleaning. Let us know before you arrive and we will send you an invoice for payment. If you opt to decline the additional cleaning services, we hope that you will keep up on tidying up and basic cleaning/laundry.

The kitchen is fully stocked with a full stove/oven, full refrigerator, dish washer, pots, pans, utensils, plates, cups, bowls, drip coffee machine, toaster, blender… the cottage also includes a washer and a dryer. Outdoors, there is a 14ft x 8ft swim-spa/hot tub, a spacious deck, a fire pit, and a hammock. Linens, towels, paper towels, toilet paper, and miniature toiletries are provided for your convenience. The house is across the street from lake Harmony and Split Rock Resort, less than 5 miles from Jackfrost and Big Boulder ski resorts, and 22 miles from Camelback ski resort. The cottage is very close to the action (restaurants, lake activities, ski activities), yet tucked away in a relaxing wooded backyard perfect for bird/deer watching and glamping.

We chose this cottage for its 1940s charm, the lot is private, yet not too remote, and the home itself is cozy but accommodating - just the right size!  We are committed to keeping our pricing affordable, and the cottage outshines other rentals at the same price point.  Every recommendation from our guests is addressed and we are always looking for ways to continue to improve the experience for both our guests and ourselves.

Welcome to our Four Seasons Lodge w Paddle Board located just one block from Lake Harmony. Skiing and snow tubbing minutes away in the winter and a view of the lake makes the summer with swimming , fishing and boating just steps away. Spend the evening in front of the fireplace or around the fire pit in the back yard. The hot tub is attached to the deck overlooking the tree lined back yard. As you walk in you immediately feel the vaulted ceilings of the loft. Skylights illuminate the space. The fireplace with over-thehearth mounted 58 in Smart TV welcomes you. In the open concept, you have the kitchen, living room, and dining room. The deer will greet you from the large dining room window and yes you can feed them by hand. Still on the main level you find the queen bedroom and kids bunk room. These 2 rooms have knotty pine and beam ceilings that give a true cabin feel. You can see the boaters go by from the living room and front porch. As you go upstairs you find the loft space with its king bed with skylight and a great overview of the whole space. Perfect for a large family or 2 small families.

- No unregistered guests are allowed on the property unless authorized.
- Fireworks are prohibited. It will attract penalties.
- Please ensure that all towels are returned in good condition. Any towels discovered in the trash will result in an additional charge of $50 per towel.
- Don't move furniture around the house.
- Please make sure all lights and heating/Air Conditioning are turned off when you leave the property each day.
- While Checking-Out we request you to please dump the garbage bags at the dumpster(Laurel Wood) map provided with this check-in- it's just 2 min from the house.

IMPORTANT KINDLY NOTE:

Parking: Maximum 4 vehicles allowed the property.
- Only two cars can be parked in front of the property, and other cars have to be parked in overflow parking 2 mins away, on Laurelwood Dr (sharing a guide image in text msg). Street parking is at your own risk, vehicles might be towed.

- Parking Passes: Important Notice
We will provide you with vehicle parking passes for nearby parking lots, located approximately 2 minutes away. Please ensure you leave the parking passes behind when you check out. Failure to return the passes will result in a fee.
