The private lake is great for swimming, kayaking, boating (no gas motors), and playing on the beach.

Feel at home and the coziest you've ever been in our 1920s cottage! Sitting on a hill at the end of a row old vacation homes, this fully renovated vintage cottage is peaceful and sweet inside. 1 hour 45 min from Brooklyn, this home is surrounded by trees with the Delaware River peeking through. Less than 1 minute from Narrowsburg, NY, enjoy the many shops, restaurants, antique stores, and river views the area has to offer. This is the perfect space for a quiet, peaceful getaway.
The space
This an 1,100 square foot fully remodeled 1920s vacation cottage with an airy loft and gorgeous sitting room with a wall of windows to enjoy. Ceilings in the cottage are slightly lower and bedrooms are on the small side, except for the loft- which characteristic of a "vintage" cottage. The natural light in the sitting room is perfect for any activity and it has plenty of space, too. Perfectly inviting for a board game, puzzle, or a glass of wine and a good book! In the sitting room is also a remote working station desk with room for your computer. It is situated next to the windows so you can enjoy nature while you work. The views of the trees and river (partially hidden by leaves in summer) in the sitting room give a calming vibe to the home. The home has a large backyard outdoor space and fire pit, and in the fall and winter, the converted electric fireplace inside is cozy and inviting inside. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for a full meal with family, friends or other loved ones.
To be sure, this home is not suitable for large groups and for parties. It is also not suitable for those who are not looking for a quiet, rural/country area to enjoy.
**Please note, this home is .6 miles from Narrowsburg, NY but it is set back off the main road on a hill and accessible by a private one-lane road that cannot be modified. The one-lane road was established in the 1920s, is narrow, and was built to serve single-family vacation cottages. This road is not a typical street or driveway so kindly be aware before you book. We can't change this. If you book this home, you are accepting this and judging accordingly. There is some road noise that comes through the trees from the main road; this house is not in the middle of the woods in the middle of "nowhere". Our driveway requires some practical driving skill to turn around in if you bring more than one car.**

Historically, this home and the other 3 homes in the row on the hill were vacation homes so the setting is rural and the access to it as well as parking areas and driveways still reflect that. The entry road is one lane and there are others that use the road occassionally, so please be slow and respectful. You may have to back up to let them out. The driveway can't be modified (1920s, it is what it is) and holds so we highly recommend only one or two cars. Homes are close together but ours is at the end so there is plenty of room and privacy. Our property has more than enough space to play- there is a large backyard with a fire pit, a barbecue grilling area, and a front deck. The front door is key code entry and there are cameras in the front and back for safety!

We have made sure this home can accommodate remote work and digital nomads. There is a dedicated wokstation and the internet is extremely fast.
The home is also well suited to a family. It is also very cozy for two couples, yet can comfortably accommodate a group of 4-5 fishing buddies. There are two bedrooms of the same size, one with a queen bed and one with a full bed. The loft has two twin beds, it's own couch and TV.
The couch downstairs comfortably sits three and we have floor cushions for the kids!
All mattresses are brand new and of the highest quality for your comfort!
