I think the bathtub and showerhead need to be replaced. In addition, the water that comes out of the faucet is very salty, but I guess it just has to do with the area of Guilford? Luckily there is a water cooler provided for drinking water so that is great. Rebecca was very communicative and kind. We also really enjoyed the pool outside. The house is 850 square feet of pure cottage enjoyment. There are two bedrooms with a queen-sized bed in one on the first floor, and a full and twin in the other upstairs. A sixth person could sleep on the sofa. There is one bathroom with a shower and a washer and dryer. There is a full kitchen and a gas grill for cooking. There is one HD Smart television with wifi. Our cottage is a nice mix of high end and rustic finishes, and it is clean and comfortable. It's a cottage, and it feels like a cottage with a bit of style, especially when you are sitting on the porch swing, enjoying a cold beverage, and reflecting on the day. Or sitting around the fire pit with friends and family, while sharing stories and roasting marshmallows. It feels like you are in the middle of the woods. This second floor farmhouse cottage is located on a private, historic family estate, and offers acres of open land with views of the Long Island Sound and the mouth of the Connecticut River. There is access to private beaches on the Long Island Sound where you will often be the only people you can see. There are plenty of things to do in the Old Lyme and surrounding area, with unique shops and art galleries.

Peaceful retreat: This secluded second floor cottage, located on a private lane, rests in a former barnyard with fantastic views of Long Island Sound, the mouth of the Conn. River, Saybrook lighthouses, marshes and coves teeming with birds (bird sanctuary). The space below (first floor) provides a laundry room, storage and carport. It is a short walk from Udder Heaven to a secluded beach on the Long Island Sound and another beach on a protected cove, open fields with walking, hiking and run paths are just the beginning of this quiet private retreat. This is a unique and special place to bird watch, especially osprey with many nest on the estate. If you enjoy photography, this is one of the best locations for unique photos and memories.

A huge deck for entertaining, a covered carport and laundry facility are included. It's name is 'Udder Heaven' because it once housed the dairy, when the farm was active.

The cottage is on the second floor, requiring climbing stairs.

Dogs are welcome, $75 per week cleaning fee per dog is required. We ask smokers to use the deck just outside the living room. Pillows and blankets are supplied at no charge. Sheets and towels are provided for an additional $100 fee (select when booking). If you decide to bring your own linens (sheets) and towels, there are 2 twin beds and one queen bed, plus a convertible couch (double). The kitchen is fully equipped, and the cottage has ceiling fans and is air conditioned (quiet, ductless with compressor outside). Because there is no heat, the cottage is closed during winter. Utilities are part of the rent, and local phone service is provided. The following is also included with rental of Udder Heaven: Samsung flat screen 32' HDTV, DVD/VCR player, internet services. The normal rental period is from 4:00 PM on Saturday to 10:00 AM Saturday, so we can squeeze in a thorough cleaning.

- "Wow! If anything, the pictures don't do this property justice. Views for days, especially from the balcony, the cleanest pool I've ever swam in, and a well furnished and cared for interior. Al, the host, was also extremely accommodating. The location is pretty far off the beaten path, and really gave a sense of peaceful isolation - a true "getting away from it all" feeling. Being able to drive 20 mins to a fantastic beach, and then escape those crowds and head back here was a true treat. Bonus points for being pet friendly - being able to take out dog on vacation with us just made everything a little better!"

Harbor View Landing is located in the historic town of Mystic, CT.
The property is situated on one end of Willow Point, just a half mile outside of the downtown area. Our property consists of 4 waterfront cottages and 2 multi-unit homes. This property opened in June of 2019 and offers many included amenities such as a private dock with kayaks and paddle boards as well as complimentary bikes, fire pits and lawn games, all over looking the beautiful Connecticut coastline.

The Block Island unit boasts of a spacious queen-sized, one bedroom waterfront cottage, with separate living area and custom tiled private bathroom. This cottage comes equipped with retro mini-fridge, microwave, Nepresso coffee maker, HD TV, Amazon smart speaker, free wi-fi as well as a complimentary bottle of wine and water. This charming sun filled cottage is located in the Short Beach community of Branford, CT. It has a mixture of old world charm with new amenities. The perfect place for you to experience all the things New England has to offer. Relax along the sandy shores, take a swim or explore Long Island Sound in kayaks (2) or on bikes (2) which are provided. Excellent for walking, 2 miles of continuous sidewalks along the shore. Located on a quite inlet w/ sandy Bay beach, beautiful sun rises, all less than 500ft from the cottage as well as Yale Corinthian Yacht Club (Yale Sailing). Large open living space, great for family gatherings. Two excellent restaurants within walking distance. 45 minutes to Mohegan Sun Casino or 50 minutes to Foxwoods Casino. Many local breweries within town, 5.5 miles to YNHH & Yale University and approximately 15 miles to Quinnipiac University. So many things to do or just relax at home away from home!!

Selden Cottage is a charming, cozy, comfortable place with views of fields, stone walls and barns. It has a private driveway off a quiet road. There is excellent biking, hiking and walking from the front door. Occasionally a family of eagles can be seen training their young on the ice 100 yards from the front door. Osprey fish all summer long a short walk away. The Goodspeed Opera House, Chester Hadlyme Ferry, Fox Hopyard Golf Course, Gillette Castle and the Hadlyme Country Store are all within a few minutes by car. No one lives in this cottage. It is only available for short term rental.

It sits near the end of a quiet cul-de-sac at the end of a country road, very close to the Connecticut River. Coffee on the front porch is a special treat. My Merlin Bird App from Cornell (free on Apple) recorded the sounds of 12 different species of birds in just a few minutes during our first morning. While highly private, the property is convenient to a wide range of activities in the area. The owners are special people and very attentive. We highly recommend this property."

Nurses, doctors, residents or those doing clinical rotations/fellowships, enjoy being blocks (less than a 3 min. drive) away from the Stamford Hospital! For your daily commute or pure leisure, Stamford Train Station and i95 are conveniently located a short driving distance from the property. You can be in NYC under 45 minutes or enjoy Fairfield County and beyond in scenic CT.

- "My husband and I are relocating to the East Coast and after a week-long drive across the country, we were happy, tired and grateful to arrive at Leti’s lovely apartment for a 3-week stay. It was exactly what we had hoped for —in fact, better than expected. The unit had parking, a fenced yard (with patio table and grassy area), a washer-dryer (with soap provided!) and a wonderful, well-appointed full kitchen and living space. The apartment was extremely clean with new furnishings and thoughtful, pretty decor. The bed was comfortable and the linens fresh and clean. An upstairs loft area with skylight provided the perfect spot for my husband to work-from-home. Location-wise, the neighborhood is busy, but we did not have any problems with noise and it was only a five-minute drive to a cute downtown with great restaurants. It was also super close to freeway entrances which made it easy to get wherever we wanted to go. New York City was about an hour’s drive away and it was only 15 minutes to hiking trails, or in the other direction, shopping, etc. Bottom line, we loved our stay here and were impressed with Leti’s quick and efficient communication and response times. She addressed any and all questions that arose in a helpful, friendly and professional way. We would definitely stay again and would recommend booking with her without hesitation."

This boutique property will fill you with that "away-from-it-all" feeling with its 6+ acres of forested woodlands, manicured perennial gardens, and large open lawn. We're located on a scenic winding country road running north from Old Mystic past farms and fresh water ponds to our location in the forested valley of Lantern Hill. The ponds (Long Pond, Bush Pond, and Lantern Hill Pond) are popular for freshwater fishing, canoeing, and swimming. Lantern Hill is the highest point in the area. From the peak, you can see the Mystic River and Fishers Island Sound. From our property, you can access beautiful woodlands trails including the one to the top of Lantern Hill. By car, turning left out of our property takes you right into Mystic, Connecticut. It is a pleasant, short bicycle ride for cycling enthusiasts.

Guest access

The Cottage and its lovely fenced-in rear courtyard garden area will be yours alone during your stay. It is completely separate from the main house. Due to Covid-safety, at this time the main house is not accessible. If you would like wine glasses or ice during your stay, please let us know. We can also provide you with an electric kettle. If you would like breakfast, it is served from 8AM-10AM and will be delivered to the Cottage. During Spring, Summer, and Fall, we have a hammocks, fire pits, a gas grill, and covered outdoor lounge which are all accessible to our guests. The hiking trails are accessible year-round.

Other things to note

The following apply only to guests bringing pets:

•There is an additional fee of $20 per pet, per night.

•Two pets allowed. Pets must be both well-behaved & non-destructive.

•Well-behaved: Pets must be controlled by their owners at all times and not run after or jump on the hosts or other people encountered at the property or on the hiking trails. Dogs who bark often, especially when left alone in the Cottage, are a disturbance and should not be brought to the property.

•Non-destructive: It is required that pets do not chew, claw, pee-on or in any way damage any of the furniture, flooring, rug, doors, window blinds, walls, linens, towels, etc. If there is a possibility that your pet will cause damage, we strongly suggest you crate it during your stay when you cannot supervise it. We also expect that the garden beds in the Cottage courtyard will not be dug up. If damage to the Cottage occurs during your stay, you will be responsible for the full cost to fix it.

•Pet waste: You are solely responsible for bagging poop your pet(s) make and disposing it in a waste bin. If we left to clean up your dog's poop from the property, you will be charged $50.

The main/master bedroom has a double-sized bed, while the remaining bedroom is furnished with a double-sized bed (s), The cozy living room is furnished with pull out sofa for sleeping of a total of 5 people comfortable. The kitchen is perfect for dining as it is equipped with toaster, coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher ,and small wares. Situated on private Chapman Beach , guests can enjoy an afternoon of swimming or relaxing on private beach within a 2 minute walk, and later watch the sunset from the dining room.

This small cottage is a great place to get away while still being centrally located! 15 minutes to UConn and very close to downtown Coventry.

The space
This is a small cottage near Coventry lake. Unfortunately it doesn’t have direct access, you must go to the public beach for lake access. There are only 4 rooms in the cottage, the kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom. The place will be fully furnished by the time it becomes available.

Adorable 1800 cottage with views of the CT River. Upstairs bedroom with a king. Bathroom downstairs with a small tub / shower and a tiny kitchen. Other room is a living room with a desk/ table but has a queen pull out bed ( needs to be requested ahead of time. Watch the Essex steam train, Becky Thatcher riverboat, or hang out at the river, bring your kayaks or paddleboards as there is a boat ramp right across the street.

The space
This cute cottage was built in 1800. It is across the street from the Connecticut River and provides you with a plethora of fun things to do if you like to paddle! The area is great for just walks or hanging out and relaxing or discovering small New England towns.

You are able to use all of the rooms, but there are a couple of pieces of furniture that are near and dear to my heart, and family and are quite fragile that shouldn't be used- the rest is yours!

If you’re looking for tranquility, this is the place for you! This charming cottage is located on a secluded country road. The cottage sits at the back of a gorgeous park-like property, and is near parks with hiking trails. This antique cottage has many modern renovations, providing convenience and comfort while maintaining the historic charm. This is the perfect getaway!

The space
The entire cottage is available to guests exclusively, as are the patio and yard areas to the west side and back of the cottage.

Note, the kitchen is fully equipped with all you need for cooking and baking. There is a Nespresso Vertuline Coffee and Espresso maker and a milk frother for lattes and cappuccinos. Some pods are provided, however, you may want to consider purchasing additional pods (www.Nespresso.com) or you can also use the Mr. Coffee coffee maker & filters also provided.

Guests have access to the cottage as well as the patio and yard areas to the side and back of the cottage. There are also hiking trails near the cottage.

The cottage sits at the back of a nearly 2 acre property and adjacent to land trust property which includes several reservoirs. There is abundant wildlife to be seen and heard - right from the cottage. Wild turkeys, deer, foxes, rabbits, pheasant - even the occasional (and less welcome) raccoon, skunk and snake - have been spotted. While it’s a very safe place, you should maintain awareness when you are out in the yard and more so on any trails.

A cozy home in a beach community which is in a central location with easy access to many outdoor activities(private beach access) & local restaurants. The location is also 5 minutes from the Branford Train Station, Stony Creek Brewery, Branford's town center. New Haven the home of Yale University, Yale Hospital and other colleges in the New Haven area are a short drive The house is across the street from Farm River. across the street in opposite direction is a short walk to Johnsons beach.

Our bright and cozy home offers 2 bedrooms on the second floor with sleeping for at least 4 people. One of which has a window seat with river views. The first floor has a living room, dining room, eat-in kitchen and laundry facility off the bathroom. The front entrance welcomes you with a comfortable wrap around porch to sit out and take in the life around you with the views of the river and marina.
