Smoking and vaping are only allowed on public sidewalks. In addition to no smoking or vaping, this is a Scent-Free environment. The Jewel of the Cove does not allow candles, incense, air fresheners, scented plug-ins, smoking, vaping, etc. anywhere in the house or on the property - indoors or outdoors - including on the covered porch, on the patio, near the grill, anywhere in the backyard, driveway, or near any doors or windows. Smoking and vaping are only allowed on public sidewalks. If there is any evidence of smoking, incense, candles, air fresheners, scented plug-ins, vaping, etc. on the premises, your security and/or damage deposit will be forfeited and you will incur an additional charge (minimum $500) for cleaning, carpet cleaning, and deodorizing. Breaking this rule may result in guest(s) being made to vacate the premises immediately with possible loss of all payments, fees, deposits, and taxes. If we cannot reach the guest that booked the property, an authorized party may show up to require the entire group to vacate the premises immediately.

This house has been updated in the last six months from top to bottom. It is extremely spacious and set up in a very convenient layout. When you drive up the long private driveway, the first thing you'll notice is that the property is completely fenced in which gives you that private beach feel you've been waiting for. The custom patio on this level has both a sitting area and lounging area that leads to the waterfront hot tub. In addition, there is a full bathroom on this level so you won't have to worry about the kids bringing in all the sand from their day on the beach. After you're done swimming, kayaking, or just relaxing, you'll love hanging out on the first floor in the open kitchen and living room with fantastic views of the water any way you turn. There is a full bathroom on this level as well. The kitchen has top end appliances for any of your cooking needs, however, feel free to reach out for restaurant recommendations as New Haven is just ten minutes away. On the second floor, you'll find five bedrooms and another full bathroom. Three of the bedrooms have sliding doors to yet another deck so you can enjoy the cool breeze at night. Finally, on the third floor, you will find the master suite complete with its own full kitchen, full bathroom, sectional, and work station. This floor has the best views around with another deck. Because of the four bathrooms, this house can easily accommodate multiple families, several couples, or a big bunch of friends. Cosey Beach is a quaint area with a restaurant and public beach just a short walk away. This house is the getaway you didn't know you were looking for.

The whole house has been designed to create happy memories for our family, and now hopefully for yours as well thanks to VRBO. You even get to take fresh herbs and whatever is ripe from our vegetable garden!

The house is just 1/2 block to a quiet private beach, just for the residents and guests on this street--meaning you! You can bring a dog to the private beach, which you cannot do at town and state beaches. Or head to the amenity-filled East Haven Town Beach with its white sand, just a 5-minute stroll away along the shore (or you can drive over and park there, too). The Town Beach is one of the nicest on the shoreline. It has everything: toilets, playground, pavilions, and a splash pad for the kids. There's a little snack bar and restaurant across the street. We have a wagon so you can roll everything you need to either beach or you can park there. You'll find the house has everything you need for fun in the sun except for the sunscreen--chairs, coolers, towels, and even a boogie board.

The house is newly renovated with everything you need, down to the corn on the cob holders. It's tastefully decorated, but also comfortable. Nothing is so precious that you have to worry about it, but everything is nice. There are games and cable tv for relaxing evenings. Internet is fast. There's a wood fireplace for chilly nights, and we provide the wood and fire starters so you can get a fire going quickly.

The house is newly renovated with fresh paint and new floors. Everything is sunny and airy. Nearly every room has a high ceiling and skylight, so we provide eye masks for each guest even though we've installed shades on the skylights. You'll find two large bedrooms upstairs with one bath. One has a queen bed and one has two twin XLs with a kit to combine them into a King if needed. Lower level third bedroom has a queen bed and a sofa that folds into a single bed. Downstairs, there are two couches and a queen air mattress for people to sleep in the living room or family room. There is another bathroom downstairs with a large tub. Downstairs shower going in shortly. Other spring 2023 upgrades include a new vanity with marble top in upstairs bathroom , an outdoor shower, and a new air conditioner in the kitchen.

Kitchen is well stocked and comes with basics like oil, butter, salt, pepper, spices, sugar, tea, coffee for the drip machine, and some pods for the Nespresso and Keurig. And if something is missing, just ask! The owner is dedicated to making sure you have a great stay! We've tried to include everything you could want, from the corn cob holders down to the air fryer and blender set.

You will have the whole house and the private, fenced yard and the garage--except for one closet in the master and the boiler room. The driveway holds several cars and we have summer street passes for others.

The house has basic equipment for small children, including gates for top and bottom of stairs you can install if necessary and a high chair. There is also a pack and play for infants, with a small changing table on top. There is a large washer and dryer as well, free to use.

Please be considerate of neighbors and so no loud late-night parties please on beach or in house.

Please message about pets and early check-in. We do accept well-behaved animals who won't damage the house for only an extra cleaning fee. The house comes with a litter box, pet bowls, and a few pet toys.

We have a speaker that provides music (or you can stream your own music) with fun programmable lighting. There is a fire place and large TV with a state of the art, comfortable, large triple recliner couch with massage and heat features, as well as a TV in each bedroom. The master bedroom has a safe for your valuables. There is a desk and charging station with office supplies for your business needs. There are also two binoculars on the desk for your use. Complimentary WIFI and Netflix are provided or just stream your own personal apps. There is a fully equipped kitchen and dining room with a loaded coffee station equipped with all the extras and brand new appliances, including a washer & dryer. There is a brand new, on demand hot water heater for the extra large shower with both a rain shower and hand held heads. Central Air will keep you cool on those hot summer days and the cozy fireplace will keep you warm on those chilly Autumn and winter nights or turn off the heat mode and just enjoy the ambiance of the adjustable, multicolored flames. My husband and I live in a beautiful home in New Haven, CT. We are about a 15 minute drive to the Yale campus, New Haven fine dining, clubs/nightlife, Yale New Haven Hospital, and Anthony's Ocean View. We are a 2 minute walk to the Pardee Sea Wall, and a 5 minute drive to Lighthouse Point.


We have a cat and a dog that live in the premises. Both are friendly and very hospitable.

This is a renovated in-law suite. Once you enter there is a private living room, then it’s a bedroom with a small closet. Next room is an eat- in kitchen, and the restroom. Please , be advised there is a 2.5” step to enter the bedroom, be aware not to trip on that. And a 1 ft step to go in the shower, please be careful going in and out. In the kitchen counter you can find a keurig coffee machine, sorts of k-cups, sugar, sort of teas, cups for the coffee, and a toaster. Utensils are in the drawer next to the sink, also in the drawer next to the stove. Pots and pan in the lower cabinets. Dining plates and bowls in the top cabinet. The long cabinet next to the refrigerator are cleaning items. In the refrigerator will be two bottles of water, and coffee creamer.

We take hours to tirelessly disinfect every surface, wash all bed linens, remove lint, and remove all stains from this suite, making sure everything suits the highest possible standards.

We have Arlo HD Smart security cameras outside this suite, which will alert us to movement & noise 24/7, for your safety. These cameras also recognize packages that were dropped off, so feel free to trust our address for your deliveries.

Every room in our space is fully furnished, ready for you to stay for a short or long term. The kitchen and dining room areas include cookware, silverware, plates, bowls, large milk cups, glasses, specialty knives for cutting meat and bread, butter knives, and cutting board. We also provide you with basic seasoning stocks. We even include complimentary wine and wine glasses if you indicate that you will be booking for a celebratory occasion. We also include all the appliances you expect in a full kitchen, including: refrigerator, dishwasher, Keurig Coffee maker, toaster, convection oven, microwave oven, and range hood.
We provide cleaning and other hygiene supplies, like toilet paper and towel paper, free of charge, on a biweekly basis. We provide a broom and a Swiffer mop, as well as Clorox Bathroom Disinfectant and other disinfectants, for you to clean yourself, at your convenience.

The bedroom has a large flat screen Samsung Smart TV, which is on a mount that allows you to choose your preferred viewing angle. There is also a desk with a lamp provided, with some rooms having usb cpnnectors on the lamps for charging.

The living room has two couches, and is decorated with hand made paintings that add character and pops of color.

Guests are allowed to access any part of their suite. Guests are also allowed to access the shared laundry facilities, on the day of the week they agreed with us. Guests must use only the driveway space provided to them, which is enough to park one car, comfortably. We have more guest driveway space (enough for 2 or 3 cars), but usage of this must be requested and approved by us.

The host lives on the first floor. The suite is on the second floor, with its own separate street entrance, totally private.

Other than that the guest’s can enjoy the rest of the apartment.

The room is newly renovated, with freshly stained and polished floors, and the reddish-brown wooden decor gives a classic feel. We have created an ideal space for a monthly stay or multiple-months stay, especially for a health care worker. Our #1 priority is to hand you a clean space. Our guests took the time to give many praises for our cleaning practices. We take hours to tirelessly disinfect every surface, wash all bed linens, remove lint, and remove all stains from this suite, making sure everything suits the highest possible standards. Specifically, we always wash before disinfecting. This means that we remove dirt and microbes as much as possible before spraying with Clorox, as recommended by the CDC. We not only disinfect common surfaces, we thoroughly clean underneath every object, inside appliances, cabinets, and vents, and even inside the baseboard heaters - nothing escapes our care. We have pledged to abide by special cleaning policies from Airbnb as well as the CDC guidelines

Our fast 1000mbps Xfinity WiFi places no limits on your video calling, business, streaming, or gaming needs. This WiFi allows you to stay connected to smart devices as well. We have provided a few smart devices throughout you suite to make your stay with us more comfortable.

We have Arlo HD Smart security cameras outside this suite, which will alert us to movement & noise 24/7, for your safety. These cameras also recognize packages that were dropped off, so feel free to trust our address for your deliveries.

Every room in our space is fully furnished, ready for you to stay for a short or long term. The kitchen and dining room areas include cookware, silverware, plates, bowls, large milk cups, glasses, specialty knives for cutting meat and bread, butter knives, and cutting board. We also provide you with basic seasoning stocks. We even include complimentary wine and wine glasses if you indicate that you will be booking for a celebratory occasion. We also include all the appliances you expect in a full kitchen, including: refrigerator, dishwasher, Keurig Coffee maker, toaster, convection oven, microwave oven, and range hood.

We provide cleaning and other hygiene supplies, like toilet paper and towel paper, free of charge, on a biweekly basis. We provide a broom and a Swiffer mop, as well as Clorox Bathroom Disinfectant and other disinfectants, for you to clean yourself, at your convenience.

The bedroom has a large flat screen Samsung Smart TV, which is on a mount that allows you to choose your preferred viewing angle. There is also a desk with a lamp provided.

The living room has two couches, and is decorated with hand made paintings that add character and pops of color.

There is free driveway space for one guest car, but more can be requested at no extra charge. There is ample free street parking right in front of this property.

The front lawn has two adirondack chairs from which you can gaze out at the Long Island Sound, listen to the seagulls squawking and watch the sailboats go by. The back yard has seating for 8, a gas bar-b-que, and a firepit. String lights light up the yard at night. We have onsite parking - which holds 6 cars comfortably.

The house has views of the water, and is only one house back from the beach. Beach access point is right across the street. There is also a public beach and park about two blocks away. Classic 'fish and chips' restaurant also just two blocks away. There is also a sunset walk along the waterway next to the house. Great place for families to visit.

COVID practices and policies:
We sanitize all possible surfaces after each stay, including: wiping down surfaces, cleaning all linens (duvets included - this is a regular part of our cleaning as well), putting pillows through the dryer on high heat AND rotating them between stays, and rotating blankets between stays. We also leave the windows open for as long as possible between stays to air out the house as much as possible. For surfaces that are hard to disinfect, such as the couch, we recommend bringing your own sheets to put down on the couch, or ask us to provide extra.
While staying with us, please do your best to keep the house Covid-free and safe for other guests. If you have any Covid-like symptoms we ask that you get tested before your stay, and please ask to cancel if you suspect you may have Covid (even if its last minute - we will give you a full refund if you have Covid, or other important Covid-related reasons).
