The Jewel of the Cove does not allow candles, incense, air fresheners, scented plug-ins, smoking, vaping, etc. anywhere in the house or on the property - indoors or outdoors - including on the covered porch, on the patio, near the grill, anywhere in the backyard, driveway, or near any doors or windows. Smoking and vaping are only allowed on public sidewalks. If there is any evidence of smoking, incense, candles, air fresheners, scented plug-ins, vaping, etc. on the premises, your security and/or damage deposit will be forfeited and you will incur an additional charge (minimum $500) for cleaning, carpet cleaning, and deodorizing. Breaking this rule may result in guest(s) being made to vacate the premises immediately with possible loss of all payments, fees, deposits, and taxes. If we cannot reach the guest that booked the property, an authorized party may show up to require the entire group to vacate the premises immediately.

This house has been updated in the last six months from top to bottom. It is extremely spacious and set up in a very convenient layout. When you drive up the long private driveway, the first thing you'll notice is that the property is completely fenced in which gives you that private beach feel you've been waiting for. The custom patio on this level has both a sitting area and lounging area that leads to the waterfront hot tub. In addition, there is a full bathroom on this level so you won't have to worry about the kids bringing in all the sand from their day on the beach. After you're done swimming, kayaking, or just relaxing, you'll love hanging out on the first floor in the open kitchen and living room with fantastic views of the water any way you turn. There is a full bathroom on this level as well. The kitchen has top end appliances for any of your cooking needs, however, feel free to reach out for restaurant recommendations as New Haven is just ten minutes away. On the second floor, you'll find five bedrooms and another full bathroom. Three of the bedrooms have sliding doors to yet another deck so you can enjoy the cool breeze at night. Finally, on the third floor, you will find the master suite complete with its own full kitchen, full bathroom, sectional, and work station. This floor has the best views around with another deck. Because of the four bathrooms, this house can easily accommodate multiple families, several couples, or a big bunch of friends. Cosey Beach is a quaint area with a restaurant and public beach just a short walk away. This house is the getaway you didn't know you were looking for.

It’s a stretch of beach that lies between two tidal inlets along the Long Island Sound in East Haven. This beach has earned a national award by the National Resources Defense Council largely due to their monitoring system and pollution control effects used on the beach. NRDC named it “A Beach Buddy” and voted it one of the five top picks for clean summer spots in the East Coast. Another reason for the cleaner water is due to the two tidal inlets on each side of the beach and the natural cleansing that occurs as these tidal inlets move the water in and out. Our house is on one of the inlets.

Upstairs, the master includes a king-sized bed, a twin bed, sitting area, designated desk & work station with laptop trays & chargers, a Smart TV and walk in closet (with wedding props for photos, free-standing tri-fold dressing mirror, chests containing items for brides and grooms getting ready on their special day, tri-fold lighted vanity mirror, ironing board and steam iron). The full bathroom is equipped with double sinks, a jacuzzi tub and shower enclosure. The front lawn has two adirondack chairs from which you can gaze out at the Long Island Sound, listen to the seagulls squawking and watch the sailboats go by.
