This historic district home has been enlarged and updated. It has been properly prepared for you, with a minimum two day interval between guests. Its been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected following guidelines based on recommendations from the CDC.

Comfortably sleeping a maximum of eight guests, this rambling 2,800 sq. ft home was a former bed and breakfast property with an upped level of care and comfort for your perfect home away that's yours as long as you need it. Family and friends or family getaway. Or just yourself.

The ground floor includes: a big, airy Eat-in Kitchen with a Skylight (the full moon's light is my favorite); a large Dining area with seating for 8 persons with patio doors leading to the large three season porch at far end, more patio doors to the covered porch at the near end, and a cozy lounging area in a large bay windowed alcove overlooking the garden (It's hard to Twitter with all of the bird feeder activity goings on just outside the windows); a lounging Living Room with a second set of patio doors to the three season porch; a cheery half bathroom is near the front entrance; a ground floor Bedroom with a queen sized bed, patio doors to the private rear garden, a large walk-in closet, and an en-suite bathroom with a double sink and walk-in shower; and, a large capacity washer and dryer in the pantry off the kitchen.

The three bedrooms upstairs all have noise blocking window attachments, black out roman shades and red oak floors. The beds are super comfortable. The cotton linens, comforters and pillows are all soft and clean, laundered with free and clear detergent. There's a large bedroom with a king bed that may be converted into twin beds upon prior request. The other two bedrooms have queen sized beds. The upstairs bathroom is sunny and roomy with good lights and mirrors.

The Sky Light in the kitchen area makes getting up in the morning a good thing with fresh brewed coffee and the opened patio doors to the beach garden. Alternative eating spots include outside under the covered porch where you may have a leisurely enjoyed brunch party at the table that seats six or the adjoining three season room where inside the perfect afternoon light filled venue is ready for hosting afternoon drinks or evening cocktails as the setting sun may be dappled by the big daddy sugar maple outside.

Your Host lives in the attached garage/ air hangar which is a working artist's live/work studio with its own and separate road access, private entrance and parking.

- "The host was very kind and responsive, which we truly appreciated. However, the house was not properly cleaned. There were a lot of flies inside, the basement had a strong musty smell, and the hot tub water was untreated and had a bad odor, With better cleaning, maintenance, and care for the house the stay could have been much more pleasant." - "We rented this place for the first time for a family gathering. The setting was very private and “country-ish”. For the most part everything listed was present at the place and there were enough sleeping options for our crew. They said the pool and hot tub were cleaned and ready but the pool was still dirty and the hot tub was at 52degrees and did not have any chemicals added. It smelled musty too. There were sinks that leaked and the tennis court is really not useful because of too many weeds and overgrowth. Fortunately we weren’t expecting to use it. I did report it all to the owners so hoping they will take some time to do a better job for the next guests. Overall - it did not interrupt our stay and we just enjoyed our togetherness and we would consider renting again in the future. Overall"

Lower Level Beautiful Space: Well kept with an amazing view of a Beautiful Brook that Runs through the Backyard. It is a small cottage style home and you will have the best views of the Brook. You will also hear and see the Brook from the Bedroom, Kitchenette and Patio. Depending on the season it will Vary.

If you have 2 Cars please make sure you let me know so I can accommodate.

The space
1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Kitchenette, Private Entrance, Large Patio with BBQ. The space is a private Apartment with a separate entrance in my home. I am personally not bothered by hearing a voice, a dog barking, footsteps or a door closing. I would never expect complete silence when I am inviting people to stay in my home and I would not consider this noise. If you are looking for complete silence on your end this is not the place for you.

DOG iNFORMATION:
Poop Pen filled with Cedar for Dogs out front. There is a leash attached to the house and an opening on the front porch you can use. Right side of house Garden area has another small area for dogs to go to the bathroom with Mulch. You can also walk your dog on the street or local paths. (Street can be busy but many people walk their dogs on it including myself). There is not a grass area on my property for dogs to poop.

Guests will have a private entrance and have access to the Apartment and Back Patio. It is Dog Friendly so they will also have access to the Poop area in the front of the house and can use Dog Pen and Chairs in the front or the other side of the house that has mulch. No Grassy area on property.

House Rules:

-No parties or events/disruptive noise. There are outdoor noise monitors on property.
-No outside speaker system/speakers allowed. Bluetooth speakers are provided with the house.
-Please be mindful of the noise levels. Quiet hours: 10 PM - 8AM
-No additional guests besides the ones on the listing. House allows a maximum of 16 people on site at any time.
-No smoking indoors.
-Remove tanning oil/lotion/sunscreen before using the pool/spa - it avoids clogging up the filtration system.
-Do not feed the fish.
-Please put the hot tub cover back on after using it- it prevents dirt and debris from entering
-For removing any trash, please leave them in the containers by the parking lot and ensure the lid is secured. It prevents any animals from reaching them.
-Please switch off lights/air conditioners
