This historic district home has been enlarged and updated. It has been properly prepared for you, with a minimum two day interval between guests. Its been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected following guidelines based on recommendations from the CDC.

Comfortably sleeping a maximum of eight guests, this rambling 2,800 sq. ft home was a former bed and breakfast property with an upped level of care and comfort for your perfect home away that's yours as long as you need it. Family and friends or family getaway. Or just yourself.

The ground floor includes: a big, airy Eat-in Kitchen with a Skylight (the full moon's light is my favorite); a large Dining area with seating for 8 persons with patio doors leading to the large three season porch at far end, more patio doors to the covered porch at the near end, and a cozy lounging area in a large bay windowed alcove overlooking the garden (It's hard to Twitter with all of the bird feeder activity goings on just outside the windows); a lounging Living Room with a second set of patio doors to the three season porch; a cheery half bathroom is near the front entrance; a ground floor Bedroom with a queen sized bed, patio doors to the private rear garden, a large walk-in closet, and an en-suite bathroom with a double sink and walk-in shower; and, a large capacity washer and dryer in the pantry off the kitchen.

The three bedrooms upstairs all have noise blocking window attachments, black out roman shades and red oak floors. The beds are super comfortable. The cotton linens, comforters and pillows are all soft and clean, laundered with free and clear detergent. There's a large bedroom with a king bed that may be converted into twin beds upon prior request. The other two bedrooms have queen sized beds. The upstairs bathroom is sunny and roomy with good lights and mirrors.

The Sky Light in the kitchen area makes getting up in the morning a good thing with fresh brewed coffee and the opened patio doors to the beach garden. Alternative eating spots include outside under the covered porch where you may have a leisurely enjoyed brunch party at the table that seats six or the adjoining three season room where inside the perfect afternoon light filled venue is ready for hosting afternoon drinks or evening cocktails as the setting sun may be dappled by the big daddy sugar maple outside.

Your Host lives in the attached garage/ air hangar which is a working artist's live/work studio with its own and separate road access, private entrance and parking.

Perched above a charming barn and set on four peaceful acres shared with the main house, the Loft is a serene and private retreat ideal for relaxation, inspiration, or a romantic weekend away.
This Loft is on the same property where we live, so although private, chances are you will see us on the property coming or going or working in the garden!

Step onto your private deck and take in views of the lush gardens and orchard—a tranquil backdrop for morning coffee or evening stargazing. The interior is bright, airy, and thoughtfully designed for comfort and ease, making it a cozy home base after a day of adventuring.

Located just 2 miles from the heart of the picturesque town of Roxbury, you’ll be close to the best of New England charm. Stroll through historic streets, explore local farms, or spend an afternoon antiquing. You’re also only 8 miles from Washington Depot and New Milford, both are famous as the inspiration for Gilmore Girls, where you'll find boutique shopping, galleries, and excellent dining.
