Beautiful private cabin, just 1 foot from Lake Pattagansett, has its own beach and dock. Suitable for 2 adults or couple with kids. Queen bed is on the second floor. Through the huge window you can view the lake from both floors. The kitchen includes fridge, sink, stove and oven, and all kitchenware needed for cooking. The picnic bench, grill and fire pit right outside are perfect for family dinners. If you will be here on Saturday, Sunday or Monday you may want to order prepared foods, pastries, produce, eggs, meat and more from our on-line store (https://shop.whitegatefarm.net/) which is open Tuesday 12:01 am to Wednesday midnight. The summer farm stand is open Saturdays and Sundays from 9 to 2.
Swimming in the lake, fishing, hiking on nearby trails and exploring the farm are some of the activities available for our guests. During your stay, explore local art and history at one of the many quaint New England towns and villages. You are welcome to collect deadwood from the forest surrounding the cabin for free. We also provide firewood bundles for $3/bundle.
2. Does the cabin have pots and pans and linens?
Yes, the cabin is equipped with everything you need for basic cooking and has linens and towels.
3. Does the sauna work?
Yes! The sauna is available year round.
4. Is the cabin heated?
Yes! The cabin has both propane and electric heat sources to keep you toasty even on the coldest of New England winter days.
5. Is there a grill?
Yes! The cabin has a propane and a charcoal grill. We do not provide charcoal, so bring your own please.

Vinola has one bedroom with a queen bed. The main room has one single bed, and single cot. The loft has 2 single beds. (The loft is not to be used by small children for safety.) Full kitchen with stove, oven, refrigerator, and microwave. The bathroom has a toilet and shower. Vinola has a lovely porch on the front and a fire pit and gas and charcoal grills in the back. There are trails in Pachaug and Arcadia management areas that start at the end of the driveway.
The cabin is a not secluded space. From the cabin, you can see our other cabin, a cottage and a few RV's (depends on season and number of guests). Please view ALL the listing photos to get a feel for the layout of the cabin in relation to other buildings.
Guest access
Guests have private access to the entire cabin. A short 400 foot walk from the porch leads to the property's private beach which guests are welcome to use. There is a picnic table and multiple fire pits for campfires. Guests are also welcome to use our 10 person wood fired Finnish sauna. The sauna has a lakeside deck and direct access to the water for a dip. Guests are welcome to use kayaks, canoes, and paddle board.
Other things to note
Many guests find that they have little to no cell reception here on the lake. If using the App, you can access check in directions without cell reception. We have WiFi in the cabin, so you can get connected as soon as you get inside. The login info is on the table.
We have another cabin on the property, up to three camp trailers (occupied only in the summer) as well as two main houses. We have many family members on the property at any given time and all are friendly and happy you are staying with us! Just remember that there are other people living here, so we expect respect for them as far as noise.

The space is newly remodeled and very cozy! Full kitchen with 4 burner stove and oven, refrigerator, and microwave. The kitchen has a table with 4 chairs and a sofa that can one person can sleep on. The bathroom has a shower, small sink and toilet. There is no TV. (you won't miss it, we promise!) Ellis has a lovely porch on the front with views of Beach Pond. This is not a secluded cabin. There is a house next door, another cabin behind, and a camp trailer that is occasionally occupied across the driveway. See the aerial photos in the listing to get a better feel for the layout.
