This cottage is located on Bass River in Grand Cove. Just steps to the waters edge. A Fisherman's and Kayakers Heaven! A wonderful location in the Historic District of South Dennis with it's church bells bellowing across the water, beautiful homes and historic buildings. The cottage was built in the early 1930's, it was one of the first cabins on the shore. As you enter the cabin, the knotty pine walls and hard wood floors welcome you. The living room ceiling is vaulted and the original wood. The living room looks over the Bass River and has amazing sunsets every night. The glass sliding doors bring you to the porch, hot outdoor shower, grill and access to the 185' pier and dock. There is a small beach for launching canoes, kayaks and small fishing boats about 10' away. The living room has an electric fire place, a/c, flat screen tv w cable and internet. The kitchen has everything you should need for preparing meals for your stay. The cabin is located on a acre of land that is shared by 5 cottages. They are a condo association that share the dock, parking, dumpster and public beach.
The large West Dennis Beach is just a quick 5 minutes to the West Dennis Beach. This beach has the warm water from Nantucket Sound, some waves and soft white sand. From the cottage, take a walk to the Breakfast Room for breakfast or lunch, Steamer Trunk's surf stuff shop/ kayak rentals, and The Christmas Tree Shop. An antique shop on the way is always fun to pop into. Location is central to all cape cod has to offer. This property has the use of all amenities at the Yarmouth Country Cabins just 8 minutes away. There is a heated pool, laundry room and bikes to borrow at the cabins. Kayak rentals are nearby to The Outlook Cabin. It is a quaint waterfront cottage with an amazing view and sunsets on the beach every night. Convenient to shopping on Rt.134 at Patriots Square. Cape Cod Rail Trail is one mile from the cottage. There are bikes to rent, parking and one of our favorite restaurants, Morrelle's. The cabin has a dock and beach for fishing and swimming. A 185' dock and boat slip was built Sept '09. Grand Cove is a Cape Cod Treasure! It is an amazing fishing spot. When the birds come flyin' in..the fish just start jumping! Sit back and enjoy the views of Bass River. This is a no wake zone. Very quiet. Mussels in the sea grass or fresh fish for dinner? Sail, kayak, and swim! Sit back and enjoy the sunset over the water every night from the patio. Light up the Weber grill for an evening fire or BBQ. The gas fireplace in the living room will keep you warm on a chilly Spring or Fall evening. The location of this rental is set in the heart of all that Cape Cod has to offer yet it is quiet and secluded. This is a Cape Cod treasure. Grand Cove is ocean fed salt water. This cove is located on Bass River. Bass River connects to the Nantucket Sound. The water is the temperature of the ocean or a bit warmer and the fishing is bountiful. There is a boat ramp located on Great Wastern Road in Dennis. The ramp is about 8 minutes from the cottage and parking is free. Beaches: Chapin Beach/Mayflower Beach on the Bay side off Rt. 6a is so beautiful at sunset. Pack a picnic dinner. During the day, bring the kids at low tide...the beach goes out for miles with an abundance of tide pools. West Dennis Beach is just 2 miles from the cottage. It has just enough waves. Coastguard Beach: A 40 minute drive, big waves and nature. Seagull Beach in Yarmouth is calm and warm. Only 10 minutes away. Chapin Beach and Mayflower Beach are best experienced w a low tide that leaves a beach of about 3 miles out and tide pools for kids/ toddlers to play in. So fun!
Resturants everywhere and shopping. Be sure to catch a whale watch. Cape Cod is a whales destination to feed before they make the trip down the east coast for the winter.

Studio cabin is located at the Yarmouth Country Cabins in South Yarmouth. This cabin shares the 10 acres of land/woodlands is located in the heart of Cape Cod. So close to the Island Ferries we can hear the steamships horns blow. This property was developed in the 1940's and still has the nostalgic charm that it was blessed with. There are nature walking paths, badminton, ping pong, horseshoes, Bocci Ball, beach sand playground, campfire area, heated salt chlorinated outdoor pool, and salt water pond at the edge of the property. We are exactly one mile to the Town of Yarmouth's Parker's River Beach on South Shore Drive on the Nantucket Sound side of the cape. Our location is between 2 of Cape Cod's largest miniature golf attractions, Pirate's Cove and Bass River Sports World/Skull Island. This cabin shares an outdoor heated salt water pool, playground, games and walking trails. It is quick one mile to the beach on the ocean side of cape cod. Many restaurants are easy to walk. Bass River Sports World is a one block walk and offers mini golf, batting cages, bumper cars, arcade..so much more. The property is peaceful and nostalgic. It was built in 1939. This is family owned rental property and has hosted many families over the decades. We hope that yours will visit us soon. There are hammocks swaying over sandy knolls. Large beachsand playground and playhouse for the kids. Badmitton, ping pong, Bocci ball, Volleyball Sand Court, Bikes to borrow and nature trails to Swan Pond(now closed) Nightly bonfire for roasting marshmallows, picnic tables, bbq grills and tiki torches make the evenings fun.
The nearest beaches are Parker River Beach, Smuggler's Beach, and South Middle Beach are 1 mile away. Seagull Beach and West Dennis Beach are approx 2.5 mile away. The location is on busy route 28 so it is difficult to turn out of the property and the property was difficult to find when driving by (need to look for the big bear statue, no signage). Summary of Cabin5: Parking is on the right side of cabin5 front porch. A small enclosed porch w seating for 3. The studio cabin has a queen bed and pullout twin bed for a small person. Linens and bedding included. We do not recommend this cabin for more than 2 adults. Best use is 2 adults and a small child (under 70 pounds). The kitchenette has all you should need for your stay. Full sized refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, full-sized sink and counter. There is no oven or dishwasher. If something is not in the kitchenette that you need for a meal, Our advice is that you plan to bring your 5 favorites from your kitchen that you use everyday. A skillet, knife, cutting board, French press, ziplock bags, etc. It is a small bag to bring that simplifies your meal prep. A nice sized bathroom w shower. Please bring your own towels and soaps. If you are flying in, ask maintenance for towels.
An outdoor fenced shower is on cabin5 in addition to the indoor shower.
The patio is your private patio. No charcoal is supplied for charcoal grills. There is a gas grill behind cabin5 that is for all to use. In joy your time and family. Patio with seating with umbrella at the front door of the cabin.

The setting is on a 10 acre multi-cabin retreat that has the nostalgic feeling of cape cod in 1950. Many pine trees, nature paths, salt water pond (Swan Pond/ Parkers River) that leads to the ocean; great fishing. Our fun stuff: outdoor heated salt water pool, bikes to borrow, hammocks, tiki torches, grills, beach sand playground w/ toys. Nightly marshmallow roasts at our outdoor fireplace are daily. Bring a flashlight for a game of flashlight tag or Nerf ball. This is a peaceful place. You may remember spending time at a place just like this when you were a kid. Family friendly. Family atmosphere. If you are searching for a rental that has other families, plenty of room to ride bikes safely, and games such as horseshoes, bocci ball, foosball, ping pong and badminton. - "New furniture in our cabin, recently painted and updated. Have stayed here a few summers in a row now. Centrally located to everything. If you are looking for place to cook a meal or two, shower and sleep this place is perfect." - "While the best thing about this place was the location, as it was near everything, it was perfect for a family vacation. The cabin was the perfect size, the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of storage. The pool was great for our little ones who are still learning to swim and also for us, we love to swim. Everyone was so polite and friendly and the owners were always there if we needed them. Our dog was welcomed and when she had a long time in our cabin, the owners offered to take her out for a walk. We ended up taking her to doggie daycare not 5 minutes away to give her some extra fun time. We had such a good time and have every intention of coming back every summer. This was perfect for our small family, but would be great if we had a bunch of families with us. Hopefully this can be a family reunion place in the future."

- "We loved our week at the Cozy Cottage, even though it rained a fair amount. The cottage is rustic and quirky, but it has all the kitchen appliances and equipment that we could want--even a dishwasher--and it was comfortably furnished. There's a washing machine, but no dryer, so we hung our laundry on the line when the weather was good, and on a large wooden rack when it rained. It's located at the end of a winding, bumpy dirt road--best to drive a car with good clearance. It felt like being at my late grandfather's getaway cottage. This isn't for everyone, but if you're looking for an old time getaway, this is the place. There is no TV, but there are dozens and dozens of books in the bookcases. The vinyl collection is classic. On rainy days we settled into the stuffed chairs and read with the sound of rain on the roof. It's just a perfect place to de-stress and unwind. On the sunny days we spent time at the lake, enjoying the canoe and kayaks. Our dog had so much fun swimming in the clean, clear water and jumping off the dock. This charming cabin sits on the Long Pond shore front. It is one of a cluster of four cabins (the original tiny houses!), each rented separately. We have worked hard to preserve the unique, 1930's fish camp character. If you are looking to commune with nature, seek a simple respite from modern life or just want to enjoy Long Pond, this space is for you.

This cabin (we call it Dick's after our grandfather) has a shorefront room with queen bedroom on one side and kitchenette on the other. The living room has a sitting area with couch, chairs and a dining area. There is a fireplace with a gas insert. The bathroom (with lake view) has an old fashioned claw foot tub that is fitted with a hand shower. You can sit in the bath and look out onto the pond! There is a screened porch with cafe table and chairs and amazing water views. The kitchenette has sink, microwave, small fridge, toaster oven, induction cook top and plenty of dishes and cookware. Guests have access to a grill and picnic table outside.

Dick's Cabin is near it's neighbors, but carefully arranged to give a sense of privacy. The waterfront with small dock sits just next to this cabin. Although the waterfront is shared between the four cabins, it is rarely used by anyone except the residents of this cabin. If you have a larger group, it is possible to rent cabins together for an old-fashioned fish camp experience.

We're at the end of a private, sandy road and located next to Pinewoods Camp. When the camp is in session from mid June through Labor Day you can hear their music until 11:00 PM each night. In early June and September, the pond is wonderfully quiet. You can enjoy the area's wildlife, swim in the clear waters, hike miles of nature trails or use it as a jump-off point to explore the Cape and Boston.

- "Communication during the planning phase with Audrey was immediate and also throughout our stay. We stayed in Cabin #6 for 9 nights in October during a rainy, cool few days. The cabin was warm, clean and welcoming. We prepared quite a few meals indoors, but were able to grill outside on our private patio. The outdoor shower was huge and wished it was warm enough to use it. The grounds have a huge amount of acreage with winding white shelled streets, well lit at night for walks at all hours. Each walk is an experience of discovery as you pass the whimsical items placed discreetly among the beautiful trees, shrubs and flowers. There are several modern outdoor fireplaces surrounded by chairs and wooden swings waiting for some company and a blanket. Safe children's play area. As you can tell, we loved our stay and can envision a summer family reunion with lots of kids, each family in their separate cabin right next door. Thank you Audrey for all your fine touches. - "We absolutely loved our stay at this Charming & adorable little cottage. It was just the right size. The decor and the waterfront location was beautiful right on the Atlantic Ocean estuary of Town Cove which is safe and fun to play in. The location was perfectly situated between Orleans and Eastham, making restaurants & groceries really easy. Although it’s on hwy 6 you don’t hear or see any road noise in the cabin nor while outside in the deck hid the dock. Our highlights were 1. beachcombing at First Encounter beach at low tide. 2. We rented 2 tandem kayaks from Paddle Cape Cod & the delivered & picked them up right at the cottage for free. We paddled down to the marsh area & saw a seal and lots of interesting birds. 3. We bought a little crab trap & had fun catching green crabs with chicken legs right off the dock. Then we drove to Herring river bridge in Harwich to catch Blue crab… it was really fun. All in all it was a lovely stay, I wish we had longer and can’t wait to come back in the future."

Over the Hill is a one-room cabin built in 1999 situated on a bluff overlooking Nantucket Sound that is perfect for a couple or young family. With newly installed solar panels, it is completely off the grid, generating electricity to run the water pump, refrigerator and solar lights. Our house has a fully-equipped kitchen, and the stove/oven and hot water heater run on propane gas. Downstairs there are two twin beds with a ladder to the loft that could accommodate two children. There is an indoor toilet and outdoor shower. A picnic bench with views of the ocean provides scenic al fresco dining. And our private beach is just steps away.

Guests will need to bring all food, paper goods, bedding, cleaning products and everything needed to eat, drink, sleep, bathe and be comfortable during your stay. Similar to camping, guests are expected to carry-in and carry-out all that is needed and to leave as little ecological footprint as possible. Guests will need to leave the cabin as they found it and to bring recyclables and garbage off the island with you. In order to get to the island, arrangements can be made for our caretaker to bring you over in his boat and familiarize you with the systems in the house.

The "Over The Hill" Cottage is everything it is described to be but much much more that is not included. Fishing opportunities abound in an environment that is completely flourishing and teeming with sea life. Everything in the cottage although austere works perfectly well and is reliable. The caretaker is only a text away and is friendly and full of historical unique information about the island, its inhabitants and the community. (Thanks for everything John!) Each cottage has 1 private driveway reserved for each cottage that can fit one car in it, and ONE directly behind the driveway on the road NOT blocking the sidewalk. At NO TIME are OBC guests allowed to park ANYWHERE on the road in front of neighbors houses etc. Violators of our parking policy will be towed, Fined, and removed from the property without refund. I used the grill and had brunch on the patio table. So nice to enjoy the water from so many parts of the property. A taste of classic fish camp living. These unique 1930's structure is part of a four-cabin cluster that is situated along the Long Pond shore front. If you are looking for a rustic, commune with nature, seek a simple respite from modern life or just want to enjoy Long Pond, this is for you.

This rental includes exclusive use of one of the cabins: Betty & Helen and shared use of the waterfront. There is a very short walk between each of these locations.

Betty & Helen is a bedroom-only cabin, there is no kitchen or food storage provided. The cabin has two bedrooms, one with king bed and one with two twins (or can be pushed together to make king). There is a screened porch that looks onto a small outdoor open area. Or, you can sit and read a book in the window seat nook. A toilet room is at the end of the porch. An elegant outdoor shower just next to the cabin has plenty of hot water.

The waterfront has a small dock and seating area. Sunny in the mornings and shady in the afternoons, the waterfront is a great vantage point for viewing the lake and the weekend sailboat races. Long Pond is clean and clear -- great for swimming. Shared use of a two-person canoe is included in the rental.

Our compound is at the end of a private, sandy road and located next to Pinewoods Camp. When the camp is in session from mid June through Labor Day, you can hear their music until 11:00 PM each night. In early June and September, the pond is wonderfully quiet. You can enjoy the area's wildlife, swim in the clear waters, hike or bike miles of nature trails or use this as a jump-off point to explore the Cape and Boston.

Our cabins have names because they were built for the use of our Dad's family when he was growing up. Our grandparents were English Country Dance enthusiasts and named the cabins after dances and family members. Each cabin is a stone's throw away from the others but they are arranged to give a sense of privacy.

- "This cottage rental more than lived up to its billing as a typical Massachusetts fish camp built in the 40s. The setting - at the end of a long drive - ensures tranquility. The many cottages in the camp offer simple but clean comfortable and functional lodgings. Each cottage has its unique flair. "Dick's Maggot" is a single bed cabin with minimal kitchen right on the water's edge. Very romantic. The cabin we rented, "Betty and Helen," is set back a bit from the pond. Its two bedrooms and tiny bathroom would suit a small family quite well. Since this cabin has no kitchen, it was rented to us along with another cabin, "Liliburo," that had a nice dining area, porch overlooking the pond, and full kitchen. No bathroom in "Liliburo." We lit fires two of three nights thanks to that quirky late august Massachusetts weather. Wood was provided -Thanks! As of this visit, "Betty and Helen" did not have a working fireplace but this was not an issue given the inclusion of "Liliburo"in our rental fee. I recommend arriving before dark as the cabin nameplates are hard to read in the dark. Also, be aware: the adjacent camp "Pinewoods" offers nightly traditional dancing and singing programs which some might consider disruptive. The programs are fairly lively with stamping, fiddling, yip-ping and some limited yee-hawing. While we were there, these went on from around nine to around eleven at night. We loved it. From our vantage point ("Betty and Helen" is the closest cabin to the festivities), the off-beat (think "square dancing") accompaniment to our rural retreat was just a wonderful funky addition. The camp is fairly close to Boston (about an hour's drive), and about an hour's drive to the middle of Cape Cod. You can tour the area from here and there is much to see. But you can also rusticate in style and comfort on the banks of long pond."

Come relax in our private and cozy one room cabin tucked in the woods on the family homestead. A peaceful location for connecting with nature, writing & hiking. It's a 12'x16' cabin, with a comfortable queen size bed, electricity, mini refrigerator and electric kettle. Water is provided. Equipped with a clean outhouse and an outdoor hot shower on side of main house. ( May use indoor shower in main house in cooler months) Excellent spot for star gazing.

The space
Our home and cabin is surrounded by hundreds of acres of Warwick State Forest. You may be serenaded by coyotes howling in the night and owls calling to one another. With cooler weather, we provide an electric heater and extra down blanket. For the warmer weather, we provide a fan. There are screens in the windows for good air circulation.

Guest access
Guests have access to our backyard, the fire pit and can browse through our vegetable and flower gardens. We will supply a Coleman stove and pots and pans, if you would like to cook on the outdoor picnic table which is located right in front of the cabin.

Other things to note
We have a large outdoor fire pit available for you to use. Let us know if you want to use it. The supplies: newspaper, kindling matches and wood are provided.
We will fill up a bucket of water and leave it near the fire pit for you to extinguish fire when you are finished. Please note: if it is very windy or too dry- please don't have a fire.
We have camping pads to accommodate children.
There is fresh ground Dean's Bean coffee in a jar on the counter and an assortment of teas.
Please let me know if you would like some half and half.
There are choices of herbal and black tea and sugar.

Our newly and completely renovated cottage features two bedrooms with comfy queen size beds, a loft with two full size beds, cathedral ceilings, a year-round six person hot tub and a large working kitchen stocked with everything you need. The living space is bright and airy. WiFi in the cottage is over 500 mbps, making it ideal for longer stays. The spectacular lake is just a three-minute walk from the cottage.

The entire home, backyard and lake just down the street. The lake has a boat ramp which is easily accessible, as well as a picnic table just steps from the lake, and available for the use of our guests.

A rustic, off-the-grid, beachfront "camp" sits quietly on Chappaquiddick Island. Built in the 1960s by my great-grandfather, our little Chappy house has remained mostly unchanged for the past 50+ years. Enjoy a your "unplugged" vacation, away from technology with simple pleasures out in the quiet of nature.

The space
Our little cabin is unique in this modern-age. Solar panels are used to run ONLY your most basic of needs (refrigerator and water pump) with not much more to spare. Evening light is provided by candles, kerosene lamps and gas lanterns. Return to the days of old, tune in with nature and set your restful getaway by the daylight hours. Perfect for the adventurer, fishermen/anglers, and anyone wanting to "unplug".

Chappy is truly the perfect getaway on Martha's Vineyard. Take the Chappy Ferry from Edgartown to find yourself away from the seasonal bustle of MV. To get out for an evening of fun, park your car at the Edgartown Beach and walk across on the Ferry for restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

From the back of our cabin, you can head down the sand dunes to the beach at "the gut" (well known beach on Chappy for its epic seasonal fishing). Beach stones and shells are yours for the collecting. Daily sunsets free of charge! And for a day trip to a more sandy beach sans rocks, head to Wasque (right on Chappy) or South Beach for some great waves.

Outdoor showers and fires in the evening are two simple pleasures you'll want to take advantage of. But remember, the water pump is powered by the Sun! Short showers make for a more refreshing stay for all!!

Our Solar Power is quite limited. We recommend charging cell phones in your car and conserving water usage in the evenings and during overcast days. A couple cloudy days on the Island can really run down the power. Sunny mornings are the best time for showers and hot water usage, so that the solar panels can charge back up before noon! (And if nothing else, these simple tricks will put in perspective just how lucky we are to have constant electric + hot water in our day-to-day lives!)

During summer, we rent the house weekly from Saturday to Saturday. If you are planning your trip to the island, be sure to make a ferry reservation for your car at The Steamship Authority online. They book FAST and without a reservation you will not be able to get your car across to the island. Once on the island, the smaller ferry to Chappy does not require reservations, but does require CASH!

Other things to note
Guests are responsible for bringing their own linens, towels and candlesticks. PLEASE NOTE: each guest is expected to sweep the sand out of the cabin before they leave Saturday morning and to put everything back where it’s was. Any damages will be the responsibility of the tenant and will be taken out of the security deposit. Recycling and trash collection is on Saturday mornings and guests will also need to bring it out to the bins on the deck.

This property is located at the Atkins Compound which consists of four small beach cottages on an acre of land backed by conservation with a short walk across the quiet street to magnificent Sagamore Beach. This cottage is labeled 352x Phillips Road . Three small bedrooms include a set of twins in one bedroom, a queen in another bedroom and a queen in the third bedroom. Nice little galley kitchen. Small livingroom area with the tv. Lovely deck with ample table and chairs for outside dining and sunning.

The Flamingo House is small, but has room to sleep 12. The upstairs is two and a half bedrooms, included with QUEEN sized mattresses, a romantic chandelier, closet space, and incredible views night or day. And for a quick nap, fall asleep in the sun room where we have included a QUEEN sofa futon. Every sleeping room has a C02 detector at pillow height and a smoke detector. For a house that dates to the early 1900s it is fully equipped with a stove, microwave, full cooking & eatery sets; including corkscrews and can openers, a keurig, ninja coffee machine and grinder, rice cookers, crock pots can all available by request.The kitchen will be stocked with K cups, coffee, pop corn for the movies, and s’mores ingredients for the fire pit. Don’t worry about bug spray, sun tan lotion, and hand sanitizer, they are inclusive with every stay. The bathroom is small but functional. One stand up stall shower and all the lotions and soaps you'll need!

Living Space:
The living space is highlighted by entertaining maritime and cozy water views. With an adjustable TV to enjoy anywhere in the space. The house faces perfectly east to enjoy views from sunrise to sunset. Enjoy coffee at your private bar, in the sunroom, or walk out right on your deck. Inside you will find around the games and puzzles set up by your "Cape Codder" with "#PlayHere. The house has 4 AC units, so staying cool is no problem! The house is also heated by a forced hot air Gas Heater. So even in the winter, spend Christmas by the water, toasty and cozy.

Parking/Arrival:
All doors are locked on the property, and equipped with a key code entry. Code is changed after every stay. Outdoor grounds are protected and monitored by security cameras 24/7. Please make sure door is fully shut, and 15 seconds to fully lock. The Driveway has 2 spots. DO NOT WORRY. You can find parking, .02 Miles @ Hynes Parking, a short walk to and from the house.
