The population of Florida is about 700 and is on top of the Hoosac Mountain Range in the most picturesque portion of the historic Mohawk Trail. You need a car to get around. With a little planning you could have flowers, cute teddy bear or other gifts awaiting your arrival in the cabin. Wayne has built an outdoor oasis complete with the lover's swing, the charcoal grill, the picnic table, the stump table and the romantic string lights to extend the amorous atmosphere even after sun down. Wayne also stacks dry/split firewood neatly right near the firepit so you can start a campfire easily. In the winter Wayne plows the driveway multiple times (the first time before 8am so you will be able to get in/out without any problem). Extras! Or spend the day exploring the many surrounding towns with antiques, restaurants and shopping galore; take a drive down a country road looking for roadside farm stands; go for a long walk in the woods; or explore the nearby rock quarry (the app AllTrails is a must have for this!). At night, have dinner at an outdoor restaurant, grill on the deck, relax with a glass of wine on the porch, roast marshmallows, do a puzzle, or enjoy your favorite streaming on our Roku TV with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and more. The house has one large main room with living and kitchen areas, and two small bedrooms.
The larger room has a queen bed with a comfy mattress and luxurious linens. The smaller bedroom has a full-size bed and narrow twin upper bunk (for children only). Greetings from John at the American House! This is the perfect getaway to destress and relax! This is an original Lincoln Logs home, nestled in two and a half acres of private woodland, with 100 feet of lake frontage. No noisy omotorboats at this end of the lake, just lots of wildlife and an occasional canoe or kayak. A hand crafted canoe is ready for your enjoyment, as well as 3 kayaks. Very private property with almost anything you may need provided down by the water, including an outdoor screen with projector and a dock for launching the canoe and kayaks. Check out the pictures!

Cabin sleeps five, with a queen bed in the master bedroom on main floor, a double log bed and a queen bed in the loft, as well as a twin rollaway in walk in closet. The bathroom is off the spacious den. There is an air conditioner in the master bedroom. Normally the cabin stays quite cool by following a few easy tips. Please help yourselves to the well stocked kitchen and linens. A brand new gas stove is in kitchen. Large TV in the den with lots of movies to watch. Two twelve by twelve foot Canopies right on the water with a stocked fire pit and hammocks nearby. Electricity, WIFI, refrigerator and rain barrel all conveniently located. Large outdoor screen with Bluetooth speaker for viewing movies or concerts also down by the water. New, a private screened gazebo right on the water with a gas firepit 100 ft from the main area (where the tent used to be).

York Lake is 1 mile away, and Cookson state forest is located across the street with hiking and mountain bike trails available. Great Barrington is a quick 15 scenic drive away with many shops and restaurants to enjoy. Jacobs Pillow is a 25 min drive, and Ski Butternut is only 10 min down the road if you enjoy skiing!

The space is cozy but usefully divided into separate spaces, with a comfortable living room and well-stocked kitchen. The large lawn with a picnic table is suitable to outdoor recreation and relaxation. The beds were comfortable and the next morning we made coffee for breakfast in the coffee maker with the coffee grounds provided. Even though the place is historical, the appliances were updated, including having heat pump. The shower area was small, but functional and we quickly got used to it. The kid had fun exploring all the nooks and crannies in the house because the layout is so special. One thing to note for people with mobiity issues. The bedrooms are not on the same floor as the bathroom, so you either have to go down a ladder or up a few steps in the middle of the night. It was not an issue for us though. We loved the place and would recommend it. "

Refurbished cottage, perfect for a couples getaway. This retreat is tastefully decorated with with local antiques & fresh linens. Nestled into the forest in the best possible location, just one mile from Tanglewood and an 5 minute walk to Stockbridge Beach. Lots of places to put your feet up with a good book, or just enjoy the sound of the wind in the trees. This is a "seasonal camp" with a/c in the bedrooms. You can also expect an occasionally visit by a local bear, chipmunk or red wing hawk.

Easy ride to Tanglewood Short ride to Lenox and Lee The cottage is an older gem Well stocked and lots of quirky charm" - "Cant say enough nice things about our stay at this cabin. We traveled from MO to see James Taylor at Tanglewood over the 4th of July weekend. We stayed 4 nights, and had the time of our lives. The first few nights my wife and I stayed by ourselves, and explored Lenox and the neighboring towns. Lots of shops and great places to eat. Then friends from CT joined, and we enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards ( supplied) all day of the 4th at Stockbridge Bowl ( lake across the street). Weather was perfect for our 5 min car ride to Tanglewood. And if you are going to Tanglewood from this location, use the "Lions Gate". After the concert we enjoyed fireworks in the parking lot with 20,000 guests, and it only took us less than 5 minutes to get back to the cabin. The only bad thing I can say, is that I didn't want to leave. I'd give this place 6 stars if I could. BOOK IT if available, you will not be disappointed."

Welcome to West Stockbridge in the Berkshires! This newly renovated modern cabin is nestled amongst the trees and located just 3 miles from the famous Tanglewood and Kripalu. Right down the street is main street where you can peruse the shops, grab a gourmet coffee, or listen to more music at the Foundry. There are restaurants, hiking trails, waterfalls and lakes less than a mile away. We are 5 minutes from the turn pike for easy directions! Come hang and enjoy all the activity and beauty.

This log cabin is surrounded by tall towering trees with a quaint exterior and a surprisingly spacious open interior. Its design is updated while keeping the integrity of the cabin appeal. All bedrooms and living room have split systems with A/C and heat!
The main floor includes a living room, dining room, well stocked kitchen , bathroom with shower and one king bedroom.
The basement is a great kids and adult space where you can cozy up and watch movies, shoot some hoops with the arcade game "hot shot" and the kids still have an extra bedroom to play in, equipped with games and activities.
The upstairs has an spacious king master with work space, a full bathroom with tub and another guest king bedroom.

- "Lovely cottage. Very clean. Everything we needed. We had a great time!" - "Are you looking for a vintage Western Mass/Berkshires experience? Look no further! Patty’s magic cottage was our spot for six glorious days in August of 2019. We have kids and a dog (reasonable fee). The house was so well appointed and “ready for anything.” We spent time at the lake (a 5 minute walk door to dock-also the state’s largest recreational lake!) and rented a boat. We enjoyed surrounding areas including Lee, Lenox, Stockbridge and Monterey. My part of the trip included time at Jacob’s Pillow—Becket is also a magic little town! Otis boasts a Farmers Market and nearby gas/grocery. A charming New England town center with all of the trappings of real 413 living. It is barely remote, but close enough to civilization and neighbors that my city kids weren’t in shock. I told Patty we’d be back to stay again for more hiking, shopping, and making of family memories."

This tranquil cabin is across the street from Little Robin Lake, in Sherwood Forest, and a short bike ride (or 15 min. walk) away from the local quaint diner/convenience store.

Cars are needed to get around; bring your bikes and enjoy walking on these quiet dirt roads. Walk 40 feet to the small quiet beach on the lake.

Escape to a charming cabin in Becket for a soothing retreat. This adorable 2-bedroom in a lake community offers all the comforts you need, from WiFi to heating and AC. We are located in Sherwood Forest and a short walk to Robin Hood Lake that has a sandy beach! It’s just two bedrooms — nothing fancy — but it’s everything we need. Our kitchen is simple and we have enough to make simple meals. We often eat our meals and have our coffee on the deck. The primary bedroom has a double bed and the blue bedroom has a pullout twin futon. This is a great place for a couple. The bathroom has a stand up shower and is equipped with soaps and shampoo. Surrounded by tall trees and the sounds of the forest, it’s a peaceful place where life naturally slows down. We are near hiking trails and close to all cultural activities. The Appalachian trail is nearby. Tanglewood is a 25 minute drive away. The Sherwood Shoppe offers great home made breakfast all day! They are in our lake community! We often take walks around the lake, and even though we live surrounded by nature, we’re just a short drive away from an incredible range of cultural experiences. Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, is nearby, along with Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, one of the world’s premier dance centers. We’re close to Berkshire Theatre Group, Shakespeare & Company, Barrington Stage Company, and the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center — all offering live theater, music, and events year-round.

For art lovers, there’s The Clark Art Institute, the Norman Rockwell Museum, and MASS MoCA, one of the largest contemporary art museums in the country, all within easy reach. Nestled in the heart of the Berkshires along a cool, fresh-water stream. This 1-bedroom 650 sq. ft. bungalow has been completely renovated and ready to welcome you. It is conveniently located to many area attractions and is situated near Jiminy Peak Ski area and the base of Mount Greylock. The main living space has a working brick fireplace, cathedral ceilings, a French door, real pine wood walls, and a loft that overlooks the main living space.

The space
The cabin is exceptionally clean and a great place to unwind after a long day exploring/ hiking/ skiing. Every square foot of space is thoughtfully utilized and has a nice rustic vibe. The living room has a cathedral ceiling, rustic woodwork, and plenty of natural light. A great space to cozy up and read a book. At night, the lights can be dimmed and the brick fireplace lit to create a romantic setting.

You may use the indoor fireplace but please follow instructions posted inside. Dry firewood is usually available in the detached garage for free. If not, firewood may be purchased from a number of local places. We ask that you be present while any fire is going and, if possible, to clean out the fireplace for the next guest. Just be sure of no hot embers. An ash bucket is available.

If you choose to cook, the kitchen is stocked with all essential cooking and eating gear.

Unfortunately we had no room for washer & dryer in this space but a laundromat is located a few miles south of the house, if you need one.

The back door is the main access from the driveway. It opens to a nice spacious deck that overlooks the stream. The deck has a gas grill and wooden privacy wall that screens the road.

Near the deck is a footbridge that crosses over a stream. Native brook trout are located in the stream and you can fish right off the bridge. We ask that you not bounce on the bridge. On the other side of the bridge is a shed and a trail that leads to a dirt road. We try to keep the trail clear but sometimes Mother Nature wins the battle.

There is a fire ring in the back yard that you are welcome to use after a day of exploring. We do not stock kindling wood but it is available in the woods across the footbridge, or may be purchased from local sources. Sometimes we drop off scrap wood from job sites that can be used for kindling.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the property, except basement. The place is all yours during your stay. You may store stuff in the garage if you wish. It is locked at all times but the key is hanging near the refrigerator.

Other things to note
The main bedroom is adjacent to the living room. It is fairly small but has a comfortable queen mattress, room darkening blinds, and it's own remote controlled heating/cooling system. There is space to hang clothes and a drawer beneath the bed to store belongings.

The loft has a twin size mattress on the floor, a large closet with barn doors, recessed lighting, and 2 windows. There is little headroom but the floor is heavily carpeted. Please do not eat or drink in the loft.

We have good internet service and a smart T.V.

There are several games and books available for those rainy days.

4th generation to own this property. It has always been a family favorite place to retreat and relax since my great grandfather acquired it on a barter. Centralized location between, Great Barrington, Pittsfield, Lenox, and Westfield. You can enjoy all south western MA has to offer and still relax on a dock in between. One lot up from the lake enjoy a shared dock and access. This cabin has always held a place in our family and friends hearts I'm sure it will capture a place in yours.

Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and dresser, bedroom 2 has a bunk bed. There is an availabile fold out bed that can be set up if more sleeping arrangements are nessesary.

Guests have access to the cabin and property excluding loft and basement. Back stairs off screen porch are emergancy exit only. Guests have access to a dock with rights to park a boat during their stay. There is plenty of room in the driveway to park a trailer after launching your boat at the boat launch. There is an area between the docks where people can swim with a low slope into the water perfect for younger guests.

The cabins are a part of the Springs Motel. If you have seen Season 2 of Inn the Works and the renovation of this property you can see the evolution of the cabins. Cabin 3 is located on the lower level at the same level as the lobby, pool, and main motel.

There is large gravel parking lot for the main motel and cabins 3 & 4.

Outdoor area:
There is a seating area in front of the cabin along with easy access to the common seating areas and fire pits for the main motel. All of the public areas of the property and motel are available to cabin guests including the pool which is open seasonally.

House:
All rooms are located one floor in the cabin with just a couple of steps up into the cabin.

Living Room: A couple of comfy couches sit in the living room facing the smart TV and the open dining and kitchen area.

Kitchen: A fully stocked kitchen with pots and pans, utensils, toaster, drip coffee maker. A gas stove and microwave will give you flexible cooking options with our fridge/freezer.

Dining area: The dining room is conveniently located off of the kitchen and living room so that people can be near one another as multiple things are going on.

Main Bedroom: The main bedroom is on the ground floor. There is a queen mattress and very large floor to ceiling windows on two sides of the room.

Bedroom 2: Bedroom 2 is beside the main bedroom and while slightly smaller than the main bedroom still has a queen bed and lots of natural light from large windows on one wall.

Bathroom: The bathroom has a combination tub/shower and our fluffy towels will feel great after a hot shower.

2 main bedrooms and all common rooms are located on the ground floor of the cabin with the kitchen, dining room and living room open to one another. The loft bedroom is up a ladder in the living room. While the ladder isn’t great for everyone, the kids will love it!

Living Room: A comfy couch sits in front of the beautifully wood finished electric fireplace and Roku TV.

Loft bedroom: The loft bedroom was a fun addition to the property, as seen on Inn the Works Season 2. There is a full bed. The ladder can be tough for anyone with mobility issues and the ceiling height is low in the loft, but it is a great place for the kids to hang out or sleep.

Bathroom: The bathroom has a combination tub/shower and our fluffy towels will feel great after a hot shower.

The cabin has a washer and dryer located in a hallway closet for guests to use while they stay.

Located at the intersection of Mohawk Trail and Oleson road in Florida, this log cabin is right on the snow mobile trail. Enjoy the outdoor space we added in 2025 including the firepit, the charcoal grill, the stump table and picnic table. We even provide dry split firewood, kindlings and a lighter - everything you need to unwind. The grill is for your convenience to make a BBQ Berkshire style! We provide grill utensils and the kitchen is well stocked with plates, cutlery and basic spices/oil/oil spray.

This 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom log home is nestled in a sacred pocket of a vast wooded property in Becket that leans against the south border of October Mountain State Forest. While only a 19-minute drive from Tanglewood, the nature-immersed dwelling is out of reach from artificial lights from roadways, and out of earshot from surrounding neighbors, leaving the visitor with breathtaking views of starry night skies and the comforting sounds of the natural world untouched by modern civilization.

Magic Mountain on 30 Acres: The Greylock Cabin Experience

When the mountain calls and you’d like to see the tallest peak from the most comfortable swing you’d want to book the Greylock cabin.

The space
Stunning, newly constructed, exceptionally private mountain top log cabin located amidst 30 acres and back to state land.

The Greylock cabin is loaded with amenities and what you need for privacy, peace, laughter, and memory making. This cabin took us 4 years to design and build. Wayne is the architect and builder and Lea, the designer. We waited until winter of 2021 for the leaves to thin out in order to site the cabin to get unobstructed view of Mt. Greylock. We named this “The Greylock Cabin” and hope you’re inspired by the view of Mt. Greylock.

Enjoy the view and the outdoor space including the firepit, the Adirondack chairs, the swings, the hammock, the stump table and the park style charcoal grill.

Most of all we hope a stay here restores, refreshes, reenergizes and prepares you for the everyday challenges in the real world because time spent here will be magical!

Although you're in the middle of the mountains you're still close to art, nature, culture, fun adventures and the convenience of being close to the Mohawk Trail, Charlemont, Berkshire East, North Adams and Williamstown.

The Greylock cabin offers total privacy. You will encounter a gate when you enter and a long driveway that puts you amidst one of the highest elevations in the state of Massachusetts.

The main level boasts a full kitchen with new top of the line SS appliances, a dining room with a round farm table and 4 chairs, a living room with a corner sofa, TV, a wood stove and a porch deck with a swing. Walk up to the the loft which has a king bed with a seating area and an executive home office for those whose work follows them wherever they go. WIFI is good and strong so you can be connected even if you're away from it all!

Besides the beautiful mountain view from every window. The lower level is fully furnished as a family room with a leather sofa, a live edge bench, end tables and a high table with 3 bar stools.

The washer and dryer is in the utility room and there's plenty of space for your coats, bikes, boots or other sport equipment. There's a large dog kennel in case you need to put your dog in the kennel when you're out and about.

The cabin is decorated with original art work from local artists (North Adams Common Folk) and other collectibles from Lea’s travels.

The gorgeous live edge bench spans the front of the cabin so you feel welcome to sit down to remove your shoes or get comfortable and cozy right when you enter. There’s also a second TV to watch your favorite show on any of the streaming services (Netfix, Prime Video, Hulu++).

To truly enjoy the outdoor and the nature that surrounds us, we invite you to the outdoor oasis. Be sure to take photos from the Greylock Gate. All the rocks and wood came from the property and we hope you love it!

If you need a photographer Lea will be happy to step in since she's a lot better than the tripod we prepared for your use. She also knows all the instragramable spots on the property.

If you plan on bringing a pet please note it on the reservation by paying the pet fee and let us know. We will prepare the dog kennel, the dog bowls and provide extra clean rags and towels for your use. We love dogs and have plenty of space for you and your puppies to enjoy. There's a lot of acres for you and your dog to enjoy. Please be sure to pick up after your dog if it's on the driveway, gravel and garden areas. Otherwise if it's on the rest of the 30 acres nature will take care of it.

Enjoy a private, peaceful weekend in the Berkshires at Dunworkin: a unique, quaint, recently remodeled cabin secluded in a private, charming setting in Sheffield, less than 5 minutes to Berkshire School. Centrally located, with a private wildlife pond, this setting is perfect for a romantic weekend, friends weekend reunions, ski trip, or a relaxing weekend away from it all.

The space
Formerly a hunting cabin, Dunworkin has plenty of new upgrades in appliances & interior details with the traditional cabin feel & decorations. The cabin has new a/c & heat via wall splits, new wood floors, all new appliances, new bathroom & improved master bedroom and a new murphy-style bed on the screened in porch available during the warmer seasons. The outdoor area is a beautiful setting in the woods with a private pond for wildlife observation only, a firepit & provided wood, and various outdoor seating options around the pond [seasonal].

The internet at this property was recently upgraded to a faster satellite service but can/may be slow at times during lots of rain/wind, etc.

Guests will enter the cabin through a main front door to find a large bright & open kitchen & living space with a second door that opens from the living room into a screened in porch and has front row views of the pond and various wildlife it welcomes. In the living area guests will find ample comfy seating with a couch in front of the new gas fireplace stove, a relaxing reading corner with the most comfortable chair ever, a dining table for 4, a work space desk & chair, two window seats that double as single sleeping spaces when needed, and a small set up of games and books for young & old guests alike as well as a multi-format media player for bluetooth/cds/vinyl, etc.

The kitchen is a bright open space with new countertops, new appliances, and utensils & cooking accessories for all types of meal prep. Additionally, the kitchen has a 2 person countertop bar that looks out over the screened in porch & pond.

We provide a coffee & tea bar area that includes a regular coffee maker, a gooseneck kettle for hot water, and we provide coffee/tea/sugar for our guests.

The screened in porch is just about perfect Spring through Fall and is accessible all year. When comfortable there is a Murphy Bed (wall bed) for 2 (double), a 3-person couch, a cushioned rocking chair, a large chair, and a coffee table. The Murphy Bed can be made up by request in the Fall but this space is not heated and is not intended for use in the winter. PLEASE ADVISE IN YOUR BOOKING REQUEST IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 4 GUESTS AND WILL NEED MURPHY BED.

The bathroom, off the kitchen, has a large shower, new appliances and washer & dryer. We provide a hair dryer, bathroom essentials, and misc. back up supplies in the event you missed something packing.

SLEEPING SPACES:
The master bedroom is on the first floor, off the kitchen area and has a new queen mattress bed on a wooden frame, a closet with hangers & full length mirror, a dresser unit, its own heat/ac wall system, and a large window overlooking the pond as well as new linens and a couple small side bed tables with lamps.

The second sleeping area is on the second floor, above the living room and has a pull out full couch which sleeps 2, a small dresser & a reading chair with lamp and it also has a open balcony view of the living room. [Please note: this sleeping space is not entirely "private" as there is a open space in the wall of that room that overlooks the living room, please see photos.

Additionally, in the living room there are two bay window boxes that have big, comfy sleeping cushions that can be sleeping spaces for singles and these window boxes also have small lamps with build in usb charging and small bookshelves with various selections. If guests need these single sleeping spaces during their stay, please mention it in the request to book message.

Seasonally the porch offers a 2 person Murphy-bed: PLEASE ADVISE US IF YOU INTEND TO USE PORCH BED during your booking request!

The cabin shares the wooded property with a Tree Preservation company and the hosts live on site, at Lime Ledge. The company is closed on weekends & holidays and the other buildings are not visible from Dunworkin which is nestled back into the woods by itself.

Welcome to Mamacha, a winter wonderland on 43 acres of protected land with marked trails, massive boulders, breathtaking views and perfect for hiking, snowshoeing (we have 5 pairs for your use!), snowmobiling (our cabin is within a network of trails!), and skiing! We’re 20 minutes from Butternut (also has snow tubing!) in Great Barrington and 10 minutes from Otis Ridge (night skiing!).

The space
Cabin opens up to a charming fireplace and open concept living space. Stairs lead to a master loft suite with a full bathroom, dedicated workspace, and smart TV. This smoke-free cabin includes 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and sleeps 8 guests. The downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed and Roku TV. The third bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds to pile in all the kids! Our favorite room in the house is our three-season screened in porch, perfect for hosting family dinners and watching fireflies in the summer.

Beautiful log cabin located in the heart of the Berkshires less than 2 miles from Butternut Ski Area. This 4 bedroom 3 bathroom home can accommodate up to 10 guests. The master loft features a king bed and private full bathroom.

The space
The top floor is a master loft with a king bed and full bathroom. On the main floor you will find 2 additional bedrooms with queen beds, a full bathroom, living room, dining area and kitchen. Venture down to the bottom floor and you can enjoy the large family room with kitchenette, oversized bedroom with 3 twin beds and another full bathroom including washer and dryer.

The space
Upscale custom built log home nestled in a tranquil setting in the Berkshire mountains.

Five bedrooms in total. Master bedroom on the 1st floor with King bed and private bath. Four bedrooms on the 2nd floor. 3 have a King size bed. One bedroom has a Queen bed. 2 have a private bath and the other 2 share a bathroom.

Each bedroom on the 2nd floor in addition to the main bed also has a full size bed next to it.

The grocery store is called “Big Y World Class Market” If you’re in the town of great Barrington say for lunch or dinner there is one just outside of it. 25mins from the house. If you’re at the house can go to the Big Y located to the north and you pretty much just take “Tyringham road” the entire way. 20mins. There is also another spot for groceries "Price Chopper" in the other direction outside the town and past butternut mountain. Also close to the price chopper you have “Plaza Package” it’s a liquor store if needed.
