*This property is on a VERY QUIET dead-end road. Even though it is on 3+ acres, sound travels very easily. So please be mindful of noise. LOUD PARTIES ARE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. Please no screaming, loud laughing, or amplified music after sunset. This rental is for quiet groups that come to the mountains to relax, rest, enjoy nature. Please observe quiet hours from 10pm - 8am.
*In light of the pandemic, your safety is our number one priority. Both the farmhouse and the cabin are installed with the Ux312 air purification system which uses UV-light technology to neutralize bacteria, viruses, mold, and allergens in the air and on all surfaces. This is the absolute top-of-the-line air purification system available and we are proud to offer it!
*Vacationing in the woods is great for the soul...but not for cell-phone service. Thankfully, almost all smart phones have a "WIFI CALLING" feature. This must be turned on, unless you relish being "off the grid."
*Depending on the season you may encounter plenty of wildlife. Please be careful driving as the deer can be bold. Also there are black bears that live in the area so NEVER LEAVE FOOD OR DRINK UNATTENDED OUTSIDE or they might pay you a visit. In the colder months there may be ladybugs near the window in the third-floor loft of the Farmhouse. We have monthly pest control to keep their numbers limited and they are harmless.
*In heavy snow, driving conditions may require 4-wheel drive. However, the route to the property is generally flat, well-plowed, and accessible by all vehicles. In the shed, there is ice-melt and a shovel available should it snow during your stay.

At the end of the driveway is a shared parking area for the cabin and adjacent farmhouse. Please park all the way to the left in front of the shed. The spots in the middle and right are for the farmhouse. The cabin has keyless entry and a pin code will be provided to you before check-in. You will be situated on 3+ acres of wooded land that reaches towards the ridge. You will find a stream at the back of the property. If you cross this stream, you are no longer on the property. To the right of the farmhouse there is a play area for children (and adults who still think they are children). At the left of the driveway is a barn where the firewood is stored…please help yourself. Beyond that is the cabin. Between the two houses is a small herb farm.
Inside this custom-built cabin you will find many natural design elements including hand-carved banisters, intricate tilework, wide-board pine floors, salvaged antique doors, skylights, and a large butcherblock kitchen island. Cuddle by the fireplace (firewood provided) or stream your favorite movie on a large 4k smart TV (Netflix included).

Every bedroom has a high-quality king or queen mattress and bedding and a dazzling view of the mountain or treetops. Upstairs master has an adjacent loft with three built-in beds, perfect for kids. If you need to get some work done or take a Zoom meeting you will have high-speed 1 Gbps internet with mesh-WIFI connecting the entire house.

This rental is a small cabin in the woods of New Paltz, NY. The cabin sleeps 4 with 2 twin beds in the loft and has a pullout couch with a quality queen size air mattress. The kitchen is equipped but does not have an oven. Streaming TV and Internet.

The space
The property is a woodsy cabin but still has many amenities of a full size home. The bathroom has a dry composting toilet, new shower, wood stove for heat, and a ceiling fan. During the winter we run off a 26 Gallon water tank and so your expectation for a 20 minute shower should be reset. Parking for 2 Cars.

New Paltz dog friendly retreat is a wonderful place to explore the Hudson Valley. 7min drive to downtown New Paltz. 10min to Minnewaska state park & Mohonk preserve. Our very large fenced yard & heated 27ft salt water pool is for your private use during your stay. A signed pool waiver will be required. Heating pool fee is $20 daily. Dog fee $100 per dog. Carolyn whom lives on site in a completely separate studio is there to trouble shoot any issues & keep the pool sparkling clean.

The space
Our house is in a very private setting among trees. Located at the end of a private lane (4th house). Its has a 70s rustic charm. There are multiple decks & sun rooms to enjoy the forest setting,

Guest access
The guest can access the main house & fenced in yard. The studio apartment immediately off the driveway is rented full time by Carolyn. The fenced in yard & pool is for air&b guests private use. Carolyn does clean the pool daily, if you'd prefer her not too, please let us know. Thanks
