OUR HOME
Our home is in New Paltz on 2.2 acres, 1 mile from town, close to numerous walking and biking trails. Rock climbing is extraordinary at the GUNKS - just 20 minutes away. NP is a friendly family town with restaurants, shops, and plenty of nearby farmers markets showcasing the produce of the valley's rich soil.
Our solarium room will keep you dry from occasional storms while you are surrounded by the sounds of nature.
The space
Our home has a lot of light! On the first floor there is a very large well equipped kitchen with a table for 6 and a separate dining room. The living room has a vaulted ceiling, 2 skylights, ceiling fan and gas insert fireplace. You will also find a newly remodeled full bathroom, a tv/den room with pullout sofa and a solarium leading onto a large deck.

On the 2nd floor are 3 bedrooms. The main bedroom has an en suite bathroom and the other 2 bedrooms are adjacent to a bathroom with a shower/tub and 2 sinks.

On the deck you will find a new Weber, table and chairs and lounging chairs.
The back lawn is excellent for kids to play outside, throw balls and run around.

Our vegetable garden will be producing greens and lettuces and PLEASE feel free to harvest and enjoy.

I have a sitting room with couch, coffee maker, microwave and a bedroom, both private with a private entrance as well. In season, an outdoor shower is available along with the back yard.
I now have a TV in the sitting room which is Guest enabled. If you have your streaming channels password for basic channels, you can log in. All data is deleted upon your departure.
The door in the sitting room that leads to my personal quarters is locked, so that guests have complete privacy.

In addition to the bedroom with a queen size bed, I have a sleeper couch in the sitting room if needed for an extra guest.

A quick 10-15 minutes will get you to world-class hiking, rock climbing, mountain swimming in glacial lakes and scenic drives along the Shawanagunk Ridge, including Minnewaska State Park, the Mohonk Preserve, Mohonk Mountain House, Sam's Point & more. Historic Huguenot Street, the oldest street in America, is right down the road and exploring its settlements and cemetery make for a fascinating day.

We are also 10 minutes south of Rosendale and a short drive further to the hamlet of High Falls. Both have excellent historical sites, dining, walking trails and swimming. The Widow Jane Mine in Rosendale is an exciting and unique trip a few minutes away into the past when it was a major source of cement for the building of many famous NYC landmarks. Visitors today explore its remains and it holds occasional events such as concerts and art installations.

The house is also about a 10 minute walk to the Wildlife sanctuary on Huguenot Street, where herons, swans, muskrats, hawks and bluebirds abound. World-class birding can also be found in nearby Wallkill, where the Shawanagunk Grasslands NWR hosts hundreds of species, including migrating owls. Majestic hawks soar over this lovely area and deer, fox, rabbits, and even bears are prevalent in the woods.

You can rest easy knowing your stay is covered with $1,500 in “All-Risk” Damage Protection. Although rare, accidental damage from guests does happen. About a mile from the heart of the village, this cedar retreat is full of fun decor and access to the local activities like hiking, swimming, rock climbing & more. The two units at Cedar Nest Bungalows are a completely newly renovated, all the way to the studs, 1930's getaway just a mile from the heart of New Paltz village. The two bedroom unit features two new, memory foam queen beds, a granite and stainless kitchen with seating for 4 indoors and a deck with outdoor accommodations. Rainshower heads and radiant-heated marble floors add coziness to the bathroom. There is a comfortable, 3-seater leather couch perfect for naps or a friendly sleepover. Brand new heating and AC keep the space comfortable year round. The television in the living space is wifi compatible and the house has internet service for your convenience. Full of local inspiration from the nearby lakes and mountains, the decor is serene and laid back with a distinctly New Paltz vibe.

The cedar backyard is peaceful and full of birds, including cedar waxwings, cardinals, robins and mourning doves. There is a wildlife sanctuary nearby if you are into catching a glimpse of great blue herons fishing and tons of other animals along the Wallkill River. The backyard is shared by both bungalow units and features a super comfy hammock for daydreams and twilight time.

Guests have full, private access to their individual unit (there are two), and shared access to the acre of backyard property and parking area.

The Bungalows have a park pass good for access to Minnewaska State Park and Peter's Kill areas. Please inquire ahead of time to see if it is available for your use during your stay.

The Bungalows are a mile from the heart of New Paltz village, which is full of great dining, shopping, SUNY New Paltz, complete with its own art gallery/museum and so much more. A quick 10-15 minutes will get you to world-class hiking, rock climbing, mountain swimming in glacial lakes and scenic drives along the Shawanagunk Ridge, including Minnewaska State Park, the Mohonk Preserve, Mohonk Mountain House, Sam's Point & more. Historic Huguenot Street, the oldest street in America, is right down the road and exploring its settlements and cemetery make for a fascinating day.

We are also 10 minutes south of Rosendale and a short drive further to the hamlet of High Falls. Both have excellent historical sites, dining, walking trails and swimming. The Widow Jane Mine in Rosendale is an exciting and unique trip a few minutes away into the past when it was a major source of cement for the building of many famous NYC landmarks. Visitors today explore its remains and it holds occasional events such as concerts and art installations.

The house is also about a 10 minute walk to the Wildlife sanctuary on Huguenot Street, where herons, swans, muskrats, hawks and bluebirds abound. World-class birding can also be found in nearby Wallkill, where the Shawanagunk Grasslands NWR hosts hundreds of species, including migrating owls. Majestic hawks soar over this lovely area and deer, fox, rabbits, and even bears are prevalent in the woods.

First, I have to say that Ami is a very helpful and responsive host! Never had to wait long for a response and the responses were always friendly and detailed.
Second, the jacuzzi and the sauna and the beautiful view over the valley and to the mountain are absolutely the reason to go here. Awesome and so soothing and peaceful. Beautiful! We didn't have a chance to do any hiking unfortunately as we had to cut our trip short due to a family emergency, but hope to come again soon.

My husband and I had a great time for New Year at Ami's place. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need and it's in a perfect location where you can easily get to most trails and also in a walkable distance from town. The most memorable were the views of nature, such as mountains, trees with a variety of birds (red cardinals, ducks, tree sparrows and many others) as well as the hot tub from where you can either watch the birds, the stars or just enjoy the peacefulness.
As per the description, we were greeted with fresh oranges and a homemade kombucha, which is the best one we ever had.
Another highlight is the infrared sauna. After spending 2.5 days, we were recharged and we definitely would like to be back!

My partner and I wanted to have a short getaway to enjoy some peace and the beauty of Autumn in New York. We're very happy we got to stay here. As soon as we drove up to the driveway we felt comforted by the greenery of the front yard, and the view from the back porch was spectacular. The studio itself had a warmth we felt immediately upon entering. The lighting, the furniture, the scents, and the cleanliness was all so welcoming. Ami goes above and beyond with providing delicious kombucha, fruits for fresh juice, and plenty of other snacks. There are also free day passes to Mohonk Preserve, which is just a few minutes' drive away, and we enjoyed a beautiful hike there. The town of New Paltz was also very convenient for us to get the groceries we needed for our stay. We were able to meet Ami before checking out; he was friendly and warm, and we certainly wished we could have stayed for another day or two. We highly recommend Ami's place for anyone looking to stay in the area!

Owl Wood cabin is nestled in a forest glen on Stone Mountain Farm. Miles of hiking trails, flower filled fields, cliffs, ponds, streams and a mini Stone Henge are all a stones throw away. A diverse valley, one mile long and half a mile wide, there's plenty of privacy but lots of room for adventure- At any time you may discover a group of children building fairy houses, stumble upon a flying trapeze or Tai Chi Class class, or wander into the Rail Trail cafe for music under the trees.

The space
This is a comfy off grid cabin- Glamping- So like camping with a real bed and a few other amenities. There is electricity but no running water, that means camp toilet, camp sink and camp shower (In the winter months its too cold to shower outside, so its really only good for short stays where you don't plan on showering in the cold months. We do provide water and you can heat it on the stove but this is not a regular house. We hope to add a bath house nearby with showers and toilets but for now its rustic, comfy and for the adventurous.

Nestled amongst the trees below Bonticou Crag this is a great base camp for climbing, hiking and biking. Five minutes from New Paltz; I do recommend having a car to access the area. Shared yard and fire pit right outside. My family and I live in the main part of the house.

The outside area and house are still under construction, I’m working on it but its not put together yet. The apartment and inside area are clean and newly built with their own mini split and air circulation.

The Property: The house is set on approximately one acre with beautiful old trees and occasional wildlife sightings such as great blue herons, fox and sometimes even bald eagles soaring over. Although the parking lot accommodates office parking, the atmosphere is tranquil and welcoming.

I have a sitting room with couch, coffee maker, microwave mini fridge and a bedroom, both private with a private entrance as well. In season, an outdoor shower is available along with the back yard.
I now have a TV in the sitting room which is Guest enabled. If you have your streaming channels password for basic channels, you can log in. All data is deleted upon your departure.
The door in the sitting room that leads to my personal quarters is locked, so that guests have complete privacy.

In addition to the bedroom with a queen size bed, I have a sleeper couch in the sitting room if needed for an extra guest.

Victorian Haven is located near the Shawangunk Mountains that extends for over 20 miles and reaches 2,200 feet in height at Sam's point, the highest elevation on the ridge. In addition, the Wallkill River provides unspoiled and picturesque spots for hiking, fishing and/or picnics. Gardiner has a beautiful rail trail that follows the path of the 1860's railroad and provides a great opportunity to hike, bike or ski.

Please note that the property is off of a private dirt road that you should drive VERY slowly down for your safety.

We would like to make you aware before booking during the winter months, that even when the private country road is plowed during the winter season, there is a possibility that the road sometimes will be slippery and icy. Please make sure that one knows how to drive in the snow and that you should have the proper vehicle for these conditions (Front or Four wheel drive). We cannot predict nor be responsible for hazardous condition on this road.

Please park on the left side of the driveway in front of the yellow-lined parking block. This parking spot is adjacent to the walking path to the tiny house, which is on the left side of the garage. The tiny house is about 100ft from the driveway. An aluminum cart is provided to move a lot of luggage. The cart is located on the side of the garage--on the way to the tiny house. The garage has a nice floodlight, but the path to the tiny house isn't illuminated (future plans are in place to add lights along the path). Please use your phone's flashlight or stop by the main house if you need a flashlight.

Other things to note
1. Stairs are steep and have alternating treads; easier than a ladder.
2. Kitchen is fully equipped but no oven.
3. Tiny house=tiny water heater: expect short showers. Hot water replenishes within approximately 20 minutes.
4. Composting toilet is user-friendly: just cover your business with sawdust; between sawdust and exhaust fans, odors are not an issue.
5. Quality coffee grounds available for each morning.
6. Buy firewood in town to burn in our fire-pit area.

The apartment has its own entrance in front of the house, and another back door leading to the huge back yard, and your own patio with a dining table and chairs. It is on the ground floor of the house, with an amazing yard view. There's also a hammock and swingset in the yard.

The space has two rooms: a large main space with a king bed and living area, and a separate queen bedroom with its own TV. There is an additional padded cot in the closet.

The kitchen area has a small stove, microwave, toaster, sink, pots, pans, good knives dishes, a fridge - everything you need for cooking!

There's a coffee bar and we provide coffee pods, tea, sugar and creamer. Our entire house has filtered water with a top quality carbon filter.

There's a long wood café countertop chairs facing the beautiful back yard. It is a tranquil spot for reading, working, or just gazing at nature.

There’s a 40” TV enabled with Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime for cozy evenings. This can be viewed from the King bed and the sofa. There's also a second TV in the smaller bedroom.

The bathroom is small, but newly renovated. It features a shower, quality towels, soap/shampoo, hair dryer, and first aid kit.

We are located very close to many towns and sights of the Hudson Valley: Minnewaska and Mohonk hiking, climbing, and swimming; New Paltz and Kingston shopping, movies and cafes; Historic houses of Huguenot Street and Hyde Park; walkway over the Hudson, River to Ridge trail, orchards, farms, and even malls.

In Summer, we have an 18 foot round (3.5 ft deep) above ground pool available for use during daytime hours.

Just 10 minutes from Thruway Exit 18, 1.5 hours from New York City by car or bus, you will be 1 mile from New Paltz (3 minutes by car, 20 minute walk) and 2 miles from the Mohonk Preserve, close to everything the Husdon Valley has to offer.

The home is a simple but very pleasant ranch on a property full of shade trees, on peaceful cul-de-sac between rail trail and historic Huguenot Street. Picnic table out front; large deck overlooking the back yard and rail trail. Super friendly, safe neighborhood. Everything's in easy walking distance via the Rail Trail or historic Huguenot Street.

You're welcome to use the kitchen to brew coffee or tea, use the fridge, heat up food in the microwave. Please no full-fledged cooking on the gas stove.

Other things to note
Free cancellation with minimum of 48 hours notice. According to AirBnB, a "moderate" cancellation policy requires you to cancel with at least 5 days' notice in order to get a full refund. However, If you need to cancel, let me know by 12 noon, at least two days before your arrival day, and I'll refund 100% of your money, regardless of AirBnB's moderate cancellation policy.

There is free, off street parking. However, if you arrive in any kind of vehicle weighing more than 5,000 lb it must be parked on the street across from the two mailboxes because vehicles of extra heavy weight are wrecking the driveway.

We are steps away from the Wallkill Rail Trail. At the foot of bonticou crag and the shawanguck mountain range, between New Paltz and Rosendale. Across the road from the Wallkill River on the Scenic Springtown Road. Close to Mohonk Preserve, Close to Minnewaska State Park and much more.

The Motor Home is an apartment with all you need for your stay. A Queen size Bed, full bathroom with amenities, fully equipped kitchen, dining area and living room area. Tv in the front room is a smart tv. Tv in the bedroom is not cable ready, but there is a DVD and CD Player attached to the bedroom TV. Wifi is also available. You will have an outdoor table with chairs along with a grille. You will have a fire pit. You will also be able to use our 36'x18' salt water pool in season, that is lit for night swimming and with solar blanket keeping it warm.

Other things to note
Be aware that we have two very friendly dogs and two friendly cats. My daughter, who lives in the apartment over the barn also has a very friendly dog. Again, your privacy and quiet enjoyment of your apartment is of the utmost importance and our critters will not bother you, unless you wish to interact with them. The property is on a 6 beautiful acres of untouched nature, in full view from the Studio's wide-windowed spectacular, quaint but luxurious feel.

Located down a lengthy driveway off a very quiet local road, our neighborhood (perfect for walks) is remote yet minutes to everything.

This Studio is located on the second level of our home and has it's own, private interior entrance. Once you enter the semi-private exterior entrance to the house, you will enter a charming back hallway that is closed off from the main house and where your private entrance to the Studio is. When you enter this private entrance there is a carpeted stairway to the Studio (please remove shoes at the bottom of the stairs!).

The pool is open seasonally. Guests will have access. It is shared with the owners.

The space
The Kerr’s have brought their love of Paris and their visits there to New Paltz. The colors and passionate spirit of that grand city are reflected in the TreeHouse, as well as treasures from artists found while walking the vibrant streets of that grand city.

The Treehouse is perfect for a single guest or a couple. There is a separate entrance for privacy and a seventeen by six foot rooftop deck to enjoy the treescape in the summer and foliage seasons, and sunsets over the Shawangunk Ridge in winter and spring. Medium firm mattress with cooling pillow top, many pillows, cotton blanket for summer, down comforter for cooler nights, and a sherpa and velvet heated throw. Added for winter but also nice to have on cool evening is a cozy electric fireplace.

The Treehouse strives to be more than a place to sleep. If you’re looking for a place that will move your heart as well as place to call home while staying in New Paltz please consider The Treehouse. You will be welcomed by lovely music as you enter from the Amazon Echo left for our guests to enjoy, lights warmly lit, and a soft scent from the natural sachets (fragrance sensitive...let us know before arrival, the sachets will be removed.) We strive for a warm, welcoming, artistic atmosphere with music. The space does not have a TV. There is good WiFi with password in the guest book, which we encourage you to connect to if you chose.
We do now as we always have thoroughly clean between guests. All surfaces in the bathroom and kitchen are wiped down with disinfectant.

There is a fully equipped galley style kitchen with a top of the line Breville counter top oven, Cuisinart induction cook top, cookware, Capresso coffee maker and Nespresso espresso maker stocked with coffee, espresso, local tea, half and half, & juice in the fridge, Biscoff Belgium coffee cookies and fruit on the counter, high end toiletries - EO French lavender body wash and Hask Argan oil shampoo and conditioner.
On a practical note there is an on site generator ensuring continuous power during storms and a heat pump/A/C with individual control.

Just minutes from the village center, at the end of a quiet cul de sac, the light changes as you enter through a dappled canopy of hundreds of mature trees. The Wild Maple Creek Suite features two large connected rooms and a bathroom in an open layout with views of the woods all around. 2m to Downtown shops or Rail Trail (River to Ridge), 5m to Mohonk, 18m to Minnewaska. **Note this is a private suite w/private entrance within a family home. We support real people not management companies.**

The space
The first room includes a kitchenette nook (no kitchen sink, but water provided), dining area, twin size daybed/sofa, and a large workspace for remote work. The second room area (there is no door between the two rooms only an archway) includes a comfortable queen size bed, a dressing area that can be closed off to create a private spot for changing or a great place for a travel crib, and a sliding glass door to a large deck surrounded by flowering bushes and woods. Eat takeout on your private deck surrounded by nature.
Please note that there are kids here and you may occasionally hear kid noise when the kids are downstairs or piano/cello practicing if you are here during the day.

Relax and unwind in our bright and private 2BR apartment located at the edge of Unison Arts Center’s sculpture garden (paths through woods and fields). A mile from New Paltz on the way to Mohonk Preserve, this simple but comfortable space features work by local artists and regional photographs. One of the bedrooms has an additional half-bathroom with a hand-made mosaic. Guests have their own entrance.

The space
The two upstairs bedrooms have quality beds, one has a queen and the other a king-size bed. The living room has a couch that folds out into a full bed that is best suited to kids. Additional twin floor mattress and a crib can be provided upon request. All bedding and towels are provided.
The apartment has its own entrance off the back deck of the house, and its own part of the deck with a table and chairs, looking into the woods, an ideal spot to have your breakfast or dinner.
There is a small but well-appointed open kitchen in the apartment for you, with a stove, refrigerator, and oven, as well as essentials like coffee, tea, oil/vinegar, pots/pans and cutlery. Our entire house has filtered water with a top quality carbon filter. We don't provide breakfast, but there is a large farm stand nearby that has a wide variety of produce and groceries; as well as a big supermarket 7 minutes away.
There’s a 50” Fire TV enabled with Netflix and Amazon Prime for cosy evenings.
From early June into September, the pool is available for use during daytime hours. It is shared with house residents, but guests can request a 1-hour slot per day to have it alone. It is an above-ground 18 foot round (3.5 ft deep) pool.
The bathroom includes towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner. This is an older house, and parts of it have been renovated while other parts are original, so some of it is more "rustic," but we love it. It is truly comfortable and homey, and a great place to relax and enjoy the best of this region.

The apartment is attached to a house where we reside, and the deck is a shared space, though you have a section with your own table and chairs. The spaces have considerable privacy, but you may occasionally be able to hear our TV as there is a shared wall between the living rooms. The bedrooms do not share any walls with the main house so there is total privacy for the sleeping areas.

Just across the lawn is the entrance to Unison Arts Center’s sculpture walk, with both permanent and rotating exhibits of over 50 sculptures.

You will be just a short drive from many towns and sights of the Hudson Valley: Minnewaska and Mohonk hiking, climbing, and swimming; Rosendale and New Paltz shopping, movies and cafes; Historic houses of Hugenot Street and Hyde Park; walkway over the Hudson, River to Ridge trail, orchards, farms, and even shopping malls.

Just 10 minutes from Thruway Exit 18, 1.5 hours from New York City by car or bus, you will be 1 mile from New Paltz (3 minutes by car, 25 minute walk) and 2 miles from the Mohonk Preserve, close to everything the Husdon Valley has to offer.

It's the perfect retreat for a couple or solo traveler. This is a studio cabin with kitchenette and shower and bathroom.

TRAVEL:
If you are coming from the city, we recommend the NY Trailways bus that goes direct between Port Authority bus terminal in NYC and New Paltz. I like the bus because it is direct and if not in traffic is only 95 minutes and drops you off at a 5 min walk from the pad! It’s about $25 each way. There are 2 stops in New Paltz (sometimes 3). Be certain to get off at the Trailways Station on Main St.

Nerdy Bus Pro Tips:
There are a lot of buses during rush hour and usually plenty of capacity. Check the schedules online by selecting the date or give them a call (they actually pick up the phone). Keep in mind it is first come first served so you could get bumped if the bus is super full. So get to the station a bit early to buy a ticket and queue for the bus (tickets bought in person are valid in either direction for any schedule... online tickets are actually schedule specific even tho they can bump you if it’s too busy). The gate in port authority is usually 32, downstairs.

The apartment is steps away from the Mohonk Preserve Gatehouse and is a few minute walk to hiking and biking trails. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets). This apartment is located in the back of a main house ( where a family and pup live) in a beautiful location. You will find all of your cooking needs, as well as smart television in an open living space with an attached railroad style bedroom off the back of the space with a full sized comfortable bed.

The space

Directions- Google Map will get you here easily. If you are coming from NY87 take Exit 18. Once you get off the Thruway and go through the tolls you will take a left that will take you through town. You will drive through town and take a right onto Gatehouse Road, it is a couple miles after the bridge once you leave town. The house will be on your right when you turn onto Gatehouse Road. Just keep an eye for the mail box, it is black and some trees tend to cover the number a little bit. A cab from the bus station is only about $6.

Parking-Please always park in the right most space during your stay. The driveway is easy to back out so long as you use your side mirrors. That will be your space during your entire stay. Please remember there are kids at the main house. Please drive slowly into the driveway as sometimes the kids are on their bikes. They are also VERY friendly, feel free to say hello.

Finding the Apartment-If you are looking at the house, the path to the apartment is on the right of the house. You will see a path with lights and a small deck.

Self-Check in starts at 3 PM- You are welcome to come whenever is best for you starting at 3pm! I will not be waiting for you, you will have the flexibility to come when works for you. The key will be in the door ready for your arrival!

Self Check Out 11 am-No need to check out with me upon departure. Please leave the key in the door of the apartment and you can be on your merry way! When checking out please turn off the air conditioner or lower heat to 55 degrees. If you have time please throw all towels used in bathroom and kitchen into the washer and take out the trash and recycling. If your in a rush and don’t have time we understand that too, it just makes change overs smoother for us.

Keys-Please note that it is very easy to get locked out of the house, please double check if the door is locked before you shut it. If you do get locked out I have left a hide-a-key under the table on the deck, it is magnetic.

Bathroom Needs Etc.- There are some toiletries in the cabinet in the bathroom for your use as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. Please use any towels and bedding and a hair dryer that is in the white cabinets by the bathroom.

Laundry-There is a washer and dryer is for your use if you need. You will see some dryer sheets and detergent by the white cabinets.

Dog-As a reminder, there is a dog at the homeowner’s main house. She is friendly but loves to bark and get very close to cars as they drive up. I promise you, you will not run over her, just keep driving. Also she gets very happy to see visitors, please open the driver side door as soon as you drive up so she will not scratch your door. Her name is Pika for the record.....she really is sweet.

Before Leaving for the evening- The motion activated porch light is taped so it stays on. It is the light switch to the right of the main door. That switch next to it also turns on the power to that wall on, feel free to leave that on as well.

Cooking- Please feel free to use the kitchen as much as you want. I have most of the cooking necessities you need. You will see oils and spices in the cabinets and some dry goods as well as all cooking essentials in the island. Feel free to use the few condiments in the fridge.

Clean up- Please treat this as your kitchen, please rinse off the dishes so food is not out and clean up after yourself appropriately.

Recycle and Trash-The trash is all the way to the left of the sink in the drawer. Please put all recycling directly under the sink in the small garbage can. You can throw trash in the trash cans by the shed by the parking area.

Deck-Please feel free to use the deck and outdoor area. I have put bug spray and a lighter for the candles and tiki torches by door.

WIFI- Network- MyspectrumWIFI10-2G Password-bluelawn865 if you are having connection issues with it please text me. The router is in the main house and I can reset it if need be.

TV - There is a Smart TV for you to use. There is no cable. I have Netflix logged in and you are welcome to watch.

Heat- The thermostat is by the closet in the living area. Please set it to what you are comfortable at. Please turn it to 55 on your departure. There is a separate thermostat in the bathroom if you need it, please just turn this off when it is not in use. There is also a heat pump in the kitchen, that is what the remote it for. If you need additional heat you can use that as well.

AC, Fans and windows open- There is a AC unit above the cabinet, the remote to control it is on the wall. Please leave turn it off when you leave the apt. There are fans throughout the house, please feel free to use them and keep them on. Also it does cool off at night, feel free to open the Windows, however please do remember you are in the woods and in nature, there are some spiders and bugs...... no matter what they will be around.

Guests have their own entrance and will be given a key upon arrival. The room has one queen bed, dresser, side tables and a reading space. There is a small mini fridge, microwave, hot pot, and coffee maker in the suite. You have your own private bathroom and spa shower attached to the suite. There is a washer and dryer in the space if needed.

Guests have use of the outdoor space that includes the patio, seating, propane fireplace, and hot tub. Our family lives on the other side of the home, but when guests are here we respect your privacy. These spaces are not shared during bookings.

Other things to note
Our home is a split level. I live on one side with my family and guests have access to the other side of the home. The unit has been inspected by the Town of New Paltz and licensed as a short term rental unit. It has been inspected for all safety measures and the certification is hanging in the suite.

There is sound proofing on the stairs for the upper level of the home. Quiet hours (after 11pm) are observed by the entire household. You will hear activity in the home during your stay because of the layout. Thank you in advance for understanding since we live here too!

This is a 2 room suite, with a queen bedroom, living room with pull out couch and private full bathroom. The suite is an extension on our family home, and has a completely private entrance and patio. Perfect for families who need an extra room for the kids, or anyone seeking more space than a standard hotel room.

Your suite is stocked with cotton linens, blankets, towels, bathroom essentials and ample storage. Also included, are a Keurig coffee maker, hot water kettle, tea, a mini fridge, bottled water, a pack-n-play, local interest books, magazines, a smart TV and Wi-Fi. You can stream to the TVs with your WiFi connected device. There is also a portable desk and chair you can use to get work done.

Our central, Village of New Paltz location can bring some rare noise from the nearby College students. But, it is truly rare - our family, including young children, have never had an issue. We provide white noise machines in the suite if needed.

The space
This fantastic and immaculately clean suite sleeps four adults extremely comfortably. Each room has a door with a shared spa bathroom. The King master bedroom has spectacular views of the Shawangunk mountain range and stunning garden views. This bedroom has a full closet, plush oversized chair and ottoman, stunning local art work and door for privacy. Beautifully restored barn wood floors are found throughout the entire suite.

The sunroom, main suite entrance, has a queen futon and ottoman which easily opens to a queen bed as seen in photos. Here you can enjoy the entertainment station including cable, Netflix, Hulu and BluRay DVDs. For your convenience you’ll find a new fridge, microwave, extra large toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker, electric water kettle, induction cooktop and buffet with dishes, silveware, coffee, tea and other basics to make a quick meal.

The newly renovated private bath includes subway tile surround and glass shower doors with spa shower head with multiple features. Top spa bath products, specialty toiletries items & Bamboo robes. Our private king suite has a private entrance from the main residence which gives guests their full privacy. Access to pool during the summer. The hot tub is also to relax and enjoy after a long day of hiking.

Close to Minnewaska State Park, Mohonk Preserve, and the historic Mohonk Mountain House. Hiking, biking, cross country skiing, ice skating, down hill skiing, rock climbing, horse back riding and many other recreational activities. The New Paltz area has some of the finest restaurants and wineries in the hudson valley. The area has something to do any time of the year.
