Only one mile from Beacon's thriving Main St yet completely secluded and away from any neighbors, this is a gorgeous guest suite on a private equestrian estate overlooking Beacon, the Hudson River and surrounding valley. Not only are you surrounded by amazing views, but the romantic horse barn houses your "roommates" 2 horses and 2 mini donkeys who will greet you coming and going. The suite is upstairs with windows that look down into the stalls. (the suite is specially designed to not smell). The evenings are spectacular with beautiful sunsets and sparkling lights from the cities below.
This luxurious suite has: 1 bedroom (California king bed and gas fireplace), spacious living room/kitchen area, red light therapy/yoga loft, and full bathroom. Wrap around balcony and North and South deck boasts: outdoor 7 person hot tub, grill and seating for the exclusive use of the suite guests.
The romantic bridal-inspired bedroom has a king bed, modern 3 sided gas fireplace, and glass sliders to a covered balcony with river views. Another sliding glass door leads you to your private hot tub on the covered deck and horse ring views. Vintage reclaimed barn wood adorn the vaulted ceilings. Relax in bed, watch Smart TV and enjoy the romantic fireplace or check out the window that peeks into the charming center aisle complete with views into the horse and donkey stalls.
The living room/kitchen area has a seating area for hanging out and watching Direct TV.
Sliders in the living room lead to the South deck with Weber grill, outdoor table and seating. Sliders in the front open to the covered balcony which lead you around to the North deck with the hot tub. Enjoy a glass of wine soaking in the private hot tub while watching the sun go down and the lights below begin to twinkle.
Underneath the North deck, you will find an outdoor ping pong table in the shade, complete with paddles, balls and scoreboard for your enjoyment.
The spacious bathroom has a double sink and walk in shower lined with handmade subway tiles.
In the kitchen, amenities include; new professional gourmet stove, microwave, crock pot, toaster and Keurig coffee maker. We provide complementary coffees and teas, fresh eggs from our chickens, as well as pantry items such as microwave popcorn, smores kit, granola bars and pancake mix.
Upstairs is a loft designed for improving the mind, soul and body. This little studio with wide oak floors is outfitted with yoga accessories such as mats, blocks, light weights, rollers and a stability ball so you can indulge in your favorite yoga and stretching routine. To go along with the wellness theme, we have built a full body red light therapy bed. Red light therapy works by using specific wavelengths of red light to penetrate the skin and stimulate cellular activity. This stimulation can lead to a variety of beneficial effects, including stimulating collagen production, which is essential for skin firmness and elasticity. Additionally, it can help with muscle recovery, reduce inflammation, and even offer cognitive and mental health benefits. Many professional athletic teams, such as the San Francisco 49ers, use this exact red light from JOOVV for their muscle recovery as well as many celebrities, like Jennifer Aniston, use this red light in their beauty routine to help keep youthful looking skin.
This mountain side setting backs up to 4,000 acres of protected forest land with hiking trails right from the door step. Hike up to the Beacon Reservoir, the Fire Tower with Manhattan views and/or the top of Mount Beacon.
For exploring the city, Beacon is full of shops, galleries and restaurants including The Roundhouse, Cooper's, Towne Crier and the Hudson Valley Brewery.
Easy access from NYC with the Beacon train station stop only 2 miles from this estate. Excellent place to stay for a romantic getaway, special occasion, engagements (we can help you set up) and photo shoots. Please ask us for more details regarding hosting a wedding, photo shoot or other event at Lambs Hill as we have separate pricing for events.
Due to the animals that live on our property, we have a strict no pets policy.
- "This mountain side estate does not disappoint! Breathtaking sunset views and nightly views of the city below are nothing short of a fairytale. The estate was incredibly clean and had no smell whatsoever from the "house mates" below. The horses and donkeys were so fun to greet coming and going. I was worried about flies, being over a barn, but I didn't see a single fly. We did have one issue arise that was no fault to the owner. We mentioned it to the caretaker, and she was prompt to get it resolved. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we have decided that a return visit is a MUST in the future."

- "The description of the house and the reality were absolutely in line. The house is a five minute walk onto Main St. I had several emails with the host- response was amazing and very helpful. as a result there were no issues. Our grandchild loved the playhouse in the back. the bbq was very nice. overall the place is great as a hub for the Hudson Valley. The only quibble is that as an older house the living room/sitting room area is a bit crowded. But given that we spent little time in the house other than eating and sleeping it really fit our needs. We would come back in a flash."

- "This home was a beautiful property in Beacon. It had spectacular views of the Hudson River and Mount Beacon. The beds were very comfortable which is important to me. The linens were also good. There was plenty of room for extended family to stay. We loved the dining room with plenty of room for all to sit. The outside deck, jacuzzi, and fire pit were such a bonus. The finished basement was a great place for the family to gather and enjoy all the amenities. By far, this was the best property I have rented with VRBO. The owner was amazing and so easy to work with as well as being responsive to any concerns."

Welcome to My Home in Dutchess Junction!
I’m so thrilled to welcome you to my cozy home in Beacon, New York. This is my primary residence—a little sanctuary I’ve poured my heart into. I’m opening my doors to you to share this space so I truly appreciate you choosing to stay here. I hope you’ll treat it with the same care I do, as it’s not just a rental—it’s my home sweet home!
About the House
This is my little slice of heaven in Dutchess Junction. The backyard is actually Hudson Highlands State Park. Listen for the wild turkeys in the mornings! You’ll have your own private bedroom with a lock, plus access to the shared living room, kitchen, and bathrooms. Please feel at home while keeping it tidy.
Bedrooms: Your room has a comfy bed, fresh linens, a nightstand, and a lamp. Extra blankets are in the closet if you get chilly.
Bathrooms: Towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and toilet paper are provided. Extra towels can be found in the closet to the left of the upstairs bathroom. Bathrooms are shared, so please leave it clean for the next person.
Kitchen: Feel free to use the fridge, stove, oven, microwave, and coffee maker. Pots and pans are in the bottom corner drawer; cutting boards to the right of the oven. You're also welcome to the extensive spice cabinet (please help me use it - I rarely cook!) Dishes and utensils are in the cabinets—just wash up after yourself, pretty please! Many of the dishes were hand-made by me! :) Please treat them with love.
Composting: There is a kitchen compost bin on the counter for food scraps. If it's full, you can bring it to the bin out in the front garden :) If you're renting the whole house, please do this before you leave.
Living Room: Kick back on the couch or watch some TV. I have a Roku TV with subscriptions to HBO Max and Disney+. The separate remote is for the surround sound speakers. Feel free to play the instruments and play the games!
Backyard: The backyard is technically public land, but it's just woods; no one will bother you! There are wild turkeys that live in the woods behind the house. You're welcome to use the fire pit in the back, you'll just likely need to bring your own wood.
House Rules:
NO SMOKING in the house, period.
No Parties or Extra Guests: I’m keeping things low-key since this is my home. Only registered guests (max 2 per room) are allowed—no surprise visitors, please.
Quiet Hours: After 10:00 PM, keep noise down—my neighbors are sweet, and I want to stay on their good side!
Clean Up: Wash any dishes you use and toss trash in the kitchen bin, recycling in the recycling bin.
No Pets: I adore furry friends, but I can’t accommodate them—sorry, puppers!
The basement and studio are off-limits—they’re where I keep my personal treasures. Please don’t try to access them.
Energy Savers: Turn off lights, heat, or AC when you head out—I’m on a tight budget, and every bit helps!
Shoes Off: If you don’t mind, leave muddy shoes by the door—keeps my floors happy.
If something breaks or you’re unsure about anything, just text me. I’d rather fix it than find out later—honesty is the best!
Fire Safety: Smoke detectors are in the hallway and kitchen. There’s a fire extinguisher under the kitchen sink—hope you won’t need it!
Exits: Front door and side door are your exits. Keep them clear, just in case.
First Aid: A small kit can be found in the downstairs bathroom cabinet—bandages and basics for minor oopsies.
Safe travels, and hope to host you again someday!
With gratitude,
Adriana

July 2023, reopened the Slumbering Bumble Bee!
My home has a beautiful view of Mt. Beacon and is quiet and tree-cradled. A healing oasis for you with the enticements of the town and surrounding country so close. Beacon is a walk or bike ride away-about a half mile. A free roam Angora bunny, Zorya, resides here with me and we create welcoming vibes.
The space
Welcome to The Slumbering Bumble Bee, named after one of the delights found in my garden. This is a lovely getaway from the city. Come and enjoy my home and find a healing arts environment full of warmth, charm, and its own magical quirkiness. I'm an eco, gluten-free, holistic-conscious woman.
Beacon is only an hour and a half drive north of New York City, and an easy 80-minute ride on Metronorth's Hudson Line. Beacon is a fabulous little river town with excellent shopping, museums (DIA Beacon), great restaurants and coffee shops, and music venues. There is also incredible hiking in the area, including Mount Beacon & Breakneck Ridge. Chapel of the Sacred Mirrors (COSM) is 15 minutes as well. We are also only 30 minutes from Storm King Arts Center.
It is a unique more private home. Walking distance from Main Street. Zorya, my free roam rabbit, is very present in the house, sometimes pieces of hay are too :)

A shared bathroom with a jet bathtub and a separate shower with 2 shower heads, and 1 rain shower. There is an extra bathroom in the basement downstairs for backup.
Minimal kitchen use is available: microwave, water kettle, dishes, filtered water, and refrigerator.
A cozy wood stove warms the living room in the colder months with a beautiful view of Mt. Beacon.
A large tree-filled yard with places to sit and picnic and a hammock.
Easy street free parking.
And a free roam mischievous English Angora rabbit.

Other things to note
My home is a work in progress. Lovely, cozy, funky, warm, and full of healing energy and it's getting better and better all the time.
I'm also an herbalist and have herbs and herbal concoctions, including jars, often everywhere which most guests tend to like but some may find it appears cluttered. I'm often busy in the kitchen or garden and fully live and work PT in my space. Zorya is a free roam rabbit so there might be hay pieces strewn around though I clean up after her daily.

With gratitude,
Adriana

Welcome to my home nestled on the ridge of Mt. Beacon in a small neighborhood known as Beacon Hills. We’re just around the corner from the Fishkill Ridge Hudson Highlands trailhead.
From the front window you can admire cardinals, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, black capped chickadees, white breasted nuthatches, and more.
This is a lived-in home. I’m here with my two dogs and a cat. *** Please read all details below. ***
The space
My home is in a beautiful area on the outskirts of the city of Beacon in a neighborhood called Beacon Hills. Here you can see the mountain glow when the sun sets! We are a 5-10 minute ride into town.
Common areas are shared with me, my pets, and an occasional house guest. There is a full kitchen, dining room, living room with wood stove (must be operated by me), TV, and plenty of books to read. The front porch is a relaxing place to rest and to have your morning coffee. Take a stroll through my native garden (or a guided tour by me) where you can explore a shade garden, a meadow, a woodland garden, and other habitats.
Cats are welcome but must be kept in the bedroom. I’m opening to discussing dogs, but one of mine is not very friendly so your dog wouldn’t be allowed in the common areas and we will need to be extra careful.
I do my best to keep the guest room animal-free in case anyone has allergies; I also have a HEPA filter.
The guest room and bathroom are on the first floor. Although the bathroom is not a private bathroom attached to the guest room, I spent the evenings upstairs and don’t use the downstairs bathroom during that time. There is an additional bathroom on the second floor. Both have a bathtub and shower.
The bedroom has a full size bed, tea kettle (with a tea selection), coffee maker, desk, (treadmill - not functioning right now), armchair, and a mini Bose speaker.
Full fridge of your own in the kitchen for you to use.
We are near the forest (Hudson highlands state park) so please keep in mind this is a home in a country setting: you’ll see some spiders and potentially other critters. I do my best to keep it clean but I just want to give you all the information up front!
If there’s anything else you need while you’re here, let me know and I’ll do my best to accommodate 😊
Guest access

During your stay
I’m available for questions, recommendations, etc - please don’t hesitate to let me know if you prefer little interaction. I won’t take it personally!
Other things to note
Important information to read prior to booking:
1. I have two dogs and a cat. If you like animals, this is a great place for you. If not, I would reconsider - I prefer to be transparent. The dogs do bark, not incessantly, but probably a few times per day. I will be conscientious of your sleeping hours and other times you need quiet.
2. This room is on the first floor, close to the front door (entrance to home) so you will hear the door open and close. I typically take the dogs out for the last time at night between 9-11pm and in the morning from 8-10am (typically). I also have another listing that is on the third floor, and if that might be better, I can send that listing to you.
3. This is an energy-conscientious home. When not at home, I keep the heat at 60-62. When home, between 64-66. I often light up the wood stove on the first floor which warms up the living room, kitchen, and dining room.
There is an oil-filled space heater to provide you with extra heat in your room.
4. My dogs are hound dogs and steal food very quickly. I ask that you keep all food on the counter away from the edge (Solomon is a long dog and can reach pretty far!) and watch your food at the dining table as well. For food in your room, please keep it secured in a closed drawer or plastic container. In the event that you forgot to close the door, I don’t want the dogs to raid your food.
5. Sugar-free gum is poisonous to dogs.
Please keep your purse and other belongings secured.
6. Despite all the above notes, this is a warm & inviting place to live and I would be happy to host you! Thanks for reading :)
