Located in the vibrant mid-Hudson River valley community of Beacon, New York, this charming 530 square foot second floor apartment was painstakingly gutted, renovated, and furnished over the course of 3 years with careful attention to restoring the original character and ambience of this early 1800's brick farmhouse (e.g. original floors, exposed beams, exposed brick) but with the addition of modern amenities and furnishings (e.g air conditioning, fully applianced kitchen, wi-fi, custom tiled shower, heated bathroom floor, granite counters).

NOTE: No TV. Well-trained, friendly dogs allowed with prior approval of owner. (No cats, please. One of the owners is highly allergic to cats.)

We are located a short ( < 1 mile) walk to downtown Beacon and its wide array of boutique shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants, and local independent cinema; 1.1 mile walk to local supermarket (~ 25 minutes); and 1.9 mile walk (< 40 minutes) from MetroNorth train station. In addition, one of the main trailheads and parking lots to climb scenic Mount Beacon is only .4 mile (7 minute walk) from the apartment.

Stocked with quality cookware, cooking utensils, tableware and flatware.
The apartment is equipped with, comfy luxury king size bed, smart TV, dining area, heat, air conditioning and dehumidifier. Towels and linen are also provided.
This is a prime location, quiet and minutes away from all that Beacon and Fishkill have to offer. Hiking, Kayaking, Bars, Restaurants, Coffee Shops, Downtown and The Historic Scenic Hudson Valley.

You will be entering your Luxe apartment via private entrance from the front. the Luxe apartment is ground level. enter your pass code press the lever down and enter the apartment. Close the door and it locks automatically.

1. the switch for the bedroom light comes off the wall. once your in bed you can turn the light off and sit the remote on the night stand.
2. there are bins under the bed with supplies they are labled. the iron and iron board is there as well.
Living room
1. the lights are on the right behind the door once you come in. there on a dimmer.
2. the coat hooks are to your left past the curtains.
kitchen
1. The dishwasher holds 10in dishes max. soap tabs are provided.
2. Disinfectant soap is provided at the kitchen sink.
3. washing machine. The tabs are provided.
both of the dishwasher
and washing tabs sit on the top of the dishwasher.
Bathroom.
1. the lights are on a dimmer
2. disinfectant hand soap is provided, lotion and all in one body wash, shampoo and conditioner.

The apt has all you need to enjoy your time in Beacon. A work space desk in the living room high speed internet service and all the essentials that you need for a short or long term stay. The bedrooms are both spacious master bedroom is 16ft by 13ft and the other spare bedroom is 16ft by 11ft. Both bedrooms come with queen size beds and hypoallergenic bed sheets. Washer and dryer located right of kitchen. Cooking essentials included all stainless steel appliances. Both bedrooms overlook the beautiful scenic waterway/waterfall across the street.

About this space
Come enjoy our magical home in Beacon! 2-story, charming one-bedroom, one bathroom apartment in a duplex home. Large shared backyard, off-street parking. One block from Beacon's lively Main St. Half a mile from the beauty of the Hudson River and the Metro North station.

We live here part-time. There is ample space and empty furniture for you to use during your stay, but you may find some of our personal possessions tucked away.

Be our guest and be near all that the Hudson Valley has to offer!

The space
Wide plank hard wood floors throughout, wood beams, 2-story charming 1-bedroom, one bathroom apartment in a duplex home. Walk in closets, 2 decks, one off of the bedroom and one off of the living room. The top deck feels like you're in a tree house!!!

The XL Twin Rollaway bed will be set up for $15/night. Please request it so I know it needs to be set up. Thank you.

The Lotus travel crib can be set up, please request it when booking.

Guest access
You will have the entire apartment to yourself including the two decks. The backyard and parking are shared with the downstairs apartment. The host or other guests will be staying below in the other apt.

Other things to note
You must request the Lotus travel crib or the Rollaway Bed (XL Twin 5 in. thick mattress) at the time of reservation so it can be set up for you.

There is some construction that recently started up the street on Main St and sometimes can be heard from my property.

The woodworking in some of the interior doorways are rustic and unfinished wood. They could cause a splinter if a kid were to rub their hand against it. The home is not equipped with outlet covers and baby gates.

Any reservation longer than 28 days will be asked to provide a copy of ID and sign a lease. Longer stays may be asked for a deposit.

Due to health concerns, I am unable to host any animals and have an exemption with proper documentation on file.
