It's on the main road to the town, about a 10 minute walk (with sidewalks!), so we were able to enjoy the apartment, then walk to town for delicious dinners and fun shopping. Just a few blocks for restaurants and shops, this large 2 bedroom suite has a private entrance , off street parking, central air, high speed internet and is the only Village vacation rental with a heated pool and barbeque grill. The many Village restaurant's have outside eating areas. Enjoy Amtrak service, events at the Dutchess County Fair grounds, Historical site, the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, Ferncliff Forest and many other attractions. - "We stayed at Knick’s property for this whole month of July. I had tears in my eyes when we left. The downstairs apartment is about 5 blocks from the center of this elegant town. You cannot beat the location and there’s a heated pool for your use as well. Perfect for after hiking, shopping and eating all day! The only downside is there is one bathroom and it’s located inside the master bedroom. This made it difficult for us to have any adults stay in the 2nd bedroom. Other than that, the living room is quite large and comfy, the kitchen is compact but you shouldn’t be cooking on vacation anyway! I loved the place and would stay here again no question. Love to the “lady of the house” Diane, she helped w anything we needed and I’ll miss her like a friend. Thank you guys!"

The space
I offer a simply decorated 1 bedroom apartment in the village of Rhinebeck. Walking distance to the restaurants and shopping. The space is designed to be a serene get away for a couple to enjoy a private location in the Historic Village of Rhinebeck. There is one Queen size bed available. Outside, Landsmankill Stream travels the length of our property, so sit back and enjoy a tasty beverage at the provided table and chairs. Inside includes: Luxurious Queen Bed, 2 Flat Screen Smart TVs, a Full Kitchen, Bathroom, Kitchen table with 2 overstuffed comfy chairs, Gas Fireplace, fully loaded kitchen for the gourmets delight, washer and dryer are available. There is no additional charge for pets, we actually encourage them.

Other things to note
Fully loaded kitchen, start cooking as soon as you come in with your ingredients. I tried to think of everything so if I forgot something please let me know. The space will be cool, in the hotter months if you leave the blinds closed it will stay cool all day. I can and will be as flexible as possible with check in/check out times. Newly constructed & lovingly designed by its builder owner, great attention has been given to quality details designed to soothe your soul. Ideal for singles or couples of any orientation wishing to elegantly commune with nature with all the comforts of home.

The space
You are invited to enjoy this newly created studio apartment, far away from any crowds, filled with thoughtful touches designed to make your stay soothing, relaxing, and comfortable. Nature is literally right outside your door, and can be enjoyed from the Adirondack chairs on your private deck. You will be located in the middle of our 5 acres of woods, which adjoins a Scenic Ridge Area, and all you can see are trees.

The apartment has its own private entrance located at the top of a flight of stairs. For those concerned with "social distancing" it is possible to arrange for self check-in using the keypad entry, the code for which is reset with each new guest. Separate from the main house, the apartment has been designed with privacy, yours and ours, in mind. My husband and I are experienced Airbnb Superhosts. We are mature and quiet adults residing in the main house, available to greet you and should anything unexpected arise, but otherwise doing our best to stay out of your way. Guests regularly report our apartment to be sparkling clean, and we thoroughly clean all surfaces, linens, blankets, and towels between each guests with bleach and a special high temperature sanitizing cycle on our dryer for those items for which bleach is not an option.

Conveniently located 3 miles from the Omega Institute, 4 miles from the historic village of Rhinebeck, 5 miles from the Dutchess County Fairgrounds, 4 miles from the Taconic State Parkway, 5 miles from two major supermarket chains, and 7 miles from the Amtrak train station. Also close to Bard College, the Culinary Institute, hiking, parks, wineries, swimming, antique stores, farmers markets, Walkway Over the Hudson, and the many historic homes along the Hudson River. Additionally, the villages of Woodstock and Hudson, and the Berkshire and Catskill Mountains are a short drive away. Although having a car is strongly suggested, for those of you traveling to the Omega Institute who will be without a car, we can provide daily transportation for a small additional fee.

The apartment and deck are yours to enjoy, but we ask you to respect the main house and the deck surrounding it as our personal space. Feel free to wander our woods, being aware that the stone walls are our property lines.

Other things to note
Please note that we live in a relatively rural area, and cell phone reception may be spotty, depending upon your carrier. WIFI service is available, and we have a landline should an emergency arise.

As is common in the country, I have a very long dirt driveway, steep at the beginning then leveling off as it meanders through the woods, and my house can't be seen from the road.

I would also like to also make you aware that the apartment is cooled by a ceiling fan. Window fans are also available. The large windows and French doors provide great cross ventilation. We have chosen not to have air conditioning in our main house as well, as we find most summer nights to be delightfully cool.

Lastly - I have a small border collie mix named Sage who lives in our main house. He comes to work with me regularly and is rarely unattended. Also, as a courtesy to our guests, he is not allowed into the apartment. However, on the chance that you may have any pet concerns I wanted to alert you to his presence, and feel free to discuss your concerns before you book.

We like to give guests their privacy, but also like to know who's coming. (This is our home, after all.) So when you put in a booking request, please give us your name, a little about what brings you and who's coming with. Then once you're here, we'll stay out of your air, unless you ask for restaurant recommendations or the low-down on the nearest grocery stores. (Then we're just a text/message away.)

Other things to note
We are a small farm and the animals make noises from time to time.
We do not allow pets any longer, the safety of our flock is paramount to us and even the best trained dogs may loose control being expose to free roaming farm animals, it is not a risk we are willing to take anymore.
We do not charge a cleaning fee, please be respectful of our home and clean up after yourself, we really appreciate it.

Just a few blocks from the center of Rhinebeck Village is the 1100 sq ft 2 bedroom suite. The private entrance leads into the kitchen dining and Livingroom area. There is a very large bedroom with a office area next to the bathroom. A long hall from the Livingroom leads to the second bedroom. The suit has wifi, cable tv and central air. There is a large deck to the heated pool. Easy walk to all Village attractions.
