You will have a private entry, bedroom and bathroom. The shower has great water pressure but it is a slender unit. The bed is a Queen size and extra blankets are available. The listing is in a walk out basement. It has no direct heat but since it is partially below ground it is usually not cold. There is an awesome space heater. I usually provide something to eat but it varies. There are great views of the Catskill Mountains and a small private outdoor seating area.

The space
Private bed and bath, with private entrance. Set in a rural area on a dead end road. Space is located 10 minutes from Bard, 15 from Omega, 10 minutes to Dutchess fair grounds and 2 minutes to Battenfelds Christmas tree lot.

This private, rustic 19th-century cottage is close by car to Rhinebeck, Red Hook and Tivoli, the Omega Center, Bard College/Fisher Center for the Arts, the Culinary Institute of America, the FDR Estate, Vanderbilt Mansion, and the Dutchess County Fairgrounds. Enjoy spectactular views of the stars at night. Bring the kids!

The space
Set in the rolling hills of Dutchess County farm country, this 19th-century cottage offers beautiful views. Relax with your family/friends in the open kitchen-dining-living room on the 1st floor. In summer, BBQ outside on the (small) patio with table & chairs. The cottage is filled with funky antiques, and sheepskins from the farm next door. You might occasionally see and hear roosters and hens.... As for other sounds, you will be on a country road with some traffic. There is Wifi but no TV. A/C is in the living room, master bedroom and 2nd bedroom but not the 3rd bedroom. There is no central A/C.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire cottage, parking space and grounds up to the fences separating the cottage from the sheep farm next door. Please appreciate that the grounds of the farm, a working farm, are not available for strolling. But there are many walking/hiking spots nearby. Ask me for tips on where to go....

Other things to note
Summer months: A/C units are located in the living room, master bedroom and 2nd bedroom but not the small 3rd bedroom, which has fans. There is no central A/C. Fall/Winter months: the cottage is fully insulated and heated. Also, the farm next door is home to many animals: sheep, hens, geese, dogs and cats. These are fenced off from the cottage, but occasionally some chickens and a cat or two might roam near the cottage. However, no animals are allowed inside the cottage. Anyone with a cat allergy, please take note.

The space
The guest house is part of a 3 houses property but is independent and is the only rental, the main house and the studio is for family use only.
The bedroom is on the second floor with a king bed, the first floor has an open plan with views of the lake, small kitchen and bathroom.
Opens to a large deck with BBQ, table, chairs and umbrella to enjoy the views.
The dock is a short walk from the house.

Guest access
We are 15mn from the Amtrak station, 25mn from Metro North. There is not buses or public transportation, but we have a local taxi company and Uber and Lyft are also available and should be planned in advance to avoid waiting around.

Other things to note
We have a generator and it will seamlessly turn on if we loose power.
If you wish to fish on the lake you will have to register for a NYS fishing license, it is very easy to do on line. (we have a couple fishing pole and a tack box you can use)
We have a large house dog called Nora and an orange cat, they are very friendly.

The space
This is a little studio cottage perfect for a couples retreat from the city.

The space has a bedroom and attached living room with two daybeds, equip for sleeping when necessary. **please let us know if you will need sleeping linens for the daybeds**

The bedroom space is in its own room however the living room and bedroom are connected without a door between. The bedroom has a queen bed and high quality linen sheets. Small desk / table area.

A newly installed wood stove provides extra heat and super cosy fall and winter evenings.

The bathroom is as old as the cottage and is not yet updated - however perfectly suitable and equip with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Shower only, no tub.

The kitchen has all basic cooking utensils, pots, pans, baking sheet and rice cooker. Nespresso and pods, French press and coffee.

Outside you’ll see the garden, shared with us, your very own patio equip with fire pit, and many animals.

The Gables of Rhinebeck, a 4-suite Inn located 1 block from main street. This Inn is a fifteen-gable 1860 Gothic Revival Victorian in the heart of Rhinebeck Village. Guests have full access to our half-acre fenced-in yard with perennial and ornamental gardens, + plenty of indoor space.
This suite, "Rockhouse" is a 2BR in it's own private corner of the Inn on the 2nd floor.

The space
What makes The Gables of Rhinebeck unique is our 1/2 acre outdoor space, gardens, and 4 Suite Victorian right in town. It truly is one of a kind.

Your rooms are upstairs in it's own corner of the house. Private! As guests, you have full access to indoor and outdoor common areas.

BREAKFAST: We offer fresh Hudson Valley fruit in the morning and a continental breakfast. Coffee is served at 7am and imported weekly from NYC's Mud Coffee shop in the East Village. For a full breakfast, we recommend Bread Alone restaurant, one block away from The Gables.

One parking spot in driveway available for these two rooms.

Guest access
Guests can access all common areas indoor and outdoor of the house. The dining room is available for eating or using as a work space. The living room is available to all guests for lounging and enjoying the Sonos. The Barn is available for summer time lounging as well

During your stay
On site hosts, John and Pam who live in the back apartment, are available upon request. They serve Mud NYC coffee in the dining room from 7-10am. Other than that, the house is open to all guests (4 Suites total) for sharing common areas indoor and out.
