Close to all the modern conveniences and yet tucked away, the Little House is a short walk from the Appalachian Trail on an historic property that twice hosted Mark Twain and family for the summer.

This tiny house is modern farmhouse chic. It was recently remodeled with custom cabinetry, all new appliances and fixtures, and is decorated in a classic style with vintage touches. It features a cozy bedroom, bathroom with shower and stacked washer/dryer, a work space, living room, eat-in nook for two, and a well-appointed galley kitchen.

LOCATION
The Little House is conveniently located 10 minutes from the Mass Pike, the Big Y grocery store (with multiple EV charging stations) and the Lee Premium Outlets. It is 15-20 minutes from historic Stockbridge, downtown Lee, and 20-25 minutes to Great Barrington, three towns with lots of cute shops and a variety of restaurants. Lenox, home to Tanglewood, Kripalu, and The Mount, is a 20 minute drive. Hikers will appreciate the close proximity to the Appalachain Trail, Tyringham Cobble, Ashintully Gardens and the McLennan Reservation. See below for all the nearby ski resorts.

SLEEPING
The bedroom is ideally suited for solo traveler or a couple. There is one queen bed, an armoire, desk and chair. The bed is appointed with Annie Selke bed linens and the new mattress is equipped with a heater for those cooler nights.

LIVING AREA
The living area features a high back love seat, a club chair, and side tables. It's the perfect place for reading and unwinding with a hot cup of tea or coffee.

KITCHEN
The kitchen features custom cabinetry and Taj Mahal quartzite countertops. It is well appointed with basic tools and items for cooking. It is equipped with new appliances including a Smeg vintage-style refrigerator/freezer, an electric stove and oven, a Bosch dishwasher, and a Keurig coffee machine. There is olive oil, salt & pepper, as well as a selection of teas and coffee for the Keurig.

BATHROOM
The bathroom features a pedestal sink and a corner shower (note that is is a small space with a single person shower). The 40 gallon hot water tank is sufficient but not generous. Guests are provided with fluffy towels and waffle robes. The bathroom has a stacked GE washer/dryer to keep your clothes clean.

WIFI AND CELL SERVICE
Wifi is provided by Spectrum high speed internet. There is no tv, but you can stream on your laptop. Note that cell service can sometimes be spotty in the Berkshires, especially in the valleys.

The Little House is all yours, and we encourage you to walk around the property and take advantage of the magical screen porch on the back of the Big House. The screen porch is a great place to take your morning coffee or have a drink in the afternoon. Fauci may join you on the porch. If it is warm, feel free to turn on the ceiling fans, or light a fire in the wood stove on a cool night.

Other things to note
If you are so lucky as to wake up in Tyringham on one of the mornings when the volunteer firefighters cook breakfast down at the pavilion, don't miss it! The pavilion is less than one block away - take a left on Main Road - and the cost is $10 for all you can eat. The sausage and pancakes are to die for! These breakfast are typically on the Sundays closest to the 4th of July and Labor Day, but dates can vary. Ask your hosts for an update.
