All the details:
The property is set out over 2 floors of a detached guesthouse on the owner's stunning 5 acre property. The primary bedroom occupies the ground floor of the chalet. The beautifully decorated bedroom has a queen bed with Tuft & Needle mattress and Brooklinen sheets. A folding, full-sized crib is tucked away inside a spacious closet.

Upstairs guests will enjoy panoramic views over the meadow, pond and forest which make up the chalet's idillic property. Inside, the open living, dining and kitchen area are centered around a gas fireplace. There is a full kitchen complete with stove, oven, microwave, toaster, fridge, freezer, coffee grinder, coffee maker and reverse osmosis (RO) drinking water system.

The living area has a sectional sofa and comfy arm chair set around the fireplace and smart-TV. In addition to all the streaming services, we also have Direct TV Stream, where you can catch most of your typical cable and local channels in real-time. There are board games and a record player as well.

Need extra sleeping space? The living space can be transformed in an instant into a cozy second sleeping area by simply opening up the Murphy bed. The bed has the same queen Tuft & Needle mattress as the downstairs bedroom.

The bathroom and shower are located just off the living area on this upper floor.

The upper floor opens onto an expansive terrace complete with a Weber gas grill and a cozy seating area. This is the perfect place to enjoy morning coffee, glass of wine or a full BBQ meal.

The chalet has high-speed wifi (150-250 Mbps) and air conditioning.

Nature has been generous to the Chalet's peaceful property. The sprawling meadow and dense forest beyond transport guests to a place of privacy and relaxation. Tucked under the deck is an outdoor shower. A few yards away is a fire pit (fire wood is provided), complete with Adirondack chairs.

Speaking of Mother Nature, the Chalet is prepared for whatever she has in store. The entire property has a backup generator in the event of a power outage. The internet will also work in the event of a power outage and/or bad storm as it is the high-speed Starlink satellite system.

Guests will have access to the entire guest house and outdoor property, including the fire pit.

Other things to note
Please note that our home is in the mountains and in a very rural area. We share our mountain with all of the woodland creatures that inhabit the area. Guests MUST not leave any food or trash outdoors. If you use the grill, it must be cleaned and covered before you go to bed. Black bears, coyotes, raccoons and other animals live in these mountains and are masters at sniffing out food.

Also, in the winter, our road gets plowed after significant snow events (over 3"). We highly recommend that our guests travel to the Chalet in vehicles that are equipped to handle winter in the mountains (all wheel or 4x4 drive).

Additional visitors and guests not part of the booking are not permitted unless approved by the hosts.

NO SMOKING OF ANY KIND IS PERMITTED INSIDE THE CHALET.

Please do not charge your electric cars using our house power. There is a charging station at Windham Mountain for your convenience.

Tap water is clean and safe to drink but we also have an RO system in the kitchen.

For those staying 5 nights or longer will need to discard of their own garbage. The waste station is right in town, about 10 minutes away (and is on the way back to the throughway). For shorter stays, our cleaning staff will take care of it.

Inflatable pools are not permitted. Because of our water system we have to be cautious about our water usage.

Cell service is a bit sporadic. WiFi (2G and 5G) is very strong and FaceTime Calling is an option as well. We activate wifi calling on our own phones which works very well.

Please note that there is not a Washer/dryer nor is there a dishwasher.

All guests will be held responsible for damaged items or if additional cleaning services might be required post your stay but we don't like doing this so please take care of our little piece of heaven.

Please remember this isn't a hotel and we are not a massive operation; it is our home that we've worked so hard on so take care of it as you would your own.
