Steps from the Mountain! Just 1 mile away with a crisp mountain view, our beautiful chalet is a mere 5 minute drive from the slopes of Windham and just 15 minutes from Hunter! A short walk or drive from the charming town of Windham, the cute mountain town itself has many great shops, restaurants and activities all within a short drive. Or just relax by the fire or with a view of the mountain from the hot tub (Winter only, tub is not active during the summer). Take the entire 2nd floor apartment of our wonderful chalet, a beautiful and sizable living space with a Smart TV (with Netflix, Prime and more) and a beautiful log fireplace, 2 full bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms (one en suite) and a full kitchen - everything you need for a stress free vacation. When you arrive, we will make sure there is coffee and tea in the kitchen and if you have any special requests, simply let us know and we'll do what we can to make them happen. There is a large garden that's just perfect to play some catch or build snowmen together with an unbridled view of the Windham ski area. There is a washer and dryer on the premises (ask us if you want to use), one car garage and private driveway. Sofas are not sleepers but could comfortably take an additional adult. You are welcome to park in the garage if it is not in use. Furry Friends are welcome for an additional fee. You have access to the entire first floor and garden. Garage is available for skis/snowboards. If we are not there you are welcome to use the garage. We will be available by email/phone if you have any questions and our property manager near by for anything urgent when we are not there. The historic town of Windham is an all season getaway. Known as the 'Gem of the Catskills', Windham is filled with exceptional eateries, speciality shops and is just moments away from a fantastic amount of both winter and summer activities, and just a short drive away from some of the most charming Hamlets New York has to offer. You have a huge variety of hikes available, though you will need a car if you're planning on going out of the town itself. Hot tub is not active during the summer months

- "House served its purpose for our needs. Convenient location in Windham." - "From indoor mice and flies to brown smelly water, to rotten food in cabinets, to no cell coverage, and more, this place needs a lot of help. The place is dirty. There was some rotten food in one of the cabinets that had been there a LONG time to the point that fruit flies were all over the place. There were dirty cabinets, old dusty cobwebs in the corners of the rooms, scummy interior of the fridge. My mother drew a bath and brown water came out of the faucet. The place is smelly. It has sulfur water which you cannot drink. If you rent this place, be sure to bring plenty of bottled water. The owners told us this but not until the day of travel, so it was difficult for me to prepare. The smell is very pronounced when running the dishwasher throughout the entire place. Bring scented candles or something like that. I did not shower the entire weekend because the water gets into your skin, and you can’t shake it. The place is not working correctly. The window crank in the kitchen was broken. Not too much of a problem since the weather wasn’t too cold. The fireplace flue was not working properly. Smoke from our fire got into the apartment and resulted in headaches and poor sleeping for our group. I would be cautious about having fires because perhaps the chimney hasn’t been swept in a long while and it could be dangerous. There is no cell coverage. Again, we were not told this until the day of travel. You are instructed to use Wi-Fi calling for phone calls but I didn’t know how to do this and I had to arrange this with my carrier ahead of time which I couldn’t. And of course, when the power went out (which it did on our first night) there is no possible way to communicate with the outside world. The straw that broke the camels back was the mouse that ran across the living room floor on Saturday night! Not much more to say there. Communication with the owner was poor as well. I reached out to the contact as instructed by EVOLVE to request the keyless entry info and they didn’t respond twice for over a week. I then tried calling twice and finally received the info. It would have been fine if they responded and said that they would send the info later but to have no response left me nervous prior to the trip."
