This is truly a unique experience where the space is actually a destination within itself. You will have access to my record collection. The records can be played on a real dj turntable and a incredibly vintage sound system. I was a DJ at The Pavilion in The Pines on Fire Island and a resident DJ at Splash in NYC. I will personally show you how to play records and will even DJ a secession for you if requested. The music genre includes disco, high energy, new wave, house, popular dance music and more. Including artist like Donna Summer, Gloria Gaynor, Madonna, Pet Shop Boys, Erasure and hundreds of more artists mainly from the years 1978 until 2004.
The yard which is one acre with 100s of acres of forest behind it, is beautifully landscaped with beautiful flower gardens personally planted by myself and a beautiful deck to sit and watch my paradise. I will personally bring you on tours of the gardens if requested. The space is in the lower level of my home and separate from my space. You have your own entrance, bathroom and shower. The main room is like a studio apartment, the bedroom and living room together. The next room has a table for eating or working at. This space also has a small kitchen space with a Keurig, dishes, glasses, flatware, mini fridge, microwave, and toaster oven. I supply K-Cups, teas, half & half, and water. There is a private bathroom with a shower. The washer and dryer are in a small open side room in this space. The yard is about an acre of property and you have full use of the yard and if you bring your dog they will just love running in the grass. To top it all off there is even a level 2 EV charger so when you arrive you can plug in and when you wake up in the morning you’re ready to go on your adventure for the day.

We are conveniently located, just a mile outside the Village of New Paltz. Outstanding restaurants, shopping, SUNY New Paltz (art gallery and theatre); just minutes away.
We offers amenities not found at most B and Bs, such as a heated swimming pool and hot tub.

The Minnewaska Room is on the second floor. It has a private entrance. large private deck with screened in gazebo and beautiful view of the pond and wildlife.

This is a 2 BR/2.5 bath Orchard Keeper's Apartment that occupies the entire second floor of the Marlboro Farmhouse that was built in 1873. We have lovingly renovated this property to provide a relaxing Hudson Valley getaway for your group.

Our farmhouse was built in 1873 on part of the original George Weigand homestead, settled in 1744. Nestled at the base of the Marlboro Mountains, the house is well set back from the road, with expansive lawns, a pond and meandering stream that flows through a mature birch grove.

We are lovingly restoring the landscape and gardens at the heart of this historic estate, which includes wetlands hosting many different species of native bird life, and a large reservoir where migrating Canadian geese, cranes, hawks, and other birds are commonly seen.

This completely private second floor apartment is filled with antiques, original details such as French doors, Bay Windows, and wide plank floorboards. We have lovingly curated several book collections so that you may sit in any of several sun-drenched spaces to read, relax, or enjoy conversation.

The open-concept kitchen is fully stocked for your stay at the farmhouse including coffee, spices, and cook books.

The master bedroom has been updated with a few modern touches and features the original floor boards, a queen bed, writing desk, vintage train trunk and fully renovated en-suite bathroom.

The double bedroom, complete with its own en-suite, has one king and one queen bed - great for families, kids, slumber parties, girls weekend getaways, (or the snoring couples of the bunch)...

There is plenty of outdoor space for grilling, picnicking, and entertainment. We have croquet, horseshoes, badminton and plenty of space for other lawn games.

The apartment is located at a lower (semi-basement) level of the raised ranch house. Each room including the kitchen and bathroom has windows. My mom, who is also a co-host, lives in the Upper Level and she is available to assist as needed.

The Kitchen has a dining area with a table for 4 people. It is equipped with everything you need to cook: pots and pans, salad bowl, oven baking dish, plates, cups, utensils.
There is a full size fridge, electrical range, microwave, toaster and a French Press. We also provide ground coffee, teas, sugar, salt, spices and oatmeal.

The living room has a sofa that can sleep 1 person (unfoldable) , TV, queen size bed, work table, shelves and hangers.

The bathroom has hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and body soap.

First, I have to say that Ami is a very helpful and responsive host! Never had to wait long for a response and the responses were always friendly and detailed.
Second, the jacuzzi and the sauna and the beautiful view over the valley and to the mountain are absolutely the reason to go here. Awesome and so soothing and peaceful. Beautiful! We didn't have a chance to do any hiking unfortunately as we had to cut our trip short due to a family emergency, but hope to come again soon.

My husband and I had a great time for New Year at Ami's place. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need and it's in a perfect location where you can easily get to most trails and also in a walkable distance from town. The most memorable were the views of nature, such as mountains, trees with a variety of birds (red cardinals, ducks, tree sparrows and many others) as well as the hot tub from where you can either watch the birds, the stars or just enjoy the peacefulness.
As per the description, we were greeted with fresh oranges and a homemade kombucha, which is the best one we ever had.
Another highlight is the infrared sauna. After spending 2.5 days, we were recharged and we definitely would like to be back!

My partner and I wanted to have a short getaway to enjoy some peace and the beauty of Autumn in New York. We're very happy we got to stay here. As soon as we drove up to the driveway we felt comforted by the greenery of the front yard, and the view from the back porch was spectacular. The studio itself had a warmth we felt immediately upon entering. The lighting, the furniture, the scents, and the cleanliness was all so welcoming. Ami goes above and beyond with providing delicious kombucha, fruits for fresh juice, and plenty of other snacks. There are also free day passes to Mohonk Preserve, which is just a few minutes' drive away, and we enjoyed a beautiful hike there. The town of New Paltz was also very convenient for us to get the groceries we needed for our stay. We were able to meet Ami before checking out; he was friendly and warm, and we certainly wished we could have stayed for another day or two. We highly recommend Ami's place for anyone looking to stay in the area!

If you’re traveling from NYC without a car, you can take the Adirondack Trailways bus to New Paltz from the Port Authority Terminal. Once in New Paltz you can either walk (about 1 mile) or take taxi ($5) to the house.

We are looking for an individual or couple who enjoy vacationing in a natural setting and living a simple, healthy, lifestyle in a home surrounded by forest in a region where a wealth of biking, hiking, rock climbing, spelunking. and swimming opportunities abound. It is available from August 8th to September 8th. Dates are flexible and ideally we would like just one renter for the better part of the 4 weeks.

Our home is a cozy and lovely 1 bedroom apartment (with a king size bed), 1 bathroom ( with a deep bathtub and shower), furnished simply and comfortably. The main room is an open concept but partitioned living room, dining area and kitchen with a walk out to the patio and back yard. We have a lovely outdoor patio with a shade umbrella, table and chairs, BBQ and patio lights adjacent to our raised garden beds. It is very serene with the sound of birds, woodpeckers and crickets. The apt remains cool even on hot days and the bedroom and main room have overhead fans. There is excellent internet and fitness equipment to enjoy, sauna, inversion table, trampoline, exercise ball, weights, darts and board games.

We have a summer home in Canada so we rent our lower level apartment of our split ranch home short term when we are traveling and we rent the upstairs long term. We are at the edge of New Paltz, set back a distance from the 2 lane secondary highway and surrounded by a 200 acres of woods. Pam is a massage therapist and there is a massage table in the recreation room (our converted garage) you may use or have a therapist come to massage you on site! Ronnie is a mental health counselor and his office and printer could be made available to use and his mountain bike is available by anyone who is an experienced rider if not used off road.

We are in the heart of the mid-Hudson Valley with all the bounty it has to offer, Farmer's Markets, Lake Minnewaska, Buddhist Meditation Centers, Sky lake, Menla, Wineries, Boutiques, The Rail Trail, Summer Festivals and Music, and we are less than an hour drive to Rosendale, Kingston and Woodstock. Our home is a 10 minute drive to downtown New Paltz, a quaint, safe, college town with all the conveniences one needs, health food store, grocery stores, banks, movie theatre, shops etc.

The Sweet Suite is a private 1 bedroom with master bathroom ensuite, a lofty open living area amply equipped and handsomely appointed for your comfort. The space
Over 1500 sq ft, open floor plan includes entry, living and table top work area, kitchenette with sink and small frig/freezer, cooking appliances, and comfortable sofa and chairs. The bedroom is a master suite: spacious closet, queen size poster bed, full shower, toilet, and pedestal sink. Across open beam ceiling there are three skylights, double glass doors to the terrace, and a large window in each bedroom and bathroom, as well as the entry landing at the top of the staircase. The suite can only be accessed from the staircase, which leads outside through the green exterior door. The suite sits above a three car garage that is seldomly accessed by the owners during your stay. The terrace overlooks the main house, a Dutch story and a half farmhouse built for Benjamin Bogardus Van Keuren in 1819. Remnants of a smokehouse on this property are on the National Historic Register.

The Sweet Suite has a forced air heating and air conditioning system and is controlled by a thermostat inside. The shower was recently upgraded, 36” x 57” with a single shower head a great water pressure.

The Wi-Fi is shared with the main house and signal strength is strong and fast; video conferencing is easily done if guests are working remotely from the suite.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire suite, the garage area below and outbuildings are not permitted for guests to enter. Guests may roam our property—gardens, woodland, rock bar area, at their leisure. This is country property and some areas are not level and there is wildlife living here, as well—foxes, owls, birds, skunks, fireflies, hawks, toads, squirrels, chipmunks, cats… occasionally a roving black bear! For this reason, we ask guests to leave their garbage INSIDE at the bottom of the stairs and we will collect it. We haven’t seen the bear since 2021 FYI.

Other things to note
The Sweet Suite is situated in a residential area. The hamlet of Gardiner is less than three miles away, there you can access the rail trail, two cafes, wine & liquor store, and a pizzeria. Venture out approximately twelve miles to the vibrant village of New Paltz, or up to the Shawangunk “Gunks” Ridge to hike, bike, climb, swim, or cross country ski. An automobile is recommended to reach these destinations.

This unusual private efficiency apartment is located on the first floor of a renovated barn. The private entrance to a foyer opens the efficiency to the right with a key. The proximity to the Mid Hudson Bridge and 87 Thruway are 5-7 minutes. Metro North last stop Poughkeepsie from Grand Central is a beautiful, scenic trip 15 minutes

A full bed with a couch make it comfortable for one or two. There is an standing, enclosed shower stall and separate small toilet room with sink. A full refrigerator, nuwave oven, toaster oven and microwave make cooking possible. A small outdoor grill is on the porch. Guests can access their private studio efficiency, patio table and chairs right next to front door. I have a 16 acre property with a map in the apartment on the wall. Please stay within my property boundaries (town of Lloyd wants me to disclose.)There is a small place to build a fire right down the front hill. If you want to access the wetland lake please email me describing your experience with a kayak and/or canoe. I will provide further instructions.Please feel free to peruse the three biographies of Jemina Wilkinson in the bookcase or on the high entrance table. She was the first woman to found a religious organization in America and her community lived across the street in the late 1700's. She stopped there due to the "good vibes."

TRAVEL:
If you are coming from the city, we recommend the NY Trailways bus that goes direct between Port Authority bus terminal in NYC and New Paltz. I like the bus because it is direct and if not in traffic is only 95 minutes and drops you off at a 5 min walk from the pad! It’s about $25 each way. There are 2 stops in New Paltz (sometimes 3). Be certain to get off at the Trailways Station on Main St.

Nerdy Bus Pro Tips:
There are a lot of buses during rush hour and usually plenty of capacity. Check the schedules online by selecting the date or give them a call (they actually pick up the phone). Keep in mind it is first come first served so you could get bumped if the bus is super full. So get to the station a bit early to buy a ticket and queue for the bus (tickets bought in person are valid in either direction for any schedule... online tickets are actually schedule specific even tho they can bump you if it’s too busy). The gate in port authority is usually 32, downstairs.

The apartment is steps away from the Mohonk Preserve Gatehouse and is a few minute walk to hiking and biking trails. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets). This apartment is located in the back of a main house ( where a family and pup live) in a beautiful location. You will find all of your cooking needs, as well as smart television in an open living space with an attached railroad style bedroom off the back of the space with a full sized comfortable bed.

Directions- Google Map will get you here easily. If you are coming from NY87 take Exit 18. Once you get off the Thruway and go through the tolls you will take a left that will take you through town. You will drive through town and take a right onto Gatehouse Road, it is a couple miles after the bridge once you leave town. The house will be on your right when you turn onto Gatehouse Road. Just keep an eye for the mail box, it is black and some trees tend to cover the number a little bit. A cab from the bus station is only about $6.

Parking-Please always park in the right most space during your stay. The driveway is easy to back out so long as you use your side mirrors. That will be your space during your entire stay. Please remember there are kids at the main house. Please drive slowly into the driveway as sometimes the kids are on their bikes. They are also VERY friendly, feel free to say hello.

Finding the Apartment-If you are looking at the house, the path to the apartment is on the right of the house. You will see a path with lights and a small deck.

Self-Check in starts at 3 PM- You are welcome to come whenever is best for you starting at 3pm! I will not be waiting for you, you will have the flexibility to come when works for you. The key will be in the door ready for your arrival!

Self Check Out 11 am-No need to check out with me upon departure. Please leave the key in the door of the apartment and you can be on your merry way! When checking out please turn off the air conditioner or lower heat to 55 degrees. If you have time please throw all towels used in bathroom and kitchen into the washer and take out the trash and recycling. If your in a rush and don’t have time we understand that too, it just makes change overs smoother for us.

Keys-Please note that it is very easy to get locked out of the house, please double check if the door is locked before you shut it. If you do get locked out I have left a hide-a-key under the table on the deck, it is magnetic.

Bathroom Needs Etc.- There are some toiletries in the cabinet in the bathroom for your use as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. Please use any towels and bedding and a hair dryer that is in the white cabinets by the bathroom.

Laundry-There is a washer and dryer is for your use if you need. You will see some dryer sheets and detergent by the white cabinets.

Dog-As a reminder, there is a dog at the homeowner’s main house. She is friendly but loves to bark and get very close to cars as they drive up. I promise you, you will not run over her, just keep driving. Also she gets very happy to see visitors, please open the driver side door as soon as you drive up so she will not scratch your door. Her name is Pika for the record.....she really is sweet.

Before Leaving for the evening- The motion activated porch light is taped so it stays on. It is the light switch to the right of the main door. That switch next to it also turns on the power to that wall on, feel free to leave that on as well.

Cooking- Please feel free to use the kitchen as much as you want. I have most of the cooking necessities you need. You will see oils and spices in the cabinets and some dry goods as well as all cooking essentials in the island. Feel free to use the few condiments in the fridge.

Clean up- Please treat this as your kitchen, please rinse off the dishes so food is not out and clean up after yourself appropriately.

Recycle and Trash-The trash is all the way to the left of the sink in the drawer. Please put all recycling directly under the sink in the small garbage can. You can throw trash in the trash cans by the shed by the parking area.

Deck-Please feel free to use the deck and outdoor area. I have put bug spray and a lighter for the candles and tiki torches by door.

WIFI- Network- MyspectrumWIFI10-2G Password-bluelawn865 if you are having connection issues with it please text me. The router is in the main house and I can reset it if need be.

TV - There is a Smart TV for you to use. There is no cable. I have Netflix logged in and you are welcome to watch.

Heat- The thermostat is by the closet in the living area. Please set it to what you are comfortable at. Please turn it to 55 on your departure. There is a separate thermostat in the bathroom if you need it, please just turn this off when it is not in use. There is also a heat pump in the kitchen, that is what the remote it for. If you need additional heat you can use that as well.

AC, Fans and windows open- There is a AC unit above the cabinet, the remote to control it is on the wall. Please leave turn it off when you leave the apt. There are fans throughout the house, please feel free to use them and keep them on. Also it does cool off at night, feel free to open the Windows, however please do remember you are in the woods and in nature, there are some spiders and bugs...... no matter what they will be around.
