Both bedrooms have a Queen size bed with a tilting, adjustable mattress powered by a remote. A full bath has good water pressure with toiletries and hair tools provided.The larger bedroom has a 50” 4K (UHD) TV with streaming.

A fully-equipped, eat-in kitchen with modern stainless-steel appliances: a large French-door fridge, a dishwasher, a microwave and a gas stove (with a hood). There are pots, pans, dinner ware and small appliances. There is a powerful blender for smoothie lovers and an espresso/cappuccino maker.
There is a 65” 4K (UHD, HDR) TV in the living room coupled with the latest Xbox One X to entertain you during evenings as well as 4k Blu-ray playback. A number of recent 4K UHD Blu-ray films are provided. There is also a ‘Game of Thrones’ monopoly for a classic table top game night and a tic-tac-toe board on the glass coffee table.

Warm evenings are great to spend outside! There is very private veranda with great view and a couple of comfortable chairs to enjoy a book or a good conversation.

You will have access to the whole apartment. There is key-less entry with a provided code. There will be fresh towels and toiletries provided in the bathroom. In addition, Black Cow, our local coffee shop, is a 5 min walk. Black Cow has a large variety of different coffee from all around the world and they roast their coffee beans themselves.

Usually I am available to meet and greet all guests. The apartment offers privacy if you prefer but I can also suggest things to do and provide directions to nearby attractions and landmarks as needed.
Although Croton on Hudson is a suburb of New York City, there are some wild animals and birds that you may encounter from time to time. During summer time there are blue jays and other birds living in magnolia trees near the house and on occasion deer and raccoons could be spotted. A beautiful hawk lives nearby and can be seen in the morning as it flies above the house.

Away from industry and pollution, enjoy a breath of clean air and the outdoors. If you go hiking, take note that poison ivy has been spotted in the area and, as always, there are risks of ticks in any woods and tall grass, so dress appropriately. There is abundant information about ticks and tick bites on internet, it is worthwhile to be informed.

Streets in the village are illuminated but driveways tend to be a bit darker. It is noticeably darker at night on the street, compared to a large city like New York, but as an added bonus, you could see stars! Mars’ red dot is easily seen with a naked eye as well as white dots of Jupiter and Saturn. Orion's belt, Ursa Major and Minor, Vega, Polaris and many more to be discovered.

We are in the heart of downtown Peekskill. You can walk everywhere, so no car is needed! You have free street parking, cool amenities, & epic views of the mountains & city skyline. Just 1 train, 1 boat, or 1 Hr drive from NYC. The house is bright, colorfully decorated, filled with sunlight, & an artistic minimalistic style. Between your room, the comfiness of the house, your chill hosts, our local tips, & Peekskill's constant events, you have everything you need to enjoy your downtown Peekskill.

From the guest suite, you have an amazing view of the mountains and city. The suite gets an amazing amount of sunlight, and you can hear the birds in the morning as you start your day. The entire house is keyless, so it is impossible to get locked out or lose your keys ;-). The 750 sq ft suite includes a bedroom with a king-sized bed, standing mirror and sofa, a private full bathroom, and a living room with another sofa, a 50-inch TV, a dining table with chairs, a fridge, a coffee machine, and a microwave. Your room also has bathrobes and disposable slippers for each adult guest. If you have a favorite or super comfy house slippers, please feel free to bring them, as the house is shoeless, and I want all my guests to feel right at home.

The house is in downtown Peekskill, so there is no need for a car. The easiest way to get here is to hop on the Metro North train from NYC at either Grand Central or Harlem. It is 1 train, 5 stops, and 1 hour. As the house is downtown, you can enjoy the bars, restaurants, local events, festivals, theater, live music, and comedy shows by walking for 3-15 mins.

I greet all my guests at the house, as it gives me a chance to make sure you feel right at home, explain how the locks work, and make recommendations for your stay (if needed). Once you are checked in, if you need me, ping me on the app. Check-in is between 3 pm-8 pm. Most of the time, I can accommodate a late or overnight check-in, but that would need to be agreed upon at the time of your reservation. Though you might not see me much during your stay, I will find some time to say goodbye before you go!

To get to Peekskill, you have tons of options. You can take a cruise from Manhattan down the Hudson ( I know, very cool). You can take the train from Manhattan. It is one train, a few stops, and about an hour. From the Peekskill Train Station, you can walk 15-20 minutes to the house, Uber, or message me for a pick-up (it's $10). You can also take the train to Croton-Harmon and Uber to the house. If you are coming from the airport, you can Uber (it is between $50-150 depending on the airport and time of day). If you ask in advance, sometimes I can do airport or Manhattan pickup or drop off for the same price as Uber. Pick-ups and drop-offs are not services; it is just something I am happy to do when I have the time. I recommend taking the train from Grand Central or Harlem.

Besides hosting, I also have a few local tour experiences and private tours: 1. A 3-hour food and culture tour of downtown Peekskill. 2. This is a walk-out basement with two private entrances, and it’s own private outside area. The patio has comfy furniture with a bbq. The kitchen is small, yet efficient with large windows. The bedroom is cozy and comfy with a large smart tv on the wall. The bedroom has a 3/4 wall dividing it from the rest of the apt, but no actual door. So it could be considered a “studio”. We are steps from the trail heads into Blue Mt park. We’re also walking distance to the metro north & downtown.

The apartment is small, but the private patio space is large with table, chairs and bbq. There’s is a fence enclosing the patio, for wee ones and 4 legged family members.

This top floor apt of our hundred year old house has amazing filtered light coming in through the gigantic surrounding trees. The back porch is spacious, with furniture, a grill and a hammock. The bathroom has a deep claw foot tub. There’s also a piano in the living room.

The space
Set up on a hill among old deciduous trees, you will feel like you are in a tree house in this top floor apartment. Set right on Depew Park, which leads into Blue Mt park, there is definitely a nature vibe, but with pubs and restaurants within walking distance of the house!
