- "The owner was very helpful and provided a lot of information pertinent to my stay. I stayed here by myself, so the small size of this unit worked out fine. The bathroom and kitchenette were very clean. The bathroom was modern and looked like it was renovated recently. Bring a couple of garbage bags and a roll of paper towels. They are not provided. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, each household of my extended family stayed in separate places nearby. We met at the ski area each day, and it worked out great! This unit has a lot of rules that are strictly enforced, so read the owner's notes carefully. I wish that the listing mentioned how close the bedroom window is to a busy, loud road. It was a bit annoying when trying to sleep with loud pickup trucks flying around the intersection with extra loud exhaust systems in full effect, but I was able to sleep. The unit was warm, cozy, and clean. It is fairly well-equipped. There is no cell signal here. The wifi worked better than advertised. Thanks to the owner for her hospitality!"

The Catskill Mountains are renowned for their extensive network of hiking trails, and our location is no exception. Nearby, the Devil`s Path is one of the region`s most challenging and rewarding hikes, offering breathtaking views from summits like Plateau Mountain and Sugarloaf Mountain.

The area around East Jewett is dotted with picturesque waterfalls. Just a short drive away is Kaaterskill Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in New York State.

In the winter, East Jewett transforms into a winter wonderland. The nearby Hunter Mountain and Windham Mountain ski resorts are popular destinations for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts. The pool is a private amenity for the 3-building complex (closes after Labor Day). Pool is open at the discretion of the HOA and we are not responsible for unexpected closures. Guests must agree to the pool rules. Many people visit nearby Colgate Lake or North-South Lake for swimming and other recreational activities.

All adult guests must be added to the reservation. Upon booking you will be required to email me full names, email addresses, and phone numbers for all adult guests.

There are OUTSIDE cameras to assist with your check-in on the front porch, parking lot, and backyard. A camera is on the mantle inside the home. Your privacy, security, and enjoyment are our top concerns.

If you are sensitive to noise, the apartment IS on Main Street and sound travels through this old building.

- "Proximity to Windham sold us on this - and we found a spacious unit, with lots of kitchen facilities, great TV with Roku and lots of fun DVD movies to watch. The beds were comfortable and plush. The couch around the TV allows many people to congregate - which we did to play games, etc. There are plenty of dishes, a strong hot shower, but the best feature was the hot tub - a fancy modern tub, is very close to entrance and easy to use with provided bath robes. We look forward to going back!"

Bright 1st floor apartment on a quiet street, with easy access from NYS thruway. Also within walking distance (1/2 mile) from the Trailways bus station. Easy walk to Kingston's Stockade District and the Senate Garage. At the end of my street there's Terri's corner deli.

The space
Very comfortable for 2 adults or couple w/ children. Safe warm and spacious, I'm walking distance from Kingston's stockade district, offering restaurants, music venues, great little shops. Relaxing front porch and private back yard. Plenty of on street parking, secure wireless, Roku TV. And, a private full bath and kitchen.

Coffee and tea, stove, oven, toaster and microwave. Fridge, dishes, glasses and some cookware. My house is close to 2 rail trails, great for hiking or off road bikes. We're 20 minutes to Saugerties, Woodstock, New Paltz and Rhinebeck Fair Grounds. Close to the Trailways bus station.

Parking is on a quiet residential street. My driveway only allows for one car at a time, but in case of inclement weather arrangements will be made to make sure you are off the street and clear of snow plows. Bicycles are welcome, and can be locked along side the house behind a fence, out of sight of the street.

Fresh towels and linens are provided. The room gets beautiful natural light all day and in every season. There are window treatments for privacy and shade.

The Centennial Cottage Est. 1840 is one of the oldest boarding homes located in the historic hamlet of Palenville, where travelers would stay on their way up to the Mountain House(now North & South Lake). The newly renovated apt is located on the first floor of this charming three unit building located at the base of the Kaaterskill Clove. Its where neighbors still sit on their front porch to visit & take nightly walks to see the glorious views of the mountains, with a short walk to the creek.

The space
The open layout features a brand new kitchen with brand new Samsung appliances. The walls showcase the aged reclaimed wood from the building, creating a warm and invited atmosphere. The couch folds down to a bed and there is a roll-a-way there if you have an additional guest in your party. There is currently a desk for working and super fast wifi at a 1GB speed.

The bedroom is soft and cozy with a brand new bed and linens. The reclaimed wood continues throughout the room, accented by antique lamps and vintage furniture.

The bathroom is brand new as well, with all of the amenities supplied. Just off of the bathroom is a stacked washer and dryer with laundry soap provided.

Outside you can find a table and chairs to dine, and a backyard to lounge around in. Beautiful walks in any direction will make you forget the fast world you have escaped, and bring you inner peace.

This two floor loft space is spread across 1600 square feet with rustic hardwood floors, two queen beds on separate floors, a full bath, kitchen, dining table and living spaces on each floor. The space
In addition to the two queen beds (one's a murphy bed), there's a sleeper sofa, a fold down couch, and optional additional sleeping on a double-sized blow-up air mattress. Each floor is open, loft style, but the beds reside on separate floors. The bathroom is on the lower floor, and there are privacy screens that can be used as needed if you want to enclose one of the beds for more privacy. The kitchen which is on the upper floor has all the essentials including a stove, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator and all your basic cooking utensils. The space is a former yoga studio and sometimes hosts sound baths and private sessions so yoga essentials are there for guests' enjoyment.

A wonderful place to do almost nothing or lots!
From bike riding to mountain trails to hike. Your private studio needs nothing for you to bring other than yourself. Your room has a lovely complimentary welcome kit of wine and goodies to get you started on your first night. Also for an additional fee we have available goat happy hour and playtime (weather permitting) $40 per person. The goats are 2 yeas olds that have been bottle raised and think they are puppies. 🐐🐐

The studio is located in a tucked away off the main road. The building, Total of 4 units that are respectful and quiet. Private spaces for fires and grilling. Your studio is 100pct private with two decks. One that overlooks a common area and one that is 100pct private. Please note mountain well water is 100 percent potable,no issues drinking, cooking or washing with it. Seasonally there may be a light scent of sulfur. If that is an issue please make sure you pick up some bottled water to drink if the taste may bother you. If you’re up for it bring some hiking shoes. Right here on the property we have a lovely watering hole where humans don’t exist just nature. The owner can show you the unmarked trails. Please don’t hesitate to ask for any assistance with anything 👍
Additionally if kayaking is your thing we can make available a day excursion (not far) to Greene Lake. It is one of the most beautiful placid big lakes in the Catskills most people haven’t heard of! Single double or up to three guest we can accommodate! We bring you to the lake with all the gear you need and pick you up on an agreed time. Stay at the lake for an hour or the entire day! $75 per person all equipment and passage included.

PLEASE NOTE!!! that this is a dormer bathroom. It has a angled ceiling. This is a full bathroom but is better suited for bathing over showering! We supply a lovey sitting bench to shower, as not to have to lean while showering!

Please be aware that you are in nature and expect to see animals you may not encounter in the city. Let them be happy in their environment and enjoy their beauty. If you are bringing up a pet please make sure that they are current on all vaccinations. There is a $45 dog fee (no cats).

The House

This is the oldest house that you can stay at in the heart of Kingston!

This landmark 1680 stone house has been featured in Upstate Diary, Design Sponge, and Houzz.

Built circa 1680, this lovingly restored stone house retains original features such as exposed beams, wide plank floors, and stone walls. It is a landmarked building, holding a spot on the National Register of Historic Places. The British tried to burn it down in 1777.

This luxurious apartment has the charm of its historical bones along with the boutique feel and amenities of a hotel. Located in the historic stockade district, this 350
square foot apartment is walking distance to all the area has to offer, including shops, restaurants, and local historic sites.

- Please note that while we used to occasionally rent out this apartment (Ivy on the Stone) and the house (Ivy on the Stone Manse) simultaneously, we no longer do so in response to feedback from our guests. This apartment is located in the back of and on the ground floor of the larger stone house that you can see clearly in the photos. The owners do reside in the main house and are on site if you should need anything during your stay -

The Garden

Enter through a secret garden of lavender, hydrangea, and boxwood. There is a fire pit and a charcoal grill which guests are welcome to use during their stay.

A screened in bluestone porch features a spacious sitting and dining area with lighting and outlets.

Your stay

Guests enter their apartment through an entrance on the porch, which is accessible via a keypad.

The foyer/kitchenette stars William Morris wallpaper, a wooden café table, and Nespresso machine.

Continue into the bedroom with its exposed beams, thick stone walls and window seats covered in sheepskins. Sleep on an organic queen mattress beneath a gallery wall curated from the host’s travels.

Opposite the sleeping area, guests can cozy up on the armchair in the library corner with an electric fireplace, or utilize the dedicated workspace overlooking the magical garden.

The spacious, spa-like bathroom features a claw foot tub, rain shower, and shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bubble bath and make up remover wipes. The towels have just been updated to soft, fluffy bath sheets in response to guest feedback.

While not a full kitchen, the kitchenette comes equipped with a Nespresso maker, a microwave, a toaster, cutting board, knives, colander, cutlery, plates, and bowls. We also offer complimentary popcorn, chocolate and matches for our guests in the kitchenette. Please only run one kitchenette appliance at a time (ie. The microwave or the kettle) to avoid blowing a fuse. A mini fridge is tucked under the desk in the main room with oat milk, hot sauce and seltzers.

Slippers and a shoe rack are conveniently placed inside the door. Bathrobes are hanging in the bedroom.

The bedroom has a suitcase holder, a dresser and an open closet with hangers for your convenience. A clothes steamer and hair dryer are available in the kitchenette cabinet as well.

Sleep on silk pillowcases with Egyptian cotton and linen sheets.

The bedroom windows are fitted with interior shutters as well as black-out shades for complete privacy.

In response to guests feedback the bathroom has privacy screen half way up and curtains that can be closed to block the entire window.

Heat and AC:

The apartment is heated with radiators. Like an NYC apartment, the radiators kick on in the early Fall and turn off in the spring. They are on and open. If you’d like additional heat please use the electric fireplace or the space heater in the bathroom. Please plug them in to separate outlets to distribute the power. The electric fireplace has two settings for the ambience of the flames with or without additional warmth. It’s a bit quirky but it is a 340 year old house. Extra blankets are available in the bedroom. A window AC unit is installed in the warmer months.

Guest access

Guests have a private 350 square foot apartment with a kitchenette/dining space, bedroom/ library with workspace and a spacious bathroom with luxury amenities. It is set up like a luxe hotel suite.

The apartment is located in a stone house where your hosts live in the adjacent living quarters. Some squeaky floorboards and some ambient sound are part of our ancient house. There is a Bluetooth speaker that can be used as a white noise machine if desired. Guests have shared access to the screened in porch, and fenced in garden.

Additional info

We are child and infant friendly- If traveling with children, let us know and we can provide a high chair, pack and play, and a twin-sized collapsible bed with 6 inch memory foam mattress. A full sized air mattress is also available with advanced notice.

Free parking is available on-street in front of the house. It is street parking. Street parking is free all along Green street, it is usually available but we are in the very center of the historic district of Kingston so depending on the time of day it can be first come first serve. Saturdays is the farmers market from 9-2 pm and it can be very busy then. There are also municipal lots and metered spots on neighboring streets that one can pay for via the Flowbird app.

This apartment is cleaned in accordance with Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol.

Please be aware that this is an old house with some quirks- only one appliance in the kitchenette can run at a time, the heat is via old radiators plus space heaters, a little sound carries occasionally, as it is an apartment within the larger stone house, the floorboards are uneven in places and some of the light switches aren’t quite where you’d expect! We think it just adds to its charm, though. If there is anything that you need during your stay, don’t hesitate to message us, we really want to help you have a wonderful stay.✨
