Up the stairs you will find three bedrooms, one with a king bed, one with a queen bed, and one with a double (full) bed. There is a full bath with walk-in shower and full-sized laundry equipment. The kitchen is large and fully equipped for any cooking needs you may have. It has a large gas range, dishwasher, large fridge and a separate ice maker, as well as microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Go one way from the kitchen and you'll find our spacious breakfast nook with window surround that seats eight. Go the other direction and find the living room with extra large state of the art TV - Netflix and Prime all provided along with cords for your gaming machines. Our internet is fiber optic and lightning fast. Whole house generator, so you won't be affected if the local power fails! Parking for at least 4 vehicles. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our home. Allergy sufferers will appreciate the bare wood floors , along with regular steam cleaning of upholstery. Our cleaning team uses only non-toxic and natural cleansers and our linens are free from softeners or fragrances. Air ducts, windows and exterior are cleaned twice per year, and we are happy to come by to correct any variance from a sparkling clean and comfortable home for your stay! This apartment is located in a renovated barn on a large private estate, centrally located in the heart of the Berkshires, on fifty acres of beautifully landscaped farming land. The property has a large pond, woodland trails, and abuts onto Beartown Forest with large boating lake and picnic areas. Historic home Nestled on a quiet street in downdown Great Barrington, just steps from the River Walk path, this enchanting apartment features 2 bright and airy queen bedrooms, perfect for a small group of guests.

This is a Duplex house - you will have one entire side which has a queen bedroom on the first floor and a Queen bedroom and bathroom on the second floor. The stairs to the second floor have a handrail but they are steep. The apartment features amenities like Roku TV, WiFi, Back Yard Gas Grill, washer/dryer in Basement, fully equipped eat-in kitchen.

The apartment has beautiful artwork throughout and nice touches like plants and locally made pottery. The newly renovated bathroom offers modern glass door, step-in shower.

The font enclosed porch is perfect for storing ski or outdoor gear

Your stay will be comfortable and convenient as you can easily walk to the downtown cafes, food coop, great restaurants and the theater. We are a 10 minute drive to Butternut ski areas and close to hiking trails and performing arts center - Tanglewood and Jacobs Pillow.

- "Where to stay in the Berkshires? Well, if you don't mind not being in the center of Lenox or Stockbridge, this is the perfect hideaway. Located above a very popular restaurant, the apartment had a lovely mixture of old and new - the building is old - the inside is new. My friend and I wanted to spend a weekend in the Berkshires, and even though we shared a room as freshmen in college, we are now at the age where our own bedrooms and our own bathrooms are a must! This apartment gave us plenty of space. We appreciated the welcome cookies (debated whether to ask for more) and liked the other welcoming touches. A couple of notes: there is some noise from the restaurant (not loud and not late), As mentioned in the description, there are stairs, and there is no outdoor area. AC is great. Plan to go the restaurant at least once. I hope to come back soon! And if I bring my husband, and let's say we have a disagreement over ....well anything....we'll at least have our own bedroom and bathroom to cool down in."

It is only two hours from Boston, one hour from Albany and two and a half hours from New York City. Loft-at-Sea is a 800 Sq. Ft open floor plan studio apartment with plenty of light from three skylights and a picture window overlooking a farm to the South, mountains to the East and a wooded area to the North. The quiet, four-acre property has gardens, an orchard and pathways down to a beaver pond. Two Mini-split heating/cooling units maintain comfortable temperatures year-round. There is a private entrance, utility room with washer-dryer, coat rack and some storage. There is a parking area with EV Charger, a small picnic area in the back yard. The location affords easy access to biking, hiking, swimming, Great Barrington, Stockbridge and numerous cultural attractions.

- "This place is nicely appointed, but it wasn't quite as accommodating for our party as we'd thought it would be. I was traveling with my 2 teen-aged daughters and my teenaged nephew. I thought the common area could be a reasonable sleeping area for my nephew, but it really wasn't. Luckily, my sister had rented a gigantic place that had plenty of space for the overflow kids and it was just down the street. I would say that this apartment is best for 2 people, or 2 couples. Not great for families traveling with older kids who are too big to share a bed. Also, I'd recommend a sleeping mask (or that the owners invest in light-filtering window treatments) as the sun pours in at about 5:30 in the morning -- at least in late June. This is picky, but I'd have preferred a real coffee maker over the Keurig. Luckily, the deli next door has pretty good coffee. Overall, it was a perfectly lovely apartment."

Welcome to the Berkshires!!! A very large duplex apartment with own entrance and a porch to relax in. This is all within walking distance to town. This roomy space features a country décor with a cozy, homey feeling that has a bathtub upstairs and a shower stall downstairs. Easy access to all favorite places like Tanglewood, Norman Rockwell Museum and Bash Bish Falls to name a few. There are some nice restaurants, many antique stores and hiking, like up Monument Mountain.
The space
You will have the entire apartment to yourself. The front door leads into your own cozy porch. There is no interaction with back apartment tenants, who are quiet. There is ample parking space.

Other things to note
The bedroom situation is such that you have to walk past first opened bedroom to get to the other bedroom and bathroom. The second bedroom has a door.
The upstairs bathroom has a tub, which there is also a wand for rinsing off. It is not very tall inside tub, so it would be hard to take a shower in it if you are over 5’3”. There is a shower stall in the first floor bathroom though.

If you're looking for quiet & character, then you've found it. My flat is the upstairs one in a duplex: cozy, open, lots of light with a shared bathroom. I'm a 5 minute walk to downtown GB, a 25 minute drive to tons of cultural & outdoor activities, or you could just chill on my balcony as the river drifts by. I don't do the breakfast part of Airbnb nor coffee but there are a handful of great coffee shops within 5 minutes of my flat that open at 8.

It is not a sleek, pristine place - there are cracks, odd floors, NO locks on the bedroom nor bathroom doors and because I live in a super safe area, I rarely lock the front door. My apartment is VERY lived in by me. If you want an über clean, streamlined place, try Holiday Inn, you won't find it here : ) What you will find is a cross between an art gallery, thrift store, kids room and yoga studio that has a few old paint drips on the floor, and some marks on the walls and creaking floorboards. I collect things - like suitcases, pins, art, quilts and tiny items and my space reflects that. I make things - dances, muffins, hats, sweaters, cards and my flat reflects that as well. People tell me my place has a great vibe, is colorful and easy to be in. There are STEEP stairs to get to my flat and then another set of steep stairs to get you up to your bedroom. They are doable, but steep : )

The room is light and airy with morning sun and the shade of the large front porch in the afternoon. This is a place to enjoy a meal or just lounge and relax with a view of the gardens and surrounding woods. This space features a private entrance, a kitchenette and full bathroom and very comfortable queen bed.
In mid July 2024 we added air conditioning.

The space
Our newly created studio bedroom ensuite (with it's own private entrance) is situated in a peaceful cul-du-sac, on 'the hill', overlooking the town of Great Barrrington. The room is artfully appointed with a comfy French Country queen sized bed. There is a simple kitchenette suitable for continental breakfasts, snacks like wine and cheese, or heating leftovers from one of our excellent local restaurants. Our new bathroom features an oversized walk-in shower stall.
The table and chairs sit beside a large picture window where 'early risers' can enjoy a lovely Berkshire sunrise. This also doubles as a useful work surface for e-mailing, writing, etc.
The large victorian porch is actually a garden room with views of colorful perennial beds, woods, and in three seasons a glimpse of the mountain range beyond - the perfect place to read, to talk, or just to relax and enjoy.
This large home was designed and built by a well known Berkshire fine arts painter and has been his home and studio space for over 30 years.

Other things to note
From the house one can take a 20 minute stroll down into town where galleries, speciality shops, restaurants and cafes abound. In summer and fall don't miss our fabulous Saturday morning Farmer's Market, complete with live music and food stalls frequented by us 'locals'.
At night one might enjoy live jazz with dinner at Castle Street Cafe; performances in the beautifully renovated Mahaiwe Theater; gourmet pizza at Baba Louie's; ice cream at So-Co Creamery; or a first run movie at our Triplex Cinema. All of these (and more) are again within walking distance of the house.
The 'Cultural Berkshires' as she is called, lives up to her name with famous venues like: Tanglewood (summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra); Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival; Shakespeare & Company; Berkshire Theater Festival; the Norman Rockwell Museum; and Kripalu to name but a few. All of these are an easy drive from the house.
Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy numerous hikes, walks, parks, lakes, and house and garden tours. Visit the Berkshire Botanical Garden especially during it's Fall festival. Hike Monument Mountain with it grand views of the Berkshires and Catskills made most famous by Berkshire writers Melville and Hawthorne. In winter enjoy downhill and cross country skiing and snow shoeing.
Lake Mansfield is just 4 blocks away with its town beach as well as a boat launch for your kayaks and canoes.

The 600 Sq. Ft Studio with skylights has a sitting area with sofa-bed, flat screen TV/DVD, sleep area with queen-size bed, dining area, fully equipped kitchen and full bath with shower. Views overlook a 30 acre farm (south) and mountains (east). The studio is in a separate building with a private entrance. The 4 acre property includes perennial and vegetable gardens, an orchard and walking paths. The studio is easily accessible to biking, hiking, swimming, and numerous cultural attractions.

The space
The studio is in a lovely town with a historic center and no commercial establishments. Tangelwood, Kripalu, Berkshire Theater Festival and Jacob's Pillow are a short drive.
