Located in the beautiful Berkshires, MA, the 5000 sqf home is located in a desired neighborhood known as "the Hill.” The sun filled house is on a quiet no outlet road and sits on 2.5 acres of landscaping including blueberry bushes, maple tree, lawns, mature flowers, and custom cobblestone. In spite of being only a 15 min walk from downtown, it feels very away from it all with trees in every window and privacy.

Connections to the Appalachian trail within 10 minutes. Lake Mansfield is a 15 min walk. The Green River, with a swimming hole, is a 15 min hike through the woods. The Mahaiwe, a movie theater and the great thriving restaurants, boutiques, toy stores and coffee shops of downtown are a 15 minute walk. Tanglewood is a 20 minute drive. Butternut is a 10 minute drive.

The historic home was built in 1905 and was one of the first in Great Barrington to receive electricity. It has been lovingly renovated and restored from the ground up. Many original details were restored to new condition (windows, radiators and the like) and modern conveniences added. There is central air conditioning, whole home audio system, movie room w/ mounted 65 inch 4k television, surround sound, double pane windows, heated floors in the bathrooms and kitchen. There is a second 4k television in the den for when the kids don't want to watch the same movie as the adults - also with high end surround sound. Sony Playstation and multiple streaming devices all updated to 4K technology. The gourmet cook's kitchen includes a large granite prep area, 2 deep sinks, Wolf Stove, large SubZero, and 2 Bosch dishwashers for easy clean up.

The house is oversized but still cozy with brand new sheets from Brooklinen, new towels, lots of blankets, and well designed locally bought furniture and rugs. There are games and a library of classics and NYTimes bestsellers for ages 2 - adult. In keeping with the classic feel, there is a high end record player in the library for afternoons playing chess and cards. Two large wood burning fireplaces make it homey during the winter.

Enjoy the fresh summer air on the large screened in porch, play ping pong, or enjoy a meal in the fresh air on the screened porch dining table. Ample lawns and private outdoor space, especially for an in town property. Weber Grill on large stone patio for for preparing summer meals, nine person sunken hot tub on mahogany deck and a wood swing set and slide set up for the kids.

Nursery was painted and set-up in 2022 and has toddler toys available for use. Farrow and Ball paint and natural fiber rugs used throughout most of the house. Fragrant free and organic or non-toxic cleaners used. Plates and serving ware for 12 from Crate and Barrel, new in Fall 2024.

This updated 1920s farmhouse centrally located in the Berkshires is great for family vacations with a large backyard for kids to play and parents to relax. The Neighborhood: The greatest advantage about the neighborhood surrounding Twin Maple Farm are all of the local food options only minutes away. Guests have access to all spaces within this home including one garage stall for ski storage.

This home is a guest house which is part of a large property, but is completely private and almost a football field away from the main house. This is not a shared place.

The guest cottage has been recently updated with new furniture, decor and upgrades!

Both bedrooms are located on the ground level. The first featuring a king bed and desk for those who need to work from home. The second bedroom; has a twin daybed. This bedroom has access to the half bath and the exterior door to the back yard. There is a garage bay with plenty of room for storing skis and gear.

On the second floor you will find a large sectional which pulls out to a queen bed. The living room features a Smart TV and spacious window seat. The dining area seats four guests and can also double as an additional work space. The full kitchen contains Microwave, toaster, coffee maker, small fridge, oven and cook top. A portable dishwasher is available and a full sized fridge is located in the garage.

The full bathroom/laundry room is also on the second level and features a walk in shower.

All the rooms have air conditioning and heat.

The fully fenced in backyard provides plenty of privacy to relax in the hammock or around the fire pit. Enjoy a meal outside with the outdoor dining area and gas grill.

Long Pond is a reservoir in Great Barrington. It is a beautiful serene spot surrounded by nature. This is not a swimming/boating pond, but there is plenty of hiking all around the area. Pfeiffer Arboretum is just down the road which is a Land Conservancy on Long Pond featuring a " .7 mile walking loop through diverse forest and wetland ecosystems".

Although you will feel far from it all, downtown Great Barrington is just a quick 7 minute drive for shopping and restaurants! Butternut Ski Area is located only 14 minutes away and Catamount Ski Mountain is 19 minutes from the property. Both Tanglewood and downtown Lenox are only a 20 minute drive.

Ft open floor plan studio apartment with plenty of light from three skylights and a picture window overlooking a farm to the South, mountains to the East and a wooded area to the North. If you're looking for quiet & character, then you've found it. My flat is the upstairs one in a duplex: cozy, open, lots of light with a shared bathroom. I'm a 5 minute walk to downtown GB, a 25 minute drive to tons of cultural & outdoor activities, or you could just chill on my balcony as the river drifts by. I don't do the breakfast part of Airbnb nor coffee but there are a handful of great coffee shops within 5 minutes of my flat that open at 8.

I collect things - like suitcases, pins, art, quilts and tiny items and my space reflects that. I make things - dances, muffins, hats, sweaters, cards and my flat reflects that as well. People tell me my place has a great vibe, is colorful and easy to be in. There are STEEP stairs to get to my flat and then another set of steep stairs to get you up to your bedroom. They are doable, but steep : )

• We compost everything possible for the garden, taking care not to attract bears or other pests. If you have food waste, just check the notes to find out where to discard it.
• The extensive garden is never treated with chemical fertilizers or pesticides. There are lots of birds (including bluebirds) as well as the noisy and charming green frogs in our tiny pond.
• Our location is, as you can see, eminently walkable. You can walk to the library, numerous cafes and restaurants, grocery stores, and a community-owned movie theater. In the summer, streets are closed for Berkshire Busk, a musical festival, and there are regular concerts at the bandstand lawn down the hill from us. In the other direction, you can walk or bike to the Lake Mansfield Recreation Area.
• We keep our bikes in the barn and if you bring bikes you are welcome to leave yours there, too.
• And we're green in the details, too: you'll find bamboo Q-tips in the bathroom, and we can give you a bamboo toothbrush if you forget your own.

Great Barrington is a popular destination with a large variety of restaurants (over fifty places to eat), theaters, a movie house, and stunningly beautiful countryside with nearby parks, lakes, hiking trails and two ski slopes,
Catamount and Butternut. It is located in the Hudson River valley three hours from Boston and New York, one hour from Albany, Hartford and Springfield. Berkshire County has major museums which are now open, and world class music.

The space
My vintage farmhouse style home is at the end of a short, unpaved, U-shaped drive. It is hidden from the street behind other houses, perched above the river, and close to East Mountain. A wonderful mix of being both close to town and nature.

Your room is off the shared entrance hallway, but separate from the rest of the downstairs living space. You are welcome to use the porches and backyard. During your visit, I will usually use another entrance and back porch.

The queen bed takes up much of your room. It also has a dresser, shelf, upholstered chair, mini-fridge, and coffee maker. There are wall hooks for hanging clothes (no closet). There is highspeed WiFi. No TV or AC. A fan or space heater is available for your comfort. There is a hook and eye lock for when you are inside the room, but no external lock on the bedroom door.

**Best-suited for one person. Possibly a couple for a shorter stay. If you prefer spacious or upscale, this is not the right place for you.**

Within a short walk, you’ll find GB’s restaurants, shops, galleries, library, Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center, Triplex Cinema, and, in the summer, the farmer’s market and Berkshire Busk. East Mountain’s hiking and biking trails are just a few steps away. Enjoy highlights of the Berkshires and Hudson Valley within a short drive, including, for example, Tanglewood, the Mount, Jacob’s Pillow, the Norman Rockwell Museum, Kripalu, the Stockbridge Bowl, and skiing (Butternut and Catamount).

The space
Our newly created studio bedroom ensuite (with it's own private entrance) is situated in a peaceful cul-du-sac, on 'the hill', overlooking the town of Great Barrrington. The room is artfully appointed with a comfy French Country queen sized bed. There is a simple kitchenette suitable for continental breakfasts, snacks like wine and cheese, or heating leftovers from one of our excellent local restaurants. Our new bathroom features an oversized walk-in shower stall.
The table and chairs sit beside a large picture window where 'early risers' can enjoy a lovely Berkshire sunrise. This also doubles as a useful work surface for e-mailing, writing, etc.
The large victorian porch is actually a garden room with views of colorful perennial beds, woods, and in three seasons a glimpse of the mountain range beyond - the perfect place to read, to talk, or just to relax and enjoy.
This large home was designed and built by a well known Berkshire fine arts painter and has been his home and studio space for over 30 years.

From the house one can take a 20 minute stroll down into town where galleries, speciality shops, restaurants and cafes abound. In summer and fall don't miss our fabulous Saturday morning Farmer's Market, complete with live music and food stalls frequented by us 'locals'.
At night one might enjoy live jazz with dinner at Castle Street Cafe; performances in the beautifully renovated Mahaiwe Theater; gourmet pizza at Baba Louie's; ice cream at So-Co Creamery; or a first run movie at our Triplex Cinema. All of these (and more) are again within walking distance of the house.
The 'Cultural Berkshires' as she is called, lives up to her name with famous venues like: Tanglewood (summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra); Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival; Shakespeare & Company; Berkshire Theater Festival; the Norman Rockwell Museum; and Kripalu to name but a few. All of these are an easy drive from the house.
Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy numerous hikes, walks, parks, lakes, and house and garden tours. Visit the Berkshire Botanical Garden especially during it's Fall festival. Hike Monument Mountain with it grand views of the Berkshires and Catskills made most famous by Berkshire writers Melville and Hawthorne. In winter enjoy downhill and cross country skiing and snow shoeing.
Lake Mansfield is just 4 blocks away with its town beach as well as a boat launch for your kayaks and canoes.

The space
Our Airbnb is an apartment attached to our home with a separate entrance accessible through the backyard. The studio features a kitchen area with a fridge and oven, a dining table, and a convenient pullout couch (perfect for the kids). Enjoy a restful night's sleep on the comfortable queen bed.
Please note that we live next to train tracks. The train goes by approximately once per day, though there is no set time.

You'll have access to the backyard and the studio apartment. There are 3 stairs leading up to a deck required to access the unit.

Stay in a secluded log cabin in the woods! Our rustic, comfortable and welcoming cabin is a perfect getaway from city life. Enjoy all that the Berkshires have to offer from a quiet hill just outside the hubbub of town. This cabin was built by our parents and has a lot of personality!

The space
Our parents built this log cabin in 1976 and it still has the classic rustic vibe. The circular staircase is in the center of the cabin

There are two bedrooms upstairs and a downstairs bedroom with a loft bed.

The kitchen is fully equipped and the fridge is brand new.

There is a unique wooden dining table with benches built when the cabin was constructed.

The cozy living room has a large window and four other windows along with a woodburning stove (use with permission only).

With amenities, such as electric heat, hot running water, and a full bathroom, your stay will be comfortable.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire cabin and surrounding property.

A few things to note:
-We do not have air conditioning.
-We do not have a dishwasher.
-We do not have laundry on the premises but there is a laundromat in town.
-You will need to bring your own linens (sheets, pillow cases, towels, kitchen towels etc.)
-We have a problem with bears and the garbage so you will need to take your garbage/recycling with you or there are a couple of other options we can tell you about.
-Use of the woodburning stove is by permission only.

Relax in the Berkshires at this peaceful riverside retreat with a sauna. The guesthouse is an attached wing of a private residence with separate entrance and lots of privacy. With a beautiful 4 acre grounds next to the lush clean Green river for dipping, it is great for everyone! The land opens to an expansive bucolic view of the valley and mountains. 8 minutes to the town of Great Barrington, 10 min to Catamount Ski area, and under 20 min from many more southern Berkshire attractions.

As you approach 65 Pumpkin Hollow Road, you will pass over a small bridge. The property is directly after the bridge on the right hand side, a white house with a U-shaped driveway. Take the second driveway entrance after the bridge (near a red three bay garage).

You can pull into the parking spot which is on the left side of the house when you are facing it.

Take the stone foot path around the left (North) side of the house and it will bring you ti the back side of the house where the entrance is.

Our simple and comfy cottage at the end of the road is in a lovely grove of 100 foot pines. It is 100 yards from Lake Buel with kayaking, swimming and fishing. The water front has steps to enter the lake, a picnic table and grassy space in sun or shade. Lots of private outdoor space on our property, a screen porch and large deck. Indoor and outdoor hot water showers.
Note: the State of Mass. now requires guests to pay a 12.45% short-term rental tax which would be added to your rental fee.

The space

Our homey classic Berkshire cottage is cool, private and quiet. It is only 6.5 miles from Great Barrington and 12 miles from Tanglewood.
The cottage is equipped with two kayaks conveniently stored at lake-side. Lake Buel is a mile long and is very clean, being fed by two mountain springs. The kitchen has plenty of counter space, updated cabinets, new stove and plenty of pots, pans and utensils. The second bedroom has two twin beds. There's lots of natural light in both bedrooms. The cottage has cathedral ceiling with three skylights and a sliding door in the living room leading to the large deck. There is also a screened porch for dining or relaxing. The cottage has indoor and outdoor hot water showers.
We are located a short distance from an Appalachian Train head, 3.5 miles from Monterey village and 5 miles from Tyringham Cobble, a true scenic wonder with great hiking.
Several other lakes and swimming/fishing ponds are a short drive away.

A private, centrally located 1-bedroom apartment suite in 1888 owner-occupied Carriage House, set up on a hill off the road in the beautiful Berkshire Hills. 4 min. to downtown Gt. Barrington. Although the apartment is in the same building, it has a totally separate access via a long deck with privacy, mostly surrounded by trees. In the summertime, the apartment remains cool from all the shade, but there is an air conditioner in the bedroom.

The space
Shed your tensions, rest, enjoy this beautiful area & rejuvenate! Light and comfortable, the private apartment consists of a comfortably furnished living/dining area, electric fireplace, desk, dining table/chairs, TV, DVD player, and WiFi. There is a small but well-equipped kitchenette, including pots and pans, dishes, mini fridge, stove and sink, silverware; a bedroom with comfortable queen mattress, a/c, closet, linens, and bath including towels, soaps, paper products, hairdryer & a second closet, with ironing board and iron. A private French door entrance from the living room onto the deck has a table and chairs for outdoor eating or for relaxing summer times.

Efforts to maintain environmentally clean space preclude use of strong perfumes and scented items or smoking. Suitable for 1 or 2 people. Rates change seasonally. Ask. 24 hr. between reservations.

The owner resides in the remainder of the building, which is surrounded by trees, giving the effect of a tree house and utmost privacy.

The Carriage House is also totally accessible to all Berkshire activities and especially those in Great Barrington with many top-notch restaurants, Mahaiwe Theatre performances, the Triplex movie house, Colonial Theatre, Shakespeare Theatre, Arlo Guthrie Music Center, performances at the gazebo, Yiddish Theatre, Norman Rockwell Museum, summer art and street fairs, as well as summer theatres, fall Harvest Festival, winter Norman Rockwell Christmas, skiing at Catamount (8 mi.) or Butternut (2 mi.) or Bosquet (24 mi.). Hiking trails and canoeing down the Housatonic. Visit historic homes and Berkshire Cottages - fall homes of the Newport Mansion society. Many shops, grocery and organic food stores and restaurants. Outdoor dining on the street with buskers on weekends. It's 4-5 minutes to center of town by car or a pleasant 15+ minute walk. Rejuvenate next door at Body and Soul for a selection of massages or facials. It is 10 minutes to Stockbridge; 18 minutes to Lenox to practice yoga at Kripalu or take a workshop. 25 minutes to Salisbury, Ct. Further south a bit to Lime Rock Park auto racing.

Masks required most places, and some require proof of vaccinations. Look up on individual websites, such as the Colonial Theatre, Mahaiwe, etc. and some restaurants as well.

There is a long deck outside the apartment (2 steps up)which guests can use, with table and chairs for outside eating in warmer months. Winter months skiis can be left here. Parking. Good tires advised for winter on uphill driveway. Please check pricing which changes seasonally. Ask for weekly or monthly rates. They change seasonally.

Please note: Airbnb does not set up a place to put in changing rates seasonally. but are indicated on calendar. Gt. Barrington has a room tax of 6.25% and Airbnb adds and collects those charges.

Because of Covid and extensive cleaning, there must be 24 hrs. between guests, unless separate arrangement made with host. Time is needed in these circumstances to properly prepare for each guest.
