If you don’t want or need to cook in the kitchen, there are a couple of eateries within close walking distance with others at further walking/driving distances. During our two night mid week stay it was very quiet even though the Inn is off of a very busy local street. This property looks to be well used over many years and is kept to a relatively high standard of cleanliness and comfort. We had never used this type of remote check in/keyless service but it worked very well. At one point, I had to contact the Inn via phone and was able to speak with someone right away. I would not hesitate to stay here in the future. "

Greetings from John at the American House! This is the perfect getaway to destress and relax! This is an original Lincoln Logs home, nestled in two and a half acres of private woodland, with 100 feet of lake frontage. No noisy omotorboats at this end of the lake, just lots of wildlife and an occasional canoe or kayak. A hand crafted canoe is ready for your enjoyment, as well as 3 kayaks. Very private property with almost anything you may need provided down by the water, including an outdoor screen with projector and a dock for launching the canoe and kayaks. Check out the pictures!

Cabin sleeps five, with a queen bed in the master bedroom on main floor, a double log bed and a queen bed in the loft, as well as a twin rollaway in walk in closet. The bathroom is off the spacious den. There is an air conditioner in the master bedroom. Normally the cabin stays quite cool by following a few easy tips. Please help yourselves to the well stocked kitchen and linens. A brand new gas stove is in kitchen. Large TV in the den with lots of movies to watch. Two twelve by twelve foot Canopies right on the water with a stocked fire pit and hammocks nearby. Electricity, WIFI, refrigerator and rain barrel all conveniently located. Large outdoor screen with Bluetooth speaker for viewing movies or concerts also down by the water. New, a private screened gazebo right on the water with a gas firepit 100 ft from the main area (where the tent used to be).

This home has been 100% remodeled! With a beautiful spot directly on Lake Pontoosuc, the new kitchen, bathrooms, fireplace and glass enclosed family room all benefit from the idyllic scenery. There's a view from every room! The home has 5 bedrooms and a convertible playroom with a futon in it. 2 bedrooms have bunk beds plus a full size bed in them. 2 bedrooms have king sized beds and 1 has a queen. The master suite has an en-suite bathroom and it's own balcony overlooking the lake. There's plenty of room for 14-15 guests. Comfortable, quiet home in Pittsfield minutes from Tanglewood, Berkshire Theater Festivals and other year round attractions. Oldest one room school house in New England and listed as a U.S. National Historic Place. Built in 1825 and rebuilt 1843 after a fire. Morewood has been used continually by the community until being converted to a private residence in 1985. The home was completely renovated in 2010 with glass and tile bathroom and updates throughout the 1000 square foot interior located in the middle of an acre wooded lot on a quiet mountain road. The bedroom with a queen sized bed is on the ground floor next to the bathroom with a closet and electric heater. The ground floor has the bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, the original blackboard, very large windows, a great room with dining table for eight, gas ceramic stove, sofa and TV/DVD and bedroom for two. The sofa can be converted to a queen size bed for guests or kids or to sleep in front the fireplace in the winter. The bedroom in the loft above the great room has twin beds, a Roku TV, closet and AC window unit. The wooded lot is fenced in for pet safety with a pond and running brook on two sides. Beautiful lake front house on 1.7 wooded acres on a very quiet end of Onota Lake. A long driveway takes you to this lovely 5 bedroom home equipped with all modern conveniences and comfort. A large lawn rolls to the lake which is on two sides of the house. There are two docks and small beach. Canoe, kayak, fish, and swim right from our docks and beach during the day and spend your evenings at local theater or Tanglewood. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, one with a king bed and two with queen beds. One of the queen bedrooms has an outdoor balcony and the king room has a sun porch with nice views of the lake. . Down by lake there is a screened in boat house with chairs to relax in.

- "The property is wonderful. First off there is a LARGE lawn, 2 canoes and at least 4 kayaks (and a paddle board) including one 2 person. The lake is really scenic and big and NOT swarming with motor boats like other lakes in the area. The water in clean and clear. Quiet neighbors and not too close to each other. There's also a dock on the property where some of us went fishing. There's a small sandy entrance to the lake right on the property which was wonderful for the little ones.House is very roomy, modern in appliances and the "look" and also very. comfortable, with lots of nice and thoughtful touches. Tons of DVDs, books, modern TV and very good streaming options. There is even a den with lots of kids' toys, books and another TV .Owner went above and beyond in many ways, including having first aid- bandages and topical meds. THere's a nice little playground on the lawn and a high quality grill also, that we used a fair bit. Every bedroom has a modern a/c unit. The beds are very comfortable and there's tons of towels etc. Good sized fridge. Big Y is just a few minutes away and a there's a nice variety of take in restaurants close by. The town itself is close by and on rainy days we found lots to do. Shaker village is very interesting to see and there's a multiplex small cinema that is very comfortable and shows the latest films for those rainy days. Owner was very accessible and always answered promptly. Also gave us other seasonal suggestions. Try it, you'll like it!"

We spent our days at the lake, kayaking, fishing and swimming. (There were plenty of kayaks and SUPs.) At night we gathered in the finished basement for a shuffleboard tournament, at the large fire pit on the patio, or played games upstairs. While there's an abundance of outdoor seating areas on the deck and patio, we are glad to have brought our own camp chairs to use lakeside as there is no seating there. (Not a complaint, just a tip for anyone planning to stay.) The only area we think that could be improved upon is to add an umbrella for some shade on the deck so it can be enjoyed during the day. This house was very clean and well-appointed and Raphael was very responsive to any questions we had, both pre-visit and during. We will go back!"

Julie and Andy have spent the last 3 years doing a complete renovation to their vacation home rental named Jandie's, to make it a clean, safe place for families and individuals to enjoy the Berkshires.

Kids and adults of all ages will love spending time in this ENORMOUS yard. If the season is right, you might even be able to pick your own blueberries right in the backyard!

The eastern views include beautiful sunrises and water views of the Tracy Brook Wildlife Sanctuary just across the street, where there is an active Heron nesting site & beaver dam. There are also ducks, geese, fish, frogs & peepers!

If you have to spend time in the kitchen on vacation, it should be a dream. The brand-new kitchen has custom cabinetry, modern appliances & is fully equipped!
You can also enjoy grilling on the deck right off the kitchen, with views the Berkshires are known for.

Brand new construction directly on Lake Pontoosuc. This home sleeps 14 guests. There is a brand new chef’s kitchen! There are spectacular lake views from wherever you stand. A family room as well as an extra den/game room area. The house offers a side deck with a BBQ that gets sun all day long. There is also a shaded patio are in the back. But the icing on the cake is the bird’s nest on the top floor that looks out over the entire lake and has a outdoor fireplace. It is a really special spot. This home is available for renting Sunday to Sunday during the summer months.

Wildlife: This is a home in a rural part of the country. You may see wildlife including deer, coyotes, foxes, and bears. Please be mindful of your surroundings and leaving out food and trash. There are Highland cows next door that you may see come to the property line fence. Please do not touch / feed them.

Weather: In the winter, there will be snow, ice, and occasional snowstorms. We recommend driving a vehicle with AWD or 4WD. Please drive with caution and be prepared with regards to the ability of your vehicle to drive in the snow.

Power & Internet: This is a rural part of the country. You may lose power or internet during inclement weather. We do not issue refunds for loss of power or internet out of our control.

Air Conditioning: There's a total of 4 window AC units: in the living-room, dining-room, master bedroom and bunk bedroom. AC availability is seasonal and depending on weather (late spring and summer). Heating is also seasonal, and depending on weather, available during the cold seasons (autumn-winter).

Pool: The pool opens after Memorial Day weekend and closes on October 13th. We recommend contacting us prior to booking to confirm the pool's availability during your stay

Pets: We’re happy to welcome your pup to the home. There’s a $150 fee plus tax for the first dog, and $50 plus tax for each additional one. If you’re planning to bring more than three, just check in with us first so we can coordinate with the homeowner. For everyone’s comfort, we kindly ask that dogs stay leashed outdoors and that you clean up after them. Please note that cats aren’t permitted due to allergy concerns. Any pet-related damages may result in additional charges.

A lovely colonial at the end of a quiet cul de sac with central air conditioning for summer nights & all the fixings to get warm & cozy after a day on the slopes.

The main floor of this home includes a fully equipped kitchen with a viking range perfect for cooking meals at home. A small dining area in the kitchen seats 4 guests with the formal dining room seating an additional 8 guests. The family room features gorgeous mountain views, plenty of comfortable seating, large TV and sound system. and a wood burning fireplace. Enjoy your morning coffee in the light filled screened in porch off of the family room.

An additional sitting room houses a wood stove and a collection of board games. It is adjacent to the music room which contains a beautiful piano and additional seating. The French doors off of this room lead into the library that houses some of the extensive book collection in the home. The library also doubles as the first floor bedroom with a queen sized bed. Also on the first floor is a full bath with a walk in shower and washer/dryer unit.

The second floor of this home contains the other four bedrooms. The primary bedroom and ensuite bathroom contains a king sized bed, TV, walk in closet, and a desk perfect for a private work space. The second and third bedrooms both feature queen sized beds. The final bedroom includes two twin XL beds both with twin trundle beds, accommodating up to four guests. An additional full guest bath with a tub/shower combo is located on this floor.

The basement of this home features a home gym, bar, pool table, and ping pong table. A tv area with kids games/play area is also located in the lower level.

We have allergies in our family and do not, under any circumstances, allow pets that shed (even in the case of a service animal). Any pets must be under 50 lbs and fully housebroken/trained. If you'd like you to bring your pet, please let us know so we can ensure they are safe at our unique property.
PARKING: Free parking on premises.
HOT TUB: Please keep the hot tub closed when not in use. Make sure the jets are off before you close up. Be aware of the potential health risks associated with hot tubs before you use it, and use at your own risk.
*Please note that the fire pit may not be cleared in winter months due to heavy snows. Shovels will be available in the event that the fire pit is buried!

- "This was a great place to stay for a family group, a bunch of friends, several couples. It wasnt good for us because we are too old to deal with all the steps. The house is on top of a hilly street, with a beautiful view to October Mountain, and is landscaped to perfection, and has a whole bunch of recreational features and cozy sitting areas, but there are steps to enter the house, steps to get to the deck, steps to the very nice bedrooms, steps to throw out the trash, etc. We recommend this house without reservation, as long as you are ok with stairs!"

Should you blow a fuse, you can go into the basement, open breaker panel "1" and flip the tripped fuse back on.

Garbage
You are responsible for removing your own trash. This not only includes the trash in your room but in the kitchen trash can as well. There is a trash barrel just located outside behind the building in the parking lot labeled "Unit 1".

Trash pickup is every Tuesday morning so please make sure the 2 trash barrels as well as the recycling bins are put outside in the front of the building every Monday night. Once the City of Pittsfield picks up the trash, please return the 2 barrels (and recycling bin) back to their original locations behind the building.

Parking
Each room has their own personal parking spot. Your vehicle needs to be BACKED in with the front of the vehicle facing outwards.

Security
You will be provided a wireless key fob to access the automatic gate opener. You will find the key fob on your nightstand in your bedroom when you first check. Please leave the key fob on the nightstand in your room when you finally checkout. Should you lose the key fob please report it immediately and i will give you a new one. However, you will be charged a $50 replacement fee. There are also 4 outside cameras that record VIDEO & AUDIO. IF there is a problem, please let me know right away and i will review the footage.

Security Deposit

Private room on second floor of home built in 1800 and owned by local artist. There are two shared bathroom, one on each floor. Home is in the heart of the Berkshire and includes spacious yard and is next door to a park. Walking distance to downtown, shops, and restaurants. There are many places for hiking, mountain views, lakes for swimming, boating, kayaking, and waterskiing. Two local ski areas nearby. Cultural area flourishing with art. 9 miles from Kripalu and 8.2 miles from Tanglewood.

The space
Two-story home built in 1800 owned by a local artist. There is a deck for outdoor enjoyment during the warmer months and a spacious yard. Parking is available at the far end of the driveway. The room is on the second floor and includes a double bed, a dresser, a desk and a closet for guest use. There are towels and washcloths in the room and a mirror.

There is a microwave in the kitchen that can be used for heating food and a tea kettle for heating water. I can provide a small coffee maker if needed. Guests may also utilize a small space in the refrigerator and freezer for storing food. You are welcome to eat at the kitchen table if you choose. I only ask that you clean the kitchen area after each use. There are cleaning supplies and sanitizer at the sink area and in a cabinet below the sink.

We are 15-25 minutes from Tanglewood, Kripalu, Mt Greylock, the Rockwell Museum, MassMoCA, skiing and hiking. Our home is centrally located to all of the fun things to do in the Berkshires. The large guest suite/studio is perfect for three people with a comfortable and luxurious king-sized bed, twin bed and plus a queen-sized air mattress can be added to accommodate more guests. The spacious room also offers a private full bath, seating area (loveseat, TV and coffee table ), office space (desk with comfortable chair) plus a large walk-in closet for your belongings. A mini-refrigerator and microwave is provided to guests as well as coffee, tea and a light breakfast of homemade banana bread, oatmeal and other snacks. The guest room is located on our second floor so there are steps to get into our home as well as into the guest area.

This beautiful, charming Victorian mansion is right off North Street, steps from the Colonial Theatre, Berkshire Museum, and Atheneum. All of Downtown Pittsfield is accessible within a 20 minute walk.

The property has some lovely shared spaces: a parlor, living room with large television, dining room with self-service coffee/hot drink station, kitchen, and laundry room. There is ample space for you to cook and/or store food.

Other things to note
This is an old house with lots of charm and character, but like many houses over 100 years old, it's got some quirks:
- The floors have not been finished in awhile, so we recommend you keep your shoes on outside the bedroom (or wear rubber-soled slippers)
- The radiators are not always 100% operational, therefore we have electric heaters in the bedrooms as a back-up

If you notice anything that seems unsafe or in urgent need of repair, please report it and we'll have it taken care of ASAP

Corner/Turret room that's large, sunny, and full of windows, which are covered with privacy film. There is a king-sized bed with a brand new memory foam mattress, AC unit, radiator, large closet, wardrobe and dresser, loveseat and a couch that folds out to a double bed.

Upon request, another single bed can be brought in.

Your room and all exterior doors will be programmed with an exclusive access code that you'll be given prior to arrival. (And all prior guest codes removed.)

The space
This beautiful, charming Victorian mansion is right off North Street, steps from the Colonial Theatre, Berkshire Museum, and Atheneum. All of Downtown Pittsfield is accessible within a 20 minute walk.

The property has some lovely shared spaces: a parlor, living room with large television, dining room with self-service coffee/hot drink station, kitchen, and laundry room. There is ample space for you to cook and/or store food.

Guest access
You are welcome to use the upstairs sitting area/reading nook, as well as all shared spaces downstairs: the parlor, living room, dining room, fully-equiped kitchen, laundry room, and backyard.
We have a gravel parking lot in back where there is plenty of room for you to park.

During your stay
I live on site and will be happy to assist you with any trouble.

Other things to note
This is an old house with lots of charm and character, but like many houses over 100 years old, it's got some quirks:
- The floors have not been finished in awhile, so we recommend you keep your shoes on outside the bedroom (or wear rubber-soled slippers)
- The dedicated bathroom has a bathtub, but not a shower. (The shared bath downstairs does have a shower as well as a bathtub.)
- The radiators are not always 100% operational, therefore we have electric heaters in the bedrooms as a back-up

If you notice anything that seems unsafe or in urgent need of repair, please report it and we'll have it taken care of ASAP

We're close to Tanglewood, Berkshire Theatre, The Colonial Theatre, Barrington Stage, Berkshire Museum and Jiminy Peak. Plenty of off street parking.

Guest access
You will have your own private access to your apartment with your own key code. No keys are necessary. Motion detection lights will come on as you enter the house.

Other things to note
There is a bakery, coffee shop, pizza, sub shop, deli, UPS, convenience stores, banks, pharmacy and a playground within walking distance from the house. We are located about 2 miles from where Herman Melville got his inspiration to write, "Moby Dick".

A note on accessibility: This is a second floor apartment and stairs are required to enter. In addition to this we have a lovely clawfoot tub that is great for soaking but not great for those with certain disabilities. We are always willing to try to accommodate our guests needs but please reach out ahead of booking if you need something specific.

You'll be renting 1 bedroom w/queen bed.I ask guests to remove shoes upon entering home, foot coverings available if you forget flip flops/slippers. Please note: no breakfast included and TV/wi-fi are currently unavailable, please take note of this before booking.
Guests will have full access to eat-in kitchen, living room and reading room. Though breakfast is not included, a coffee & coffee maker, tea & pot, dishes and pans will be available for your full use.
Nearly across the street from Berkshire Medical Center, blocks and/or minutes from the small downtown and all it has to offer...theater, museum, galleries, coffee houses, tapas & wine bar, yoga studio, Pontoosuc lake, as well as Lenox, Stockbridge and Williamstown.
Within walking distance to many attractions and situated directly on bus route.

Your bedroom is upstairs, however, your private bathroom is downstairs, off of the kitchen.

Other things to note
Please remove shoes upon entering. House slippers are more than welcome, just no shoes inside of the house. Iron, ironing board in office/walk in upstairs closet area. Please call/text if anything else is needed. Parking is to the right side of the house, enough for 2 cars. Entrance is only from the front, as there's no light in the back, so please remember to put the porch light on before you leave in the evening.
