Newly renovated 3rd fl apt in beautiful South Salem, close to picturesque Salem Harbor. Private unit, with its own entrance is bright and inviting. Unit is ultra clean. Enjoy the outdoors, walk 1/4 mile down a tree-line street to Forest River Park, Pioneer Village; 15-20 min walk to downtown Salem. Tour PEM museum, Dine overlooking waterfront. 27 Restaurants most with outdoor dining within 1/2 mile.

The space
Apartment is totally separate and private from host/owners who live on the 1st and 2nd floors. We are there if you need anything but will respect your privacy. Pea stone path leads to private entrance. No shared common spaces--it's all yours for the duration of your stay. There are stairs that lead up to the unit's exterior door, followed by a set of stairs to the second floor hallway, then the stairs to the 3rd floor apartment--3 flights in total.
Neighborhood is pleasant and safe, located on a busy street, but once inside the apartment, you will feel tranquil as house is well insulated. Kitchen is compact but mightily equipped. We have available: pots and pans, Keurig, spices, and other basics. Plus the unit is equipped with a glass top 4-burner electric range cooktop and a counter top Caphalon compact oven for roasting, broiling and baking. Other high end features include: Tuft and Needle mattresses, high thread count sheets, large walk-in shower, filtered water, Amazon Fire for 47" TV, high speed Xfinity internet. Driveway parking is available if you need it. Ample street parking on opposite side of street is also available.

Guest access
Many guests like to walk downtown (15-20 min), or drive (3-5 min) or take an Uber ($5-7) once the crowds appear in the fall! We have a Dunkin Donuts, Bagel World, and a new Starbucks, within a 3-5 minute walk of our place, 1-2 min drive. New Jaho Coffee is across the street—2 min walk. Nice neighborhood in South Salem. Lots of foot traffic, University students.

Parking is available in our driveway. Two cars can fit, one behind the other if necessary. Might be difficult if they are large trucks though.

Note: the apartment has fit five (5) people very comfortably but some thought the convertible chair in Bedroom 1 was a twin bed. It is more akin to a small/twin futon/cot. The convertible bed is perfect for a child, smaller adult, or small teen. All bedding is included.

Our favorite feature of the apartment is the towel warmer in the bathroom and the filtered water in the kitchen. Another key feature of the apartment that scores high on the list is the Tuft and Needle queen mattresses in both bedrooms. Super comfortable!

We are located across the street from Salem State University and often have college families book our space during key events like admission tours, homecoming weekends, or graduations.

We have hosted couples for their weddings, engagements, milestone birthdays, and even bucket list visitors--we aim to make each stay special.

The recently renovated first floor unit within the two-family home provides historic charm with modern amenities showcasing one bedroom with a king bed and water view, a fully equipped kitchen and dining room as well as a full bath with walk-in shower.

Enjoy the open living room with futon sofa and cozy den along with a flexible space that can be utilized as an office. A cot is available for those with three guests. This1890 gem also displays gorgeous hardwood flooring throughout.

Guests have full use of the entire first floor unit, and access to the shared backyard with a water view on the Salem bike path.

One driveway parking space and free street parking for other vehicles on Lemon St. (only resident street parking in October). The driveway is narrow and will not fit large SUVs or trucks, however street parking is also available.

Directions for parking: Driveway is to the right of the home when viewing from Lemon St. Ct. When using GPS, be aware that Lemon Street Court is a short street off of Lemon Street, but these are two different streets. Street parking is not permitted on Lemon St. Ct. and parking fines may be imposed for violations.

The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. I would suggest upgrading that but otherwise everything was great. Parking is tricky but it’s just the style of the area. Nothing can be done and the owners were very accommodating to let us have the parking spot. Once my husband got the trick of it, it was no problem. Apartment is private and on the 1st floor which was perfect for me being disabled. It was also located super close to the main part of Salem but not too noisy. We would definitely recommend this host and the house."

This 2 bedroom apartment is on the first floor of this 1914 three family home (triplex) with lots of character and charm. It is a cozy space with a large comfy sectional couch and smart roku tv where you can login into your amazon prime/netflix/hulu/etc (no cable) accounts. The kitchen is equipped with your essentials such as pots, pans, plates, cups, utensils, a dual coffee maker etc. The master bedroom boasts a luxurious memory foam king-sized bed, while the second bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed and an additional twin bed for extra accommodation. The street is wide with ample free street parking. Washer/Dryer available in the basement. The apartment is ~1,200 sq/ft.

Personal toiletries such as shampoo, condition, body or face products etc are not provided. Starter supply of other essential items only.

There currently isn't any outdoor space offered with the apartment.

There is ample free street parking available. However, in the event of severe snow, the city may enact snow parking bans—this happened twice last year. If a ban is in effect, the host can help coordinate a shared driveway parking arrangement for building guests if needed. - Pets allowed w/ pet fee and must be included on the reservation. Must be House trained. Unauthorized pets/animals brought on property fine $300.

This 2nd floor room, in an 1870s house, is a 10-minute walk to Salem train station; downtown Salem is a 5 minute walk further. Street is quiet and shaded, and across from my house is a large cemetery with many walking paths. There is 1 double bed. Two beautiful orange cats & one lovely orange/white cat also live here.

The space
My private north Salem 1st floor, 1 bedroom apartment is perfect for 2 adults.

*There is an option to add a 3rd guest/older child for an additional $75 per night/$125 per night in October. A pullout twin bed would be added in the living room. Please message me if you want to add this accommodation.

The apartment is .07 miles away from the historic Witch House at 310 Essex St., which is also the start of all the Salem downtown activities. See pic for map.

This is an older home with low ceilings. The average ceiling height in the apartment is between 6'-7" and 6'-9".
*There is a beam that goes across the living room which has a clearance of 6'-1.5" . Please see picture and be mindful to duck if you're taller than that. ;)

The living room has a 50" smart TV.

The bedroom has a queen bed and a 43” smart TV.

Both TVs are logged into my Netflix and MAX accounts. Please use the ABNB profiles only on these apps. Feel free to log into your own accounts or streaming services, too.

The two nightstand lamps include 2 USB ports and 1 outlet each built into the base.

There is a luggage rack for your convenience in the living room.

A/C window units are added during the summer months starting in June and removed in November.

The ¾ bathroom includes toilet paper, hand and bath towels, washcloths, bath mats, shampoo/conditioner, shower gel, lotion, hand soap, Q-tips, Neutrogena makeup remover wipes and a hair dryer.
There are some famine products in the cabinet under the bathroom sink.

There is an iron and ironing board in the closet.

The reasonably equipped eat-in kitchen includes a Keurig and purified water. The kitchen is stocked with the following:

▪︎ Peet's Coffee Major Dickason's ground coffee.
▪︎ Variety of creamers/sweeteners.
▪︎Tea and hot chocolate.

The freezer is usually stocked with a variety of breakfast sandwiches and there are snacks on the kitchen counter.

Parking for guests is in the larger driveway behind the blue spruce only. See picture for clarity. There's also plenty of free street parking.

*DO NOT smoke pot (or cigarettes) in my home. I will know. Please don't test me on this. Unscented vaping in OK. Apologies for the tone, but this has been an ongoing issue.

Smoking of any kind is OK in the private yard just outside the apartment’s back door. A cigarette receptacle and covered ashtray are provided.

In the winter months the heat does not go above 70°.

Please make sure to shut off the backyard outdoor lite as it bothers the neighbors if it's on all night.


Salem is a beautiful, historic city—but the houses are extremely close together, and sound carries easily. Our neighborhood is quiet, and my neighbors value their peace and privacy.

You’re welcome to enjoy the backyard , but please be mindful of the following:

• Keep voices low at all times
• No phones on speaker or music/audio on speakers—use headphones
• Quiet Hours: 9 PM – 8 AM

Large private room with king bed and private bath in a large suite. Come enjoy the wonderful historic City of Salem. We are a short 10 minute walk to downtown Salem and a 7 minute walk to the MBTA station to Boston(south) and Rockport (north). Our quiet neighborhood is a wonderful retreat after a long day of travel or touring. We have 2 friendly cats (our house elfs) named Paisey and Alley. Plenty of street parking available.

Cozy two bedrooms in the heart of Salem. The condo is steps from The House of Seven Gables and a few minutes walk to other historical sites. We are also a short walk to the commuter rail heading to Boston.

We are located in the heart of Salem, a few minutes walk to historical sites, local restaurants and bars. The commuter rail is 0.8mile away (15mins walk) if you ever want to go to Boston and explore.

You will have your own private bedrooms with a queen size mattress in each room, access to private bathroom that’s not connected to the bedrooms. The living room on the main floor is for guests and you’ll be sharing the kitchen with the host.

Our condo is on the second floor, you have to climb a flight of stairs to get to our front door. It’s not suitable for handicaps or small children.

Parking : We have a dedicated parking spot in the driveway for guests, mini vans and trucks might have a hard time getting in and out (we have parking pass if you need it). The spot is on the right hand side of the building please make sure you leave enough space to the left for our neighbor’s car.

We live in this home as our primary residence. On Sunday we will be using the kitchen to prep our meal for the week, we will be sharing the kitchen with you so you might see us here and there.

THE SPACE

Welcome to "Bewitching Salem Suite"

Your temporary "home away from home" is a charming, historic 3-story townhome, built circa 1897. Fabulous location just off Salem Common, bordering the historic district, 3 houses up from a small neighborhood beach & walking path & a short stroll to everything that makes Salem fun.

Cozy, clean and bright w/21 (!) windows and all wood floors. I like to think it's got a "homey" vibe while still being fresh & uncluttered.

I'm a frustrated interior designer at heart (my not-so-secret dream is to have my own HGTV show) and had a lot of fun furnishing the home with repurposed antiques and other fun pieces to create a welcoming & comfortable guest suite.

THE LAYOUT:

1st FLOOR (shared space when owner is in town): LR/ Kitchen

2nd FLOOR: Large Bath w/Tub (shared), Owner's Bedroom

3rd FLOOR: Your guest space is on its own floor, which makes it very private. As you climb up the stairs to the 3rd floor, you'll enter directly into a little bedroom I like to call "The Library" (no door at the top of stairs.) This is one of my favorite spots in the house: a cozy mahogany daybed under two windows that overlook historic Salem rooftops- the perfect spot to curl up with a cup of tea and a good book.

From this room, there are french doors leading into the spacious adjoining master with an extremely comfortable queen-sized aerobed bed (mattress w/adjustable firmness) 3" therapedic topper & high-quality linens) a large executive desk with excellent WIFI, romantic faux fireplace w/remote, & 6 windows (one w/a peek of the water.)

The space you will be occupying is technically ONE bedroom (but is divided into 2 adjoining rooms - each of which has a bed in it) .

This is a true home away from home, and you will have access to everything with the exception of owner's room.

Your suite is on the 3rd floor. The 2nd floor bath and 1st floor common areas are shared with your hostess. You will have a dedicated private medicine cabinet and large storage cabinet for your toiletries in the bathroom.

Full kitchen use with all pots/pans/supplies provided (please avoid bringing products containing pork or shellfish into the house.)

Plenty of easy, free street parking available.

During your stay
I truly enjoy hosting. Happy to socialize or to give you your space- your choice.

Since this is a longer-term situation and I reside in the home, some communication is required to establish compatibility before booking. References as well as a copy of your Driver's License may be requested and depending on length of stay, you may be asked to sign a rental agreement.

Guests are welcome to watch the large flat screen TV in the living room (I have a Roku player w/tons of free programming & movies) or stream from your own laptop upstairs (there is no tv on the 3rd floor).

Your space is quite private as it's on its own floor. There is no door from the 3rd floor landing into the small bedroom. French doors separate the small bedroom into the large master.

My home is a 20 minute walk to downtown historic Salem. Many guests take Uber/lyft and Salem skipper to get downtown in minutes. Salem is also a 30 minute drive or train ride (from Salem train station) or Salem ferry to Boston!! Also some of my guests take day trips to great northern coastal towns such as Gloucester, Newburyport, Rockport and Hampton Beach! You can even check out coastal spots in Maine with a 50 mile ride.
I I live in a quiet community with a plenty of parking.

The space
The private room has Utube TV and access to Netflix. Wifi is available. It has a very comfortable queen size bed. The bathroom is right next to the bedroom.
I also provide bed linens, towels, hair dryer, iron and ironing board.

I have coffee/tea available in the morning. You are free to keep food and any snacks/drinks in the refrigerator. You also have access to back porch for relaxing.

During your stay
Generally I will be available to greet you and get you settled. If my schedule does not coincide with your arrival I will be sure to give you instructions on entering my secure house and getting settled in your room
