Newly renovated 3rd fl apt in beautiful South Salem, close to picturesque Salem Harbor. Private unit, with its own entrance is bright and inviting. Unit is ultra clean. Enjoy the outdoors, walk 1/4 mile down a tree-line street to Forest River Park, Pioneer Village; 15-20 min walk to downtown Salem. Tour PEM museum, Dine overlooking waterfront. 27 Restaurants most with outdoor dining within 1/2 mile.

The space
Apartment is totally separate and private from host/owners who live on the 1st and 2nd floors. We are there if you need anything but will respect your privacy. Pea stone path leads to private entrance. No shared common spaces--it's all yours for the duration of your stay. There are stairs that lead up to the unit's exterior door, followed by a set of stairs to the second floor hallway, then the stairs to the 3rd floor apartment--3 flights in total.
Neighborhood is pleasant and safe, located on a busy street, but once inside the apartment, you will feel tranquil as house is well insulated. Kitchen is compact but mightily equipped. We have available: pots and pans, Keurig, spices, and other basics. Plus the unit is equipped with a glass top 4-burner electric range cooktop and a counter top Caphalon compact oven for roasting, broiling and baking. Other high end features include: Tuft and Needle mattresses, high thread count sheets, large walk-in shower, filtered water, Amazon Fire for 47" TV, high speed Xfinity internet. Driveway parking is available if you need it. Ample street parking on opposite side of street is also available.

Guest access
Many guests like to walk downtown (15-20 min), or drive (3-5 min) or take an Uber ($5-7) once the crowds appear in the fall! We have a Dunkin Donuts, Bagel World, and a new Starbucks, within a 3-5 minute walk of our place, 1-2 min drive. New Jaho Coffee is across the street—2 min walk. Nice neighborhood in South Salem. Lots of foot traffic, University students.

Parking is available in our driveway. Two cars can fit, one behind the other if necessary. Might be difficult if they are large trucks though.

This apartment is exceptionally clean:
We sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknobs

We provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay if you would like

Note: the apartment has fit five (5) people very comfortably but some thought the convertible chair in Bedroom 1 was a twin bed. It is more akin to a small/twin futon/cot. The convertible bed is perfect for a child, smaller adult, or small teen. All bedding is included.

Our favorite feature of the apartment is the towel warmer in the bathroom and the filtered water in the kitchen. Another key feature of the apartment that scores high on the list is the Tuft and Needle queen mattresses in both bedrooms. Super comfortable!

We are located across the street from Salem State University and often have college families book our space during key events like admission tours, homecoming weekends, or graduations.

We have hosted couples for their weddings, engagements, milestone birthdays, and even bucket list visitors--we aim to make each stay special.

This 2 bedroom apartment in this 1914 New England charming 3 family house is located on a tree lined historical residential neighborhood close to parks, beaches, many tourist attractions, Salem University and downtown. You will find locals walking their pups, riding biking, and many other outdoor activities.

This 2 bedroom apartment is on the first floor of this 1914 three family home (triplex) with lots of character and charm. It is a cozy space with a large comfy sectional couch and smart roku tv where you can login into your amazon prime/netflix/hulu/etc (no cable) accounts. The kitchen is equipped with your essentials such as pots, pans, plates, cups, utensils, a dual coffee maker etc. The master bedroom boasts a luxurious memory foam king-sized bed, while the second bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed and an additional twin bed for extra accommodation. The street is wide with ample free street parking. Washer/Dryer available in the basement. The apartment is ~1,200 sq/ft.

The house accommodates a maximum of 5 guests only.

Washer/Dryer are in the unfinished basement. It is not in the unit.

Personal toiletries such as shampoo, condition, body or face products etc are not provided. Starter supply of other essential items only.

There currently isn't any outdoor space offered with the apartment.

Fireplace is not operable.

There is ample free street parking available. However, in the event of severe snow, the city may enact snow parking bans—this happened twice last year. If a ban is in effect, the host can help coordinate a shared driveway parking arrangement for building guests if needed. Please note that snow removal service scheduling is beyond the host’s control, so we appreciate your patience during winter weather.

- Staying beyond check-out time (10:00 am) w/o prior approval fine: 150/hr. This is out of respect for our cleaners and their schedule and time.
- Guests beyond 5 not recorded in booking or approved by host fine: 300. Only 5 guests are accommodated.
- Pets allowed w/ pet fee and must be included on the reservation. Must be House trained. Unauthorized pets/animals brought on property fine $300.

- Surveillance cameras are placed on the exterior of the house only. (Ring doorbell)
- Please don't accumulate trash bags inside and/or around the home. If you use more than 1 trash bag, please put that full trash bag/s in the black bins (1 or 3) to the left of the house. Leaving trash bags out of the trash cans exposes the home to bugs, smells etc.
- Restocking of items is currently not available throughout the stay. A good starter kit is supplied.

The space
My private north Salem 1st floor, 1 bedroom apartment is perfect for 2 adults.

*There is an option to add a 3rd guest/older child for an additional $75 per night/$125 per night in October. A pullout twin bed would be added in the living room. Please message me if you want to add this accommodation.

The apartment is .07 miles away from the historic Witch House at 310 Essex St., which is also the start of all the Salem downtown activities. See pic for map.

This is an older home with low ceilings. The average ceiling height in the apartment is between 6'-7" and 6'-9".
*There is a beam that goes across the living room which has a clearance of 6'-1.5" . Please see picture and be mindful to duck if you're taller than that. ;)

The living room has a 50" smart TV.

The bedroom has a queen bed and a 43” smart TV.

Both TVs are logged into my Netflix and MAX accounts. Please use the ABNB profiles only on these apps. Feel free to log into your own accounts or streaming services, too.

The two nightstand lamps include 2 USB ports and 1 outlet each built into the base.

There is a luggage rack for your convenience in the living room.

A/C window units are added during the summer months starting in June and removed in November.

The ¾ bathroom includes toilet paper, hand and bath towels, washcloths, bath mats, shampoo/conditioner, shower gel, lotion, hand soap, Q-tips, Neutrogena makeup remover wipes and a hair dryer.
There are some famine products in the cabinet under the bathroom sink.

There is an iron and ironing board in the closet.

The reasonably equipped eat-in kitchen includes a Keurig and purified water. The kitchen is stocked with the following:

We are located in the heart of Salem, a few minutes walk to historical sites, local restaurants and bars. The commuter rail is 0.8mile away (15mins walk) if you ever want to go to Boston and explore.

You will have your own private bedrooms with a queen size mattress in each room, access to private bathroom that’s not connected to the bedrooms. The living room on the main floor is for guests and you’ll be sharing the kitchen with the host.

Our condo is on the second floor, you have to climb a flight of stairs to get to our front door. It’s not suitable for handicaps or small children.

Parking : We have a dedicated parking spot in the driveway for guests, mini vans and trucks might have a hard time getting in and out (we have parking pass if you need it). The spot is on the right hand side of the building please make sure you leave enough space to the left for our neighbor’s car.

During your stay
We live in this home as our primary residence. On Sunday we will be using the kitchen to prep our meal for the week, we will be sharing the kitchen with you so you might see us here and there.

If you are bringing a car you should plan to pay for parking. There is parking available in my driveway for $30 per night ($50 in October). The Immaculate Conception Church across the street offers paid parking in their lot, and there is a public garage across the street as well called the South Harbor Garage. You’ll love our home because it's the perfect location to walk anywhere in Salem. Your first main attraction can be reached in under five minutes on foot!

We also have a small little beach at the end of our street when you want a little time by the water instead.

Street parking by us does not require a resident sticker. In the event of a parking ban (October) or a street sweeping, we are more than happy to share our driveway space.

The space
The house is historic and was built in the late 1700s. The original wood floor and fireplaces add to its charm!

The room is equipped with a queen bed, closet space with hangers, and an empty dresser for belongings. There are hooks on the back of your bedroom door to hang your towels to dry. In the closet you'll find two freshly washed robes. Please note, there is no TV in the room, but the wireless internet will allow you to stream movies on your phone or tablet.

The armoire in the room also holds a hair dryer, iron, ironing board, and extra linens/blanket should anyone need them.

Shampoo, conditioner, and soap are provided in dispensers in the shower.

Beautiful hardwood floors in the living room, study & bedroom. Apartment is very roomy & the hearth in the living room is one of the apartment's best features. It's a very open layout with no doors between the rooms. Walk to cafes, restaurants & the sea. Minutes to bus & commuter rail. Modest unit but cozy & convenient. Rustic in a good way. It's in the heart of everything that is interesting about Salem. (Note: bathroom is sorely in need of an upgrade but everything is fully functioning.)

We are in the middle of everything that is fun about Salem. Nathaniel Hawthorne, the writer of The House of Seven Gables & The Scarlet Letter was born on this street. We are near the Salem Common which hosts many events & many dog-walkers as well as a small playground. We are also near Pickering Wharf which is the place to be on a weekend night. We are near the historic district for those who fancy history or literature. The house itself carries its own history since it was built in 1769 as a hat factory for Joseph Hood who later converted it into a dwelling for his widow.

The rental is an entire private apartment so guests have access to the whole unit. They have a separate entrance with a gate between the two small yards which is great especially if one has brought their dogs. Keep in mind it's an old funny house so there are little quirks here & there that add to its charm. We live upstairs so are available pretty quickly if any issues arise. With that said, we are an active busy family so we are always coming & going. With our pets & very social family, & occupying a very old house, it's good to keep in mind that this is not an apartment one would rent for quiet but more for it's uniqueness & it's awesome location.

Other things to note
Parking is on street only with a resident's visitor's pass which we give you when you check in. This pass can be used both on our street and the neighboring streets. Salem uses a color coded system and we live in the Blue Visitor's Pass area. It's important to return it once the visit is over as the city is strict about giving out visitor's passes. Occasionally, we do have to deal with street cleaning and will update the guests on back up parking when necessary. This applies to snow emergencies too as applicable.

Apartment is totally separate and private from host/owners who live on the 1st and 2nd floors. We are there if you need anything but will respect your privacy. Pea stone path leads to private entrance. No shared common spaces--it's all yours for the duration of your stay. There are stairs that lead up to the unit's exterior door, followed by a set of stairs to the second floor hallway, then the stairs to the 3rd floor apartment--3 flights in total.

Neighborhood is pleasant and safe, located on a busy street, but once inside the apartment, you will feel tranquil as house is well insulated. Kitchen is compact but mightily equipped. We have available: pots and pans, Keurig, spices, and other basics. Plus the unit is equipped with a modern glass top 4-burner electric range cooktop and glass and stainless hood. There is a counter top Caphalon compact oven for roasting, broiling and baking, although the nearby bakeries and fresh bagels within walking distance cannot be missed!

Many guests like to walk downtown (10-15 min), or drive (3-5 min) or take an Uber ($8-10). We have a Dunkin Donuts, Bagel World, a Starbucks within a 5-7 minute walk of our place, 1-2 min drive. A new coffee shop/bakery JAHO, recently opened a location about a 2 minute walk from our house. They get rave reviews and make excellent coffee, artisan cappuccino, and baked goods, small plates. There is also a bustling pizza place called PZA which is a 1 min walk from the apartment. There is also a local supermarket, Crosby's (5 min drive), and a Whole Foods (5-10 min drive).

Parking is available in our driveway. Two cars can fit, one behind the other if necessary. Might be difficult if they are large trucks though.

The private apartment is a new renovation located on the third floor of a two-family home in a quiet neighborhood only a 5-minute walk from downtown Salem and all the attractions. Guests do have to climb two flights of stairs to access the apartment, and some guests find the second flight to be quite narrow for large luggage!

The apartment features two bedrooms: The Eagle's Nest: Seeing the Stars & Future (queen-sized bed) and The Badger's Burrow: Magical Herbs & Potions (queen-sized bed). There is a dining area and kitchenette (The Owlery) and a open living area (The Lion's Den Common Room) with additional sleeping space on a fold-down futon and a full-sized Japanese floor futon.

Our kitchenette includes a fridge, microwave, blender, tiny toaster oven and toaster, coffee maker and tea kettle. We provide a simple breakfast (cereals and oatmeal), coffee, tea and milk.

Our new Serpent's Chamber bathroom is sunny and spacious and has a luxurious stand-up shower.

We have themed games, books and activities to please fans of all ages.

Our beds feature comfy pillow-top or foam mattresses as well as luxury memory foam pillows (along with more traditional options for guests who prefer those).

Our historic home was build in 1915 but this space is a brand new renovation! We have sourced unique vintage pieces to furnish and decorate the home (better quality than mass-produced new stuff and better for the environment!)

We strive to lead a zero-waste lifestyle and offer our guests zero-waste options for toiletries as well as recycling and composting.

The apartment is located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood adjacent to the gorgeous McIntire Historic District, a must-see in Salem.

One really awesome neighborhood feature is that the houses directly behind ours (visible from the bathroom and kitchen windows) are authentic English-style cottages built after the great Salem fire of 1914 (as was our house). They help create even more of an immersive experience in the world of British wizards.

We have plentiful and free parking on our street, and our guests can walk to downtown easily without dealing with the traffic and crowds (and very challenging parking).

PLEASE NOTE: Only in October, street parking on our street is only for Salem residents. Therefore, we can only provide parking for ONE car in October (a driveway spot). At other times, street parking is free and plentiful. Please plan accordingly if you are booking for October (bring one car or make alternate arrangements for additional cars).

We offer contactless check-in. Guests have full access to the entire apartment. The entry stairway/magical marketplace is shared with guests staying in the second floor unit (The Creaky Cauldron) but the entire apartment is completely private.

Other things to note
We ask guests to not wear shoes upstairs and to walk softly at all times to avoid disturbance to the guests below you. We also ask guests to minimize noise (i.e. raised voices) during quiet hours from 10 pm - 8 am.

We are more than happy to host large groups who are in Salem to celebrate (bachelor/bachelorettes, birthdays, etc.) but please do all your partying out in our lovely Witch City and come back to the Cauldron for some magical rest & relaxation.

If you feel like anyone in your group is unable to comply with our request to walk softly or observe quiet hours, then please do not book at the Cauldron!

We cannot accomodate early check-ins (before 4 pm) or late check-outs (10 am). You are welcome to park outside or leave your things on the second floor landing as early as 10:30 am, however, after the previous guests check out.

Historic home off Derby street in Old Town Salem, and just a short walk to all the best that Salem has to offer. This 3rd flr apt has water views from most rooms, and is just across the st from The House of Seven Gables. A spacious feel to this apt and has a open layout, and beautiful kitchen for those that like to cook. If you prefer to eat out, there are at least a dozen restaurants within a short 5 to 10 minute walk. This home is truly located in one of the most desirable locations in Salem

Walking Distance to everything Salem has to offer, Salem Cellar is located on a quaint street in historic Salem, Massachusetts. With a private entrance in the backyard of an 1800s house and plenty of windows, this cozy little place is the perfect 1 bedroom apartment to enjoy your time in Salem. It is 11 minutes walk to the witch house, plus there are restaurants and a convenience store just 2 blocks away. Guests staying at the property must be the same as who booked please.

The space
On a residental historic street, your apartment is located in the back of my single-family home. The private entrance opens to the carpeted living room, with a bedroom with original wood floors, and a Leesa memory foam queen bed for a tranquil nights sleep. Plus the lovely brand new bathroom is right off the bedroom. There is also a small kitchenette in the living room, with sink, small refrigerator, microwave oven, and hot water kettle. All kitchenware such as plates, glasses, silverware, knives cutting board, tea, mugs etc. are provided. Coffe, Tea, and some snacks and drinks will be provided to get you started.

Guest access
Using the last 4 digits of your phone number, the keypad to the apartment will open. It automatically locks when you close the door. The entire apartment is yours exclusively and it's a quiet neighborhood where you will hear the birds chirping if you listen carefully.

Other things to note
No Pets. No smoking or Vaping inside the property. Also please no parties, events, photo shoots, filming, or other gatherings. This property is intended for 1-2 guests to use for residential purposes only. Please respect that you are staying in a residential house. Thank you.

Welcome to the ”1870 Langmaid House”! We welcome you to consider this well-appointed suite within a stunning Victorian on historic Lafayette Street.

Our guests love the central location. It's a short (1.2 mile) trip to down town Salem's restaurants and bars, yet far enough away to be quiet and peaceful...the perfect combination. The City of Salem offers a sponsored transport service, "Skipper" for trips inside the city limits for $2.

The space
Guests will have private access to the house directly from Lafayette Street. Pass through the vestibule to the front door. Once in the foyer take the main staircase (see photo) to the 2nd floor. Guest Room will be directly in front of you, with a private full bath just to the left. A private laundry room and kitchenette is just to the left of that. Guest may also use the sitting room just outside of these rooms.

Guest access
Guests will have full access to the bedroom described above, the private bath described above, the 2nd floor sitting area, and one (1) off street parking space. On street parking is also available.

Other things to note
We generally find that common sense should prevail. No open flames, no smoking of any kind, please keep noise to a minimum between 11pm and 6am. No pets, please.

There is no free parking at the property or in the neighborhood.
Please see "other details to note" below for parking info. My place is close to Peabody Essex Museum and all of downtown Salem.. You’ll love my place because of the location. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. It is right in the middle of everything that downtown Salem has to offer.

The space
This unit is essentially one room. It has a bar/counter in the living/sleeping space with a small sink. The bathroom has a vanity sink, stand up shower, and toilet. You do not share any of this space with anyone else. There is a coin operated clothes washer and dryer available in a common area that is shared with other residents of the building. The unit does have a TV, but it is not connected to cable service or antenna. It does have a DVD player with a large DVD collection on the shelves, and has inputs for HDMI and VGA if you have a connector for a tablet or mobile device to connect your streaming service using the wifi.

Other things to note
If you are bringing a car you should plan to pay for parking. There is parking available in my driveway for $30 per night ($50 in October). This must be reserved on a first come first served basis, and not guaranteed to be available when you book. The Immaculate Conception Church across the street offers paid parking in their lot, and there is a public garage across the street as well called the South Harbor Garage. A little further away is the Museum Place Garage. There is metered parking on the street.
