Quiet location between the two best downtown Beverly streets with great restaurants, theater, music venues and beautiful beaches and parks, to Salem and Haunted Happenings (https://www.hauntedhappenings.org) via a 5 minute walk to the train which takes you to downtown Salem for all the October happenings or by train or ferry from Salem on into Boston. Pull into the driveway, which will hold three cars, and walk right to the front door into the hallway. To the right is a comfortable living room and a connecting dining room with seating for six and on into a nice sized kitchen. There is a small deck and backyard filled with flowers in the spring and summer. head back to the front hallway and go up the stairs. You'll find three bedrooms and a full bath. The apartment is on the first floor of the building and one level living so there are no stairs inside the apartment and only a few at the front of the building in order to get to the apartment. Guests should also know that this is a part of a 2 family building so there is 1 other apartment located above this apartment. That apartment is also an Airbnb.

When you get through the apartment door you immediately walk into the living room where there will be a couch, sofa chair, smart tv and work desk.

Off of the living room is 1 of the 2 bedrooms. The other bedroom is off of the kitchen. Both bedrooms have king size memory foam mattreses. In all my properties I use the same mattresses and they are what I get the most positive feedback on. Everyone says they’re comfortable! Both bedrooms have closets with clothing storage. The 2nd bedroom off the kitchen has a sliding door that leads to the back deck.

The kitchen has all appliances necessary for anything you need to do in the kitchen. It will also be fully stocked with all the supplies you need.

The full bathroom is off the kitchen. It’s a small bathroom and nothing fancy but if you aren’t picky then it absolutely gets the job done. It has 1 sink, shower/tub combo and toilet.

The back deck is exclusive to you the guest and will have outdoor furniture where you can relax or eat dinner. There are water views from the back deck. There are other houses around so they may not be the best water views but you can still see the water.

As I stated in the main description guests please know that this apartment is in an older apartment and is nothing fancy. If you’re picky or expecting luxury I want to be as upfront as possible and let you know that this is not the place for you. For everyone else I’d like to say that even though it is nothing fancy it absolutely can provide a quality functional stay

The space
I do allow dogs. There is a 50.00 extra cleaning fee. If you are bringing a dog please note the private patio and yard are not fenced to contain pets. I limit to only one dog.

Now about my barn:
In Beverly's historic district just steps from Salem bridge. The "Barn by the harbor" is just up the hill from Beverly harbor. It's attached to an older home, originally built in 1720, that we have been renovating for years. It's a renovated and beautifully decorated barn with water views, French doors onto private patio, full kitchen and sitting area with smart TV and wifi- connect to your own stream. Sunny and bright 2nd floor bedroom with a queen sized bed and full bath. We also have a kayak rack available and room to stash a bike as well. Walk to trains taking you to Boston, Cape Ann, Newburyport, Salem. Walk to beaches, downtown, great restaurants or head to the lobster pound and create your own clambake (we supply the equipment and instructions)
You can stay here without a car. The area is very walkable and public T, Uber and Lyft are plentiful.
Enjoy all of Salem activities without the hassle! But there is so much more to the area! We can help with anything you may need.

The entire North Shore of Massachusetts is a gem. Known for years as the Gold Coast, this area from Cape Ann to Boston boasts glorious coast line, architecture, art- from galleries to world class museums, whale watching, schooner trips, booze cruises and some of the best food ever! The beaches are outstanding - from what we call the pocket beach on the harbor (just down the street) to Gloucester's fabulous Wingarsheek ( we can tell you a backway to get there with outstanding vistas)
And there is something fun at every time of year!

This is a great place for artists. Plenty of vistas for painting. If you are a kayaker you can bring your kayak and drop in just down the street. Cyclists will love the growing cycle culture on the north shore. Sailors have access to tons of boating options. If you are traveling by boat, we are just a short walk from the harbor- you can stay without a car. Musicians will go crazy for the music and performance scene! History buffs will have plenty to explore- Or if you just want to sit on a bench and read. It's all available to you!

This private entrance beautiful basement apartment is within a 1/2 mile to several Beverly beaches. Downtown Salem is a 10 min drive. Downtown Beverly is about a 10 to 15 minute pleasant walk. Beverly offers great restaurants, cafe’s and brew pubs. Live entertainment at the Larcom, Cabot and North Shore music theater. Endicott College is 1 mile away. The train to Boston, Salem, or Rockport is about a mile away. Plenty of safe street parking is available in front. Escape the crowds in Salem!

The apartment is yours alone. It is cozy and clean. It is very private allowing you to come and go as you please. There is a full kitchen if you prefer to eat in. There are 2 very comfortable queen sized beds. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe. Walking distance to the beach (5 min) and downtown (15 min). The apartment has its own yard and private patio. A gas grill and a small fire pit are for your use! There are herbs growing in the front garden that you can help yourself to!

Welcome to my adorable little home in Beverly, situated a short walk to the beach and downtown, yet on a quiet side street. Your room is spacious and private with an in-suite bathroom. You will have everything you need right in your room; microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, and a television with streaming services. I live downstairs; your room is the entire upstairs so you have lots of privacy. Your entrance is enclosed for privacy.

The space
My little house is right in the heart of Beverly and so close to everywhere you want to go. It is easy to walk to downtown or the beach within a few minutes, and it's about a half hour walk or ten minute drive over the harbor bridge to Salem. About a ten minute walk to the commuter rail station in Beverly.
Your room is a spacious converted attic with beautiful hardwood floors and big windows. You will have your own heating and air conditioning controls and lots of privacy, because yours is the only room upstairs and your own bathroom is accessed from inside your room. The house has wifi and your room has a television with a Roku stick, already logged in to streaming services.
There is a breakfast nook with a small wooden table and chairs, mini fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker. Coffee and tea will be provided.
There are plenty of pillows, towels, and small bottles of toiletries if you need them.
I live in the house but our spaces will be separate - the access to your room is enclosed from the front entrance.
My young golden retriever Emma now lives here too. Two years old as of April 2024, She's well behaved and impeccably friendly, but barks from the window or her side of the door as guests come and go. It's just a greeting bark. She LOVES all people. If you demand to meet her, she will likely oblige.

The commuter rail station is an easy ten minute walk.
There is not much parking space onsite, so unless you have a subcompact car, in which case we can share the parking, you will be parking on the street if you drive. There are usually spots within a block or two, if not right next to the house. You can pull up to unload.

You enter through a shared mudroom that leads to the enclosed staircase to your room, for added privacy, so aside from the mudroom, there are no shared spaces. There will be a keypad lock for the front door, and I will send you the code before your arrival.

There is a cute tiny yard in the back, filled with wildflowers and vegetables. If you are arrive when something is ready to harvest, you're welcome to pick a handful of blueberries or tomatoes, or whatever is ripe.

During your stay
I don't enter the guest space, but am happy to meet up with you outside on the porch or in the yard and chat. I am usually available by phone too, unless I am in the middle of teaching a class, in which case I will call you back.

Other things to note
The neighborhood is a rather crowded block of housing, but is only one block from Beverly's historic region and is only 2-3 blocks from various greenspace parks and the closest beach, with several other beaches within walking distance. The house is right off the main road through downtown, but it is still a pretty quiet street. The house is very close the other houses, so you may want to close your curtains for privacy.
The camera noted in the disclosures section is just a little doorbell camera on the front porch.

The house is 100 years old, but your 2nd floor space was designed and built by current owner, a captain. One queen and one single bed., with private bath. You'll see his work in the beautiful woodwork accenting this spacious place, less than 1 mile from beaches, downtown, restaurants, and train station. Less than 5 miles from historic Salem, Landmark School, Endicott college, Montserrat College, Gordon College, and Salem State University.

Convenient for dropping off/picking up students. Queen size bed with 100% cotton sheets, down comforter, flannel sheets when it's cold outside, plus a single bed and a full bath. Additional space for sipping coffee, reading, and relaxing includes comfy chairs and a desk. Heat is partially provided by a wood stove, which is downstairs.

This is a quiet space, not for partying.

The apartment is on the first floor of the building and one level living so there are no stairs inside the apartment and only a few at the front of the building in order to get to the apartment. Guests should also know that this is a part of a 2 family building so there is 1 other apartment located above this apartment. That apartment is also an Airbnb.

When you get through the apartment door you immediately walk into the living room where there will be a couch, sofa chair, smart tv and work desk.

Off of the living room is 1 of the 2 bedrooms. The other bedroom is off of the kitchen. Both bedrooms have king size memory foam mattreses. In all my properties I use the same mattresses and they are what I get the most positive feedback on. Everyone says they’re comfortable! Both bedrooms have closets with clothing storage. The 2nd bedroom off the kitchen has a sliding door that leads to the back deck.

The kitchen has all appliances necessary for anything you need to do in the kitchen. It will also be fully stocked with all the supplies you need.

The full bathroom is off the kitchen. It’s a small bathroom and nothing fancy but if you aren’t picky then it absolutely gets the job done. It has 1 sink, shower/tub combo and toilet.

The back deck is exclusive to you the guest and will have outdoor furniture where you can relax or eat dinner. There are water views from the back deck. There are other houses around so they may not be the best water views but you can still see the water.

As I stated in the main description guests please know that this apartment is in an older apartment and is nothing fancy. If you’re picky or expecting luxury I want to be as upfront as possible and let you know that this is not the place for you. For everyone else I’d like to say that even though it is nothing fancy it absolutely can provide a quality functional stay

Dane Street beach is 2 blocks away, and several downtown shops, restaurants, and the Cabot Theater are all just a 5-10 minute walk. Historic Salem is 10 minutes by car or catch the commuter rail to Boston. You will have access to a full kitchen including a coffee/tea bar. Guests can easily access secure WiFi and work remotely, or just take a few days to relax and unwind.

Our property is a clean and completely renovated 1-bedroom first-floor apartment with a private entrance located within walking distance to Dane Street Beach and Independence Park. The unit has a cozy living room, a spacious well-lit bedroom with a queen-sized bed (and access to a desk and reading chair), a new bathroom with a rain-shower, and a full-kitchen with a coffee/tea bar.

We've made sure each room has the basics to ensure you have a fun and easy stay. Guests can use the smart TV, or enjoy a selection of books, games or puzzles. We hope you will be able to visit some of the beautiful parks that are close by. We have a yoga mat in the unit for outdoor use if you like sunrise/sunset yoga, and to-go coffee/tea cups so you bring your morning cup with you as you stroll to the beach. For summer guests, we provide 2 beach towels, a beach bag, and 2 beach chairs to use while you are here.

There is abundant free on-street parking.

Please Note: The apartment is part of a 2-family building that was built in the 1890's. We live in the other unit directly above the apartment. The units are completely separate, and we will be sure to give you space and be as quiet as we can be. In Beverly's historic district just steps from Salem bridge. The "Barn by the harbor" is just up the hill from Beverly harbor. It's attached to an older home, originally built in 1720, that we have been renovating for years. It's a renovated and beautifully decorated barn with water views, French doors onto private patio, full kitchen and sitting area with smart TV and wifi- connect to your own stream. Sunny and bright 2nd floor bedroom with a queen sized bed and full bath. We also have a kayak rack available and room to stash a bike as well. Walk to trains taking you to Boston, Cape Ann, Newburyport, Salem. Walk to beaches, downtown, great restaurants or head to the lobster pound and create your own clambake (we supply the equipment and instructions)
You can stay here without a car. The area is very walkable and public T, Uber and Lyft are plentiful.
Enjoy all of Salem activities without the hassle! But there is so much more to the area! We can help with anything you may need.

The entire North Shore of Massachusetts is a gem. Known for years as the Gold Coast, this area from Cape Ann to Boston boasts glorious coast line, architecture, art- from galleries to world class museums, whale watching, schooner trips, booze cruises and some of the best food ever! The beaches are outstanding - from what we call the pocket beach on the harbor (just down the street) to Gloucester's fabulous Wingarsheek ( we can tell you a backway to get there with outstanding vistas)
And there is something fun at every time of year!

Guest access
Guests will have their own attached house/renovated barn with a private entrance and patio. We also have beach towels, chairs, coolers, a gas grill for guests to use, kayak rack. Parking is on street. There are plenty of options if you come without a car too.

Other things to note
This is a great place for artists. Plenty of vistas for painting. If you are a kayaker you can bring your kayak and drop in just down the street. Cyclists will love the growing cycle culture on the north shore. Sailors have access to tons of boating options. If you are traveling by boat, we are just a short walk from the harbor- you can stay without a car. Musicians will go crazy for the music and performance scene! History buffs will have plenty to explore- Or if you just want to sit on a bench and read. It's all available to you!

This home is the main living space of my home, where I normally live. It includes a private entrance and has 1 bedroom with a double bed, a nice, sunny living room, full bath, and a fully equipped kitchen. I can include a double sized air mattress with bedding at no additional cost, by request. There is also a small private back porch, and a shared yard (shared only with me). There is one other unit upstairs, that may be occupied by another guest or by me.

The space
This is my year round home, offered for rent while I go away for a short stay elsewhere. There is one bedroom and a full sized bathroom, a charming living room, and a modern kitchen with everything you might ever need. The house is right downtown, a few minutes walk to shops, restaurants, the Cabot Theater, train, and beaches.
There is a small yard in the back that is intentionally wild and untamed.
There is wifi and a TV with several streaming services.

Guest access
You will have access to my main living quarters, which are one bedroom plus a nice living room and full kitchen. There is a separate Airbnb upstairs with an additional bedroom and bathroom, that might be occupied while you are here. There is a locking keypad door separating the downstairs (this listing) with the upstairs Airbnb unit. No laundry, but there is a laundromat almost right across the street if you need one.
There is a small, intentionally wild and untamed yard, and one parking spot directly in front of the house.
You enter via a keypad on the front door.

Other things to note
Please know that while you will have everything you should need and everything will be homey and clean, this is not a hotel. I will have a professional come and disinfect surfaces and clean before your stay (that's what the cleaning fee is for) and will clear out most fridge shelves, bedroom closet, and dressers for you. My space is kept clean and tidy. However, if you're looking for a completely spotless space that is intended as a hotel, this isn't it. I live here year round with a fluffy puppy and I won't be able to remove every last dog hair, and my books and other things will be around. Also, I keep my garden wild on purpose for wildlife and shade.

I will, however, leave you every comfort - shampoos and soaps and lotions and cooking spices and oils and extra towels. I will be leaving my foods in the panty, and you're welcome to help yourself if you need something.

The kitchen has a fridge and microwave, gas range and oven, and a full collection of cooking and baking gear including cast iron pans and stainless steel pots. There will be a coffeemaker and coffee, tea, and hot cocoa.
