Main Living Area: When you walk in the front do you open up to a family room with a fireplace, large couch and a 55" Smart TV

Dining Room: Just on the other side of the fireplace you find the Dining room with a large family style dining table and propane heating stove.

Kitchen: A stocked kitchen means you don’t have to bring anything but the food/seasonings! We have all your necessity’s ready and available for all your cooking needs. Wondering if we have something specific that you may need? Just ask!

Master Suite (“Floor”): The master bedroom and bathroom make up the entire second floor giving you great amounts of privacy from the rest of the family in the evenings and mornings. A closet will easily manage all of your ski gear. Along with the Master bed (king) there is a day bed and a full size pull out couch on this level. The master bathroom has a his & hers sink, heated towel rack and stand in shower. A 40” TV with with streaming is available in the master bedroom.

We are 9 minutes from Stratton Mountain, 13 minutes from Mount Snow, 4 minutes from Grout Pond for great hiking, and 7 minutes to Wundorwoven, where you can pick up farm-fresh eggs for breakfast. I`ll send you a list of the best restaurants and activities around, ranging from snowmobiling adventures, hikes, breweries, and spas.

The only way to get around is really by car. The closest airport is the Rutland Airport (RUT), which is about 33 miles from Stratton, but you`ll still need a car to get around here. During the winter, I recommend all-wheel-drive, especially during winter storms. Getting to the house is easy and you won`t particularly need all-wheel-drive to get to the house, but the roads definitely can get slippery during snow storms.

✹ Easy self-check-in is available via the smart lock on the front door - I`ll send you a personalized code on the morning of check-in day.

✹ Please note that upon booking, I`ll ask you to e-sign a rental agreement. By booking, you agree to complete this step immediately post booking or the reservation may be canceled.

✹ The cabin is not wheelchair accessible.

✹ There are 2 Tesla boxes. This is a battery backup for the cabin in case the power goes out, not a car charger.

✹ No smoking.

✹ No parties or events without prior approval.

✹ The hot tub may not be up to temperature when you first arrive. It is emptied, sanitized, and refilled on a regular schedule so that you have super-fresh water, and takes almost 10 hours to heat up after being filled up. If it is being maintained on the day you arrive, it may not be up to temperature that first night. I coordinate it for the day before if possible so that it is ready by when you check in, but it`s not always possible. If you’d like, I can also coordinate for it to be emptied and refilled specifically for your stay even if the service isn’t “due”, and you’d cover the service fee in that case.

✹ The cabin is pet friendly! There is a $50 pet fee because cleaning after pets stay typically takes much longer. Please reach out after booking and we`ll process that separately.

✹ The A/C is only in the main bedroom, but it`s big enough to cool the whole upstairs (both bedrooms). I`ve personally never needed it in the 8 years of owning the house. It can get hot during the day in the summer, but it cools down significantly at night. There are maybe 4 nights out of the year when it`s uncomfortably warm at night, and that`s why I got the A/C unit :) It`ll only get hot in the bedrooms upstairs. The downstairs area never gets hot.

✹ The system will place an automatic `hold` on your credit card as a sort of damage deposit. It will only be charged if there is any damage or excessive cleaning

Beautifully situated on the bank of Wardsboro Brook, this secluded, family-friendly home is a place to find ease, relaxation, and wonderful access to outdoor recreation in every season. Skiing at Mount Snow and Stratton Mountain, kayaking and paddleboarding at Grout Pond, and hiking on the Appalachian Trail - it's all within a few minutes' drive. Snowmobiling on the VAST Trail System is just up the hill.

This peaceful, tree-lined home is nestled in the Green Mountain National Forest along Wardsboro Brook, allowing you to nap in the hammock or picnic at the water’s edge, and host family badminton or croquet tournaments in the yard. Ascending the wheelchair ramp or the unique flight of stairs brings you to the large, partially shaded deck – a place to barbecue, dine outdoors, and soak up the summer sun with a view of the surrounding woods.

Inside, the home is spread out across multiple levels. The main living space features a great room with two sofas and a wood-burning fireplace, a fully appointed kitchen with two eat-in tables, and a door that leads outside to the deck. - "The house was just as it is shown on website, which has not always been the case. Clean, comfortable and has mostly everything you would have at home. We were there when the natural disaster floods hit. Our bad luck there so most of what we planned was not possible to do. Mark did explain to my brother how to get generator going and that was very helpful to have electricity at times. Only thing would be local news access through the direct TV. We did not have internet so no ability to get information about what was happening, esp what roads were closed or open."

We designed our cabin to be inviting and cozy, a place you'll never want to leave. Come for a fun-filled weekend on the mountains skiing or a relaxing getaway in nature. End your day with a relaxing soak in our 7-person hot tub. Visit the local breweries and farms for an authentic Vermont experience!

Three Bears Mountain House is the perfect location for your visit to Southern Vermont with family and friends. Our home sits on an acre of land in the Green Mountain National Forrest. You'll be surrounded by trees and are just outside the hustle and bustle of the ski mountains, but still a quick drive for easy access to the slopes. We're a great jumping off point for a lot of great trails including the Appalachian Trail.

NOW WITH AC. We recently added mini split air conditioning to our home for comfort all year long. Our home features an open layout between the kitchen, dining and living spaces. Step outside our two sliding glass doors onto our large deck complete with Adirondack chairs, a grill, and table. Our kitchen features updated appliances and is fully stocked with all the pots, pans, dishes, and silverware you need. We've got your coffee and tea covered! Brew a whole pot or a single cup in our Keurig K-Duo coffee maker. Or, if you prefer a french press or tea kettle, we have got you covered there as well. The open dining area and living room make for an excellent gathering space, and the dining table comfortably sits 8 people for a big meal after a day out on the slopes.

Grab some wood from outside to make a fire in our wood-burning stove fireplace and relax! Creature comforts are important. We have three televisions equipped with Roku streaming sticks. We also have a selection of board games and books for your enjoyment.

There are three bedrooms and three full bathrooms in the house. Our home works well for a group of friends, three couples, or families. Upstairs you will find the master suite and an open alcove. The master bedroom has a king-sized platform bed with windows looking out into the woods. It has an ensuite bathroom with a jacuzzi jet soaker tub. Also upstairs is an open alcove space with a twin daybed. This space features a privacy screen. The other two bedrooms are on the main level and both feature queen beds. Both bedrooms have beautiful wooded views. The bathroom on the main floor features a large shower. The third full bathroom is located in the basement and includes a shower. The basement is an ultimate game room. You can spend your time playing pool table (recreational sized), foosball, darts, tabletop hockey and our classic Pac-Man machine.

Outside we have a hot tub where you can stargaze the night away. Or, you can roast marshmallows over our fire pit.

Three Bears Mountain House is 7 miles from the Mount Snow ski area and Dover and 9 miles to Stratton Mountain. We are also a short distance to Bromley Mountain (21 miles) and Magic Mountain (24 miles).

Our driveway can accommodate 3 vehicles. We recommend your car has 4WD/AWD, particularly in the winter as our driveway is on an incline.

Our doors are equipped with electronic locks. You will receive a unique code for entry that will only be valid during the duration of your booking.

We want to give you privacy during your stay, but are available via phone or text for any questions about the home or area.

We have our own private driveway where guests can park their vehicles. We recommend all vehicles visiting in the winter have a vehicle equipped with 4WD or AWD as ice and snow are frequent in our area.

Our neighborhood is tucked off the main road and the roads are paved and in good condition. Our neighborhood has dirt roads and we have a dirt driveway. During the winter, the roads are regularly plowed so getting around isn't too difficult.

Cell service is very spotty coming up into the neighborhood depending on your carrier. If you have already put the directions into your GPS then you will have no problem. We have wifi at the house so you should not have any problems making calls over wifi or with general connectivity.

Vermont is home to a lot of wildlife including bears, coyotes, foxes, spiders, etc. You may encounter some of them during your stay. To keep these wild encounters outside we appreciate your cooperation in keeping screens closed when you have the doors open and making sure all food and garbage are properly stowed. Please lock all doors at night as bears have been spotted in our area.

Our home is equipped with two outdoor security cameras. One at our front door and one at the basement. It is for the safety of our guests and helps us keep an eye on the property between guest stays. Any tampering of these cameras is grounds for immediate eviction.

Our home has 3 locked owner closets in the home. These closets will not be accessible to guests during their stay. Decor and furnishings may vary due to wear/tear and cleaning needs.

The owners were kind enough to not only let us use their fireplace, but to use their own firewood next to the garage. Next to the garage there was also a 120v outlet that we were allowed to use to keep our EV charged.On the living room coffee table there was a binder that listed all of the nearest grocery stores, restaurants, activities, and nearest locations for medical emergencies. To the side, there was a notebook where guests could write their opinions on the home. My daughter and I went skiing to Stratton which was only a 10-15 minute drive and my wife decided to take it upon herself and finish reading her book. She explained to me how exceptionally pleased she was. My son and her went to one of the restaurant recommendations and described it as a remarkable experience. On our last night, we enjoyed a fire and went to the country store down the street to grab our dinner. The store had everything you would need to relax watching a movie! There are two bedrooms on the first floor that sleep 2 people each. Upstairs, there was another room that sleeps 4 people which displays a plentiful of space for more than one family to enjoy a serene stay.I am planning on returning next year. The owners did an amazing job making the vacation feel like my home and welcomed my family and I in open arms."

Seasons Chalet is close to all kinds of fun including skiing, snowmobiling (VAST trail access across the road), restaurants, breweries, shopping, ponds, lakes, hiking and biking trails, waterfalls and more.

This home has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a loft, and a bonus room off the mudroom, which provide ample room for 6 guests to stay comfortably. There is a spiral staircase from the mudroom to the main floor. The loft area with 2 twin beds is popular with the kids and the 2 bedrooms with queen beds are perfect for couples and single adults. The large wall of windows allows in plenty of natural light and views the gorgeous wooded landscape from the comfort of inside. The deck has plenty of room to hangout and BBQ with your family.

This is a post for ONE MATTRESS in the corner bunk we call the "Hawk Bunk" (this listing includes ONLY ONE twin mattress/for ONE PERSON - someone else may sleep in the mattress above yours!!!) in a SHARED Co-ED ROOM (all gender) within a SHARED HOME (hostel style accommodation!)

WHAT YOUR BED IS LIKE/WHAT IS INCLUDED:
All linen is included in your rental. Extra pillows and blankets are available to guests. For your comfort, we offer courtesy ear plugs and eye masks. In addition, lower bunk beds have privacy/light blocking curtains installed on them (except for the "Fox Bunk", which is "L-shaped" and thus not conducive to the installation of curtains.)

A NIGHT LIGHT WILL BE CONSTANTLY ON IN THE BUNK ROOM:
Please note we make use of a safety night-light in the bunk room. Cozy two-bedroom cabin nestled in the green mountains and conveniently located close to both Mount Snow (6 miles/~10 min) and Stratton (9 miles).

In the warmer seasons, explore the hiking trails at Green Mountain National Park. You could also cool off by exploring the various lakes and ponds, including Grout Pond and a swimming hole at Jamaica State Park. Route 100 has been touted “The Skiers Highway” and hugs the edge of Green Mountains, offering one of the state’s most colorful fall foliage!

The space
Our cabin features two bedrooms, one bath, a kitchen, and a fireplace to keep everyone warm and cozy. Property also features a campfire pit in the side yard.

Escape the fast-paced life and come enjoy the simple pleasures of our Vermont home!

First floor:
- Kitchen, includes toaster, slow cooker, coffee maker (but we don't supply coffee), microwave, kettle, and etc.

We do not have a grill.

This is a perfect getaway for anytime of the season, and especially suitable for couples and families.

Note that there are two cabins next to each other on the property, and this listing is for the cabin on the left when viewed from Route 100. The cabin on the right was caught in a fire earlier this year and is currently not occupied.

As mentioned, the cabin is located in the green mountains and there will be spiders and bugs, especially in the warmer seasons. Please book with caution if the presence of bugs is a concern. Our home is around 60 years old and unfortunately does show its age both inside and outside (e.g., the stairs to the upstairs bedroom are narrow and creak). We put down the flooring ourselves and there is some leftover glue on the floors because the flooring wouldn't stay put. We also live in an area with hard water so there may be a yellow tint due to minerals. We usually boil the water and put in fridge to cool before drinking. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A LUXURY GETAWAY, THIS CABIN IS NOT IT. For dog owners, there isn't a fenced yard, just some small space off to the side that is not fenced. The cabin is by Route 100 so there's not much space to walk around. Would definitely need a car to get around.

Other things to note
Cell phone service inside the house is EXTREMELY spotty. There's sometimes cell service for AT&T, but Verizon and T-Mobile usually do not get service. A workaround is to use the Wi-Fi calling feature on the phone. If you drive a few minutes out or even step outside of the house there is usually service.

Window ACs are available in the summer months (installed end of May/beg of June and taken out some time in September), as there's usually a huge temperature drop in this area at night. We have portable heaters on the second floor as the heat from the furnace doesn’t travel up that well.

Tucked away on peaceful secluded property surrounded by nature. Close to outdoor activities including Stratton Mountain (4 miles), Mount Snow (8 miles) and others. WHAT YOUR BED IS LIKE/WHAT IS INCLUDED:
All linen is included in your rental. Extra pillows and blankets are available to guests. For your comfort, we offer courtesy ear plugs and eye masks. In addition, lower bunk beds have privacy/light blocking curtains installed on them (except for the "Fox Bunk", which is "L-shaped" and thus not conducive to the installation of curtains.)

A NIGHT LIGHT WILL BE CONSTANTLY ON IN THE BUNK ROOM:
Please note we make use of a safety night-light in the bunk room. We have found this to be the most responsible approach to a shared space as we have many guests settling in extremely late into the night (especially during the Winter season) and this feature has proven to minimize related disruption to sleeping guests, while also highlighting possible tripping hazards on the floor/pathway of those coming into the room "in the dark." (I would like to note here that we offer eye-masks and our lower bunk beds have full-length dark curtains installed [we will be adding this amenity to top bunks in the coming weeks!] We also have private room options available, which may work better for guests with light or noise sensitivity.)

This is a lovely home, furnished "lodge style" for a genuine and comfortable mountain stay.

Property is fitted with all you will need during your visit (and if we missed something, just let us know, we live a couple of houses down the road at our small farm @wundorwoven - many locals and also regular visitors from our Winter community already know us, this is our new small venture in the area, thank you for your interest/support!!)

This is a place to make new likeminded friends, but it is ABSOLUTELY NOT a PARTY PLACE!! QUIET HOURS ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED at/from 10pm - low volume and calm demeanor enforced 24/7!!!! DO NOT COME TO PARTY, it just will not fly...!!!

We have a full time resident at the house, plus we care deeply about our guests and small town neighborhood. There will be absolutely NO LOUD MUSIC, RUKUS, DISRESPECT, ETC. This is a place to FULLY ENJOY WINTER SPORTS AND RELAX in a communal atmosphere!!! WE (the owners) LIVE JUST A COUPLE OF HOUSES DOWN THE ROAD and will really not take any nonsense!!!

The space
During your stay, you will enjoy our large and spacious 3 bedroom, 2 full bath log cabin. The bedrooms are all generously sized and inviting. Plenty of room for a family retreat, a gathering of good friends, but yet cozy enough for a quiet getaway for a couple. The cabin can sleep up to 11 guests comfortably.

Enjoy the open living spaces that focus on the large stone fireplace. The living room and dining have high vaulted ceilings and are open to the large eat in kitchen. There is plenty of space in the kitchen for entertaining a big family, a group of friends or a quiet meal for a couple.

The cabin is situated on a hill above the dirt and gravel road. It’s nestled on a 1+ acre lot amongst the trees on the edge of a babbling brook that comes from higher up in the woods. The covered front porch spans the front of the house and looks out to the southeast where you can experience the sunrise in the early morning. There is a deck that spans the back of the house for a quiet evening relaxing or an early morning cup of coffee. French doors lead out to the deck from the dining room which creates a open air dining space in the warmer months.

Enjoy all of the amenities of home, including a full kitchen with all the cooking equipment you need. A washer and dryer are both available for your use during your stay. A Chromecast is available to stream your own content which brings the outside world in, if you choose. Cell service is very limited, which allows for quality time away from the digital distractions of everyday life. A large mud room can hold all of the stuff you want kept out of sight during your stay.

The whole cabin is available to our guests during your stay. The basement is unfinished but has a fooseball table and airhockey table for your enjoyment.

Other things to note
While tucked away, our cabin is located within a reasonable drive to many local attractions and access to major highways. In the spring after ski season, planning your trip ahead is advisable as some area attractions and restaurants close for a period of time. Once summer rolls around most places re-open. The state also performs annual maintenance on roads and other services so there may be detours on some local roads.

First floor master bedroom leads into a large, covered, screened in porch, which is perfect for your early morning coffee or evening cocktails. Starlink high speed Wi-Fi and a smart tv in the living room and bedroom. 7 Minutes from Stratton Mtn, 15 from Mt Snow. Nearby lakes!

The space
The main floor master bedroom has a king sized bed and a slider which leads to the covered, screened in sun porch. The open sleeping loft above has another king sized bed and two twin built in beds, which are perfect for children or the young at heart! (I’m 5’11” and often find myself sleeping in them!) All towels, and sheets will be provided. We also provide soap, shampoo, conditioner, garbage bags, new dish sponge, coffee filters, olive oil, spices, etc. There is also a covered front porch with seating and a Weber charcoal grill. Enjoy roasting marshmallows in the fire pit while surrounded by woods! (Grill and fire pit are only available seasonally between May-Nov. Firepit can be used if there isn’t too much snow to access it!)

Please be sure to bring charcoal for the Weber (we have the fire starter chimney). We often times have firewood bundles at the cabin available for sale, but not always. Both can be purchased at any of the gas stations or West Wardsboro Country Store which is about 7 min up the road.

✹ The hot tub may not be up to temperature when you first arrive. It is emptied, sanitized, and refilled on a regular schedule so that you have super-fresh water, and takes almost 10 hours to heat up after being filled up. If it is being maintained on the day you arrive, it may not be up to temperature that first night. I coordinate it for the day before if possible so that it is ready by when you check in, but it's not always possible. If you’d like, I can also coordinate for it to be emptied and refilled specifically for your stay even if the service isn’t “due”, and you’d cover the service fee in that case.

✹ The house is pet friendly! There is a $50 pet fee because cleaning after pets stay typically takes much longer. If the pet fee isn't collected automatically when you book, please reach out and we can process that separately.

✹ The A/C is only in the main bedroom, but it's big enough to cool the whole upstairs (both bedrooms). I just bought it! That said, I've personally never needed it in the 8 years of owning the house. It can get hot during the day in the summer, but it cools down significantly at night. There are maybe 4 nights out of the year when it's uncomfortably warm at night, and that's why I got the A/C unit :) It'll only get hot in the bedrooms upstairs. The downstairs area never gets hot.

A beautiful guest house with private hiking trails (overgrown in the fall, summer months) on 70acres and 5 miles and a ten minute drive to the ski mountain! No one will be in the main house during your stay. There is a security camera at the entryway.
Please note: we provide wifi however it is spotty and can be slow at times. Wi-Fi information can be found on the refrigerator.

Cable provided. Full access to apartment and mud room which includes full washer and dryer for use. Garage is restricted and has cameras. Please do not enter either from outside or interior door.

There is a lock box to enter and an alarm code to deactivate once you enter the premises. We will provide this information once you book.

There are cameras outside the property and one camera in the entrance way before you head to your apartment. There are no other cameras on premises.

If you have Verizon wireless, you should have a strong cell phone signal. Other providers have limited or no signal. WIFI network info can be found on the fridge. Internet connection will be much faster in the early am but will slow. WIFI is not great in our location.

We have provided basic amenities: kitchenware, towels. Please bring all your own toiletries. If you need to do laundry during your stay, please feel free to use the washer and dryer in the entranceway. You can also shop and have use of the refrigerator.

We welcome folks from all backgrounds to our elevated, bright, and cozy mountain escape with two work-from-home stations, top-of-the-line mattresses, cozy gas fireplaces, ski & boot storage, and drying room, individually controlled heat/AC in each room, a pool table, 75inch Samsung picture frame TV, BBQ, wood-fire pizza oven & fire-pit.

Primary bedroom 1 sleeps three and features a brand new king-size bed, with a mattress from Purple and a convenient and cozy twin pull-out mattress. This room also offers dual nightstands with storage and reading lamps, two large closets, a dresser, two luggage racks to access your belongings comfortably, and a work-from-home station overlooking VT mountain views.

Bedroom 2 sleeps two and can flex to sleep up to 3. This room features a queen size bed with a Casper mattress, a skylight to watch the snowfall in the winter, dual plug-in nightstands with reading lights, a dresser, an open-air closet to hang and view your clothes easily, two luggage racks to access your belongings comfortably, and access to a semi-private deck (shared with the other queen bedroom) with outdoor seating to enjoy an evening drink, hot-chocolate or a morning coffee while taking in the quiet VT wilderness.

Bedroom 3 sleeps two and can flex to sleep up to 3. This room features a queen size bed with a Nectar mattress, dual plug-in nightstands with reading lights, a dresser, an open-air closet to easily hang and view your clothes, two luggage racks to access your belongings comfortably, and access to a semi-private deck (shared with the other queen bedroom) with outdoor seating to enjoy an evening drink, hot-chocolate or a morning coffee while taking in the quiet VT wilderness.

Bedroom 4/the office sleeps two and is possibly our favorite room in the house. This room becomes a private bedroom with a romantic gas fireplace, a cozy foam pull-out full mattress, panoramic views of the peaceful VT wilderness, and a private sliding glass door entrance. Whether in 4th bedroom mode or work-from-home mode, there is plenty of room for both. Make yourself at home, plug into our 27-inch curved monitor, and connect to our wireless keyboard and mouse (one set for Mac and another for PCs).

The home has two twin size stow-away beds in the event you need a spare bed or two for children or adults. The stow away beds feature 6-inch memory foam mattresses and can be set up throughout the house at your preference.

Full bathrooms with walk-in showers are located on each floor. Hot water is never a concern with our tankless Navien water heating system! If you're traveling with a little one, you can find a foldable baby bathtub located in the primary bedroom closet.

The cozy living room offers connected and disconnected "modes." If you want to disconnect and enjoy the simple things, leave the 75-inch Samsuch picture frame TV in art mode, listen to the birds, or browse through our selection of records and enjoy our modern record player. If you prefer to stay connected with the modern world, stream your favorite shows/movies on the 75-inch screen, connect your phone to the record player speaker's Bluetooth speakers, and connect to your favorite music.

We have a second seating area between the dining room and living room where you can warm up after a day of skiing next to the romantic gas fireplace, enjoy the peace and quiet, or wrest in our day longer with front row seats to watch the hummingbirds in the summer or our winter crew of birds where you are likely to see Downey Woodpeckers, American Goldfinches, Chickadees, Tufted Titmouses, Nuthatches, red squires and chipmunks fighting it out over the bird seed. We have a Tupperware container of birdseed found in the laundry room. Please be sure to seal it up after using it so we don't bring any wildlife into the house! (see bird feeder instructions under house rules and instructions). Birdfeeders are illegal in VT in the Fall, Summer, and Spring.

This is a REAL kitchen ready to cook. Unlike many Air B&B homes, our kitchen should feel like you're at home. Enjoy our full set of chef knives, fully stocked set of pots and pans, cooking utensils, dinnerware, glassware, wine, champagne, and cocktail glasses, cocktail station, Smeg small appliances (drip coffee machine, espresso machine, coffee grinder, stand mixer, water kettle, and hand mixer), dishwasher, beverage-fridge, full-size refrigerator, an air-fryer, full gas stove and oven, and a large farmhouse sink where even washing dishes comes with a beautiful view.

Last but not least, wash your clothes with our full-size washer dryer located in the walk-in ski, bike, and fishing equipment storage room, which offers boot dryers, shelving for your gear, yoga mats, a first aid kit as well as a defibrillator.

Outside, enjoy our smokeless firepit, outdoor cooler with built-in bottle opener, gas BBQ, and woodfire pizza oven.

In the warmer months, enjoy our indoor bike rack for mountain bikers, kayak rack, and fly, and spinning rod rack for fishing and outdoor travelers.

Guest access
Guests can enjoy the run of the entire house (except the basement and owner's closet located in the master suite). The shed is locked as well as the guest house and garage.

Other things to note
VERY IMPORTANT: In winter months, we get a lot of snow! More than Mt Snow or Stratton Mountain due to elevation and unique weather patterns. Our driveway REQUIRES 4WD and is best managed with FORMAL SNOW TIRES. All season tires or front-wheel drive should park on the street level next to the garage. Rear-wheel drive vehicles should not be used ever in the winter.

DRIVING UP THE DRIVEWAY IN WINTER MONTHS: Steady momentum is needed to prevent your vehicle from getting stuck in the driveway. If stuck we don't recommend applying salt. We receive too much snowfall for salt to be effective. Salt will melt some of the snow and quickly become ice. Sand and gravel are the only ways to ensure grip for walking and driving all winter long safely.

Vermont experiences REGULAR power outages. This would only be a problem if you rented somewhere else. Rest assured, when the power goes out, our 26KW generator will kick on and power the entire home.

Beautifully situated on the bank of Wardsboro Brook, this secluded, family-friendly home is a place to find ease, relaxation, and wonderful access to outdoor recreation in every season. Skiing at Mount Snow and Stratton Mountain, kayaking and paddleboarding at Grout Pond, and hiking on the Appalachian Trail - it's all within a few minutes' drive. Snowmobiling on the VAST Trail System is just up the hill.

This peaceful, tree-lined home is nestled in the Green Mountain National Forest along Wardsboro Brook, allowing you to nap in the hammock or picnic at the water’s edge, and host family badminton or croquet tournaments in the yard. Ascending the wheelchair ramp or the unique flight of stairs brings you to the large, partially shaded deck – a place to barbecue, dine outdoors, and soak up the summer sun with a view of the surrounding woods.

Inside, the home is spread out across multiple levels. The main living space features a great room with two sofas and a wood-burning fireplace, a fully appointed kitchen with two eat-in tables, and a door that leads outside to the deck. Cozy up to the fire with a blanket and a good book while supper is cooking. Ascending up half a flight of stairs is the sitting room – a great place to watch TV, log onto the WiFi and catch up on a bit of work, or set up a board game at night. The basement features a Ping-Pong table for hours of evening entertainment as well. There is a VAST SNOWMOBILE system in the neighborhood, Appalachian Trail 6.8 miles, and Manchester shops 27 miles.

After a day spent hiking, skiing/snowmobiling, or kayaking (with two kayaks and life jackets provided), you’ll find three of the bedrooms on the main floor, including a primary suite with A/C, a private bathroom, and its own back deck. The fourth bedroom is upstairs offering its own bathroom, balcony, and A/C as well.

Nestled along the foothills of Mount Snow and close to Stratton, Hillside Hideaway is the perfect escape for your Vermont adventure. Located 5 minutes to Mt. Snow and the town of Dover, this 4 bdrm/3 bath house is the perfect retreat. We're also a short distance to Stratton, Manchester and Wilmington.

Our home features a spacious living area, ground floor family room, and a game room and is surrounded by 2+ beautiful sprawling acres. Our home is an ideal destination for a getaway with friends

The space
When you enter the home you're greeted with a large entryway and mudroom with plenty of storage for all your hiking gear. Off the entry, you'll find a full bathroom with a laundry closet. Across from the bath, there is a bedroom with a queen bed. As you continue down the hall, you'll enter our open-concept common area. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prepare breakfast before a day out on the trails or an elaborate dinner with friends. Our dining table seats 6 plus with more seating at the kitchen island. Our kitchen opens up to the living room where you can cozy up in front of the gas fireplace or sprawl out on one of our couches with your favorite book and beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding forest.

On the second floor, there are two bedrooms and a full bath. One bedroom has 2 full beds, plus a twin with a pullout trundle. The other bedroom has a king and an exercise bike. The king bedroom includes direct access to the full bath. The full bath includes a large jacuzzi tub.

On the ground floor (basement), you'll find a large family room with a TV, gas fireplace, air hockey, and plenty of board games. This space is a great hangout for kids and adults alike. Off the family room, there is an additional bedroom with a queen bed. Down the hall, there is another full bathroom.

Outside the house, step into our hot tub, soak away any aches from the day's adventures and watch the stars. Relax with 80 jets, LED lighting and bluetooth speakers. There are two decks accessed via patio doors. The surrounding yard is large and well-maintained. There's plenty of space to run around and explore.

Bear Cub Cabin offers three cozy bedrooms. The upstairs master bedroom features a king bed. The upstairs guest bedroom boasts a queen bed. The downstairs guest bedroom is equipped with two full beds. All three bedrooms have their own closets. Each bedroom is adorned with locally sourced antique artwork and features plush memory foam beds for restful nights.

Bathrooms:
The upstairs bathroom has a walk-in shower with Moroccan cement floor tiles and handmade ceramic shower tiles. The downstairs bathroom offers a tub/shower combo, also elegantly designed with Moroccan tiles. Both bathrooms boast marble countertops, farmhouse sinks, and luxury Public Goods bath amenities.

Kitchen:
The fully equipped kitchen is a chef’s delight, showcasing modern Samsung appliances and reclaimed floating shelves. A selection of games is conveniently stored for indoor entertainment.

Evening conversations or simply listening to the cracking fire, it is firepit season. Time to
take in your morning mountain views of Vermont! Located directly off scenic Route 100 excursions are right out the door-Local bike rides, hiking, rivers and Mount Snow Canyon Express are all minutes away.

The space
Our peaceful 3 bedroom home overlooks a swimming pond and the Green Mountains. 10 acres of land grant you peace and serenity as well as access to the VAST snowmobile trail network which can be hiked or skied. The master bedroom has a comfy king bed and views of the surrounding forests. One bedroom upstairs has 2 queen beds and the other has a full bed and a full bed bunk bed. The open concept kitchen and living area are perfect for spending time with friends and family. The expansive deck has a grill and smoker with excellent sunset and mountain views. Our basement is a great place for the kiddos to hang out in the evening.

Located 10 minutes from Mt. Snow and 20 from Stratton. Parking is plentiful.

- Primary guest will be required to execute a rental agreement within 48 hours of booking the property or the reservation will be subject to cancellation. If you enter the property without signing the rental agreement, you concurrently agree to all terms of the rental agreement upon arrival at the Property grounds.

-During the winter season, you can expect snowy conditions, icy roads, and occasional snowstorms. An All-Wheel Drive (AWD) or Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) vehicle is required to book this property. Please exercise extra caution when driving and ensure your vehicle is adequately prepared for snowy conditions.

-Please be aware that inclement weather may lead to power outages or internet disruptions. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide refunds for circumstances beyond our control, such as power or internet loss.

Enjoy the tranquility of Vermont while being conveniently located close to both Stratton Mountain and Mount Snow. This 4 bedroom home has plenty of room for everyone!

In winter, Ski Stratton or Mt. Snow (approx 15 minutes to both). Add another 15 minutes to get the family-friendly Bromley.

The summer is equally fun. Mt Snow, Stratton and Bromley have multiple activities, including mountain biking, zip lining and golf.
There's a zipline in our large backyard - and nearby swimming waterfalls!

The space
The main floor has one bedroom and a large bathroom with shower and tub. The open kitchen is fully-stocked and opens up to a dining room and living room. Sliding glass doors lead to a large deck and a view of the back of Stratton Mountain.

On the second floor are two more bedrooms and a bath. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a large picture window with a lovely view of the mountain. There is also a desk/table for a private workspace.

The second bedroom is our "bunk room" with two full beds and a twin bed. Plenty of room for the kids!

The lower level has a large space with pullout couches and also a private room. A great space for the kids to hang out while the adults enjoy a fire in the woodburning fireplace on the main floor. The lower level also has a workspace.

Other things to note
Our house is in the mountains. As such, driving in the winter can be tricky. Stratton does a great job of removing ice and snow, but it can take a couple of hours for the roads to be cleared, especially if it is snowing hard. Also, our driveway is a bit steep. We have a plow company come after snowfalls, but we highly recommend an SUV or 4 wheel drive in the winter.

Everyone can spread out and relax at this comfortable and stylishly updated well appointed Stratton home.
Top rate skiing at Stratton, Mt. Snow, Bromley and Magic are just a few mintues away and Okemo and Killington are close enough for a day trip.
When you're not wintering, there's plenty of other things to keep you busy. Hiking, biking, swimming and leaf peeping are just a few of the many other activities that can be enjoyed throughout the year.

The space
This private home can comfortably accommodate 8 guests and features 3 bedrooms & 2 full bathrooms. A large kitchen and open concept living/dining area on the first floor is the heart of the home. Access the deck with table and chairs from the sliding doors in the LR. In addition a queen bedroom and full bathroom with tub/shower complete the first floor. (Guests who stay on the ground level also use this bathroom).

Upstairs is a private queen sized bedroom with en suite bathroom with a stall shower.

Ground level bedroom has two twin bunk beds to accommodate four guests. Here is where you'll find the one smart TV and DVD player with lots of choices of retro movies to watch. Also on the ground floor is a laundry room. From this floor, walk outside to the patio with 6 person hot tub, fire pit and a babbling brook that runs through the back of the property.

For avid skiers and winter enthusiasts, the house is an 8 minute drive to Stratton's Sun Bowl and 10 minutes to Stratton Mountain Village. Mt Snow is 15 minutes away and Bromley and Magic Mountain are within a 1/2 hour drive. Okemo & Killington are about an hour away. Manchester, Dover, Dorset and Winhall are just a few of the Vermont towns that are an easy drive away.

There's plenty to do all year round in the area including (but not limited to) hiking, biking, apple picking, horseback riding, kayaking, farm tours, golfing, brewery tours, sledding, snowmobiling and lots of delicious dining.

Built in 2022, this well appointed 3-bedroom, 1-1/2 bath, A-frame style house boasts a full kitchen, loft and living area that comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests.

It sits quietly on 2 sprawling acres of land, once home to the old Henry Eddy Sugarhouse.

It's skies are rated a Class 3 on The Bortle Dark Sky Scale so be sure to look up when you get here. 🔭🪐

We're located off a private gravel road with plenty of room for parking to the left of the A-frame.

Smart lock access for both the front and back doors with code given after booking (this code is automatically changed for each guest).

Other things to note
Because of our remoteness, we do have a doorbell camera at the front door. We'll only check the camera to confirm that you've arrived and departed, otherwise we'll completely respect your privacy during your trip.

We love all animals but the A-frame is only dog-friendly and kindly ask that you refrain from bringing your young or untrained pups, as they are more likely to scratch or damage the house and furniture.
