The cottage has mountain views with a popular 5 mile door to door loop walk which includes the Lower Hollow and the Upper Hollow. Turn left out the front door and return from the right, just follow the country gravel road and keep left or visa versa.

We are on a septic system, which means nothing other than septic-safe TP can be flushed (no sanitary products, flushable wipes, etc.).

The property is equipped with a doorbell camera at the front entrance and an additional camera inside the detached garage, which is used to confirm trash pick-ups on Wednesdays.

Wildlife: This is a home in a rural part of the country. You may see wildlife including deer, coyotes, foxes, and bears. Please be mindful of your surroundings and leaving out food and trash.

Weather: In the winter, there will be snow, ice, and occasional snowstorms. We recommend driving a vehicle with AWD or 4WD. Please drive with caution and be prepared with regards to the ability of your vehicle to drive in the snow. Tip: During winter and rainy weather, we ask that everyone enter through the side door on the lower level, as we do not have a space for coats/shoes on the upper level.

Power & Internet: This is a rural part of the country. You may lose power or internet during inclement weather. We do not issue refunds for loss of power or internet out of our control.

Air conditioning: The main floor has central air. AC availability is seasonal and depending on weather (late spring and summer). Heating is also seasonal, and depending on weather, available during the cold seasons (autumn-winter). Please do not leave doors or windows open when running the AC; this causes water to accumulate in the HVAC system and will very quickly cause ceiling leaks.

Pets: Your pups are welcome! There’s a one-time, non-refundable fee of $150 plus tax for one dog, and $50 plus tax for each additional. We kindly ask that dogs stay leashed outdoors and that owners clean up after them. Please note: we can only accommodate small dogs up to 30 lbs. Planning to bring a bigger pup? Just reach out before booking so we can check with the homeowner. Any pet-related damages may result in additional charges.

You can wander between our 3 living rooms, Great Room and Sun Room, trying to decide which one has the coziest spot for curling up with your coffee. Or maybe you'd rather decide which of our 3 decks and patios has the sunniest spot. Or you could wander up the back yard to the pond, relax in an Adirondack chair and watch the fish jump. But if all this fresh air has you feeling like a kid again, head for the tree swing in our big, gorgeous maple, or take a shady nap in our hammock. You can hardly tear yourself away, but there are so many wonderful things to explore in Dorset and Manchester!

Dorset is a most charming, quaint location in every season. In the early spring you can enjoy visiting a real maple syrup 'sugar shack' to see how Vermont maple syrup is made, and by late April and May, our gardens are bursting with color. In summertime, you must pack a picnic lunch and head to the local favorite swimming spot, the Dorset marble quarry, and join the locals in a time-honored tradition of jumping off the ledges. The endless nearby hiking trails beckon to be explored. In the fall, our stately maple trees in the front yard, and the surrounding mountain sides are breath-takingly ablaze with color, and in winter you must skate on our pond, sled down our hill and take a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride nearby! Downhill skiing, cross-country skiing and snow mobiling are just 15 minutes away, and there's a great ice skating rink just 7 minutes away. Any time of year, exploring the 100-year old covered bridges and meandering down the back roads through the adorable, quaint towns is a cherished favorite pastime. All of these activities and more await you at Owlswood!

Charming shops, bakery cafes and general stores are 3 minutes away on Dorset Green, and 7 minutes away in Manchester Center, not to mention the highly-acclaimed Southern Vermont Art Center, the historic Hildene House (former home of Robert Todd Lincoln) and the famous Vermont Country store. There are many local activities all year round, including the Manchester Summer Horse Festival, the water slide park at Bromley Ski Resort, art fairs, Sunday farmers' markets, outlet shopping, golf, fly-fishing, canoeing, horse-back riding, and don't forget incredible hiking, just minutes away.

When you return home from exploring, enjoy an outdoor game of badminton or volleyball in our dedicated court, all set up and ready to play! We also provide a nice wooden corn hole set, bocce ball and croquet sets, as well as a football, soccer ball, baseball mitts & balls, and frisbees to use in our huge front and back yards. You can even swim in our pond, or row the 3-person raft around! But there's nothing like just relaxing at the picnic table while you throw in a line for some catch-and-release fishing, or taking a lazy summer nap in the our incredibly comfortable hammock under the shady maple tree on a summer's afternoon...heavenly. We even have several fun trails on our property, such as the Pond Loop Trail, and the Bird House Trail. Great for walking your dog right at the house!

Once it's time to head indoors, start the evening by lighting a wood fire in the huge stone fireplace in the Great Room and playing some board games or starting a puzzle (we have lots!). Our brand-new, incredibly comfortable sectional sofa with a chaise lounge is the perfect spot to curl up with a good book, or snuggle up to watch a little TV or movie you've been meaning to see on our new QLED 55" high-def, flat screen Smart TV, with Blu-Ray player. We also have another 42" SmartTV all set up in the lower living room area with a Wii video gaming system, and 25+ games from which to choose, including Guitar Hero.

We have high-speed wireless internet, and you'll especially love our Sonos music system, on which you can play just about any song ever recorded at the touch of a button! We even have blue tooth speakers outdoors by the hot tub, too. There is a house phone with unlimited long-distance calling, and a USB printer for your use, as well.

For dinner your first night, why not bake a delicious home-made Chicken Pot Pie from historic Dorset Union General store on Dorset Green? But be sure to venture out for a great meal at one of the many award-winning restaurants close by. Dorset and Manchester are renowned for their incredible chef-owned restaurants, and farm-to-table cuisine. You could spend years trying all the amazing restaurants within a 10-minutes radius of Owlswood! It's also fun to create your own farm-to-table experience, using fresh produce from local Dutton Farms (the kids will adore seeing their cute farm animals, too). So bring your favorite recipes from home and cook up a feast in our very well-appointed kitchen with a nice breakfast bar, then gather everyone in the formal dining room for a cozy fireside meal. After dinner it's time to relax and watch the sunset over the mountains in our very private 7 person jetted hot tub, or roast marshmallows around the outdoor bonfire pit while gazing at the incredible Milky Way. We even provide the firewood!

Our little hamlet of Dorset, Vermont is located in the Southwest corner of the state, in the heart of the Green Mountains, only 4 hours drive from New York City and 3 hours from Boston. If you fly in, Albany, New York is the closest major airport, and Dorset is 1:15 minutes northeast by car. Burlington, Vermont is 2 hours north of us, and Manchester, New Hampshire is about 2:30 minutes east of us. We know you'll fall in love with Dorset just as we did. After renting places at the Jersey Shore and OBX, where the kitchen, and, the contents of the kitchen, seemed like a complete after thought, we decided to set up our kitchen properly. We like to cook and entertain, and the kitchen reflects our lifestyle. New white dishes & serving platters. New utensils, cutlery, pots & pans, coffee maker, French press, toaster over, blender, tea kettle, storage containers and kitchen tools. We stocked the cabinets with proper wineglasses, martini glasses, champagne flutes and craft beer glassware.

Our kitchen will be stocked with coffee, coffee filters, tea, olive oil, vinegar(s), spices. Foil, plastic wrap, baggies, trash bags are all provided.

Paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, mop, dustpan, broom, vacuum and a dust-buster are provided.

Our comfortable family room has the only TV on property. It is a 55 inch 'smart TV'.

COVID19 SANITATION: I have invested in a sanitation system, which is used by my cleaning crew, between every checkout and arrival. I saw it being used by my dentist in his office, after each patient, and I made the investment.
How does it work? Simple tap water, Kosher salt and vinegar are placed into the "water electrolizier" vessel. It has two electrodes. In 10 minutes, the electrodes turn these household items into hypochlorous acid. (HOCI) The hypochlorous acid is poured into an industrial fogging machine. When plugged in, the fogger produces a spray, containing millions of micro droplets. We spray each room and all surfaces. When the droplets settle and begin to evaporate, they destroy the cell walls of bacteria, germs and viruses. This is 10 x more powerful than using bleach as a disinfectant, yet, it does not damage our household furnishings. It is even safe enough to be sprayed onto fruits and vegetables!! .

MUSIC: We also have a BLUE TOOTH "Marshall Amp" Stereo system. Play wireless music, from your cell phone, or attach the cord to your iPod.

The Neighborhood

Dorset is one of the most beautiful and quaint towns in all of Vermont. There is the Dorset Playhouse for theater. Excellent dining options are right in town,...The Barrows House, the Dorset Inn and Inn at West View Farm.

The Dorset Union Store (in town), H.N. Williams Store (along Rt 30 -north) offer plenty of choices for sandwiches, soups, homemade baked goods, take away meals. Beer and wine purchases, too. H.N. Williams is also a mini-department store. Stop in for an amazing experience and a trip back in time.

Right down the hill from our house, in walking distance, is a little farm stand, offering, during summer and fall, garden fresh produce, eggs and syrups. Our neighbors, just directly below our house, make their own delicious maple syrup, and it is for sale.

The Dorset Farmers Market operates on Sundays from 10am to 2pm. Fresh vegetables, cheeses, syrups, honey, baked goods, dairy products, eggs, assorted crafts and live music. Located on Route 30, next to H.N. Williams. In winter, the farmers market moves inside the J.K. Adams Kitchen Store.

We are only 1 mile from the Dorset quarry, which is one of the states most famous swimming holes!

We are located close to Manchester ( 5 minute ride). Manchester offers a wide variety of dining options, galleries and plenty of outlet shops, and it is the home of Orvis!

Emerald Lake State Park is close by, for fishing and swimming. Non-motorized water craft can be rented, at the park. The world famous Battenkill River and Mettowee River are minutes away, offering some of the best trout fishing in Southern VT.

We are very close to Bromley, Magic and Stratton mountain for winter skiing, and summer fun. The Long Trail and Appalachian Trail cross along Route 30, near Peru / Bromley area, for easy access to a day hike! Within a 1 hour ride, you can ski at Okemo, Mt. Snow, Pico and Killington.

PELLET STOVE: The pellet stove is a very efficient source of heat during the winter. Use it as your main source of heat, with electric base board heat as back-up. It is easy to start, and directions are provided. The fireplace area has a nook, and it will be filled with six bags of pellets. Additional bags are stored in the outside shed.

PLOWING: The driveway and parking area will be plowed, during and after snow storms. You may be asked to move cars, to maximize the area to be plowed.

SKI RACK: Skis must be kept outside, on the ski rack.

CELL PHONE / WIFI: Verizon has a tower in East Dorset, and reception is spotty. However, I have added a Verizon 'mini' tower, in the family room, to boost the signal, and it works great in the house and on the deck area. You must dial #48 to connect to the mini tower. AT&T has a tower close by, and reception is good. WIFI is available, and the code is in the house manual, provided. It works throughout the house.

It had everything we needed and more for sleeping, cooking, and relaxing. We needed a place to stay for the time we spent showing at VSF, which is less than 2 miles from the property. Making it extremely convenient to get to the barn early in the mornings and get back to do night check. This house is spacious and can accommodate a very large number of people. If your cooking theres an abundance of everything youll need! The basement is great, with a pool table, that converts to a ping pong table, and theres laundry facilities! Each room has window fans and plenty of blankets. The living room area is also great to spread out in. Theres a grill on the porch that is awesome, and plenty of parking! - "We adored this place! Such a peaceful getaway while still close to town. We (stupidly) did not save the access instructions which was only an issue as there is no cell service while there. Thankfully I was able to pull up the email anyways but just a heads up for those visiting! The main house is within view, but only as much as an average neighbor would be. The last three miles to the house have breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. It's 10 minutes to the main road, but right there is a GREAT bakery/breakfast restaurant. Manchester is near enough for dinner, shopping, etc if you don't find something you like in Dorset. The place was clean and stocked and the owner was communicative and helpful. We'd go back and would recommend it for others."

It's a wonderful location for outdoor excursions, with Emerald Lake State Park (nine miles), Bromley Mountain Ski Resort (11 miles), and Stratton Mountain Resort (20 miles) all close by.

Spend summer mornings hiking and mountain biking, and afternoons taking advantage of the home's lovely outdoor spaces. There's an expansive yard with a play structure for the kids, a gas grill for family barbecues, and a large deck with ample seating where you can admire the illuminated mountains at sunset.

As you step through the door, you'll be greeted by a spacious interior where large windows frame the mountain landscape. The rooms are bright and comfortable, including a kitchen with stainless steel appliances, an adjoining dining room, and a living room with a smart TV mounted above the fireplace. The yard is great- lots off space and even a fun swing set. There is a great patio as well. The inside had a big open kitchen with a large family table. A lovely master suite downstairs and plenty of rooms upstairs. My one concern was that at least one of the rooms had not been made up with clean sheets and the house did not seem to have been vacuumed. But the kitchen and bathrooms were clean with fresh towels and amenities."

My husband, another couple, and our two dogs spent the weekend at Brian and Dons place. I am used to staying in Manchester for our annual foliage weekend, but i must day I will now stay in Dorset. We absolutely loved the local places - the Dorset Inn for dinner, multiple trips to H N Williams, the Union Store and the Bakery, which were all within walking distance of the house (not to mention downtown manchester is <10 mins away!). The house was the perfect cozy spot we were looking for. It was clean and comfortable, plenty of room to sleep, a backyard for the pups etc. Brian was super communicative with details and recommendations up well in advance and through the trip. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend, we will be back!

- "First of all the place is super clean, at the same time the host is so thoughtful that we can find whatever we need in the house: when we came back from ski we use the boots/glove dryer in the hall way, at nights when we went out and explore the mountain we found flashlights and hiking poles by our hand. Full set of kitchen appliance and the all-in-one washer/ dryer is easy to use. Central ac already works fine but every room still gets a separate heater. Tv has host’s Netflix logged in. Galina has been supper responsive and helpful before checking In and during our stay. Definitely recommend this place, especially if you are staying for more than one day so you can get the full experience."

A wonderful place to relax and reconnect with family and friends. This is a true four-season home. We are 20 minutes from Bromley Mountain and 15 minutes to Emerald Lake. Stratton Mountain is 35 minutes away and we are 10 minutes from Manchester Center.

The main living area has open layout with a fireplace that is in the kitchen and living room. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one full bath and one half bath. The master bedroom (with full bath) is on the top floor. There is also a bonus room that is used as a rec/game/laundry area. Our large 8 BR 3.5+0.5 bath ski clubhouse was just renovated in 2023 but retains the rustic feel of the 19c rural house
It is great for re-unions, events, wedding lodging and large groups.
We are the 2nd house north of the Emerald Lake Park (10 min walk) and 1.9 miles to VT Horse Show.

The space
The house has 8 bedrooms: 5 rooms with double beds, one room with a double and a bunk bed, one with a double and a twin and one with 2 bunk beds.
Warning: basement can have a damp smell after the rain.
We are currently hosting an Art Show by a renowned international artist Ilias Muratov. All of the works are for sale. Damaged or missing art will be charged to your deposit.
There are two large meadows behind the house. each with a fire pit (one on each side of the barn). There is a leveled volleyball/badminton/frisbee playfield (60'x60') and two fire pits (one on each side of the barn)
Camping is possible in the meadows. Campers must be included in the total guest count and paid for. Campers must use bathrooms in the house for #2.
No unapproved guests are allowed.
Our 19c Art Barn can be rented separately for events and dance parties. It has a large dance floor with a cathedral ceiling, a bar, and a lounge area.
It is a 19C barn, with an earth floor, covered in loose carpets. It has no heat, water, or bathrooms. Contact owners in advance if you want to rent it.

Note, that we're NOT an Airbnb business - we are a group of friends, supplementing the maintenance of our Ski House with out-of-season rentals.
If you are expecting it's five star hotel professional treatment please do not rent from us because you will leave us a bad review (4-star or less is considered bad).
That said, if you feel, that anything is not up to your expectations or not as described and does not deserve a 5-star review, please let us know ASAP and we'll try to remedy it right away or reset the expectations for future guests.

NOTES:
1. With recreational cannabis legal in VT state we still ask you not to smoke it (or anything else) inside the house.
2. We do allow well behaved and trained dogs that do not shed. Please include dogs into the person count to compensate for extra cleaning and let us know.
3. Please read the entire house manual before arrival and share it with the whole group.

Guest access
Guests have a courtesy shared access to the basement lounge with pool table, ping pong, sound system and laundry, leveled ball play field as well as a large meadow with fire pit and picnic table. Basement is not always cleaned between guests visits. No glass is allowed in the basement or on the meadow. Reusable plastic goblets are provided.
There is a large parking lot. Those spaces are shared with the owners. Please remove all trash before leaving
The owner's house deck, trampoline and a swing bench are strictly off limits. The lawn in front of owners house with sculptures and fire pit are private but can used with permission when owners are not present or rented separately for an event along with the Art Barn.
10 kW outlet is available by the owner section entrance for EV or camper charging. Please let us know if you intend to use it, so we can turn it on. You'll need a level 2 charger with a NEMA 14-50 plug and ~ 15 feet of cable. Outlet is metered at $0.30/kWh. We ask for a $50/day charging deposit and will refund the unused amount at the end of your stay.
There is a gas grill on the porch for guest use.
Please clean the grill after use. Uncleaned grill or kitchen oven will be assessed a $100 cleaning fee.
Gas tank for the grill is not refilled after each rental. Please exchange the tank if it is empty at the nearest gas station.

The space
The home is an Vermont home that was originally built in the late 1950's but was renovated in 2022 but kept the natural Vermont feel. . Kitchen and dining is an open flow concept. There are stairs to separate dining and living area. In the living area there is 2 futon couches with extra chairs to sit in. In the back of the home is a foosball table to entertain child out bring out the child in you!

Upstairs there is 2 bedrooms on each side of the home with linen closet next to bathroom with a shower. The tub/shower is located downstairs between the kitchen and living area.

Stratton is a short 18 miles ( 29 mins)
Bromley is 10 miles (16mins)

The property operates on a septic system. Guests must use only septic-safe toilet paper and must not flush any other items, including "flushable" products. This home is on a septic system so occupancy is strictly enforced to avoid a septic backup of sewage in to the house.


Due to its rural location, it is normal to find some bugs inside the house, especially if screen door is left open. There will be a lot of insects, bugs and other creatures that give the property its wonderful relaxing country feel. We ask you to expect that bugs may enter the home when doors are left open, get tracked in on shoes and luggage and are part of life in the country. If you have allergies to bees, please be aware there will likely be bees buzzing around. There will not be any refunds or cancellations in regard to normal bugs. We appreciate your understanding of this.

Located in the village of Dorset, the picture perfect Vermont small town. There is a large room on the first floor that opens to the kitchen and the deck. It is a great gathering place for groups and can accommodate up to 16 people at two separate dining room tables. Next to the great room is a cozy library, with the second fireplace, and desk. The second floor also has a large open room which works well as a playroom or other gathering place.

Enchanted Mountain House

Boasting lavish amenities and breathtaking mountain views, this stunning, multi-level East Dorset home is destined to inspire lifelong vacation memories.

Ideally located for outdoor enthusiasts, you’ll find The Golf Club at Equinox, Lye Brook Falls, and Stratton Mountain Resort within a 22-mile radius. Spend a day playing golf on a scenic course, hiking among shimmering waterfalls (Lye Brook Falls Trail is right out of Manchester), or skiing and snowboarding at world-class resorts. Okemo Mountain Resort and Killington Ski Area are also located a bit further out. Bromley is great for beginner skiers in the winter and also has a fun adventure park in the summer. While Stratton is a beautiful place to ski in the winter for both beginner and advanced skiers. It's also nice for hiking in the summer.

Visit the beach at Emerald Lake in the summer; you can hike around the lake year-round. If you like swimming in a pool created by a cold mountain river, Silver Bridge is the spot for you! Or, experience swimming in the waterfalls at Claredon Gorge. Check out Dutton Farm Stand for fruits, vegetables, and cute animals that the kids would love! There is also a playground at North Meadow Farm; you can see animals there and buy fresh meat.

Our home is located mid-way between Dorset and Manchester VT. This mid 70's style home has been remodeled and updated. The rooms are tastefully decorated. New baths, a well appointed kitchen, large dining area, vaulted ceilings, large deck & marble patio w/ fire pit. Private setting surrounded by woods and quarry pond. The access is flat and off a paved road. 3 min to Dorset. 5 min to Manchester. 10 min to VT Horse Show. 15 min to Bromley. 25 min to Stratton.

The space
After renting places at the Jersey Shore and OBX, where the kitchen, and, the contents of the kitchen, seemed like a complete after thought, we decided to set up our kitchen properly. We like to cook and entertain, and the kitchen reflects our lifestyle. New white dishes & serving platters. New utensils, cutlery, pots & pans, coffee maker, toaster over, blender, tea kettle, storage containers and kitchen tools.

We stocked the cabinets with proper wineglasses, martini glasses, champagne flutes and craft beer glassware.

Our kitchen will be stocked with coffee, coffee filters, tea, olive oil, vinegar(s), spices. Foil, plastic wrap, baggies, trash bags are all provided.

Paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, mop, dustpan, broom, vacuum and a dust-buster are provided.

Our comfortable family room has the only TV on property. It is a 55 inch 'smart TV'.

We also have a Marshall “ Stanmore” Bluetooth system for music. The sound system will allow you to use Pandora or Spotify broadcasts, from your smart phone, or from your iPod to the Marshall speaker. In settings, find "STANMORE"

Other things to note
COVID19 SANITATION: I have invested in a sanitation system, which is used by my cleaning crew, between every checkout and arrival. I saw it being used by my dentist in his office, after each patient, and I made the investment.
How does it work? Simple tap water, Kosher salt and vinegar are placed into the "water electrolizier" vessel. It has two electrodes. In 10 minutes, the electrodes turn these household items into hypochlorous acid. (HOCI) The hypochlorous acid is poured into an industrial fogging machine. When plugged in, the fogger produces a spray, containing millions of micro droplets. We spray each room and all surfaces. When the droplets settle and begin to evaporate, they destroy the cell walls of bacteria, germs and viruses. This is 10 x more powerful than using bleach as a disinfectant, yet, it does not damage our household furnishings. It is even safe enough to be sprayed onto fruits and vegetables!! .

PELLET STOVE: The pellet stove is a very efficient source of heat during the winter. Use it as your main source of heat, with electric base board heat as back-up. It is easy to start, and directions are provided. The fireplace area has a nook, and it will be filled with six bags of pellets. Additional bags are stored in the outside shed.

PLOWING: The driveway and parking area will be plowed, during and after snow storms. You may be asked to move cars, to maximize the area to be plowed.

SKI RACK: Skis must be kept outside, on the ski rack.

CELL PHONE / WIFI: I have added a Verizon 'mini' tower, in the family room, to boost the cell signal. It works great in the house and on the deck area. You must dial #48 to connect to the mini tower. The Verizon tower is over the mountain, in East Dorset, and reception in our home is spotty. AT&T has a tower close by, and reception is good. WIFI is available, and the code is in the house manual, provided. It works throughout the house.

At the center of an 18-acre private lot, get away from it all—whether it be sitting beside the large fireplace in the open living room, or outside on the wrap- around deck listening to one of four nearby creeks that pass through the property

This is a cabin in Vermont equipped with key creature comforts: pillow top bedding, high speed internet (Comcast,) with an open floor plan downstairs and a 1700 square foot rap-around deck. Think rustic meets comfort.

This home is great for families/friends who want to share time together, whether it be by the fireplace, listening to the creek or having a bar-b-que.

The grounds are more natural-- think woods , creeks and meadows plus a creak-side lawn. A place where you don't have to hear a sound a night, but can still take a zoom call.

Tranquilly situated in a forest glen with the waters of Timberbrook babbling below, this South Dorset home is a wonder at any time of year. You'll be surrounded by outdoor activity, with Bromley Mountain (10 miles), Stratton Mountain (20 miles), Mount Snow (31 miles), and Okemo Mountain (33 miles) close by. Back at home, a beautiful scene awaits, complete with a deck and a glassed-in sunroom overlooking the woods.

This two-story home is what you think of when you picture Vermont - a charming exterior, wide-plank wood floors, exposed ceiling beams, and picturesque views through generous windows. On summer days, explore the creek below, light the gas grill for afternoon barbecues, and linger on the deck in the fresh forest air. Come winter, curl up by the gas fireplace in the sunroom, pull a good book from the shelves, or set up a board game as a movie streams in the background.

Nestled within the rolling hills of the enchanting Dorset Upper Hollow and tucked in on 8+ private acres, sits a charming renovated, antique post and beam barn. Hollow House has a stunning open floor plan graced with Palladian windows, which allow an abundance of natural light and majestic mountain views in all seasons. The private retreat includes four bedrooms, three full baths, recently renovated kitchen, office, family room with smart tv, ping pong, and games, hot tub and attached garage.

The space
The kitchen and two bathrooms were renovated in spring 2024. The stunning kitchen includes a Wolf induction cooktop, oven, microwave drawer, refrigerator, ice maker, and all the cookware and dishes you need to enjoy them. The first floor master bathroom includes heated floors, a gorgeous soaking tub with a view, and a steam shower. A hot tub was also added on the rear deck just steps from the office or master bedroom and can be enjoyed year round. The house has AC via five heat pump units - one in each bedroom and one in the main loft. The home is comfortably cooled in the summer and warm in the winter.

This two-story home sits just over a mile from small-town Dorset, five miles north of Manchester, and around the corner from the local farmers market. It's a wonderful location for outdoor excursions, with Emerald Lake State Park (nine miles), Bromley Mountain Ski Resort (11 miles), and Stratton Mountain Resort (20 miles) all close by.

Spend summer mornings hiking and mountain biking, and afternoons taking advantage of the home's lovely outdoor spaces. There's an expansive yard with a play structure for the kids, a gas grill for family barbecues, and a large deck with ample seating where you can admire the illuminated mountains at sunset.

As you step through the door, you'll be greeted by a spacious interior where large windows frame the mountain landscape. The rooms are bright and comfortable, including a kitchen with stainless steel appliances, an adjoining dining room, and a living room with a smart TV mounted above the fireplace. In the evening hours, retreat upstairs to the billiard room or catch up on email at the desks in the kitchen, the primary suite, and one of the upstairs bedrooms.

Please do not leave doors or windows open when running the AC; this causes water to accumulate in the HVAC system and will very quickly cause ceiling leaks.

We are on a septic system, which means nothing other than septic-safe TP can be flushed (no sanitary products, flushable wipes, etc.).

During winter and rainy weather, we ask that everyone enter through the side door on the lower level, as we do not have a space for coats/shoes on the upper level.

Two additional bedrooms, including a kids' bedroom upstairs in main house (queen in one bedroom and kids room has two twins plus numerous cots). All bedrooms essentially have a private bathroom. There are a number of kids cots for sleeping lots of little ones.

We have been extensively updating the property, with many new features, including a new downstairs bedroom/bathroom suite, new heat pump heating/cooling system, new deck on the main house, and many new furnishings. Most of these are not reflected in the photos yet.
