At the price point of $400 after taxes and fees, we felt like a few things were lacking. The shower in the Gatsby Room had very low water pressure. No Wi-fi was an inconvenience. The TV was from 20 years ago and very small. The biggest issue for us was this…. If guests wanted to leave the manor after 10 pm, they had to disturb the inns keeper to constantly open the front door for them. There really should be a door bell or video monitoring system so that guests can come and go as they please. To feel like you're stuck in your room after 10 pm when you're paying $400 for the room is not ideal. Other than that, we loved the manor, breakfast was great, staff was very helpful, etc."

Our home is set away from the street and nestled in the woods for ultimate tranquility and privacy. Enjoy the peace of the huge fenced-in backyard and all of the fun you can have there! Relax on the patio, take a dip in the in-ground pool (in the summer), get a barbeque going on the grill, and gather around the fire pit with a drink, a s’more, or both.

We do provide basic amenities such as toiletries, paper towels, and essentials to get you started. However, if you’re planning an extended weekend stay or visiting with a larger group, we recommend picking up some extra supplies to ensure you have everything you need throughout your stay.

Security Deposit: A deposit equal to 10% of the reservation total will be charged and held securely. It will be fully refunded 48 hours after checkout if the property is left in good condition and all house rules are followed.

Please note that the pool is available from May 15 through September 1.

Pool maintenance is scheduled weekly, Monday and Thursday.

This house is set up for extended family groups and it is not suitable for rowdy parties. Outside guests are not allowed without prior approval. Unauthorized use of the home will result in immediate removal without a refund and guests will be held liable for any damage.
Please respect our neighbors and drive carefully on the roads nearby. No loud noise is allowed from 9pm-9am.
No smoking allowed. There will be a fine of $500 if the smoking rule was not followed.

The country house is rustic and as described and had everything we needed including smart tvs, towels, and kitchen supplies and laundry. The newly remodeled and re-furnished house is on 25 acres of property nestled against the base of the Ramapo Mountains in Harriman State Park. The property features pond and mountain views which delight the users with great wildlife and nature watching. Hiking trails are located behind the property as well as having some very popular trail heads within a few miles.

- "I really enjoyed my stay, especially the abundant wildlife on the property (blue herons, herds of deer, pond life, etc). I had everything I needed (I stayed alone, and was able to stay the full week on the main level). The view from the kitchen is pure peace and tranquility. I would caution parents to consider 2 things: 1. the property lies on a busy, fast-moving country road, though the house is set back quite far from it, so be prepared to keep kids in the backyard and supervised (I would also note that you cannot hear the traffic from this road with the air conditioners on in summer); 2. The twin beds are down stairs, while 2 possible traditional master bedrooms are upstairs. If you have a large family and will have young children at the house, you may wish to consider how to arrange sleeping arrangements as the children would be asleep on a separate level from the parents if you give them the twin beds. The living room feels like it would be the absolute coziest spot on the planet in winter, especially perfect for thanksgiving or Christmas holidays. The house has the cozy feeling of going to visit your grandmother with a nice, modern, and very functional kitchen with comfort and beauty throughout. I really appreciated renting this gem!"

Incredible back yard to sit down and relax while the sun goes up or down. Great location to 5 star restaurants, bars, walking trails and 10 mins away from The Palisades mall. Also close proximity to the metro north and route 59 bus services. The guests will have all access to all upper floors and the outdoors. They won’t have any access to basement, it is off limits to All guests, because it’s Occupied by host. I also have other listings so I’m in and out of the property. So sometimes some of the guests will see me and some won’t.

For the bathrooms, theres a half bathroom on the first floor in the kitchen area and the full bathroom is on the second floor next to one of the bedrooms. The living room is quite spacious and is connected to the pool room as well. Once outside in the back yard, you’ll have the two grills. One which is a wood burning grill and the other is a gas grill which the gas grill is supplied with a full tank of gas. Then the pool which is the main attraction of this humble abode. The pool is clean and also heated and we spent most of our time at the pool. Communications with Marcus (the owner) was very polite and respectful as well as response time when contacting him throughout the day. There is a curfew for the pool, kids are not allowed after 9pm and the pools closes at 11pm for the adults. Also there are security cameras on the property, but they are on the outside of the property mainly two which are by the kitchen entrance and one by the pool. During our stay we did not see nor hear Marcus at all. Overall our stay was quite relaxing and fun with no issues. Marcus really made us feel welcome even though we didn’t meet in person during our stay. I definitely recommend staying here!"

- "The sounds of the waterfall at other end of paradise was amazing.the nature was so green and lush yet 3 minutes to fresh bagels with freshly brewed coffee out on porch for some sun was fantastic as well. My children went from one activity to next exploring your yard and beyond.yes we even briefly caught a fish but the one that got away,, was huge. Thank you for a relaxing weekend apron our return from the city life down the road and around the corner we knew we’d be able to decompress. The photo’s didn’t even show how lovely the area was and that was a nice addition to the original location photos. Well be back!"

Welcome to my home! Your stay includes a gourmet custom kitchen, brand new appliances for all your yummy delights!! Boasting hardwood floors throughout & custom fireplace for added comfort. Enjoy the private outdoor space for quiet evenings at home. Located 10 mins away from Paramus, the Mecca of Shopping & Great dining. With only a few blocks walking distance to train to New York, or bus in the corner makes this home super convenient!! By car just 30 minutes!! Extended stays are welcome

- "This property been recently renovated, and I imagine we were the first tenants (fridge/oven still had new appliance stickers). The property is bare bones, meaning the owners rehabbed it then spent the absolute minimum $ to provide basic necessities for a rental - there is a "bed" in each room (one room has only an air mattress), but no other furniture. We had to put our glasses & phones & cup of water on the floor each night, as there were no nightstands. Some rooms have blinds, but the bathroom (importantly) does not - there are no blinds/curtains or frosting on the glass to prevent anyone driving up the busy street from seeing you naked in the shower, or even using the toilet. In addition, the kitchen has basic supplies, but they're all from the dollar store, so minimally functional. The coffee pot, for example, looked like it had been used once, and the percolator mechanism had melted into a pile of melted plastic in the bottom of the pot. The wine bottle opener was so cheap, the metal simply bent when you tried to open a bottle. We aren't complainers, so we didn't contact the owner because we don't consider those things a big deal. What we DID consider a big deal, is their response (or initial lack thereof) to an issue we had. On the morning of our departure, we awoke to find our son had unfortunately had a pee accident on the air mattress - which we promptly cleaned - but since we wanted to be honest, we emailed the owner immediately offering to go to the store to replace the air mattress before we left. This email was sent before 8am, and she did not reply until the following day (we had already traveled back home). She replied by stating that they would deduct the cost from our security deposit. She then proceeded to withhold $200, claiming that she paid $225 for it and needed to cover her damages. Not only was this mattress a totally basic, no-name-brand discount store air mattress (I took photos), but even now when I search online, I'm not able to find ANY air mattress (besides a glamorous, brand name Aerobed pillowtop) that comes even close to that price. So with a price of 2 nights + fees + tax + air mattress = A price VRBO will not let me publish, but I’ll say 4 adults could have stayed in the Plaza in Manhattan for FAR less. Save your money."

• The pool is available from May 15 to September 1.

• Kindly be aware that there is a $75 charge per day to access the heated pool

• Pool maintenance is scheduled weekly, every Wednesday and Sunday.

• Lost/forgotten keys incur a replacement fee; the minimum charge is £150
• Unauthorized early check-in and late check-out charge is £250 plus the equivalent amount of the night(s) impacted

There’s also Parsons Pond Park, which offers trails for walking and biking. The pond is gorgeous at sunset and is a great place to spend a summer evening.

Hot tub is open thru out he year accept extreme weather conditions in the winter.
If the weather gets below 10 degrees the heating element can not keep up.
