Breathtaking view of the river, looking at Westchester and the Cuomo Bridge. Large family room with open kitchen, dining area and living room. 2 bedroom and 1 bathroom upstairs. Master bedroom at mid-level and guest room downstairs. Very large deck area on the Hudson, long dock into the river. Various sports accessories included as kayaks, paddleboards, Babington...ONLY 40min from Midtown Manhattan.
- "This home is lovely and comfortable. Breathtaking views of the Hudson at sunrise- perfect deck overlooking the water to sit and enjoy my morning coffee. Quiet and very private- this property was perfect for my families little getaway. Incredibly kind owners." - "Our experience was perfect! Beautiful home and location. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed our bust! Eric was amazing in making sure we were comfortable" - "We booked this house 1) due to the location (family in the area), 2) plenty of space for guests and 3) based on the great reviews - which are true and accurate. We stayed 12/21-12/27. We wanted to be close to family and desired adequate space for our party of 7 and for folks to visit comfortably. With a 1 yr. old, we wanted to limit our travel and have family come visit us. Our experience and outcome exceeded our expectations - which were high! Eric is a great host and even provided us a real, decorated Christmas tree. And our grandson took his first steps in the main area common space so this place really holds special meaning for us. The common space is so great. Fireplace with raised hearth was perfect. We had a fire going most of the time. Dining table/area doubled as the puzzle home and grandson's favorite eating spot - as he could see all the action going on and watch the fire. Kitchen was well stocked - even for baking a lot of Christmas cookies. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Master bedroom is an oasis of its own. You may feel like you are on a cruise ship in a Royal suite! The Mario M. Cuomo bridge is in full view from the living areas and is quite colorful at night. Town of Nyack is also close with plenty of stores and restaurants. We made several trips to the French patisserie for breakfast treats and the Old World Food Market serves just about anything you need - including household items. Our 2 boys, daughter-in-law and 1 girlfriend went into NYC for Rockefeller Center and a show. We can see how this house would be great in summer or warmer months where you can utilize the outdoor space and water. Thank you Eric for sharing such a special spot!!"

- "Lovely place, very neat, clean, bright & airy. We enjoyed every minute of our stay." - "I almost don't want to positively review this little gem of a studio in the heart of downtown Tarrytown (because I'd love it to be available whenever we need it!) but here goes: perfectly, accurately described in the listing, has everything a guest might need, super clean (with excellent cleaning products available), very comfortable bed (made in the European style -- duvet and no top sheet), ample closet space, amazing shower, great little kitchen. And did I mention super clean? Aesthetically, it's ready for its InstaCloseUp. And situated so very conveniently -- 450 feet from Muddy Waters (awesome coffee and service), and close to the multitude of Tarrytown restaurants, not to mention drug store, supermarket, post office. (Growing up here, who knew downtown Tarrytown would transform into its current form?)"

- "It was a quick walk to downtown. Place was clean and inviting. " - "This property was perfect for what my wife, our friends and our two infants (6m) needed in the sleepy hollow area. Ample space, in walking distance to downtown Tarrytown, and even included multiple infant perks like a pack n play. The property manager was very responsive and even had toilet paper delivered within hours upon finding out there was none on the property. Moreover, It was quick and easy to get to sleepy hollow for food and tours. The two pieces of constructive criticism I would provide is that the washer located in the bathroom off the kitchen had some mold which should be cleaned up. Second, the master bedroom which has its own private door off the main entrance has thin walls. Those who were in the unit above us made a lot of noise exiting the front of the property via the stairs and front door, but we moved to one of the back bedrooms and it was much quieter. "

- "My family from overseas just spent 10 days at this incredibly lovely residence. Everything was perfect. The owner was very welcoming and made sure every need was attended to. The location was ideal, super convenient to local attractions and easy access to NYC. The pictures do not do it justice. It’s simply gorgeous inside. Highly recommended. " - "Our stay at this VRBO was absolutely amazing. It was perfect in every way possible. Located in the historic area of Main Street, Tarrytown with so many choices. The unit has been completely renovated and everything was state-of-the-art. We stayed in July and the air conditioning system was the best ever! Also, we slept soundly on a very comfortable bed in the master. So nice while you are on vacation. They even managed beautiful streamed natural sunlight. I loved the stylish decor and warm atmosphere the apartment created. It was a wonderful experience. As a reminder you are walking distance to Metro-North railroad, which will bring you directly into the beloved Grand Central Station & you can explore NY from that point. Best Wishes to All for a Great Experience. MP"

We felt so fortune to find a home that had so much space, clean and modern, with every amenity you can think of. The location was perfect for our events during the weekend. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very large and comfortable. It was perfect for our family of 5 with a little one under 1 years old. Wish we had more time to spend at the house and walk along the trails near by but it was a busy weekend for us. Thank you Zach for the excellent communication during our stay at this beautiful home."

- "We went up for the parade in sleepy hollow. There was a ton to do in area this weekend and the house was great location on a quiet cul de sac. The house had a bunch of toys and sports balls in garage, our kids had a blast. The view of the river was also incredible, the bedrooms were all very large and 3 out of the 4 had bathrooms. The basement was a great hangout as well." - "The Stone Manor offered a perfect home for our family to come together to celebrate the marriage of our niece. The wedding occurred at the Sleepy Hollow Country Club, a 2-minute drive from the home. All of the rooms were clean and the accommodations were as described. There is an enormous open concept fully stocked kitchen, dining room, and living room for all 10 of us to comfortably gather for breakfast and lunch, watch the Olympics, and get dressed for the wedding. A major rainstorm occurred during the weekend, so we were not able to take advantage of the outdoor areas and decks, but the home was a nice sanctuary during the storm. We had an absolutely lovely time at this home."

- "We stayed for 5 days. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. " - "We had a fantastic stay at Castle in the Sky! Mark and Jill were incredibly communicative and gracious hosts, from the moment we booked until the end of our trip. We were warmly greeted by Mark upon arrival, which set the tone for a perfect weekend. The house is a true labor of love, with so much thought and care put into every detail. This is a huge, beautifully designed home with stunning views from every angle. The house was spotless, comfortable, and fully decorated for Halloween—my daughter especially loved it! The hosts made sure we had everything we needed, from plush robes and towels for every guest to well-appointed balconies with gorgeous views and ample seating for multiple people. We especially enjoyed the pool table and large-screen TV on the top floor, and every room had comfortable beds and ceiling fans for a perfect night's sleep. The master suite is a dream, complete with its own bath, a heated fan, and a soaking tub. The other guest bedrooms were just as cozy, and having full access to a washer and dryer was a bonus. The natural light that floods the house is beautiful, making every room feel bright and inviting. One of the highlights was my daughter picking a pumpkin from their personal garden—such a sweet and memorable touch! Overall, Castle in the Sky is a gem, and we can't recommend it enough. We look forward to returning! "

- "We only stayed a couple days, but the location is quaint and apartment newly refurnished. The owner was very helpful and great to work with. Highly recommend!" - "The apartment was nice. No bedside tables or lamps, that would’ve been nicer. I specifically asked about stairs when I booked and was told, yes there is one flight of stairs, but there are railings. I’m perfectly able to do normal household stairs with railings, so I wasn’t concerned. Upon arrival we found that the outdoor stone stairs only had one short railing on one side. We ended up having to access the property from below where my husband was able to drag me up a hill in a wheelchair (not my normal mode of transportation). We made the best of a difficult situation. Mark said I should have told him I couldn’t do stairs without railings and he would’ve built me a path from below and mowed the high grasses that we dragged through for ten days. We probably won’t risk using VRBO again. I would’ve taken the loss and gone to a hotel, but since it was a holiday weekend, there were no vacancies in the area."

Two room studio with enclosed yard. Perfect for dogs. One block from Main Street, two blocks from Broadway, seven minute walk to Metro North. Backyard has tables and chairs, chiminea/fire pit and barbecue. Location, location, location.
If you want to experience Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow without a car, this is the perfect location.
The apartment is in the rear of the building and very quiet. The backyard is spacious for being so close to Main Street and a perfect place for a pet to roam around in.
The apartment building itself is very old with possibly some of it being built on the 1800’s but the apartment itself is very functional
The three star review was from my first guest. The issues they mentioned have been addressed. The heat had yet to be used this year and building management only turned it on October 15th and there was an air conditioner in the window which has been removed. There’s also a space heater. Guest didn’t contact me until the day before he left otherwise I would have tried to rectify the problems earlier.
- "My partner and I stayed for the Halloween festivities in Sleepy Hollow and were so happy to have found this place. To sum up the apartment in 3 adjectives: clean, simple, and comfortable. Nice firm full-size mattress, cozy sheets, excellent coffee, and solid wifi. Great restaurants and quaint shops were less than a 5 minute walk from the apartment right in the center of Tarrytown. The Old Dutch Church and cemetery were about 20min walk. Downtown Sleepy Hollow was about 10-13min walk. If you drive in make sure you read the parking rules carefully, we had no issues with parking for free while we were there but could see how a person could misunderstand the parking signs."

Situated in the heart of Downtown Nyack, NY! This comfortable flat is a perfect getaway for couples or families. The apartment, located in a quiet and safe neighborhood holds everything you need with a fully stocked kitchen, included amenities for the bathroom, and more! Experience the charm that this unit has with its original hardwood floors from the 1800's, with renovated modern touches such as a fully refurbished kitchen. 45 min from manhattan, making it such an easy drive from the city!
- "The unit was very clean, comfortable and cheery. The kitchen was quite well stocked except the utensils and plates were barely a step above disposable. The street itself is not the most picturesque, but the vicinity to stores/restaurants was very nice." - "The spot was a good 2 bedroom apartment nice for a place to stay when we were visiting family nearby. It had everything we needed for a quick overnight stay. A few things to know for future visitors are that: 1. Getting to the second bedroom, in the attic, was steep with no railing steps (even steps to get into apartment were tight/steep and could see it being difficult for some) but being younger made it ok to get up and use 2nd bedroom. 2. Owner reached out with check in and parking directions day of check in. Stated that if someone was in driver blocking our spot to let them know. I texted and called twice and never heard anything back. We wound up meeting neighbor and handling parking issue ourselves, quick and easy fix but was worrisome that someone more serious , important or timely good have happened and we’d have no contact."

- "Beautiful property, stylish apartment, clean and comfy, and perfectly located! Walkable to all the cute stuff downtown. Would definitely stay here again!" - "We needed a rental near the Nyack Boat Club. The home was only a few blocks away and was the perfect residence to go back and forth from for our regatta. Super clean and worked out perfectly. Thanks, Dorothea." - "Recently remodeled, this beautiful 2 bedroom apartment had everything you might need for a stay in the wonderful little town of Nyack. It's located on a charming little street, within easy walking distance to downtown and amenities. The apartment is well equipped and was spotless. There is charming courtyard-back yard to use as a great place to relax during nice weather. Dorothea was a wonderful and responsive host. 5 Stars!"

This is a 3 BR house in Nyack overlooking the Hudson River, with a beautiful view of the Tappan Zee Bridge. Great restaurant’s and store’s in the town of Nyack. Very accessible to different highway’s such as 1-87, PIP, GSP here. The Palisades Mall is close. We require a two night minimum stay. There is a separate apartment upstairs, lived in by the caretaker. This house is furnished and lived in by the owner when it’s not being rented out. Look at pictures and ask any question’s before booking.
- "Comfy and chill! Nice stay." - "The home is in a nice location with a beautiful view." - "This property should not be on VRBO. There are/were dozens of extension cords all over the place, some plugged in, others apparently were floor decor? Additionally & horribly the only bedroom with a double bed is upstairs, both bathrooms (which were not clean) are downstairs. The kitchen is a mess. Barely any plates, glasses, coffee cups, silverware. A mini coffee pot so needed 2 pots each morning. Mops brooms cleaning supplies left out. Milk & other perishables left in fridge. Fridge not clean. Ick! The bathrooms! OMG. The owners left exactly ZERO counters cleared off. Their stuff was all over the bathroom so we needed to straighten things up to make usable. When you walk in … it’s not clearly a rental. More like your cousins went on a road trip & asked you to house sit. Overall, uncomfortable, not clean, and the bathroom situation made a good nights sleep all but impossible. Not only don’t I recommend…I would urge VRBO to actually inspect this property. It’s not up to snuff. And not worth what they are charging."

- "We stayed at this house for 11 nights, and it was perfect. Great location.well appointed kitchen, great back porch. The owner was very responsive to any requests. Would highly recommend" - "We stayed 9 days in Charlotte’s home to attend a wedding at Lyndhurst (directly across the street!). Charlotte is so kind and a great communicator from start to finish. She was available when we had questions yet gave us our privacy. The home was awesome - the open areas downstairs gave us the space to relax and spend family time. The kitchen has all high end appliances and cookware. The four bedrooms upstairs are large and comfortable. We enjoyed the back patio in the evenings, especially watching the beautiful deer that frequent the property. The location of this home is close to Tarrytown and the surrounding areas as well as a quick train commute to NYC. I HIGHLY recommend this home! We frequently stay in short term rentals and this was definitely one of our favorites! Perfect all around!"

“The Stable,” AKA Wagner House, has a rich history and served as a barn for 5 or 6 horses from the 1830s, for many years, and later as a hat factory. In 1891, Mr. Wagner bought the barn and remodeled it to be the fine residence it is today. The home also opened its doors to the public in the late 20th century, early 21st, as a Bed and Breakfast.
Today, this gracious late 19th century home, sits proudly on a knoll, behind an old sandstone wall, with extraordinary views of the Hudson River in front and a 10+ mile nature trail - old rail trail, in the rear. Conveniently located between Piermont and Nyack, there are many marinas, restaurants and shops close by. The Stable is approximately 3,000sf on three levels with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. Architectural details are late 19th century style moldings, doors and floors, including wide board pine floors, 3 wood burning fireplaces, its many doors & windows and even a greenhouse, brings light inside the home much of the day. It also offers 2 sun porches/rooms and two outdoor porches. Walkout lower-level features massive sandstone walls with tall ceilings and a recreation room with bath. Its lower level is above grade and features an extraordinary sandstone foundation with huge sandstone blocks and flooring with tall ceilings . It's quite a substantial space. Transportation to NYC is close by, with the Tarrytown train station/Grand Central, only 12 min. away, and the bus to NYC can be hailed right Infront of the property. Nothing compares to The Stable! Our house, one of the oldest in Nyack, is on a quiet street by the Hudson, close to the great shops and restaurants in the center of Nyack, and to hiking trails. You’ll love the coziness, the cottage garden, the kitchen, the location, the front porch, the back patio and grill, the fenced-in back yard, river views, and our sweet cat, Cora. It's perfect for relaxed couples and families who will treat the house and the cat with tender loving care. Contact us about monthly summer stays.
The space
The house is, as pictured, charming and lived in, full of family pictures and magnets with memorabilia on the fridge. It is clean and tidy, but if you are accustomed to modern houses, you might not be comfortable with old wooden floors, steep staircases, and persnickety doors. We clear out room in closets and drawers for our guests, but the closets and dressers are not completely empty. I suggest you read the reviews to get an even better sense of what to expect from our sweet house. We have a brand new refrigerator, gas range, and Weber gas grill. Ninety-nine percent of our guests have found our Bohemian Garden Cottage adorable, charming, and happy. It has a warm and friendly feeling, and we are looking for warm and friendly guests.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire house except for a room upstairs marked "private" where I stow family items. This room isn't featured in my photographs, so you won't miss it! There is laundry in the basement, and the basement is old and the steps steep. There is a front porch to lounge on, and the wild back garden has a patio and a brand new Weber grill. The driveway fits two cars snugly, there is parking on the street (read the signs!), and we are four blocks from the shops and restaurants in town.
Other things to note
Our cats, Will and Cora, come with the house. They are low maintenance, and part of staying here is agreeing to care for them.

I am looking for a responsible and trustworthy person(s) who will enjoy living here for 3 months and taking care of my 2 beloved cats. I'll be happy to talk with you about any questions you might have.
