The cottage has been completely redecorated. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and one with a full-size bed, plus a sleeper sofa in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped.

The 'QUIET CORNER' is considered by many to be New Englands Antiquing Capital. We are 40 minutes to Providence, 45 minutes to Hartford, and 55 minutes to Boston. Mohegan Sun and Foxwood Casinos are 30 minutes away.

Jane was a wonderful host who was very responsive. The house itself is older and has some wear, but honestly this adds to its charm (save for a few issues that were promptly addressed). Our family also fell in love with Alexander Lake, and hope to return next summer. The lake is peaceful and wonderful for swimming and kayaking. The house has no AC but we were hardly ever without a wonderful breeze coming off the lake, and rarely got hot. The grill does need some attention- we could only ever get one burner to light which made it a bit hard to cook out. Overall, my only hesitation in writing this review is concern that the house will become harder and harder to book. We already plan on returning next summer. ❤️"

East Killingly, one of the original 10 villages of Killingly, centered around the Acme Cotton Mill in the 19th century. This community has the best rural life has to offer--from ridge-top orchards (just up the road!) to trails around the mill ponds to watching horses and cattle graze. All the sights and sounds of small town life that people love are here--from kids playing in their yards to roosters welcoming the dawn. We live in the historic village of East Killingly. With homes built from the mid-19th century to today, the lots are tight--like you'd expect from an era before cars!

Please note: Window air conditioning units are provided from May 1 to October 31 only. They are NOT provided from November 1-April 30.

This rustic log cabin has a private bedroom, with a full bed, and sleeping alcoves off the sleeping porch with a queen bed and bunkbeds. Wake up to views of the lake or enjoy a relaxing fire and watch the sun set. Two pellet stoves offer cozy nights during winter months.

Nearby activities include hiking in the state forest, the beach and picnic area at Wallum Lake, water slides at Whittin Reservoir and concerts and paddlewheel boat rides at Indian Ranch, all within 10 minutes of the cabin!

Enjoy quietly unwinding on the lake, which has no public access or motor craft, surrounded by the woods. There are books and boardgames for your enjoyment as well as wifi and a television. There are two kayaks and a pedal boat for your use as well as some basic fishing equipment (Massachusetts does require a license for anglers over the age of 14). There is also a good supply of split firewood for your use.

The kitchen is stocked with many of the cooking basics(spices, oil, butter, ketchup, bbq sauce, etc.) so you can easily prepare meals or use the gas grill. The cabin does not have a washer/dryer but there is a laundromat in nearby Webster if you require.

There are three exterior security cameras on the property, none of them face into the residence.

Located on a dead-end road, this residence has a private cabin feel, nestled in the woods on 2.4 acres and with over 200 feet of waterfront.

Enjoy your morning coffee on the large, comfortable screened in porch, overlooking the lake, or soak in the view from the master bedroom’s log-framed king bed. Take the short winding path down to the shorefront for great bass fishing from our newly installed dock, or get your toes wet! This is a second floor walk up, with a full flight of stairs out side. We use two additional rooms upstairs as storage and a guest room, that are separated from unit with lockable doors.

Entering the home is a great room: large living room with a 75” TV hanging from the ceiling. When sitting on the large leather sectional couch you have a lake view across the entire living room. Open kitchen sits behind the living room with lake view. Newly renovated full bath off of the kitchen.
First floor has a queen bed. Second floor has new full bath, washer and dryer and 3 bedrooms, 2 king beds and 1 queen. Each bedroom has a 55” TV and small refrigerator. There are also 2 full size refrigerators, 1 in kitchen 1 in breezeway.
The yard has a beautiful patio and large firepit overlooking the lake.

This is an 1800s saltbox replica with large windows overlooking pine, oak, and red maple trees, as well as a wall that shows off the foundation stones. The in-law studio has a private entrance on the ground floor with a small private deck, full double-sink bathroom with a unique spa-like shower, a coffee maker, a water bubbler, a microwave/air fryer, and refrigerator. There is one queen bed with a very comfortable bamboo mattress and down duvet. The kitchenette area has a table that can double as a place to work remotely (with great wifi). There is a large closet, as well as a cozy couch where you can watch Netflix and live TV, or look out at the beautiful scenery. You also have private access to a grill. The (unheated) pool and hot tub are surrounded by trees and are accessible 24 hours (pool is open April-October). The three-floor barn is home to chickens, ducks, goat, sheep, a mini horse, and pigs, our animal rescues through our small non-profit, The Farmette Sanctuary.

This is a great place to rest and rejuvenate during your stay while never leaving the property (Doordash delivers!), or take advantage of the many things to do nearby - go on a hike at the Thompson dam or a local state park, visit Old Sturbridge Village (the largest living museum in the Northeast), or listen to live music at a brewery or pub.

My wife, dogs (Bentley, Sparkle, and Polly), and I live on the other floors of the house and love welcoming folks to our space. We are happy to give you a tour and share about the property, or give you space to have a private getaway.

You will have private access to the studio. The unheated pool, hot tub, garden, barn, and trail are shared use.

Hosts live on the main/second floor and will be around and available to answer questions or help as needed.

There is no lifeguard on duty. The pool area is gated off - please exercise caution and safety and swim/enjoy the hot tub at your own risk. Note that the wood planks around the pool are wobbly, please walk carefully and use caution as you enter/exit the pool. Additionally, please use extreme caution if using the outdoor rock steps to get to the studio entrance (please note that there is only one step if you enter by the garage side).

Please be sure to include in your booking if you will bring a child or a pet with you on your visit. We set up the space slightly differently if we are expecting children or dogs, and it’s important for us to know who is staying in our home. Please note there is a $50 pet fee and we have a Pack and Play available for young children.

Please note there is no stovetop in the space - no stovetop cooking is allowed as there is no exhaust fan in the kitchenette. You have private access to an outdoor grill, and a cast iron skillet and saucepan are provided for your use on the grill as well as oil, salt, pepper, and basic cooking utensils. Be sure to use the oven mit when holding the handles as they get very HOT on the grill. Dirty dishes can be placed in the basket and left outside if you would like us to wash them overnight (please inform us if you would like this service. You can also wash them using the dish soap provided in the bathroom).

The Farmette is in a Rural Residential Agricultural District. That means there's a local mix of residences and farms (livestock and agriculture). While you get a rural feel, we're only a few minute drive away from grocery stores, shops, etc.

Guests will need a car as there is no local public transportation. The farmette is only 3 minutes from Exit 50 off of interstate 395, so you can quickly get to Thompson center, Putnam, or Webster (grocery stores, Target, restaurants, etc within 10-15 min). There is plenty of parking space available on the farmette, including for trailers.

Paddle board and kayaks were fun to explore the lake. plenty of tubes, floats as well as life jackets." - "We live about 20 minutes away but may as well have been in New Hampshire or Maine while staying at this relaxing oasis. The property owners maintain a clean and up to date home. The kitchen is stocked with every cup, dish, pot, pan and gizmo you'll need and the grill is large enough to prepare dinner for a family. There is an open first floor plan that makes it easy to settle right in. Both second floor bedrooms and the full bath (complete with washer and dryer) are clean and comfortable, with the master BR offering a view of the lake. We were concerned that there would be a lot of boat traffic, being near the public boat launch. However, we did not find boating activity to be bothersome at all and, in fact, the No Wake Zone ensures the water skiers, wake boarders and jet skis stay in the main part of the lake. When not in the water, most of our time was spent on the deck, which spans the fill width of the house. There is a welcome book with a few simple rules, instructions for appliances and suggestions for local activities and restaurants. So, you will not waste precious vacation time trying to figure those things out. We recommend this property to adult couples, groups of friends or families with children and are sure you will make many happy memories just as we did. Grace Note Farm is close to family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space, the ambiance, the location, the views, and the people. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). Overnight and breakfast means lunch and dinner are off the farm as food is not permitted in the rooms. Home cooked meals are available by special arrangement.

There are many colonial antiques and reproductions that give the visual experience of farm life in that time. The pace is slower, farm life and nature is all around. Conversation is enjoyed by all. One is a large roof deck with spectacular views, weather permitting. There is plenty of onsite parking.

The guest house is separate from the main house. Owners will meet you with the key or other arrangements will be made in advance.
Weather permitting there are 2 separate decks for the guest house. One at the floor space level and one on top of the roof offering amazing views. Both decks have seating and are exclusive to the guest house. There are 2 sets of stairs. One is outside leading to the first deck and the other is inside the garage. If the outside stairs aren’t clean because of bad weather, the inside stairs can be accessed. A garage bay can be acquired if needed for a fee., and must be booked ahead. The water front area may or may not be shared with us, ( we might be gone). It has a deck over the water with a pavilion, fire pit, plenty of seating, a 2 hole pitch and putting green. It also has a private boat launch, and a space on the dock , and on occasion- wood fired pizza oven , all can be arranged depending on availability, and at additional fee’s .

Other things to note
The Main House property will share the beach, pavilion and putting green. 2 kayaks are available to qualified , experienced adults only. These must be booked ahead of time . They are not always available .

We have a private boat launch and slip available for an extra cost so bring your own boat or jet skis!

Guests will receive a unique door code and detailed check-in instructions the day before their stay begins. This secure, guest-specific code allows for easy self-check-in.

Please park in the driveway only. The gravel section next to the garage is designated for the trash and recycling bins.

Other things to note
Please note that starting in November, the lake is seasonally lowered and kayak/paddle board use is unavailable. Water levels return to normal by mid-spring. All other amenities—including the hot tub, gym, fire pit, and indoor fireplace—remain available for a cozy and relaxing stay. A wood-burning fireplace is available for guest use; firewood can be purchased locally.

Please note that this property is managed by a professional Property Management Company, which requires the guest making the booking to sign a separate "Rental Conditions" form and provide a copy of their driver's license. This information is used exclusively by the Property Manager for safety, security, and emergency purposes. Rest assured, the copy remains within the software, is encrypted, and does not leave the system.
