Welcome to the Amesbury Farmhouse! We are an 1820's farmhouse located in historic Amesbury, MA. Our Tuxbury Suite is private, clean and complete with refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and fully stocked restroom.
The Amesbury Farmhouse is situated on 3 peaceful acres and is across from a beautiful town-owed farm with walking trails leading to the shores of picturesque Lake Gardner. We are only 1 mile from downtown Amesbury where you can enjoy many amazing restaurants, breweries and shops!

The space
Our Tuxbury Suite is located upstairs and has a large bedroom with king sized bed, along with a separate living/dining space and a well appointed restroom with a recently remodeled standup shower.
The suite has its own entry door at the front of the house and is private, comfortable and complete with refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker/coffee, and a dedicated workspace.

Guest access
Guests can access their own private suite via the front door. There is a staircase that leads directly up to the suite. Guests may pull up and unload luggage directly in front of the center door, and then may park in the designated parking space to the left of the farmhouse.
Weather permitting, guests may spend time in the yard reading/relaxing in the comfy orange Adirondack chairs provided near the pine trees!

The Tuxbury Suite gets its name after the Tuxbury family who lived in the home and farmed on the property in the late 1800's/early 1900's.

This is a perfect home base for exploring coastal New England. Close to the N.H. beaches, very close to the beautiful historical seaport city of Newburyport. My house is on a quiet street, walking distance to the center of charming little Amesbury.
I live in a wonderful place and enjoy sharing it with my Airbnb guests!
The house was originally built in 1890, but was gutted and totally rebuilt in 2010. It is modern and comfortable in every way.

Guests park in the driveway, right next to the deck. Enter by the sliding door that opens to the deck, and proceed up to your 2nd floor private room.

The guest room is on the second floor. Shut the door and you have your bedroom and bathroom to yourself with complete privacy.

Washer and dryer are available for your use, located in hallway just outside your room.

There is a welcome booklet for you with information about the house, parking, WIFI, and whatever you might need to make your stay comfortable and pleasant.

It is a downtown location, so there is foot traffic, urban bustle, and interactive town activities (our town hosts Ironman triathlons, brewery tours, apple orchard events, so be open to social events taking place). The good news is the town is pretty much asleep by 9pm.

The unit is on the first floor with our household on the second. Our dogs tend to bark a bit as guests come and go but they settle down quickly.

We do our absolute best to accommodate requests, answer questions, and respond to concerns/problems; but we can't help if we don't know so please never hesitate to let us know what you need.

However, bass and panfish anglers enjoy good action during the spring and fall months, and ice fishermen avidly pursue the pike resource in winter. Lake Attitash is a 373-acre enlarged great pond located about a mile and a half mile northeast of Merrimac center. Maximum depth is 34 feet; average depth is 10 feet. The bottom is predominantly sand and gravel, and aquatic vegetation is scant except in the inlet and outlet coves

Explore, create, stay a while on the North Shore. The Songwriters Muse is located across from the Pow Wow River in a beautiful quiet neighborhood. Walk to downtown Amesbury. Finally, the third bedroom (aka the kids room!) has a bunk bed and a crib all set up for you! There are full bathrooms on both levels - the downstairs bathroom features a brand-new Toto bidet and a shower, while the upstairs bathroom also features a bidet and a large tiled tub for a long bubble bath at the end of the day.
