- "This is a second-floor apartment, one of three in a large home on a busy thoroughfare. It’s small, but very comfortable, with great beds and a well-stocked kitchen. Downstairs is an open concept -- living room, kitchen and half bath. Upstairs are the two bedrooms. When we arrived, we noticed that there were not enough towels for our five-day stay, and no dish towels provided at all in the kitchen; I called the property management team and they responded quickly and were very friendly. No televisions or ceiling fans in the bedrooms. Great A/C system. Plenty of lovely windows, so great lighting. Two of the windows wouldn't lock, though, and the front door doesn't have an inside lock so anyone with the security code could enter -- but perhaps they change the code after each rental, not sure. Generous with their coat hangers (I've had to ask for them from other VRBO's!). Wonderful bedding and plenty of great blankets supplied. The description says "dryer," but there's actually a wonderful laundry room in the basement of the home with washer, dryer, supplies and a nice folding table. I had to do some remote work during my visit and the home office space was a nice spot for it. The house is in a pleasant residential area that's a short drive to downtown Haverhill and the commuter train to Boston. Easy access to routes 495 and 93. Great restaurants and cute boutiques. The house itself was very comfortable and the fresh eggs from the 5 chickens outback were an extra perk. The house has wide pine floors and features consistent with a pre Revolutionary War home. However, it has modern conveniences like WiFI, air conditioning, washer/dryer and extensive cable TV with Netflix etc. In addition the property has chickens out back (fresh eggs!!) and a beautiful property with vegetable garden. This apartment is well suited for a longer stay and is very comfortable!"

The only downside for us was that it is located above a car wash which is pretty noisy and the neighborhood is pretty rough. That being said, we wanted a cheaper place to stay outside of Boston and this was the perfect compromise. It's right next to the commuter rail and is an easy drive into town. Check out La Grekka coffee shop nearby if you stay here. We loved it! Otherwise not much to see in Lawrence, but the price tag makes this a great spot to stay for a Boston trip!"
