- "Was booked into the Holyoke room for two nights. Lovely to open the window while sleeping and hear the falls. The industrial decor suits the place. Felt the staff I met (Gail, Marsha, Shannon) were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast in their cafe was delicious. My only complaint is the walls are quite thin and I could hear snoring or conversations in the room next door. Would not deter me from staying here again though. Thank you for a great two night getaway!"

- "Really lovely place and organized with check in process! Common areas very welcoming and the breakfast service was friendly and super delicious. Only suggestion was to have a 2nd chair in guest room for 2 people, and a box of tissues handy. Lots of other conveniences were nice though. Coffee was super delicious local roasted! Thank you for nice stay. " - "Loved the beautiful area" - "Wonderful place, staff, and breakfast. I was not aware that my room would not have an attached bathroom (although it was private). Not sure how to determine this ahead of time, as I would rebook here if I had one of the rooms with a bathroom. Thank you for a great stay."

- "I came to spend a couple days with my son who goes to college nearby. It was a cold damp weekend, but the place was warm and cozy. I found the space to be more than enough for me, but had the boys come to visit for one lunch and it was perfect. They enjoyed walking the property to see the horses (we are usually city folks ourselves.) I did not get to meet the hosts, but everything was explained clearly about check-in and I had no issues at all. The bed was very comfortable for me and the shower was excellent. I was exhausted from some difficult travel days and couldn't have been more comfortable in this rental. I would absolutely recommend, especially if you love horses. They were a healthy gorgeous looking stable and one seemed very happy to get a few pats on the head from me. I'd say it's perfect for a couple, or young family with small children. They will be hearing from me again."

My 89 year old mother had her tea each morning in the inviting screened in porch and we all loved gathering and cooking in the good sized kitchen. After looking at crazy hotel prices, the home was actually more affordable for our 3 night stay. Plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms; my husband and I particularly liked the dormer bedroom and bath. - "A great location for our purposes. Well equipped and tastefully decorated. Would recommend! Stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed our stay. " - "The house was cozy and the location was quiet. Our family traveled to Northampton for a wedding and as a bonus surprise we found a great place to hike very close to the house. Fidel was very responsive to all of our questions. " - "My mom and I planned a trip to visit the Eric Carle Museum. The Hadley Hideaway was the perfect location. The area is very pretty, especially with the leaves changing colors. The house is very clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were very kind and responded to any requests immediately. My only issue/caution for future travelers is the house is hard to locate and Waze does not take you to the right address. "

THE nicest short term rental in the Five College area!
Our home is conveniently located 10 minutes away from the UMass Amherst and Amherst College campuses. We have a swing set, tennis court, basketball court, and hot tub in our backyard. Our home would be a great place for a large visiting family to spend time in Western Massachusetts.
There are six bedrooms.. The master bedroom is a suite with a walk-in closet as well as a private bathroom. There are two other full bathrooms on the second floor.
The third floor is a large open space with many toys and games for the kids. We also have a TV viewing area for the whole family to congregate. This is our favorite area of the house.
In the basement we have a brand new exercise room with a treadmill, peloton and free weights.
Graduation season is by far our most inquired about time and perfect for extended family. We are also open to other short-term and long-term rentals.

- "This house was great for a group of classmates back at Amherst for out 40th college reunion. We had a nice dinner on the porch, took advantage of the excellent air conditioning, and enjoyed having comfortable private space. Much better than camping in a dorm room, and enough to attract some infrequent reunion attendees back to the Pioneer Valley." - "Very spacious house with lots of options for activities. Close to Deerfield, Route 9 and area colleges. We really enjoyed our weekend at the house!"

Spacious 35-foot camper w/king bed in a private BR for 1-2 guests. Two recliners are in the living room, and 2 twin size "sleepover mats" are available for use by 1-2 kids, if needed. Full indoor kitchen (stovetop , small oven, fridge, microwave) & outdoor grill. Propane heat & AC. Shower & toilet in a private bathroom. Chromecast TV & Bluetooth sound system. Private pool (available in July & August), picnic table, and fire bowl. Free parking for 1 vehicle.
The camper is on my 3.5 acre plot of land, next to my house. It's not in an RV park--it's the only camper (and the only rental unit) on the property; I rent out the camper when I'm not using it.
Only 8 mins to Amherst & 25 mins to Northampton. Plenty of wildlife & lots of excellent trails (Buffam Falls, Quabbin Reservoir, Lake Wyola, etc). Top-notch stargazing on clear nights. Come get away to the country...
----------
Pelham is a small, rural town. A few relevant notes:
First, I keep honeybees. The apiary is far away from the camper, on the other side of my house, and you shouldn't see any more bees around than you would otherwise. However, if you are allergic to bee stings, please use caution and come prepared with an epi-pen just in case!
Second, the property is rich with wildlife, big and small. Some regular visitors include deer, coyotes, foxes, raccoons, opossums, hawks, bobcats, moose, and black bear. If you're unused to or uncomfortable with the thought of larger wild animals being so close by, please use caution after dark, e.g when walking your dog or back and forth to your car. Use a flashlight, make noise (like singing or playing music on your phone), and remain aware of your surroundings. Also, please be vigilant about leaving any food, pet food, or trash outdoors overnight. Problems between humans and wild animals in this area are extremely rare. Almost all the animals on the property will hide or run If they see a human, and they almost never are seen during daylight.
Third, one of the things I love about the Town of Pelham is that they encourage "dark skies" practices to minimize light pollution. For example, please make sure as many as possible outdoor lights are turned off after dark, and if at all possible, didn't leave on outdoor lights overnight while you're sleeping.
Finally, please know that this is a camper (or RV) and that the property is located approximately 1200 feet above sea level. That means that my property is significantly colder and gets more snow than Amherst and other communities in the area. Propane heat and a hot water heater are included in the camper, not the walls are thin, and water is piped in via an outdoor (although insulated!) hose that can freeze when the temperature drops close to or below 32°F. I do everything I can to make sure everything is up and running whenever possible, but Mother Nature runs the show.
- "We enjoyed being so close to the graduation action at UMass. The camper had everything we needed, including good coffee! The king bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed hearing owls and birds. It all worked and was a nice change from a hotel." - "Had a great time on the property. Very convenient but yet far away enough from the college to enjoy peace and quiet. Kerri Ann was very helpful with whatever we needed. Thank you! " - "We wanted a quiet weekend away, while seeing if purchasing an RV might be something we would want in retirement. This was exactly what we wanted. Kerri was a great host. Very responsive when we had questions. My only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer. I would have liked to explore more of the area…so we may be back!"

Our historic home is a 5 minute walk to the cafes, shops and restaurants in downtown Amherst. Our home is also walking distance (also 5 minutes) to UMASS Amherst and Amherst College. The wrap-around porch is a wonderful place to relax and entertain friends and watch the sunset. There are 6 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a music room, living room, dining room and modern kitchen and kitchen nook, which we use for crafting. There is a working fireplace in the living room. The yard has a colorful perennial garden and is fenced in. The driveway fits several cars. The neighborhood is extremely friendly. The house has a level 2 electric car charger.
- "My family and I stayed for graduation weekend this spring; the house was huge and had plenty of space, beds, towels and linens for all of us, along with any kitchen items we could have thought to need! The neighborhood is so lovely, and its an easy walk into downtown Amherst or little pubs and shops nearby; there's a driveway big enough for several cars, and a dining room that sat all of us very comfortably for meals. On a more personal note, it is clear that this home is full of good memories, and every room feels suffused with love; we kept commenting on how we felt like we were getting to know the full time residents just by seeing all the wonderful character and charm that decorates this house. Would absolutely recommend to anyone with a big group looking for somewhere that feels like a home away from home! "
