- "Clean quiet cabin on an exceptionally clear lake. Great for relaxing, swimming, kayaking and fishing. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys water activities with their family. Nice restaurants and shopping close by." - "This lake cottage was perfect for our family of four for nearly two weeks this summer. By the end of our stay, the house truly felt like home. Jane was a wonderful host who was very responsive. The house itself is older and has some wear, but honestly this adds to its charm (save for a few issues that were promptly addressed). Our family also fell in love with Alexander Lake, and hope to return next summer. The lake is peaceful and wonderful for swimming and kayaking. The house has no AC but we were hardly ever without a wonderful breeze coming off the lake, and rarely got hot. The grill does need some attention- we could only ever get one burner to light which made it a bit hard to cook out. Overall, my only hesitation in writing this review is concern that the house will become harder and harder to book. We already plan on returning next summer. ❤️"

The Bungalow has a chef's dream of a kitchen, with it's soapstone countertop, generous spice selection, coffee bar, small appliance cabinet and griddle/gas range.

The large open space lends itself to enjoying friends and family, all overlooking the tranquil lake. Enjoy a drink on the deck, go for a hike/walk, or have a wonderful day of kayaking and/or paddleboarding. We offer two tandem kayaks, two single kayaks, and a tandem stand or sit paddleboard for your enjoyment. You can paddle for miles in the lake or up the Willimantic River. Keep an eye out for turtles! Bring a fishing pole and bait and reel in a large or small mouthed bass! (Fishing license required )

If fishing and kayaking are not your thing, we have tons of outdoor games. Cornhole, horseshoes, badminton, and volleyball, just to name a few! In addition, there are miles of walking trails starting right down the road.

Coventry is known for its antique shops and restaurants. Once you've shopped 'til you've dropped, head back to The Bungalow to enjoy the firepit. Share a few stories and a few drinks. Once you are ready for bed, you will be sleeping on hotel quality beds and linens.

The kitchen has granite counter tops and center island, a large over-sized refrigerator / freezer. A bonus room on the first floor off the kitchen could be used as an office, den or play room. Our home sleeps 6. The master suite has a walk in closet, master bath and double sinks. A second floor laundry, 2 car garage and pull down attic space. Full unfinished walk out basement. Large 5 acre lot bordering the Natchaug State Forest.

We are nestled in the forest, far from the stress of daily life. The state "Airline Trail" offers 50 miles of hiking, biking and horse riding trails. The Natchtaug State forest borders our property. The Mashamoquet State Park and the Audubon Sanctuary are 4 miles away. You can also drive a short distance to the Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos, Old Sturbridge Village and Mystic Seaport. It is also less than an hour's drive from Hartford, Providence and Worcester and only a 20 mile drive from the University of Connecticut at Storrs. Boston is 90 miles Northeast and New York City 150 miles Southwest. Enjoy long walks in the woods, cross-country skiing, fishing, or just for a place to get away from it all.

Beautiful lake front house. Right on the water! Large deck with amazing view of the lake. Fishing, swimming, boating, and just relaxing on the waterfront. Very peaceful with no gas motors allowed on the lake. Bring the kids! Great kitchen with plenty of table seating for cooking and entertaining! Sleeps 10. 15 minutes from Sturbridge Village Ma, grocery stores, and restaurants. This is a quiet neighborhood so no parties please.

The space
This is not a large space, although I have had people stay for a week or longer and given me great reviews. The farm itself offers plenty of room to stretch out. If you need a larger space please consider the SteamPunk Bunk House.

Other things to note
In order to preserve water and offer a cost saving option I encourage my guests to bring their own sheets and towels. I can provide them for a fee of $20. (How does this save me money??? The alternative is that I include the $20 in the base price.) Please let me know either way. One Queen Size bed two smaller than twin beds.

I rarely carry my phone when I'm on the property, thus calling me is the least effective way of communicating.
