The cottage has a galley kitchen with a stove, oven, toaster, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, blender and dishwasher. There is also a French press coffee carafe. The kitchen is stocked with condiments including coffee, tea, cream, salt, pepper, sugar as well as honey from our bees. The local fox population has relieved us of our chickens so unfortunately you'll need to stop at one of the local roadside stands for fresh eggs until we can replenish the flock. There is a gas and charcoal grill for guests use as well. The galley kitchen includes a bar with stools for dining. The LR has a sofa and several chairs as well as a television that receives NetFlix, Amazon Prime as well as most cable stations including ESPN, HGTV, HBO, NESN, etc. The cottage also has wireless internet access.
A gas fireplace provides heat for the LR. During the summer months we put an Air Conditioning unit in one of the bedroom windows for additional cooling. Every room has a ceiling fan that can be controlled separately from the lighting. A canopy of trees over the cottage helps keep it cooler in the summer, and there are four skylights to add additional natural light.
The sofa folds out into a bed, and there is also a twin bed in the LR that can be used as additional seating. The Bedroom has a Queen bed, dressers and a closet. While there is a small shower stall in the bathroom, there is an outdoor shower stall on the back of our house that guests are welcome to use when the climate is warm enough. (Our house is on the opposite side of the driveway.) It affords excellent water pressure and a view of the farm while washing off sand from a day at the beach or on the road. We also have a washer/dryer in our basement that guests are welcome to use. Access is from an outside door. While we believe the cottage is ideal for one or two adults, or adults with small children, it does sleep four. Four adults might feel cramped unless you are spending most of your time outdoors since the cottage is 800 square feet total. Besides the queen bed the sofa folds into a bed, and there's a twin that serves as additional seating in the LR when not used for sleeping.
Stays of a week or longer will automatically receive a 7.5% reduction in the base rental fee - stays of 30 days receive a 10% reduction.
PETS: Under limited conditions we will host your well-behaved dog - we have free ranging chickens so are not likely to allow larger dogs or breeds bred to hunt. Unless explicitly approved please don't bring a dog - if we do approve your dog there is an additional $50 cleaning fee. We'd also require that your dog is leashed while on the property and that they are not allowed on the furniture or left alone in the cottage unless they are in a kennel. These restrictions are non-negotiable as they are the result of lessons learned the hard way! While we are not cat haters we cannot allow them in the cottage due to potential for future guests with allergies. Fish, birds, children and turtles are welcome if housebroken.

Excellent Easton's Point location, just off Tuckerman Avenue. Charming cottage located on a quiet street walking distance to Easton's Beach, 2nd Beach, numerous restaurants, and Newport's scenic Cliff Walk. Only a short driving distance to downtown Newport, several historic mansions and Bellevue Avenue.

This studio style cottage is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood adjacent to an owner-occupied dwelling. It is ideal for a single person, couple or small family (max. 1 older child) coming to enjoy a lovely, relaxing vacation in the Newport area.

Due to the structural set up of the rental (stairs and loft) and the safety of guests we can only have older children, aged 12 and up traveling with their families.

Rejoice and rejuvenate in this tiny slice of paradise. This recently-constructed cottage (built in 2011) is situated at the end of a private lane, directly on a cove. From the old stone wall in front, it’s literally a stone’s throw to the ocean. To the right of where your stone lands is a rocky shoreline (fishing!), to the left is a pebbly beach (swimming!), and within hiking distance around the points on both sides (beach combing!) are large sandy beaches (sand castles!). A small stream flows into the cove. Less than two miles by road from public beach (South Shore) or hike on shore around the point to a private beach (Briggs).

The cottage has one bedroom, living/dining room, galley kitchen with dishwasher, washer and dryer, one full bathroom (w/ shower), an outside shower, a mostly unfurnished loft that can sleep three, screened porch, and gas grill. We are your neighbors and appreciate reasonably quiet renters.

Come listen to the ocean, admire the stars, walk along the shore, read a novel and feel the wind. The way vacation used to be.

This one bedroom cottage is the perfect retreat for a couple looking for a get-away. Overlooking one acre of rolling hills with signature Block Island stone walls, this delightful cottage offers privacy and the Island's best stargazing.
Located just over a mile to downtown and the beach, it is easy to enjoy all Block Island has to offer. Walking distance to Greenway Hiking Trails as well as New Harbor, the cottage provides a convenient home base for exploring what The Nature Conservancy refers to as "A last great place."
The cottage offers one bedroom with a queen sized bed (with a very comfortable mattress) and a love seat in the living area. **All sheets and towels (plus beach towels) are included. A high-top table is also in the open living area.
There is a full bathroom with a large tiled shower, as well as an attached private hot/cold outdoor shower.

There’s parking too if you need to bring a car, but you absolutely do not need to. It has a spacious living area and a nice full bed in the air-conditioned bedroom. There’s a full kitchen that, unlike a lot of rental houses, has knives that are actually sharp enough to cut things and nonstick pans that aren’t completely ruined. There’s a nice grill for those swordfish steaks you’ll get at Dick’s Fish in New Harbor, and the perfect pots and serving dishes for big batches of clams with white wine and garlic. Eating out on the island can be very expensive, so being able to cook nice meals in a rental is great. It even has carafes for making iced tea and a full set of tupperware for your leftovers. There’s a big yard you can lie down in to look at the stars, and tables for eating outside. Oh and it has THE most essential thing – an outdoor shower.
