- "The host, Gerry, was very responsive and answered all my questions promptly. Really nice guy. The cottage/house was very clean, comfortable and stocked with all of the amenities. The furniture isn’t brand new and has seen some use but is in good shape. It’s located in a safe neighborhood on a street that’s a little hard to find even with GPS because the street sign is hidden. (Landmark for street is that the corner house has a stockade fence with large rocks/small boulders lining the yard.) The street was very quiet. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. The upstairs bedroom has low ceilings and is great for kids but adults need to remember to watch their heads. We appreciated the AC being on for our arrival for the hot weekend and bottles of water & snacks. I would stay there again if in the area."

- "Such a charming home in a very quaint neighborhood with a beautiful ocean view. We felt very comfortable the moment we walked in the door. Once we settled in, we took a walk to the beach and came back to enjoy a glass of wine on the deck. Because the cottage was so close to many areas, we took some day trips to Block Island and Newport. The one thing I must address are the departure requirements. I have no issues with stripping the beds, and setting the towels to the side to be laundered, but I think that being required to vacuum the floors was just a bit too much to expect since we did have a cleaning fee we had to pay. All in all, the property was charming and comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay! Christine was always available to answer any questions we had!"

- "Wow. Just wow. This is a totally renovated, immaculate beach cottage that the owners have done a beautiful job of re-imagining- and stocking. I challenge you to find something you need that is not stored somewhere in this rental. The house is very comfortable (& clean), loved the central AC as it was quite humid during our stay. The guest shed in the backyard has everything you could possibly need for the beach- and the yard (hammocks!!). The porch is sooo relaxing- sitting and rocking in the evening with a drink- and you can even pipe your music out there from the stereo. Seriously, they have thought of EVERYTHING. And the location is fantastic- both the beach and Iggy's (a RI institution) are a stone's throw away. Roll back to a time when a family vacation to the beach brought you all back together. Spend your days relaxing on the sand riding bikes or paddling along Bushneck Cove then Return to a comfortable home to dine in or go out to one of those many local restaurants to enjoy your evening.
The space
The Loft was originally a Hayloft that was built in the late 1800s, in the early nineteen hundreds it was moved to its current location in converted to a summer beach house. Where it has withstood two major hurricanes and many minor ones. The house was closed up in 2004 and remained vacant until we purchased it in 2021. My wife and I fell in love with the character of the home and decided to turn it to a year-round residents updating everything but keeping it's classic and unique Style . We truly hope you love it as much as we do.
Guest access
Guest have complete access to the house yard and amenities. On the front porch of the house there's a wonderful porch swing where you can sit and relax and watch time go by . The house has two floors on the first floor you'll find the main room which contains two couches and a chair also a dining table and a daybed. there are three Alexa's in the house you may unplug them if you choose they have their own network and they do not share access outside of the property and they are strictly For Your Entertainment. There's an electronic fireplace on the wall with a TV mounted over it. be on the dining table there is a fully stocked kitchen with standard sized appliances. Beyond that is the bathroom with a stand up shower and it also contains a washer and dryer. There is a side deck which has a Weber grill a fire pit a conversation sitting area dining table with chairs there is also a shower outside on the back deck.

On the second floor you will find two bedrooms and a 1/2 bath the front bedroom has wonderful views of Buschneck Cove looking up Narragansett Bay and has wonderful Sunset as its west-facing. A California king size adjustable bed with massage will help you sleep at night. off the main bedroom there is a 10 x 12 deck just sit and enjoy your coffee or start work on your tan. There are also two kayaks available for use but you will have to sign a disclaimer before using them. Also we have a few different yard games which people tend to enjoy.
Other things to note
there are 2 cameras on the property. One camera is a ring doorbell. the second camera is is located on the on top of the building covering the driveway and grounds. These cameras are there for security and insurance purposes. Tampering with these cameras is a violation of your rental contract
