This hundred year old home is a 15 minute stroll over a picturesque footbridge, into the heart of the Village. The house has been divided into two single bedroom units, one upstairs, the other downstairs.
I am currently renting the first floor apartment. It has its own entrance through the back door and can accommodate up to four people. The bedroom has a queen size bed and there is a sleeper sofa in the living room. (Please note: Bathroom access for bedroom is through the living room.) The bathroom has a tub with shower. Though there is no dishwasher or laundry service, there is a full kitchen, Smart TV, free WiFi, and access to a spacious yard equipped with table, chairs, and a charcoal grill for outside dining. Window fans and a cross breeze provide ventilation. For comfort on extreme heat days, a window air conditioner has recently been added. On street parking. Property owner lives on site in a cottage behind the house.
The Village hosts great restaurants and shops, Stonington Lighthouse Museum, Library, playground, La Grua Arts and Cultural Center, and CT’s only commercial fishing fleet. Extensive trails for nature walks nearby.
Be sure to visit the Stonington Village Farmer’s Market: Every Sat 9:00 a.m.-noon at the Town Dock from May through the end of Oct. Entering this private location and home, guests have initially commented on the beautiful setting and the peacefulness that comes from stepping onto the property. Our home sits on 4 ½ acres in a private waterfront community named “Osbrook Point” in Stonington Ct. Bordered on 2 sides by preserved woodlands and the Pawcatuck River on another, this year round home sits upon a knoll and the views and property look out down a gentle slope toward the river where one has access to a private dock and float for boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and wonderful views. The view across the river is of Watch Hill. Boaters will have direct access to open waters for fishing, boating or beaching at local beaches or at “Sandy Point”, a small island which is also a nature preserve. The boat dock is suitable for a boat up to 26 feet. There is fresh water and electricity at the dock.

Our home sleeps ten guests with four bedrooms and two full baths. Three of the bedrooms have queen beds, one with a pair of twin beds and a pull out couch in the living room. There is a laundry room and pantry for your convenience. It is an open concept home with water views from most rooms, a large deck for relaxing and barbecuing and a large yard to entertain and enjoy friends and family in a safe and secluded neighborhood. While it is in an ideal location for entertaining, this is not a party house.

The home's location allows renters to enjoy a natural setting with wildlife and the river with views to Weekapaug and Watch Hill. It is close to historic Stonington Borough, Mystic with it's Seaport and Aquarium, Napatree and Misquamicut Beaches and Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos and local wineries. The property is feet from the water, well back from the street, and inside a fenced compound with off street parking for 4 cars. The interior has a mid-century design and open floor plan with bright sunny rooms. There is a king master suite on the second floor and a queen Murphy bed in the first floor studio. There are no steps to the first floor bed and there is full bath adjacent, making it a good space for guests with mobility challenges. All white linens are professionally laundered, including fresh duvets. The floors are all hard surface with beach vacation in mind. Enjoy the three season dining area with grill just outside. The second floor deck is simply massive. There is a cozy first floor deck with cafe seating that faces the sunrise. Adirondack chairs and fire pit are set by the water.

- "We could not have asked for a better long weekend at the shore! Louis was a fantastic host - providing a ton of great information proactively, was super responsive to any questions (we only had one!), and provided a really enjoyable experience overall. The home had everything we could have asked for - including different size pet beds to choose from! - and even included little touches that made the difference (lots of coffee pods for us coffee drinkers, amenities in the bathrooms, plastic containers for food, etc.). The house was comfortable and roomy, and having a fully fenced in yard for our dog to roam was a huge plus! My four year old especially enjoyed the karaoke machine! - "This was a great place to rest our head for the night. We stopped here on our way home from Acadia National Park, and it was just what we needed after many days of hiking. The beds were super comfy and there were fans in each room. Bathrooms were spotless with plenty of clean white fluffy towels. The host even put a high chair in the home after she saw we were traveling with a toddler. The wrap around couch fit 4 adults comfortably. She even left us a hand written note and gift card for breakfast! 10 minutes from Mystic Aquarium and so close to the historic downtown. This was a fantastic stay and I will gladly stay here again if I am ever in the area in the future."

Saltmarsh Ledge is a 12 acre estate with water access.It's beautiful 3 bedroom home sits on a meadow on the edge of the woods, overlooking gorgeous saltmarshes and Long Island Sound. Saltmarsh Ledgefeels like a secluded hideaway but is just minutes away from Stonington Village, one of Connecticut’s most charming towns. Our family property also includes access to Walker's Dock, a lovely marina where you can launch your own boat, take out our kayak or arrange a fishing charter. The property includes privatewoodland and meadowpaths with beautiful views.
The downstairs is a light-filled open floor plan with a living room fireplace. The large kitchen has a center island and is fully equipped for gourmet cooking and leads into a dining room that offers stunning nature views with Watch Hill in the distance. The house includes two workspaces (a study/TV room) and a desk area. Enjoy a huge master suite with beautiful wildlife views. Full disclosure, there is a train that passes a short distance away, beyond the meadow and the marsh, and you will hear the whistles. Some people (kids especially!) love this. Some might find it bothersome.
The property is a short walk from, Walkers Dock, a small marina owned by our family. During the spring and summer you can make special arrangements to charter a fishing trip or even bring your own boat. There are ten acres of land, including woods, meadow and saltmarsh, a dog walkers and bird watchers paradise.
The host will be available by phone and text. There is also a caretaker who lives nearby who can help should any issues arise.
In addition to nearby DuBoise Beach on Stonington Point, Saltmarsh Ledgeis about 20 minutes drive to Watch Hill and Westerly Rhode Island beaches and close to numerous other attractions, including Barn Island, Saltwater Farm Vineyard, and the Velvet Mill, an eclectic repurposed factory filled with artist studios, shops, wellness practitioners and maker space.
We have parking for 3 or more cars, Saltmarsh Ledge is just on the edge of Stonington Village, which is easy to access by foot and bike along with driving. It's about 15 minutes away by car from shopping and restaurants in both Mystic Connecticut and Westerly Rhode Island. It's only about 10 minutes from I-95.

- "Very good" - "We enjoyed our stay here! We had 5 adults and 4 dogs with plenty of space to spare. It can be challenging to find properties that allow 4 dogs but Natalie was enthusiastic about hosting us and made sure to make us (and our pups) feel at home. She had great communication and suggestions for how to spend our time. As noted in the listing- a train runs often right behind the property but you get used to it. The property is private/secluded but close to town, beautiful, and spacious. There’s a lot to do and explore on the property (hiking, paddle boarding, watching the sunrise) and off in surrounding cities such as Stonington and Mystic. The home was clean, well stocked, and the perfect size. Highly recommend!"

Great kitchen and dining room for eating in when eating out every meal gets old. The property is just a couple blocks from restaurants, shops, bakeries and the train station in pedestrian friendly Westerly. It’s also super accessible to beaches and the beautiful Watch Hill. Jamestown, Newport and Providence are also an easy drive from the property. We highly recommend and look forward to staying at this property again."

Our home is located on a private Cul de Sac. There are two spacious bedrooms (on the second floor) a large kitchen (fully stocked) with breakfast counter (suitable as workspace), a spacious living room and a gathering room for children, with television and games. There is a half bath downstairs and a full bath with tub and shower upstairs.

This home is just minutes from historic downtown Westerly, where you will find many fine restaurants and shopping. Don’t forget nearby Foxwoods Casino, Great Wolf Lodge or Tanger Outlets for some evening or rainy day fun!
If you enjoy Golf, we have the Elmridge Golf Course in Pawcatuck or Pequot Golf Club in Stonington. We are located 30 minutes from Providence, less than one hour from Newport!

Weekly farmers market will supply fresh produce and abundance of fresh seafood is sold locally for a delicious home cooked meal. Velvet Mill offers art galleries, bakery, yoga studio, restaurants and brewery and it is definitely worth visiting. And for the wine lovers there are beautiful vineyards near by offering wine tasting and music. Saltwater farm vineyard is a must visit!

The house is still exactly as portrayed in the photos and description. We found the property to be very clean with comfortable beds and high-quality linens. There is a large screen, smart TV in the larger bedroom on a rolling stand which can be easily moved into the living room. The TV is equipped with Roku. Internet speed is good. The showers had a nice strong stream and there was plenty of hot water. The kitchen had modern appliances and was exceptionally well equipped. As an added bonus, there is tasteful art displayed throughout the house. We used the house as a base for travelling to wildlife refuges. There are three refuges within 15 minutes of the house and one that is about 25 minutes. The beaches are 5 minutes away as is the Watch Hill Historic District. The house is in a residential neighborhood which was very quiet except for some traffic sounds from Winnapaug Rd and the occasional private airplanes from the nearby airport, neither of which bothered us. Best to use the driveway on the Knollwood Drive side of the house as the driveway from Winnapaug is REALLY steep. Andrea and Tom were very gracious hosts and responsive to our texts. Andrea was kind enough to arrange an early check-in for us. We would definitely stay at this property again and would recommend it to our friends."
