The Main Level is all paned windows on the water. The entire floor is open starting at the Kitchen & four-stooled Breakfast Bar w/ granite counters, high-end appliances and custom cabinetry that contains pots (lobster and otherwise), pans, 2 regular coffee pots w/ filters & 1 Keurig, large bowls, flatware, 2 sets of dinnerware & glassware, gadgets, spice carousel, grill spices, plastic wrap, aluminum foil, ziploc bags, grill accessories, etc.

The Living Room has a queen-size fold-out bed in the couch, a fireplace, TV with premium channels, powder room and a screen porch w/ a single sleeper sofa, matching rocker and over-sized cushioned chair for those who like indoor/outdoor living overlooking Ninigret Pond. It is often the guests’ favorite room.

The Dining Room seats seven comfortably, TV. The Front Deck has a Weber Genesis Grill and a Smith & Hawken umbrella table w/ four chairs for outdoor dining. The grill, table & chairs are unavailable & stored once freezing temps arrive. The Side Deck has additional seating for viewing the awesome Ocean sunrises & Ninigret Pond sunsets.

Upstairs, the Master Suite has a queen-size bed and its own sunning deck w/ lounges (stored in cold weather) overlooking Ninigret Pond, TV, bay window desk, power shades, and full bath w/ glass shower overlooking the Ocean and Breachway beach.

Outside, there is a private gated-entry to the beach, driveway parking for 4 regular-sized cars, and a whole house auto/on Generac generator. In snowy weather, roads are usually plowed but snow removal is not available at the beach house. A snow shovel is.

The beach pass is good for two excellent beaches, Charlestown and Blue Shutters. We launched our canoe and kayak easily at the boat launch a few minutes' walk from the house. That made it easy to access Elbow Beach which offers wading pool like conditions suitable for small children. Jim, the host, was helpful and responsive, and everyone in the neighborhood was very friendly."

- "I rented this cottage on Allen Cove during my first visit to Charlestown Beach where I was meeting extended family. I was traveling with my 14 year old son, my 14 year old nephew and my 10 year old daughter. I rented a small boat from Ocean House Marina for the week so my son and nephew could have some freedom to explore the area. The views are really calming and we enjoyed many hours sitting in the yard under the tree looking out onto the water. The 1930’s cottage is very rustic and basic but has what I needed and enough charm that I didn’t miss being in an updated property. The house had been VERY thoroughly cleaned on arrival. It has updated windows, an outdoor shower, good water pressure inside and a huge back deck with an oversized table. We didn’t grill or eat here but it would be perfect for a large gathering of guests joining you for the day or evening. Owner Julie was accommodating with questions and/or needs. I was coming from Florida by plane so I used Vacation House Linen & Towel Rentals for our sheets, pillowcases, bath towels and beach equipment and they were excellent to work with. I have a child with allergies and usually travel with giant ziplock bags to place down feather pillows and comforters inside during our hotel or home stays. There were feather pillows there during my stay, but I just set them all aside. I did a day trip to the Newport Mansions and also visited the Umbrella Factory and loved both of those excursions. We ate at The Cove one night and got take out from Charlestown Famous Pizza and those were good."

It offers two bedrooms; one with a queen and the other has bunk beds with a full on the bottom and a twin on top. Fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar and an open floor to the living area which has glass French doors leading onto a deck. The deck offers a picnic table and a grill. Perfect for enjoying the spectacular views and beautiful evening sunsets. From the deck, there are views of 'Quonnie Pond' where clamming is permitted; Weekapaug, Misquamicut, Watch Hill, Block Island and Montauk Point. Glorious!!

A boat slip is available for rent which can accommodate up to a 30' boat and there is great fishing right off our dock with plenty of fish to be caught. With just a short walk along the breach-way there are beautiful white sandy beaches for one to enjoy. There is an outdoor shower and a washer\dryer for your convenience. This vacation getaway is situated on a quiet private road perfect for families with children. There is also adequate off-street parking.

The Air Conditioned house is a Chalet Style and sleeps 6 comfortably. The Main living area is on the second floor. The gradual stairs will take you to a covered porch . There are two bedrooms with a queen and two twins. Television in Living area and Full kitchen combined Dining area. A full bath with shower. The upstairs loft has two twin beds. The stairs to the loft are a bit steep as in Chalet houses. Using the back deck stairs, one can get to the first level which has only a casual sitting room and bathroom with a sink and toilet to use.. (There are no interior stairs from the upper level to the lower level. This house is actually a two family.) Great Restaurants in South County RI. Fire Pit and Grill. Thank You for considering.
