In this beautiful coastal town of Charlestown, Rhode Island, experience life in our lovely SEASIDE 6-bedroom, 3 bathroom cottage! Perfect for family gatherings, with a 4 bedroom main cottage, and an attached 2 bedroom guest cottage. Seaside is available by the week, Saturday to Saturday during the SUMMER (June through the first week of September.) For the Summer season, we only rent the entire 6 bedroom together. It is available on off season booking for four days or more. It is available to be rented as the main cottage OR guest during the OFF season.

Plan your day ......a walk over the dunes for an early morning dip , relaxing on the deck with a book, driving just a couple of minutes to the Deli on the corner of Charlestown beach Rd where there are great sandwiches, wonderful croissants for breakfast and ice cream cones. Close enough so you can just grab, and eliminate the cooking! Return to the cottage, to enjoy a relaxing lunch, on the deck, or take it to the beach! More swimming and beach games for the afternoon and then it is outside shower time. There are foot buckets at the bottom of the stairs which are a extremely helpful to keep the sand off of the wood floors. Drinks, dinner, and relaxing on the deck is a grreat way to finish off the day with a beautiful view of the ocean and sunset.

The grill is below on the patio where there are chairs and a table to sit and get out of the sun.

In the cottage, you'll find a fully stocked kitchen with a stove, oven, refrigerator, grill, microwave, lobster pot, coffee maker, kettle, blender, kitchen island, toaster, and all the dishes and utensils you need to whip up delicious meals. Relax in the living room or on the deck, to take in the ocean views. Just a few steps and you are on the beach for the little ones to create sandcastles! With 3 bathrooms, towels, basic soaps, a hair dryer, an iron and board, and linens, you'll have all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Unwind on the deck, looking out to Block Island. or enjoy the outdoor furniture as you soak in the stunning natural surroundings.
We are just steps away from a boat rental, where you can explore the inner waters of the ocean. There is a little snack and drink shop which is fun for the older children to walk to for independent time. There is fishing from the breachway or bridge and miles of beach to stroll along on a sunny day or moonlit night.

The main cottage has 6 bedrooms. Two large rooms upstairs with a bath, and a bunk room and double on the main floor, with a bath. There are two sitting areas. T.V. area or view of the ocean area. Lots of widows, and almost every one looks out to the ocean!

The guest cottage has 2 bedrooms. A queen bedroom and a bunk room. There is also a complete kitchen, bathroom, dining area and living room. There is a deck that connects to the main cottage deck. Wonderful sunsets fill the cottage in the late afternoon

The patio below has chairs, table and a grill. There is also an outside shower for rinsing off the beach day sand. There is a clothesline there to hang your wet items, to be dry for the next beach day.

We have water delivered twice a week. This is more than sufficient if you are cautious with your usage. If you do run out the well will kick in, and supply water for you. It is very clean, but with a salty taste. We are on the ocean!!! A wonderful little treat!!! If you would like to have additional water brought in, there is an additional charge of $150.00. Conservative us of water is requested. Seems the long outside showers seem to be the weak spot! Who does not want a nice outside shower, after a day at the beach.

The ocean offers a continual breeze for all to enjoy. There are fans throughout the cottage, to assist if needed. The breeze often builds into a stronger wind, and it is necessary to put umbrellas down and be careful of the doors, as it will grab anything in its path. It is suggested that children use the sliders, to avoid the pull of the wind, which could be too strong for a little one.

FOOT BUCKETS are what saves our wood floors. We have wood floors, throughout, except for the kitchen and bath, which are slate. If you rinse before going up the stairs, your feet will be dry and clean by the time you reach the top!

Quaint summer cottage with access to both Ninigret Pond and the Atlantic Ocean at QEBA beach (Beach pass included). The " Tree House" cottage is located between US-1 and East Beach on the east side of East Beach Road in Quonochontaug, Rhode Island. Cottage has a unique upstairs living room that opens up into the branches of an adjacent large Maple tree. Hence the name "Tree House". Kayaks are available for use in the salt water pond or bring your own kayak or paddle board. Cottage was built in the early 1900's kitchen and bath have been beautifully updated. Upstairs remains authentic, original wainscoting walls and tongue and grooved ceiling. Delightful covered outdoor patio, perfect for relaxing, watching the birds and grilling out. We have kayaks on the property which can be used in the salt water pond, just a short walk down the path. This is also is a great area to bicycle around if you choose to bring your bikes.

Booking Information:
One-week minimum booking with Friday turnovers preferred in June, July, and August. For September, October, November, May, and the first half of June, there is a four-night minimum, and a three-night minimum applies from December through April.

Please note, the property is equipped with exterior surveillance cameras for security.
Also, if you plan to bring a boat, it must be approved by the owner prior to arrival. Guests will be required to provide proof of insurance, and approval is not guaranteed. Acceptance will depend on factors such as the size, type, and draft of the vessel. Please inquire in advance with details about your boat so we can confirm whether accommodations can be made.

From May-October, owners keep their boat on one side of the dock, the other side is kept for guests use. Owners may access their boat during the rental period, via right of way on property line, but will not be utilizing shed or any property amenities. Guests have four parking spots, and owner has one spot that will be delineated. The dock is raised during the winter months and cannot be walked on until it is lowered in the spring.

Rose cottage. Adorable vintage beach cottage 3/4 mile from Charlestown Beach. Need more space? There is a second one bedroom cottage also on the property. (See 9 Richard st. Bud Cottage) Cottage short distance to beach, kayaking ponds, clamming. Produce market, ice cream stand and bakery at other end of road. Outdoor gas grill with table umbrella and seating for 6.
Fabulous outdoor shower. Large lawn.

- "The oven and fridge are newer; there is no microwave. Couches and chairs were pretty comfortable. The only 3-prong plugs are in the bedrooms, so no laptop charging in the family room or enclosed porch. Not pictured on the site is the water heater in the room with the twin beds (maybe enclose it?). Showerhead is at nose-height (I'm 5'9"), and toilet rocks upon sitting. I used the roomy outside shower, which I love anyway! Not sure if the cleaning people missed it, but there was half-eaten ice cream left in the freezer and other foods, some opened and covered only in tin foil, in the fridge from previous tenants. Outdoor gas grill in good condition, works fine; used it twice for burgers. Box springs and queen bedframes showed their age, mattresses were okay. One house key for one locking door. Other one locks with a latch from the inside. Not sure I felt entirely safe with old wooden doors that barely lock. We made the best of it, spent the days at the beach (great waves!) and had a couple of fun family game nights! 15-minute walk to the beach, no tags or passes needed. Owner was very polite and responsive to questions (although the OCD in me wished everything discussed in separate emails were things that should have been covered in one email from the beginning). Rent is overpriced for what this cottage offers. Hope the owner takes a summer's worth of rent and makes some improvements; would potentially return if that happens."

The space
There are three sleeping areas. Two bedrooms are on the main floor (one with a queen bed and the other with a full bed). The third sleeping area is on the lower level with one full bed.

TheThe main floor includes 2 bedrooms, one full bath with shower, living room, dining area and kitchen. The kitchen is compact but fully equipped with the items you need to make meals a pleasure, with microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and plenty of cookware, utensils and dishes on hand. To enjoy a cool respite and privacy from the main floor, take the spiral staircase to the lower level where you’ll find additional space featuring a sitting area, desk and office chair and sleeping area (1 full bed) and access to the yard. The laundry with washer & dryer are also located on this level. Pillows, blankets, mattress and pillow protectors and bath mat are provided. Tenants need to bring their own sheets and towels and personal care items. Sheets and towels can be ordered for an additional fee as an extra option prior to arrival. A starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper and some spices are also provided along with cleaning supplies for your use during your stay.

Other things to note
On the back deck, a propane grill, patio table, chairs and umbrella makes outdoor dining a breeze. Since unexpected gusty winds are rather common, the umbrella should always be closed when not in use & when leaving the cottage.

As members of the Charlestown by the Sea Association, we are able to offer parking privileges at the association’s parking lot adjacent to Charlestown Town Beach. Parking is on a first come first served basis. We provide a parking pass and key for access. You’ll need to place the parking pass in your windshield and ALWAYS bring the key for entry & exit. The key & pass must be returned to the cottage at the end of your stay.

Trash and recyclables are collected on Fridays. Tenants are responsible for putting their trash and recyclables in the designated outdoor bins (stored under the back deck) and placing the bins by the curb the evening before pickup and bringing the emptied bins back in.

The outdoor shower, with hot and cold water, is located on the south side of the house. While it is not enclosed, it does offer a place to refresh and wash off the beach sand to help keep the cottage as sand-free as possible.

Our newly renovated Starfish Cottage is a hidden gem tucked away in a quiet beach community in Charlestown, RI. The space
Our newly renovated cottage has 3 bedrooms & 2 full bathrooms to comfortably sleep and accommodate 8 individuals. We provide full bedding as well as bath towels for your usage. In addition, seasonal beach towels will be provided!

The first floor is an open concept dining room, kitchen, and living room, and includes a bedroom with a queen bed & a full bathroom. The kitchen comes with all the cooking utensils you would need!

The second floor offers two bedrooms, one with a queen bed & one with a queen bed as well as a twin trundle bed & a full bathroom inclusive of a bathtub.

The basement provides you with a full laundry room as well as beach games, beach umbrellas, coolers and beach chairs for your usage.

The backyard oasis has a brand-new deck, fully equipped patio with grill, outdoor shower & fire pit. Please note, the patio furniture will be out & available seasonally between the months of May through October.

During in seasonal months of June through August, we will include a beach parking pass to park at the Shelter Cove Marina which provides you easy access to the Charlestown Town Beach.

The space
Take advantage of our enclosed outdoor shower to get refreshed while keeping the indoors sand-free after a enjoying a day of playing in sand and surf.
For evening meals together with family and friends, you'll find the kitchen well equipped with utensils, cooking and baking pots & pans and microwavable bowls, including a lobster pot in addition to convenient outdoor cooking with a gas grill on the deck. You'll also find a generous starter supply of basic spices to help in meal preparation.

Other things to note
Guests need to bring their own sheets and towels. We provide pillows, pillow protectors, mattress protectors, comforters and blankets as well as bath mats and dish towels.
We have a wonderful well and septic system. As long as guests use it reasonably, there is plenty of water for normal use. Just as a precaution, before leaving the house please make sure faucets are off, not dripping and toilets are not running to avoid any problems. Please let us know if anything is not working as it should.

Charlestown Cottage by the Sea is a Three Bedroom Cottage Located Central to a plethora of Beaches and Summer Activities. Weekly rental from Sunday to Sunday. Charlestown Cottage is a single family home located on the south side of RT-1 and walking distance to Ninigret Pond. The home is located on a large 1 acre lot and entirely dedicated to summer guests. The summer rental includes a beach pass which can be used at the Town beach and Blue Shutters beach. Enjoy the free use of kayaks and/or standup paddle boards to enrich your vacation. Free firewood is also provided for those that like to enjoy a quiet backyard evening. This is a great location for beach goers.

The space
The house is furnished, has a washer/dryer, 2 smart TVs with Netflix & Disney, as well as a full kitchen with glasses, mugs, bowls, plates, cookware, knives and cutlery. We also have a small collection of books and board games for your enjoyment. Outside is a large courtyard patio with fireplace and outdoor grill. Owner lives next door.

Across the street is Quonochontaug Pond, a four mile saltwater pond. On the other side of the pond is a three-mile stretch of private beach ( accessible by either boat or car ). A deep-water breachway allows boaters access to the Atlantic. From there you can set your sites toward Block Island, Montauk, Watch Hill, Mystic or Newport. Each destination is only a day’s journey.

During your stay you may decide to take a leisurely stroll along the nearby hiking trails, go for a bike ride along the coastline, or just run down for a dip at the neighborhood swimming dock. There are plenty of golf courses in the surrounding area, and if you’d like to hit the courts, both private tennis and a basketball hoop are less than a mile away.

We are located on the eastern side of Westerly, a delightful downtown filled with fantastic restaurants and exquisite shops. if you wish to explore more, we are halfway between Mystic and Newport and just minutes away from Foxwoods Resorts and Mohegan Casino.

The space

The cottage is on pilings so it sits high above the beach. It has a front porch with a barbecue and table with umbrella for dining outside. The front yard is beach grass and sand with a path leading to the ocean. There is a narrow internal staircase and a wide external staircase with a landing (better for unloading car).

Other things to note
There is a mini-split unit that provides cooling in the summer and heating in the winter. When in use, keep windows and doors closed. There is also electric baseboard heating in bedrooms and loft. It is always cooler by the ocean than in town (even in summer), so pack a sweater or light jacket. There is a Keurig coffee machine in kitchen, so please bring your own pods. We have an 8 cup Cuisinart coffee maker if you prefer to brew a pot of coffee. There's also an Instant Pot in the twin bedroom closet. We have a mini-prep to assist with chopping onions and garlic and a waffle maker for breakfast people. We recommend bottled drinking water as the water is from a cistern though perfectly safe for brushing teeth/washing dishes etc or boiling for tea. Best to get the Poland Springs five gallon bottles with the pour spout available at Stop n Shop in Westerly or Walmart and just leave it on the sideboard under the tv. Spare gas tank for BBQ available in case first tank runs out. Just let me know if you have to change it and I will arrange to refill or reimburse you to have it topped up. Please note there are security cameras under the house to monitor driveway and beach path to prevent trespassing. Early/late checkout is available where we can accommodate. There are cotton pads and eye makeup remover in medicine cabinet as well as grey washcloths in the bathroom for removing eye makeup. Dirty BBQ fee ($75). Pet fee is $30/animal/day for 2025 going to $40 in 2026. If your pets sleep on the bed with you or climb on furniture, please bring sheets to cover the bedspreads/blankets/couches. Fee for excessive fur on blankets is $50. Beach has a strong undertow and occasional rip currents so best to observe the waves before venturing in for a swim or walk down to public beach for a swim where a lifeguard is on duty during the the days in the high season. When walking dogs off the leash on the beach, please heel your dog if you see a leashed dog coming towards you, and remember to always clean up after your animal. Great cottage, quiet neighborhood, three blocks from Ninigret Pond. 1 1/2 miles from Charlestown Beach. Includes Beach Pass to Charlestown and Blue Shutter Beaches. The space
All rooms are air-conditioned. Bedrooms are on the first floor with one full bath and tub. Living area is upstairs with half bath with washer dryer.

Other things to note
Guests are responsible for the cottage beach pass. The beach pass allows one car to go to either Charlestown beach or Blue-Shutter Beach. If the pass is lost or stolen the guest is responsible for the replacement cost of $450.00.

The house has just been fully renovated inside with clean uncluttered spaces with large living floor deck with 2 additional decks on the upper level off each of the bedrooms. Wonderful adult or family vacation getaway.

The space
This is our family's happy place and we try to share that experience. It is a living home and we leave it like that (this is not a sterile empty rental property). The private beach is uniquely placed between the state and the public beach so away from the crowds. The beach in front of the house is private and for exclusive use of our home.
We have done extensive upgrades with new beach front sliding doors, upstairs half bathroom, upper level beach side deck, outdoor mahogany shower and new upper level flooring. New kitchen on the ground floor with views to beach front and side of the house.
Barbecue (blackstone grill) on the ground floor deck, loungers on both lower and upper decks and small round exterior table on the front upper deck for romantic sunset drinks/dinner for 2 people.
Excellent reliable wifi for working from home (Cox 150Mbps). I set up one of the small round deck table in either of the bedrooms and have an instant home office.
We have just winterized the house so hope to be able to offer a beach experience way beyond the normal beach rental season. If you do not see availability during off season drop us a note - it may be available although are spending as much time as we can there to enjoy the renovations!
For any guests that has a severe dog allergy - please be aware we do have pets and while we do everything we possibly can to remove all traces of the dog, this property may not be suitable for anyone with a severe allergy.

As this is a true beach cottage, water is limited and so there is no laundry. Please bring bed linens and towels (pillows, blankets are of course provided). We can also share details for linen rental through our local rental agency if this helps.
