Perfect Sunsets any time of year —this magical two-bedroom waterfront cottage on bucolic Fort Pond is as close as it gets to perfection. Every room looks out upon the most beautiful waterfront and sunset vistas all year. A designer's home is beautifully decorated with mid-century modern furniture and spectacular landscaping, enhancing the privacy felt on this gem of a property. It features a large living area with ribbon remote control gas fireplace, a dining table, a state-of-the-art kitchen, sofa and a bathroom with a large glass-enclosed rain head shower with access to the outdoor shower from the inside. Ideal for couples, singles, or small families (dogs accepted with a $250 fee, and crated when left alone). Maximum sleeping capacity 4 people. (The sofa should not used for overnight guests and the backs do not go down). The cottage has plenty of outdoor furniture, a table for 8, a gas Weber grill, and stairs to the water—perfect for standup paddleboards or kayaking. A short walk to town (5 minutes), the best restaurants, the Jitney, and beaches

The cottage comes with linens, towels, beach towels, a fully equipped kitchen, and many beautiful pieces of vintage table settings and glassware for entertaining. (2) standup paddleboards, (2) Kayaks, and (2) bikes. You will be asked to sign a waiver for the use of the equipment.

The cottage is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between each guest. All surfaces are disinfected with Clorox. All white linens are washed in warm water with bleach. All throw pillows and throws are washable and are cleaned between each guest.

$250 per week for cleaning and garbage removal. Excessive garbage will be an additional $75.
$250 Pet Fee per dog, maximum 2 dogs.

It's a short distance to town (you can walk) and is near some of the best restaurants. It's tastefully decorated with TV and WiFi. Ideal for couples or small families. There is outdoor furniture, a table for 6, and a gas grill. This is directly across the street from the ocean. This cottage is on a hill, so you have great 180 degree ocean views and can hear the water from the deck.

7 night rental week begins Friday at 4 pm and ends Friday at 11:00 am. 3-6 night rental must end on a Friday or Monday. There are no early check-in or late check-out times unless the manager can accommodate them.

Pet fee $250 per dog per week. Only small to medium size dogs. No cats or other animals.

Super Cute 2 bedroom cottage that overlooks a nature preserve sleeps 4. It's Just 3 short blocks to the iconic Ditch Plains beach. Features a new modern kitchen that spills out to the front and rear decks and back yard where you can enjoy cooking on a new weber grill and lounge on the outdoor furniture. The deck also has an outdoor shower. Each bedroom features a queen bed (one bed being a tempurpedic) with Egyptian cotton sheets and down pillows. Both bedroom come with ample closet space. There is a Bose bluetooth sound system, Wifi, Cable and Apple TV. Four bicycles are provided for easy cruising to the beach or to town. Beach chairs, beach umbrella and beach wagon are included.

A security camera is located at the driveway entrance for your safety and security.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations permitted with a 10% fee plus the amount of any revenue shortfall from a successful re-renting. We strongly encourage renter to purchase travelers insurance as a means of payment protection.

- "great" - "We had a great week in Montauk. This little house is perfect - its adorable, has everything you need, in a great location, and most importantly it was very clean. Plus, it is pet friendly. Its really hard to find pet friendly rentals that check all those other boxes too! The host was very responsive to messages. I really appreciated the welcome letter with lots of great suggestions, which we referred to often. They have chairs, umbrellas, bikes, boogie boards, everything you need to enjoy the beach. I always appreciate not having to pack linens, so the fact that there were sheets, towels, and beach towels was amazing. I would absolutely rent this property again. We hope to come back soon to experience the off season - it was very crowded the week we were there, with long wait times at most restaurants almost every night. Plan accordingly! I would just point out to fellow dog owners, the yard is not entirely fenced in. It's mostly fenced, but there are points of egress alongside the house and a small dog can easily go underneath in certain places. There's also lots of wildlife to chase, so we ended up leashing our dog in the yard to be on the safe side. This was not a big deal although it was a little bit of a bummer. 10/10, would rent again!"

Our cozy two-bedroom one bath cottage is perfect for a family, or can accommodate up to six people very comfortably. It has central heat and air conditioning, with hardwood floors. You will love the closeness of the ocean and the Lake in downtown Montauk. No need for a car. Close to all services that Montauk provides for it's guests. Parking in front for three cars, and a huge backyard for throwing the perfect outdoor party. Just bring your bathing suits and sandals and you will fit right in. We also have an outdoor shower experience, gas barbecue, and fire pit in the backyard for relaxation under the stars!

Lobster cobb salad & market fish are menu highlights (they had a branzino last time I was there and it was TDF) No reservations - on weekends, get there around 5 and expect a wait for large parties unless you want to just do cold seafood inside at the bar (oysters, shrimp, etc.). Grab some rose and wait for your table on the dock. Weekday evenings and lunch are usually a bit slower but the place is generally always busy.

Scarpetta Beach:
Same as Scarpetta in NYC, traditional Italian food, inside Gurney's hotel.

Crows Nest:
Super chic restaurant at a boutique hotel, one of my favorite places. Mostly Mediterranean inspired, simple menu. No reservations - like Duryeas, on weekends, get there between 5-6 and expect a wait for large parties. They usually cut the waiting list off at a certain point (have waited upwards of 2 hours for dinner here before). Weekday evenings should be more low-key but the closer to the weekend you are the more likely there will be a long wait.
They have a cute bar down the hill in the bag with a small beach and cabanas set up. Go down and have a drink while you wait for your table and watch the sunset (spicy tequila or watermelon drinks are my favorites).

Surf Lodge:
The quintessential Montauk hotspot. Food is ok, this is more of a place to go to be part of the "scene."
On the weekends this turns into a full-on club - insanely difficult doorman, bottle service, outside DJ (until ~9), sweaty inside bar. Sometimes they have live music on Saturday / Sundays for sunset hours.

Montauket:
BEST SUNSET IN MONTAUK. Very casual spot with a divey inside bar and picnic tables outside.

Gosman's:
Casual seafood spot with a bar - a traditional Montauk staple (not scenery).
No reservations, so again, expect a wait unless you show up early or during the week.

Navy Beach:
Beach front, nautical vibe with lots of white and blue. Food is okay but it's another one of those places sceny NYC people tend to talk about.
I think they take reservations.

Showfish:
Seafood restaurant at the other Gurney's property on Star Island. Food is pretty good, traditional. Not really a scene.

Round Swamp Farm:

If you want to have a splurge day, rent a cabana or seating area for an afternoon. Sometimes they have a DJ playing on the weekends. Full-service world-class spa on the property.

Ditch Plains Beach:
The Most popular beach for surfing and swimming. Scenic, sort of has a coastal California feel.

Kirk Park Beach:
Closest to town, family-oriented

Hither Hills:
Trails and campgrounds

Montauk Point / Camp Hero:
Scenic lighthouse at the end of the road / gift shop with some trails around. Be careful hiking there are tons of ticks.

SHOPS

Shops in town are mostly of the beachy variety (think Jersey shore hoodies and sweats kind of stuff). In the last ~5 years they've opened a bunch more stores but mostly womenswear.

Whalebone / Adam Mar has some men's stuff I think and there is this new super hip store called wyld blue that is fun to browse.
Some places in town offer surf lessons or paddle board / kayak rentals (you might also be able to book a reservation through Gurney's)

Deep Hollow Ranch - horse back riding, etc. - never been here but just saw some brand do an influencer activation and it looked cute.

68 Madison is a 5 min. walk to the beach. The private beach in Hither Hills is know as one of Montauks finest. Town is about 1 mile away too. There is a resturaunt within walking distance. The house is located on a corner lot and is very private due to the hedges. There are three large sceen TV's in the house and a well appointed kitchen. The washer and dryer are in the basement. Herb garden, Tomatoes and squash will be ready for harvest!
There is a 7 day minimum and booking start on Saturdays

Adorable one bedroom cottage that has been totally renovated. Located in a small community located on 2 acres of scenic property on lake . A short stroll down to the lake where you can fish ,clam ,swim and kayak .Deck with table chairs and umbrella with views of the lake. Cottage has air conditioner,full kitchen with plates,utensils,pots sheets and towels .one queen and bunk beds,and option of pull out couch in living sleep up to 4 .can bike to gin or ditch beach.This area is a quiet area that works well for peace and tranquility ,it is not suitable for parties .This property is perfect for couples,families and fishermen .The sunsets at the lake are worth watching!

Two bedroom/ 1 bath cottage located in coveted Hither Hills. Cottage includes shared^ key access to private parking lots along Old Montauk Highway that access a mile of private sandy ocean beach under the supervision of the Montauk Beach Property Owners Association, (MBPOA).

The retro Smeg fridge is capable of holding anything you may bring home, while still being stylish in its Union Jack uniform.

The down stuffed sectional couch is plenty comfortable, and can also sleep one guest if need be.

A washer and dryer closet is fully stocked, and new, along with all the other appliances in the cottage.

The Cottage is located about 2 miles east of town .It is with in walking distance of the famous surfing beach Ditch Plains , or a breezy night you can hear the surf breaking off in the distance from ditch plains out on the deck and 3.5 miles from Montauk Point and the famous Montauk Lighthouse that George Waskington commissioned in 1792.We are 2.4 miles from Ginbeach and .7 miles from the Montauk Lake Club on 2 nicely maintained acres directly on the water.

We are located directly on Montauk bay (lake Montauk) just steps from your own private beach out back.
